User ImageClover had to admit it was nice to have a boyfriend. Though somethings didn't change, like helping each other with homework, and hanging out. But things like hand holding made it feel so nice to be a couple. Not to mention Dorian was quite the gentleman about it too.

She was flattered when he asked to go home with him and meet his parents but she was going to spend it with her parents. However a few days later she got an owl saying that they had to go on a trip over the holiday. That was nothing new they always had to travel for their job at the ministry. It happened to be one where the mail was later in the day she and Dorian were working on their homework. She was a bit disappointed about it but Dorian said that his offer was still good. So she sent the back saying that she had an offer with a friend and asked if was okay to go to the Devereaux house for the winter holiday. She got another owl saying that yes it was okay. She did feel a bit bad about not saying that Dorian and her had become more then friends but she had been plaining to tell them when she saw them at the station, in person but that wasn't happening now. She didn't want to put it off too much longer ether though she didn't want to worry Dorian about it ether.

A few days after she got the okay to go she got two owls, one from both grandparent house holds. Grandmum who knew the Devereaux name. Was trying to get as much information to why and how Clover got invited to their house over the winter holiday. And weather she was going to marry into the such a prestigious family. As the Devereaux family was known for it's pure blood wizards. Of coarse this ticked Clover off for at least three days, she ended up burring the letter and writing to Grandmum that it wasn't any of her business who Clover was friends with and that even if she was dating it is too early to think about marriage.

The other was much more something she was expecting, Have fun, we'll send your Chistmas gift there, if you need anything ask, and our home is always open if you need to leave for what ever reason, and what kind of things that the friend she was staying with liked. She knew Grand-da knew of the Devereaux family too as he was from the Wizard world being a Wizard himself. But Grandma was a Muggle, and only knew enough of the Wizard world though her husband and kids. And they were just happy that Clover was able to spend time with friends. She sent a letter back asking for her snow shoes just in case, and turtles and otters for their question. It seemed to take a bit of time because she didn't get them till some it was the day before the train ride to London. They sent had sent her snow shoes, and her one of her wool blankets it being one of horses in a moon scape, incase the ride to London was cold, and a tin of assorted homemade cookies to snack on.
She packed her trunk and art kit and used her book bag to take the blanket and cookie tin and her Holyhead Harpies jewelry box. She'd put the trunk down in the cargo area of the train and take her book bag and art kit into the passenger compartment with her along with Dubhán. She left out some worm clothing that she would ware not worrying about her uniform as why wear it on a day one left the school on a weekend? So she wore clothing more suited to her taste then the school's.

Even going to bed relatively early Clover didn't get much sleep because she was rather kind of nervous in meeting Dorian's parent, or rather his father. He knew his mother was in St Mungo's though didn't quite know why. She figured if he wanted her to know he would tell her. She was glad he rode with her on the train because she was still a little wound when they boarded. She shared the cookies with him still getting some Chocolate Frogs, and Pumpkin Pasties from the troll and Hot Apple Cider to drink. If they got too cold she'd pull out the woven wool blanket but she didn't mind the cold too much since it was winter and the snow sat on the glass of the train window made for quite a nice view. It was a nice start to the winter holiday. As it started to get dark she found herself dosing off every now and then, she did after all had little sleep the night before. She actually fell asleep at one point and woke a little before they pulled into King's Cross. "I don't look to frazzled do I?" she asked seeing herself in the glass of the window and put anything that was loose in a her bag. "You looking forward to seeing your parents again?" she asked.

User Image Dorian had been much happier over the past few months with Clover as his girlfriend. Sure he'd been ragged on by the other boys, Quill especially. He didn't mind one bit. It was all worth it.

Just to be around Clover every day lifted his spirits more than anything else could. Quill rather obnoxiously told him that Clover must have bewitched him out of his bad mood. Dorian had laughed at him and left Quill looking confused.

Honestly, she had bewitched him, but not with any spell or potion. It was her presence, her fierce protectiveness, and passion that drew him to her. He had known other passionate people, but not any as loyal or as honest as Clover. It was refreshing to him. Most girls would make a game of catching a boy but not Clover. Her innocence and freshness were very appealing. He knew she wasn't the type to play around with his emotions. And that was what he loved the most about her. She got who he was and wasn't going to play around.

It had been rather out of character of him to ask someone home for the holidays. It was rather selfish on his part, he just couldn't imagine going through two and a half weeks of not seeing her. He had been disappointed when she initially told him that she was going to spend it with her parents. He felt rather daft for thinking she'd want to spend it away from them.

It wasn't like he had grown up with two loving parents like Clover though. He had grown up with a father and an older half-sister who took turns caring for him. He had never really known his mother very well. When she had been around she'd been moody and standoffish. She was always pushing him away, whether physically or mentally. He had never really understood why.

Dorian had felt bad when Clover had received the letter from her parents telling her that they would be gone for the entire holiday. He was glad that she was going to spend it with him, but he couldn't help but feel annoyed with himself for it. He should be more sympathetic towards her feelings, especially when she was so disappointed.

He half wondered if she had told her family about him yet, but figured he wouldn't press her about it. It would happen all in good time. There was no need to rush anything. He had only written to two people in his family about her becoming his girlfriend, his half-sister, Korina and his Grand Mere Elise. He had figured that his sister would tell his father but he wasn't too sure about it.

He had told his Grand Mere since she was going to be the hostess and needed to know who would be staying in her home. It had been odd to have her write him back so quickly asking him about Clover's preferences. Like what sort of soaps she might like, or if she had a sheet count she preferred. It was almost as though his Grand Mere was trying to curb favor with Clover..though he knew it was just her way of making people feel comfortable in her home.

He had never really invited anyone home before, so he wasn't sure how his father might react to his first visitor being a girl. He just hoped his father wouldn't embarrass him by telling Clover all the terrible childhood mishaps he had gone through.

It was only later that he found out that this year, it was going to be something of a reunion of extended family at the Deveraux mansion in France. He was a little wary of being around so many people and having to share Clover with all of them. That was when he had taken the initiative to talk to his sister and see if they could plan something to do away from everyone else.

Korina had suggested that after the Holiday party, the three of them could go up to the mountains to her friend's lodge and go skiing and just enjoy the rest of the holiday there. Dorian had thought Clover would love doing something like that, but decided to keep it a surprise for her. Plus that way no one else would find out and try to hone in on their private holiday.

He had spent most of the trip seated next to Clover, reading one of his Sherlock mysteries. It had been nice just siitting cuddling close without anyone interrupting them. Well save for when the treat trolley came by. Not that they needed to get anything, Clover's grandmother had sent her a whole tin of cookies to snack on so they had shared those. He had gotten some chocolate frogs, pumpkin pasties and hot apple cider the second time it had come around.

During the train ride, Dorian could tell that Clover was nervous. He wasn't sure how to relax her until she turned and asked him if she looked frazzled.

He looked her over carefully and then leaned in close.
"Maybe a little, but that's perfectly normal. I'd be feeling the same way if I were meeting your parents for the first time. Don't worry too much, my father is a pleasant sort. He'll make you feel welcome." he assured her.

"Yes, last holiday Father was away working on business the entire time. I did manage to see Mum in St. Mungos, though she didn't recognize me. I guess I grew up way too much for her to know it was me. Ah well. Probably for the best." He replied with a sigh.

Clover smiled and nodded, "Yeah I guess you would be nervous. If you were meeting Ma and Dad, Maybe during Summer you could visit us... though I don't really know where we would put you to sleep, Ma is kind of a don't get more then you need when it comes to the house.... I guess you'd probably get a room at the farm... but you'd have to help out" she said thinking it would only be fair to host him at her home. "I had planed on telling Ma and Dad about us in person though. It doesn't feel right to tell them in a letter, ya know?" she asked before adding, "Emma might tell my grandparents though... so Ma and Dad might learn that way. I did tell her I want to tell them in person but sometimes things slip."

She smiled knowing it must have been hard for him to have his mother not even recognize him. "It's sad that people lose their minds weather muggles or wizards" she said taking his hand in hers. "It's harder for the people who love them then it is for the one affected. I'm sorry she didn't remember you." she said softly.

the train wheels started squeaking as they reversed the and pulled into the station. Clover did one quick look around to make sure that anything that had been out was back into a bag even getting up to check under her. "Well guess it's time to get our trunks." she said stretching a little. She got the two cat carriers out from above the seats before putting her art bag on her shoulder. It was a bit of a wonder how Dubhán's carrier fit above them as it was large enough for a large dog to be in.

Clover waited for him to get up and then got off the train with him. "I can get the trollies for our trunks." she said looking around a bit. "Or we could try and find your family first," she said. She got bumped by someone who was getting off behind them making her shake her head, "Should know better then to stand in front of a door." she said as if repeating something and moved so a slightly better spot. "After all it could have been manure I was carrying. Thanks for getting in my into my head Mr. Gaffe." she muttered to herself having heard Mr. Gaffle say it a load of times when she ended up being in his way.

To be honest she was trying to figure out what to give him as a gift, or rather two gifts, as she knew his birthday was also coming up after they returned back to Hogwarts, She knew he liked Sherlock Homes books, but she figured he probably had every book written by Sir. Arthur Conan Doyle. She thought about doing a picture but felt that was just so mundane, that she couldn't get away with giving him two. She knew he'd probably like anything she gave him and almost thought about claiming the gift that Grandma been working on. She nixed that right away after all she wasn't one who liked to lie. Not to mention when would she have the time to do what her grandma did.

Dorian couldn't even imagine how he would react to meeting Clover's parents and grandparents. It was a good thing she had a small family compared to his. Now might be a good time to tell her about the family reunion so she wouldn't be blind-sided.
When she mentioned that there would be more room at her grandparent's farm the ideas of helping out farm animals intrigued him. He had never really been around animals all that much so it would be a new experience for him. Plus he'd get to see if common animals liked him or not.
"That' sounds like it would be a fun experience. I've never really been to a farm before. What kind of animals to they have? What sort of chores or tasks would they expect me to help with?"

Just thinking about spending a whole summer with Clover was exciting to him. Even if he did have to do some hard work it would be worth it to spend those summer months with her. Then again she hadn't said the entire summer so perhaps that would be too much to expect. His family would probably object to him being gone for so long. They usually took trips all over Europe and sometimes they'd even go to Louisianna for a couple of weeks in July. Maybe he should ask and see if Clover and her parents could come along as well. He imagined they probably hadn't been to the States before.

"So I have something to confess to you." He paused and worked up the courage to go on. "I haven't told my father about you either. My sister Kory and my Grandmere know. All my father knows is that I'm bringing a friend home with me. He has no clue that I have a girlfriend and that you're coming for the holiday. I hope you're not too annoyed with me. I just couldn't figure out how to bring it up in a letter. Perhaps finding out in person would be better? Don't worry he'll not yell at me in public, so we're safe from him doing that. He'll wait until we get home to do that. "

Dorian nodded his head in agreement to Clover's statement about people losing their minds. It was really sad. He raised her hand and kissed it lightly and cast a glance up into her bright green eyes. She really was a wonderful girlfriend. He was glad she knew what to say to help him.

"Oh also; there's supposed to be a big family reunion that's supposed to happen at Christmas at my Grandmere's mansion. I didn't remember until a few days ago, and I didn't know how to tell you earlier. I didn't want to scare you off from coming." He confessed. "You're not mad I didn't tell you earlier are you?"

Dorian was surprised how quickly the train ride had gone, it had always seemed to go so much slowly all the other times. Perhaps just spending time with Clover helped the time go that much more quickly. He gathered up his things and shoved them into his bag.

"I guess it is. Let me get those," Dorian said taking the cat carriers from her and leading her off the train. "I doubt we'll need a trollies, my father probably brought one of his cars with him.

He didn't even hear what she said to herself when she got bumped, he was shooting an annoyed glance at the boys who had ran into her. "Hey you should watch where you're going!" he told them harshly.

They boys looked back with startled expressions. "Oh sorry about that Miss." Then they turned and ran off.

"They must be first years," Dorian muttered as they finally made their way through the crowd. "Ah, there's Kory! Hey Kory! Here we are!" Dorian yelled raising one of the cat carrier's higher so his sister could see him.

A tall young woman with plumb colored hair walked over to them and threw her arms around him and hugged him while he still held onto the cat carriers.

"You've grown at least three inches since I've seen you last little brother!" She said laughing as she looked him over.

"And you must be Clover Heartwel! It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Korina Devereaux. Father's getting the trunks, so don't worry about those. I hope you don't mind but I told him that Clover was your girlfriend. When he found out your friend had a girl's name he seemed surprised. So I told him that you guys had just gotten closer and were actually dating. He seemed genuinely happy to hear it, so I don't think he'll be too annoyed that you didn't tell him."

Dorian couldn't help but be relieved that he wouldn't have to tell his father after all. "Thanks, I guess. I was going to tell him when I introduced her to him. I just didn't know how to write it in words. It's not really that easy to do. It's not like I've had that much experience with it." He admitted.

A moment later, his father was standing next to them smiling.

"Well hello there young lady, I hear you're Dorian's girlfriend. It's a pleasure to get to meet you. I am Sebastian Devereaux,I hope I get to know you better over the holiday. If there's anything you need just let Korina or I know. You are our guest and we would like you to feel like you are a member of our family. The car is this way if you'll all follow me. I've already made sure the trunks were moved to the trunk."

With that being said, the senior Devereaux ushered them down the walkway to a large limousine that was waiting. He opened the back door and helped his daughter and then Clover into the back seat. Dorian was about to go in after them when his father put his hand on Dorian's shoulder and closed the door.

"Dorian, I am happy you've found such a lovely young lady. I am sorry that you didn't know how to tell me before. I hope you're not scared of that I might try and challenge your feelings about her. I want you happy. I want you to be with someone who appreciates you. I have a good feeling about her, I think she'll be great for you. Now then, where should we put these cats? Do you think they're tired of their cages yet?"

Dorian sighed in relief. He had thought his father was going to say something much different. "Thanks Father, I'm glad you feel that way. I wasn't scared about telling you, I just didn't know how to. Not after that past girl and what she did to me. I'd think Samhain and Remy would prefer to ride home out of their cages. They haven't gotten to stretch their legs in awhile." He replied.

Sebastian laid an arm across Dorian's shoulders and hugged him to his side. "I'm glad it wasn't that you were scared of me. Ah yes, you may be happy to know that she's been moved to a new school in America. Apparently she's acted out too many times at Hogwarts as well. I just hope the American school is more forgiving than the others. Well then, let's let them out into the car and then get in after them."

Dorian wasn't surprised to hear his old girlfriend, the one that had broken his heart so badly wasn't doing so well. She had seemed like a mess when she had been with him as well. He wondered if she just did it for attention. Sometimes people didn't know how to deal with problems in their family life all that well.

He opened the door and released the cats from their carriers. The two cats immediately pounced for the two girls' laps and laid down. Dorian shook his head laughing and got in sitting next to Clover. His father followed and moved to the opposite side and settled in next to his daughter.

"Let's get going driver" He called out to the driver. The man nodded and tipped his hat before starting the engine and pulling out onto the road.

"So Clover, why don't you tell us what sort of things you do for your holidays at home. Perhaps we can try and do some of those things while you're with us. We really do need some new family traditions." Korina said stroking down Remy's soft blue starry fur.

Clover smiled a little at his enthusiasm for going over to the farm. "Mostly sheep and goats but there are a few others like Bella she's an Australian Sheppard, though she's getting a bit old. a few cows and horses, Chickens, normally a few other birds, Jasper the mailing owl, he's a barn owl, his mate is too but she's wild, So we don't use her unless the package is too much for Jasper." She explained "Grand-da won't let pigs till they have a pure white wolfhound. You know because of Nogtails. The last thing he wants is to curse the farm after all... Oh there's a Kelpie apparently in the swimming lake now, so unless we tame it, we won't be able to go swimming anymore." she thought aloud.

She was a little stunned that he also hadn't told his father but not because he didn't try to but because he didn't know how to put it in words. Though she was a bit concerned about how he thought his father would react. She smiled and blushed a bit when he kissed her hand as she was trying comfort him.

She blinked a bit about the family reunion part, "No, I'm... I'm not mad. I guess I can understand you not wanting to scare me off." She had told him as he had taken the cat carriers.

She had only got the part about the kids that ran into her being first "Yeah must be."[/g] she agreed with a shrug as he spotted his sister. She smiled watching the interaction of siblings. It kind of made her wish she had a sibling of her own. His sister then turned to her. "Yes I'm Clover Heartwel." she said then smiled as Mr. Devereaux showed up. "Well we were friends from all the way back in our first year so I've always been a girl friend, two words kind, of his but I've only been his girlfriend, one word kind, for a couple of months to be honest. But thank you for hosting me with my parents off on a job." She thanked.

She then followed the others as they left Kings Cross to the car, or rather limousine. Her eyes grew a bit but was ushered into the thing trying to compute just how grand their 'house' must have been. She had something like the Hogwarts Castle but in a more modern style in her mind she blinked when door was closed. She the realize that Dorian and his father were still outside of the car, though she didn't know what is said.

When Dubhán jumped on her lap she calmed some and pet his black fur. "Well, if we went to my maternal grandparents farm, we would decorate the tree together, but it doesn't look coherent or well balanced. Then on my grandma's birthday we'd get the hoses hitched and take a hay ride in the wagon or the sled into town and help those that might not have had a good yield or someone who might not have the strength to do something like they use to. My grandma is a Muggle so we help the town some..." She said with a smile. "Because it's winter we would only need to care for the animals, because plants don't do as well in winter, and the ground is hard, though I guess Grand-da could make it so it was workable. But the sheep are more important during the winter. We'd Sing songs, Drink hot apple cider and hot chocolate, and sit to dinner that we all made something of, I normally do something like the mashed potatoes." she blushed a bit saying it out loud. "We would each get a pie of our own which because we'd be too stuffed from dinner we would always eat for breakfast... instead of presents on the end of the bed on Christmas morning, like at my parents house, or my Pleural Grandparents house. On Christmas Eve night we would open one present each, around our out door fire pit, then open the others the next day as a family. We'd do some skiing if it snowed.

"If I were at my Grand-mum's home, she'd have a tree that was decorated in some theme that never was the same, nor would I get. Then ... she'd try to teach me .... edict.."
she said a bit dryly before coming to some kind of realization. "Uh... that Family reunion... uh how... formal is it going to be?" she asked getting a bit pale. She wasn't exactly what one would call a girly-girl. However she did kind of like the idea of dressing up and once and a wile, and dressing up for a date for Dorian. She lowered her gaze to look at Dubhán on her lap to hide her flushed face. "They way I just rambled about the farm I must sound like some gold digging country bumpkin" she thought to herself.

Looking down at the black mass of fur she remembered "Oh Dubhán is part Kneazle, so he can't have milk." she said looking up again. She figured if she said something now that it would be better then later. She felt like a bit of an air head. "Still have some homework and things like that." she said glad to have Dubhán in her lap so her hands more or less had something to do.

With decent weather Clover didn't do as good at keeping up on the classes she didn't care for as much, which was a good thing that Dorian would ask about it if they didn't have classes together It wasn't that she was bad at them, she just didn't care for them. She wasn't as bad at potions as some would think, she just didn't like it down in the dungeons, If Clover really applied herself she would probably do pretty good on her O.W.L.s come spring, After all she did okay staying on top of them when the weather was wet.

She really wasn't too bad of a cook it was just that Emma and her grandma were better, and Clover's skill lacked next to them Emma's natural talent for cooking, and by extension potion making, Clover wasn't quite looking forward to her potions assignment for over the winter brake. She didn't know about Slyitheren and Gryffindor, but Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff had to do a study of two potions that had an opposed effect on something. And lucky Clover got Love and Hate for her potions. She didn't know weather to be annoyed or amused that she got something the other girls would actually want to make.

Dorian was surprised to hear just how many animals there were on the farm. He figured that the Australian Sheppard was more than likely a breed of dog, though he hadn't heard of the breed before. "Oh well that's understandable." He replied remembering when they had covered Nogtails in their class. "No farmer would want a blight on their farm like a Nogtail." he added. "A kelpie? Wow your farm really is teeming with animals." he said in surprise. He had only ever heard of them and had always wanted to see one. "Perhaps I can help you with that." He said hopefully.

He was rather relieved that she wasn't annoyed with him about not telling his father sooner. And her reaction to his family reunion was a surprise. Normal girls would have run off when they had heard a huge family was going to ascend upon the holidays, or so he had experienced in the past.

Dorian was really glad to see his sister. It felt like ages since they had last seen each other. He felt awkward as she hugged him while his hands were full. He would have hugged her back if she had given him the chance to put the cases down first. Still there were other things to deal with.

Kori smiled back at Clover. "It's lovely to meet you, Dorian's told me all about you. Well I shouldn't say that, he's kept a few things to himself I'm sure. There are some things he probably doesn't want me to know." She added with a smile and winking at him.

Dorian shook his head.

Kori was a bit surprised when her father left her and Clover in the car for a moment with the door closed. "He must have something to say to Dorian that he felt should be private I guess. It really is good that you came to visit, even if it wasn't planned too far ahead. To be honest, Dorian usually shuts himself away from everyone and doesn't come out until we eat. I think you help bring out his social side." She confided.

The door opened a moment later and the two men joined them in the car. Kori shot Dorian a searching lool. When he nodded back to her she smiled and turned to listen to Clover's answer. She slowly pet Remy's blue shiny coat her head inclined towards Clover as she listened.

"That sounds like fun," Dorian commented. "We normally have someone decorate the tree for us. Do you think we could do it ourselves this year father?"

The senior Devereaux nodded. "Of course, it would be fun to try something new. I bet we could even go on a sleigh ride as well if Clover would like."

"Pie for breakfast sounds divine." Kori sighed with a dreamy look on her face. "Much better than that meat thing Granmiere usually has. Maybe we can convince her to change the menu."

Dorian could tell by how pale Clover had become that she was still nervous about the dress for the reunion. He reached over and patted her hand. "It's definitely formal, I always have a penguin suit that I have to wear. Don't worry too much about it though. Kori said she'd help you in the dress and hair area. I imagine she'd even help you with anything else you might need help with as well."

Kori nodded, and put an arm around Clover's shoulders. "Don't feel like you're out of your league, when I first was introduced to the family I had grown up on the streets with my mother. So I know what you're thinking. There might be one or two stuck up people in the family but don't worry. Dorian and I will make sure the don't bother you too much. And if they do make sure we know."

Sebastian (the senior) Devereaux seemed surprised and intrigued to hear about Dubhain's breed. "That is very interesting. I'll make sure the staff knows not to put milk out for him. Does Remy still drink milk Dorian?"
he asked turning to his son.

"Sometimes, but I'll make sure it's only out in my room so that Dubhain won't get into it." Dorian replied shooting Clover a look of concern.

She seemed almost overwhelmed and was drawing in on herself. Kind of like what he normall did around large crowds of people.

"So father, do you know of anthing special that Granmiere and Granpepe might want for christmas? I've been wracking by brain but I still can't think of anything. Perhaps we could go out tomorrow, so I could look at a few things?" Dorian asked, attempting to change the subject and get the attention off of Clover.

"I have a few ideas, we can talk them over when we get home if you'd like. Kori have you gotten all your gifts already?"

"Yes Father, I have. If Clover would like I can help her with her homework and getting her any supplies she might need for it. Then once she's settled and done with her homework she and I can talk about what type of dress she might like to wear."

When Dorian offered to help train the Kelpie, Clover smiled nodded, "Sounds good," she agreed. She knew it he liked animals too, but he was in awe of the animals on the farm. It would be nice to work with him taming animals together.

When Kori made her all-about-you comment, it made Clover's cheeks go a little red. The way Kori had said it, it seemed like she was implying Dorian and She had done more then hang out, holding hands, and him kissing her hand. The right moment hadn't really presented itself for a real kiss yet. Well that and she wasn't like other girls, and play games. A first kiss wasn't something to take lightly, but she also didn't want to disappoint him, as he had been kissed. She was kind of scared of being a bad kisser.

When they were in the car Kori said that their father must have wanted to have a word with Dorian, Clover simply nodded. When Kori said that Clover brought out his social side, this both confused and slightly upset her. Dorian had other friends, didn't he? She couldn't possibly be the one who broke the one friendship he had with someone else, or did she? She felt a little guilty at that thought and looked at Dorian saddened.

She smiled a little at the Devereauxs's excitement for the traditions they had on the farm. "Well it isn't that hard to decorate a tree, especially with the levitation charm for the stuff up high, it's also a good family building time. And I wouldn't mind a sleigh ride, but you don't have to change any plans you had in place before Dorian invited me. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful, I am vary grateful that you're hosting me," She said "However, if you still wish to do them, I wouldn't mind sharing the experiences with you, as I experience your traditions too, I mean." she said with a bit blush as she pet Dubhán's fur

Clover realized that Dorian was trying to comfort her about her realization of the formality of the family reunion, as did Kori, but Kori's words confused her. "On the street with your mother? Doesn't the Devereaux family have homes in other countries?" She asked "I knew you and Dorian had different mothers I didn't know you had different childhoods. Or if Dorian did tell me I might have thought something else." She admitted "Then again I don't pry too much because I figure if I'm meant to know about something I'll find out when the time is right, I guess that's one of the things my grandma tot me." she admitted

"Thank you," She said softly, "I'm glad to know that he'll get good care. Most cats do better with goat's milk over bovine, but I guess that's only important when they are still at nursing age and removed from the mother, or a runt," she said and half laughed at herself, "Sorry, I love animals," she added from her little milk lesson.

She had calmed down some, though she was still feeling a little nervous, she was doing her best. She could understand that Kori and Mr. Deveraux would want to know about the first person Dorian brought home, even more of his girlfriend. She was glad that he tried to change the subject to gift ideas for their grandparents. Though it seemed his father didn't want to talk about gifts in front of Clover, that was alright though since that was part of the Christmas fun to wait.

She was a little stunned when Kori offered to help. "You want to help me with my homework? Did Dorian say something about my... disliked classes?" he asked not knowing why she had offered to help with her homework. "Though, my potion's class assignment I do need to buy some ingredients." she admitted glancing away. Had Dorian mentioned Clover's tendency to procrastinate on assignments of classes she didn't like? Or was this Kori's way of getting to know Clover? She hoped it was more the second then the first.

Dorian's family just want to know me, thought it almost feels like his sister is reading my mind. What was that skill called again? she thought to herself. But Dorian would have told me if she was right? Yeah, he would have told me if his sister was a mind reader. she took a breath as she thought that.

"As for kind of dress I'd like, I don't really know," She admitted, "The, dresses I was forced to wear at my Grand-mum's were all old, and ... well half of it was that she forced me to wear them, so I haven't really ever found a dress that I like yet. I guess if there is one I'd like I wouldn't mind wearing it. It's actually been a wile since I've warn one that wasn't the uniform, so maybe it'll be better now that I'm older? I don't know much about makeup ether to be honest. I could probably figure out how to do a fountain braid with my hair. Mrs. McQuen had done my hair that way once when I was younger." She said with a sad smile. "So it'll be interesting to wear a dress, after all this time." She didn't know why but she actually liked the idea of getting dressed up, and surprising Dorian a little bit in the possess.
