► Mint Pinion is worn over top of standard footwear. The AT has two modes: Standby and Geared. In Standby, the inline skates are at rest behind the leg of the wearer, letting the shoe treads be on the ground. Geared is activated by kicking hard forward, then dragging back to lock the inline skates in place underneath the feet the wearer, effectively "gearing up" to ride. The is accomplished through a unique overlay bracer that is worn in addition to shoes. It has bracing around the ankles to minimize potential damage, and secures the inline skates to whatever the user is wearing. Mint Pinion's design is a white bracer with mint green wheels and some mint and gold accents. There are 4 wheels, in lieu of only two as the standard.

This trick involves the user expanding upon their own run by taking advantage of the wind around them then applying their own for aerial boosting effects. The resulting effect usually gives the impression that the user is flying or gliding through the air when, in reality, they simply caught a tailwind and became a part of it, so to speak. As the user progresses in skill, they eventually learn to perform this technique at will, making it appear as though their run is a smooth flight. This trick can only be used every other post. This is an E Class trick.

Through a very simple, but abrupt, body motion the user can influence the wind to the point of a very brief push. This sudden wind blast from very close quarters has a full body range, covering the user's circumference. The technique allows the user to disrupt close ranged wind efforts and halting incoming projectiles. This works by expelling the wind that is about them outwards, affecting its direction flow and amassing it briefly before the push following a strong and sudden 'flex' of the entire body. Not long after gaining air does the user tilt forward and aside in a three hundred and sixty degree corkscrew. During this motion the body is constantly in an arcing path, turning and contorting in a slow and steady aerial gyroscope. Once exiting the corkscrew the user's frame is turned horizontally, upper body still winded as they turn and perform an inverted split with their legs. After this peak maneuver the user turns with their back facing the intended landing area. During the entire way down, the user performs a singular somersault, stabilizing for the backwards riding skid to a stop.

Utilizing their perception on the wind currents the user is able to tap into a air stream while combining their tail wind to amplify the speed and distance covered by their jumps. That is the fundamentals to the trick, but the trick itself is to rush full speed using those fundamentals before tossing all momentum gained forward while keeping balance to surf the air. This is a fast moving jump which can cover a vast distance.

Backstory: Max is the son of Billos Hunter, one of the founders of the multi billion dollar company: Req. Co. This afforded him the luxury not afforded to his father and many of the working class citizens in America. Max spent most of his time growing up in New York and New Orleans. His father wanted his schooling to be done in New York with his cousins Nova and Kesshin, but he would always go home for the summer to spend time at the family estate in New Orleans -more often then not, bringing his cousins with him-. Growing up privileged didn't really affect Max. His father was always considered a 'gambler' of sorts and Max somehow inherited this two edged trait. Unlike his cousin (Nova), Billos has come to terms with who he is and what weight his name carries, but that doesn't stop him from squaring up to anyone who disrespects his cousins, entire family, and (in some cases) friends. Max waited to start riding treks until after he graduated high school and has been continuing to improve his riding. The Rising Rider's waves affect those in the visual range, making it seem as though they are what they aren't. At the lowest level of usage, a rider can only hold this charade in their position. Only with the introduction of some metallic beacon in their arsenal can they expand upon the range of their beginner trick.
-----→ Lightning Spider Net - C Rank -------► With an increase in skill and the introduction of some conductive wiring into their arsenal, the Rising Rider can make use of their new 'tool' to both expand their range of wave transfer and entangle others. This technique involves the user sending forth their wires to ensnare foes, purposely spreading the mass of strands out in a wide, net-like, fashion to catch and restrain before physically (or magnetically) sticking to a surface. As a result, the trick makes the trapped rider appear as though they were caught in a spider's net, unable to move. The user can then generate a low to moderate level electrical pulse through the strands, sending a 'tingle' through the affected to temporarily immobilize them until freed. The technique has the potential to constrict and dig into flesh, possibly lacerating.
-----→ Tesla Coil - A Rank -------► With both the highest degree of wire manipulation and electromagnetic wave control, the Rising rider can execute a massive fluctuation of electric energy on the spot. The user will first manipulate their wires to coil about their body, positioning them a distance away to not harm themselves. Afterward, the rider's AT will make contact with the wire and send out a brief, powerful, discharge of very potent electricity. The coil about their body is thrust outwards, electricity forming a moderate sized barrier around them. The wires continuously emit this stream of electricity, lasting a while before dissipating or being recharged with more electricity. This functions as both an offensive and defensive measure, able to send out a pulse of electric energy to both damage and push back others.

-----→ Get Together - B Rank -------► Through the manipulation of ambient negatively charged electrical particles in the air and the positive charge of minerals found in the earth, the user generates a powerful electromagnetic field that immediately attracts all metallic objects to the ground. With proper application this Trick can not only magnetize and disarm all wielders of metallic weapons in the area, it may even immobilize Storm Riders themselves by forcing an attraction between their Air Treks and the ground. Like it's predecessor, Ensnare follows a very basic concept by entrapping the opponent through the use of wire (Magnetic Straps in Onibasu's case) as a restraint. Where the two differ, however, is through the use of electricity. Unlike "Lightning Spider Net," and its use of large amounts of powerful current to fatally electrocute the opponent. Entangle opts for a more pacifistic route, manipulating the opponent's body into a staged paralysis through the use of Alpha Waves to block the electrical synapses from the brain to the muscles by disrupting the cortex -- immobilizing them. This paralytic effect only lasts [1] post when used on an individual.

In spite of all its devastating strength the punch itself is very slow to build and easily telegraphed; making it figuratively a cannon with a single shot. As such, it should be considered an opening move to lead into a series of attacks and not the intended attack itself. -----→ In Step: Reverse Turn Stance - F Rank -------► The "In step" is a simple move of simply pointing the toes inwards meeting a 90"-45" degree angle placing their heels at an angle too. This positioning of the feet allows one to consistently keep themselves moving in an forward motion while the other skate causes them to veer to the left or right and perform something for a short or wide turn. This motion is a basic thing that most anyone can do but when reversing the forward motion into a backwards one reveals the full use of the In Step: Reverse Stance. The Stance causes a tight spinning turn about motion that can allow the rider to turn around abruptly to change direction fluidly out of their forward run. By slowing their motion and Turning all at once and one AT pulls back while the other pushes forward into the reversed motion. This way the rider can aim their back or front in any direction in short notice and perform attacks in this turn about fashion that may benefit from the recoiling whiplash of pulling back their forward momentum abruptly to swing their bodies about or continue to spin in place. This motion is more strong than fast and requires the rider to bend their knees slightly or rather low to adjust according to how much recoil their speed incurred. As time passes this turn about motion can fluidly work in to just about any run style the user may conceive as they progress growing more fluid as they grow in ability.

-----→ Gladius Method - B Rank -------► More so a skill or run style, the Gladius Method involves the application of rope/wire/et cetera based weapons within the user's run. The Gladius Method is simply the ability of the user to have a trained sense of control when it comes to handling these types of weapons while riding A-T. Riders using this method will usually tie their wire or rope around their legs at one or more places, leaving the opposite end free to dangle. This run method, like most, is a hands free type. It involves the user taking advantage of their A-T's afforded mobility to attack with whatever type of weapon they keep at the free end of their attached strand. Without this skill the user is likely to harm them self, as they don't have the practiced understanding of their chosen weapons weight and it's reaction to certain gestures at the traveling rate of the rider while on skates. Once trained the user is able to perceive their specific weapons path of motion when riding, taking advantage of such to send out mid to long range melee attacks. By holding on to a pole of sorts with one hand while running one’s ATs in a vertical grind, the user spins all the way up said pole. This skill is useful for scaling up buildings that are too tall to jump or keeping up with someone who can jump much better than yourself. However, the Upper Soul is not as fast as a jump.
-----→Super Stride IV Sonic Boom - F Rank -------► This basic ground technique is used for evasion in a run as well as a manner of striking enemies on either side of the user with ease. The trick is usually practiced by criss crossing bottles or cans, performing rudiment 'Karaoke' styled feet transitions with the skates at top speed. The result is the ability to zig zag in short bursts to the left and right, able to veer with at least a seven foot distance between each strides beginning and end point. This allows the user to evade incoming projectiles of small size or maneuver to melee attack enemies in rapid succession. • Air Stream!: The beginning riders of the famed Death Road begin their aggressive journey with a very volatile (but necessary) skill. The natural run of a Death Rider is composed completely of powerful strides. This characteristic is combined with the mechanical effects of insane braking heat released at incredible speed rates. Though the more inexperienced riders are not yet at a point where they can properly propel the heat, they can expel it in a 'nitrous stream'. By building a massive amount of heat through acceleration of their natural run, the heat will naturally cycle the circumference of the wheel, gathering as a light glowing tint of orange. The layered heat is released in specifically timed strides wherein the user stomps and tilts forward, pressuring and braking with the front wheel for a brief second. Despite the instance of braking in the trecks, the user actually shows no sign of having attempted to stop. Instead the nitrous stream funnels out from behind the trecks, forcing a massive speed increase to reach max in a matter of moments. The release used in the Air Stream trick is a juvenile version of the more powerful, compressed, ones used later on. This trick can only be used every other post. This is a D Rank Trick.
• Air Cannon: More experienced riders of the Death Road have mastered the physical technique required to control their chaotic run. At this point the rider is skilled enough to perform a different type of 'release method'. Specifically, the signature method of the Death Road. Similar to the bloody road's "Zero-Max-Zero" theory, the Air Cannon requires the user first gather breaking heat through their run. The accumulated heat is amassed as a potent aura of vapor (liquified air). In what would appear to be the blink of an eye, the user will snap kick. In said motion the heat is removed from the treck, suspended momentarily, then propelled by a second powerful kick. The resulting beam of heated air has potential to dent sheet metal, completely sear through clothes, and burn flesh if with full and sustained contact. This is a C Class trick.

-----→ {Rising Action Kick l D} -------► A beginning rider of the Over Road starts with the basic understanding of the 'Windmill Theory', making use of it in a very simple way. The basic circulation of wind during movement in a run is focused at the ATs, being ventilated before a 'thrusting' release from both ATs at once. This apparent 'boost' to the user is actually an offensive type trick, giving the user a compressed physical impact depending on the amount of wind gathered before the missile-like impact is made. If performed inside of a tailwind, the user can actually change direction to follow any curve or invert at an increased rate. This initially appears to be riding on air but is so brief and short-lived that it's obvious the user has no extended flight time. This is a D Class trick.
-----→{Climax Cannon l C} -------► The Over Road rider has advanced to the point that their understanding of the Windmill Theory and it's execution is to a more malleable degree. In this offensive technique, the user applies the theory to a wide arcing kick of some kind. At the peak of their kick's height, the wind is gathered and compressed in one swoop of the limb, causing a nitrous-like stream of wind to follow the kick's path. This forces the kick to be completed in a linear path from that point on, propelling the limb to follow it's course. At the end of the process, the accumulated wind explodes outwards the direction intended, expanding to form a what would appear to be a massive 'barrel' before the Over rider. This chamber is just a visual effect of displaced air, the actual attack being a fired beam of compressed wind energy. The pressurized cannon explodes with a concussive force upon impact, being enough to shatter wood and dent weak surfaces. This is a C Class trick.

-----→ {Moon Walk l F} -------► {The "Moon Walk" skill is a supplementary one, becoming usable at any point in time after learning. This AT riding skill is an advancement upon the user's reverse riding. With this ability, the rider can skillfully ride backwards with the same versatility as they do forward. The rider is only required to keep track of their rear every so often, making sure they can tell where they're going. The higher rank the rider is, the less frequent this glancing back is required. Riders of [ B Class ] and above appear to not even have to look where they're going over. Their general skills allow them to ride backwards with optimal efficiency, only needing a single look of whatever is going to be behind them to keep track of what's going on or could happen. This pertains to things such as cars, ledges, or other obstacles where the user could simply maneuver over them as if to have predicted their coming. }

-----→ {Gust l C} -------► By gathering air the user is able to compress and send it out at an opponent by using the basic's of the Over Road, this is similar to Climax Cannon, bust instead of sending it out as a beam its sent out in wave form as a concussive force.
-----→{True Resistance l C} -------► With this nifty little trick the rider of the Over Road must be able to suck in and blow out the air around them in its most basic of forms, without the ability to do so to the air the trick is of no use. In order to do this trick the rider must vacuum in the air in behind them using their road and blow it in a steady stream in front them creating a great opposing force in a straight line from where they are standing. In order for this trick to be of use the rider must first learn Moon Walk in order to face his opponent while they are in front of them, this being mainly used in dash, hurdles, or air matches to hinder the opponents speeds. Prerequisite Required: Moon Walk
-----→{Wind Absorption l RankC-S} -------► Much like the trick True Resistance this trick uses the mechanics of the Over Road in order to suck in air from in front of the user and blow it back out behind them. However this specific trick is more focused on speeding up the user than to slow down the opponent the trick no longer making use of riding backward. In this addition the user looks straight ahead allowing the wind being blown behind the rider to speed him up significantly during the duration of the boost. - During the boost period the users speed is increased by ten - The boost lasts for three posts before diminishing.
-----→{Mirror World l Rank A} -------► This is a highly advanced Over road trick that requires the usage of two or more Over Road riders. One rider acts as a decoy, being the front man for in-coming attacks, or evasion. The other overroad rider collects wind and shoots it back out in "Mirrors" or large collections of walls that are so clear and thin, they can hide a set of people behind them. This is called optical phase conjugation in which the over road rider simply uses light and wind to trick the eyes. When the mirrors are created, the opposing rider is fooled into thinking that they are fighting one person, or that the other rider has vanished. When the decoy is hit, the hiding rider then comes out for a quick moment, a moment so quick that they are rendered unseen and strike the enemy. This move is meant to act as an "Eye for an eye" move. If the decoy gets hit, the reaction is to automatically attack. The amount of mirrors are ten, covering up to sixty feet. These mirrors are also considered reflective and thus send back any move ranked below. If an over road rider uses this move by themselves, it is simply a defensive move in which they reflect moves back by kicking up walls of wind. The true power is in the amount of over road riders used to make this trick.
-----→{Climax Canon Barrage l Rank B} -------► Expanding upon the usage of Climax cannon, the over-road rider begins their run by gathering a set force of wind. As they prepare their kick, they collect the wind into little orbs, or 'pockets' of wind that follow them along their. These orbs compress and gather into hardened spheres before the over-rider goes about the same process of a climax cannon. The same arch of the leg, the same rising action, etc, except this is now a series of kicks from the same arch as to release consecutive blasts of collected wind. The number of projectile orbs are five, can dent steel and fracture bones if taken head on as this is a more compressed and stronger version of Climax cannon.
-----→{Mine Field l Rank C} -------► An offensive part of the Over Road user's run. By constantly absorbing a set of wind and then pushing it back out, the over road rider can create up to 3 orbs of pressured wind. The rider does this through simple absorption such as from another trick, or from simply riding around enough. The orbs are clear, but easy to see upon getting close as the light reflects like a prism or giant bubble. The orbs travel with the rider until kicked somewhere else in which it simply stays in place upon contact. The mines explode into large bursts of pressured air that can sprain bones when hit after two posts.
-----→{Blast Zone l Rank B} -------► A more advanced version of mine zone. By adding the riders capability to fight with aerial combat and maneuver, the over road rider is able to absorb air needed to create more mines as well as even use them as they ride through the air. With the usage of gravity added to the riders run, the mines become more damaging. As long as the rider can run along the skies, they can create up to 5 mines in the same way as the rider makes their mines in the mine field trick. The difference between mine field and blast zone is that the over ride simply lets go of the mines previously created, dropping them to the ground. They explode on contact, but the rider can add a spin to their ride, stretching out the range of the orb to thirty feet of distance. The mines are bigger, the size of medicine balls. These explosions can break bones and fill up the area as the orbs explode for a range of 6ft an orb.
-----→{Stay-Afloat l Rank D} -------► A way to absorb air and walk on air. By constantly absorbing air into the Over-road riders tracks, they are able to put out a solid form of air under them to skate across. This gives the user the illusion that they are riding on air akin to the Wing Roads Wings.
-----→{Over-Barrier l Rank C-A} -------► A defensive move in the over riders run. By sucking up wind on their run, the over-road rider can store up a large amount of wind. The wind is then shot out as a solid barrier, or "wall" that shoots outward from the rider as they preform a spin, or rotation of their body and treks to shot the air outwards. The barrier acts as swirling wind that either deflects a move or stops it on impact. In order to block a move, the user must pay the amount of wear and stamina that matches the incoming move.
-----→{Blast Meteor l Rank C-A} -------► This is considered a follow up move to Over Barrier. This is where the reflective capabilities of Over Barrier comes into place. Once Over Barrier blocks a move, the inside over-rider immediately kicks the inside of the barrier rapidly. This shoots out many orbs of wind [10 at B rank, 15 at B rank and 20 at A rank] in all directions. These orbs are the size of basketballs and explode in a 10 foot radius whenever they hit something. The force is enough to dent steel and crack bones if someone is hit.

However her skin has a cutie mark right on the collar of her right breast, and on the the lower half on her stomach near her belly button. Other then that there is no real difference between the pic and her now.
Personality: Maddie is kind, and warm always working her hardest in the aspects of her life, also having a bit of a playful and cheery side as well. Though she is a bit of an air head at times and can focus out when she is concentrating on something like drawing, or just if she has something on her mind. She doesn't like being mean, fighting, or getting mad but when she does thats when she's a bit of a small flame, as her anger doesn't last and she tends to just pout when she unless she's really mad and it's serious like a friend intentionally hurting themselves which tends to bring her to tears. However despite this she loves to have fun with friends, and loves anime and games. Due to her home life she tends to get really excited around expensive things mostly out of curiousity for them. Though her passion lies with art and storm riding she's happiest when she sees someone smile doing one of the two to the point she has to draw it, and saddest when she fails to meet their expectations. Also she had to go away and do various odd jobs she has long absorbed certain cultures and become more of her own girl. She always looks towards her dream and friends with a big smile on her face. She gets afraid but isn't afraid to stand up and state when something is wrong. As a storm rider she loves it storm riding with a passion she seems to be happiest when on Air treks for some reason as if she belonged on them. She someday wants to see more people in air treks with the same smile she has when riding.
Backstory: Madison Maxwell was born an illegitimate of a noble family. Her mother a teen at the time feel in love with an american photographer, even though her parents wouldn't allow it. The two were a picture book story of a perfect secret love story. They were caught a few times but they'd always find a way to be together. They were together so much the inevitable happened and her mother got pregnant. Her family was outraged of course but allowed her to have the child and be with the man she loved thought they kept it a secret as well watching the two from afar having their daughter change her name to keep them hidden. The nine monthes to couple spent together was as if they were newly weds and they loved it. Her father planning to marry her mother after the pregnancy but sadly this was not to be.
When labor came for the mother as did the end of her life, Maddie's mother died during labor giving birth to a healthy baby girl. Her father was shattered but seeing that little girl brought his spirits up as he held her tight. However the mothers family looking at the girl decided to them the illegitimate child didn't exist in their eyes at all, she was an abomination and they wanted to keep this a secret and away from the family forever. However they weren't completely heartless to the photographer's grief and plight, and the fact remained the baby girl was indeed of their blood. They gave him a deal, they'd give him a small fortune to help raise the girl far away from their family. The photographer wiped his tears and shook his head and asked for three things. The first was enough money to leave england and find a home in america to start raising the girl, the second was a birthday gift for the little girl from her mother, which turned to be an expensive locket to which her dad put a picture of her mom inside, and the last was the ability to keep in contact if necessary. The family agreed, with one catch they got to name the baby and they chose the name madison after her mother's grandmother.
With that the single parent left the country and returned to his own home, he would not fall in love and would raise Maddie to be a happy healthy girl. He wouldn't hide anything from the little girl even her mother's family. The two lived in a small appartment on a very humbled salary, they never had a lot but always had a smile. Due to being surrounded by pictures all her life she took up drawing as well getting better and better. Maddie seemed to grow up with the personality mirroring her father's happy go lucky personality and the determination of her mother. She always had a smile even when things where at their worst, she never really cried when she was hurt just get up and try harder. Her father took great joy in watching her taking pictures as she grew and sending them to the royal family. At first her mothers family only winced and threw the pictures away but as the years went they saw more of her mother in her smile, less of an abomination and more of lion cub to which was born of their blood. There was of course still no reply to the pictures others then a general nod.
However this would change when she entered her pre-teen years, the family would reply stating to make sure she was well rounded in her academic suits. He was surprised at the request and acknowledged it, she took up running and basketball not as a star but to well round her resume for later. Her father would take pictures and send them to her mother's family their ice hearts melting at the sight. They might have choosen to keep her away from the noble family due to what they though was a disgrace, however they were realizing it was a mistake but it was too late to fix it immediately. They could only watch from afar. However soon something would change her life she'd have her first taste of storm riding.
It was midday when it happened she was in the park with a small lake, drawing what she saw getting really good at her sketching and drawing. Something whizzed by her almost taking the sketch pad right out of her hands. A storm rider on their air treks as if they were flying, Maddie didn't really pay much attention to Air Treks and today was no different. That was until a storm rider stopped and looked at what she was drawing, complimenting her on her artwork. The two talked a bit as the woman smiled and asked, "why don't you draw my world?" Of course Maddie didn't know what she was talking about as the storm rider smiled and took off her air treks and said, "see for yourself." The rider helped Maddie into the Air treks and gave her a small tutorial before slapping her rear and telling her to go. Maddie started the air treks and for a moment a new world seemed to open to her, however that new world seemed to come with the price of a few seconds before a belly flop on the ground directly on her ample chest. Despite this she got up and tried to ride again the speed and the feel seemed to open her up a bit, she had to draw it but couldn't. The looks and feel of it she couldn't capture with just borrowed air treks. With a sigh she waved goodbye to the storm rider and thought of what could have been.
Form then on Maddie seemed drawn to that lake constantly attempting to draw what she saw only to fail over and over again. She'd draw storm riders with their permission and give them what she drew if they wanted it. Her father began to take notice when Maddie started to watch professional AT riders, and get distracted when passing an AT store. The final straw came when he found her reading a "Storm Riding for Newbies," book. It was near a birthday and he decided to help her attain what she wanted the only way he knew how. He swallowed his pride and contacted her mothers parents asking for their help to bring a smile on Maddie's face, praying that their icy hearts had melted a bit. However they sent no reply back much to his dismay. He seemed to lose a little hope as Maddie distracted herself with drawing and watching storm riders, but that would change soon.
It was her birthday when it happened, a man in a suit with coat tails came to the door knocking professionally. When maddie opened the door the man spoke to her father and her father seemed to recognize him as a butler from the noble house in england. The butler smile at Maddie and pulled out her birthday gift as well as a note from her grandparents apologizing for their treatment, but they could not formally add her to the family. However she'd always be their granddaughter which brought Maddie to tears as she opened the present, inside were her own pair of air treks, custom made for her with the crest pin of a lion on them. She gave the butler a huge smile as she was still in tears and told him to tell her grandparents she was thankful and that she loved them. Her father took a quick picture of her expression of joy to also send with the butler who smiled and agreed.
Having her ATs was great but learning how to use them was a different story, at the small park lake she practiced as she read her books and drew her sketches. She'd circle the lake trying to get the balance right and tended to fall over and over again but she soon got the hang of it. As she practiced more storm riders came to watch at first to watch her fall but she soon gathered a sort of grace like a lioness on the run, her huge smile as she practiced began to give her the Alias the smiling lioness. She practiced and practiced the basics and even her father came to watch her. She entered the world of stormriding truely now, her artwork showing a more dynamic approach as she drew what she had seen. She grew a bit bolder to use her AT's to draw from higher places or new things. However she'd always return to her run by the lake as she rode laps around it. Smiling when she looked at her AT's wheels after a strong run covered in water. Though whether this was due to the lake or the lather road was unknown to her, however it made her smile like the dew off a leaf.
Finally old and responsible enough her father wanted her to continue her dream and allowed her to move out to follow it. He'd ask that she constantly send pictures and drawings to share with him and her grandparents. The smile she had while using her ATs finally melted all the ice away from her grandparents hearts, and while she couldn't be appart of their family she was family in their hearts. Although her cousins were bitter. Maddie moved away from the next to attempt to spread her wings in the world of storm riding, and then she'd continue her other dreams as an artist and a person along with way. However she's still just a beginner at this whole thing.
Around the time of the tournament made had to leave ruka, her father was really sick and she had to go back home. Ruka and Maddie broke up because Maddie wanted Ruka to stay there and do what she loved. Maddie took jobs and various other thing in her hometown to help with money as her dad was in the hospital. Her jobs lead her to an old music store where she'd work and spend her time at home, forgetting about her ATs at the time to help her father and doing her best. However she'd watch the rider net to watch the tournament and Ruka. As she watched Maddie seemed to change, she watched the rides and other fights. She saw Ruka roughed up but following what she wanted to do, and realized something. Between the music store and the air riding she realized there was still a portion of her that was hiding and not following her own ideals. This Realization actually for once made Maddie lose her smile.
She resolved herself to live like she truly wanted even if it was just in her hometown. As the days past she slowly changed herself dyeing her hair back to it's natural blond color, the same color as her mothers. She expanded her horizon learning a tad bit of self defense all while working. Before she realized it she was truely being herself, not so much of a wall flower anymore though certain things can make her go back and began to study more and more again all while working. She'd show Ruka that she had come out of her shell someday even if it would be in the far future and she'd show her with a huge smile.
When her dad finally came home from the hospital and saw his girl working to help pay for his medicine, he took one look at her being herself and walked over to her bag. With warning he packed it and when Maddie came home he'd throw it at her saying. "Go back and try again. No need to worry about me." Maddie was about to contest when a older woman walked in the home smiling. Apparently her dad got a date from the nurse that was taking care of him. Of course seeing that Maddie didn't leave right away to get all the information of who that girl was and everythign from her dad and spend some time with her family but when that was done she boarded the train once more to the airport even with the world against her she'd still wear her smile and keep "flying". Her outlook and personality new, even if they weren't together, Maddie wanted to be of use to Ruka and would truely start her Storm riding there and then.

By creating a tremor in the ground, the Gem rider can connect with other A.T's using the properties of piezoelectricity. This connection allows the Gem rider to resonate with the other A.T's in the area and match them, shutting them down or simply paralyzing the A.T's. This paralyzing affect locks both/all riders in place once they hit the ground/have been on the ground for one post. This is an E rank trick.
-----→{Shard Bullets l C-Rank} -------► By combining the users control of wing and gaia road abilities, the Jade road rider gains the ability to bring the earth to the sky. By creating a tremor, the gem road rider causes the ground under them to crack and break. Through the use of their wind manipulation, the rider forces pieces of the ground up, ten small shards of earth to be exact. The rider must then follow up with a kick, sending the shards forward. This move has an offensive and defensive property to it, as the user may kick up the shards around them to take oncoming damage. These shards do have a weakness. They cannot hit anything slippery, sliding right off, leaving Smell road riders invulnerable to this move, as well as the shards being forced off slippery surfaces. (Oil spills. Ice. etc.) This is a C Class trick.
