Somewhere within the forest, where violet iris grow, walked the prince of Bellris with a heavy expression on his face. He looked wornout and tired, eyes puffy and red. Yet, in his hands were many types of flowers he had gathered from the woods and now that he near a lake he thinks it a good time for a bath. He had flown out so early so that none would follow after for he wanted to hear the sounds of nature again just as he had with his younger of his two elder sisters; Shirt and shoes off as he is now begins to unbuckle his pants for that refreshing bath.
Loosening the grip she had on her floor length cloak, Eris continued making her way to Bellris. She had taken the scenic route by walking through the remains of what was the Kingdom of Ethe. There were rumours flying amongst the palace servants, most claiming her brother Rowan to be dead. Another victim of the volcano's fury. So she couldn't help but have a look on her way. But it was to no avail. Her brother was... Gone. Shaking her head in an effort to clear her thoughts, the Spartan princess continued. Her journey was surprisingly uneventful. Surprising, because there were rumoured to be many a beast residing in this mysterious forest. And the only beast that she had stumbled across so far was the man in front of her. Eris quickly ducked down and hid behind a large bush, not wanting to be at a disadvantage by having her presence known. She regarded the man with caution. He had short, dark hair and eyes that were as mesmerising as blood. As her gaze lowered, she noticed the lack of attire. Her eyes widened a little and she jerked her attention to their surroundings. The man seemed to be alone. A smile curved her lips as she watched him. Being as quiet as possible, Eris removed her gloves and shoes. Her hands paused at the clutch keeping her cloak together. She was debating whether to remove the cloak or not. Remembering the style of the slip she was wearing underneath her dress, her hands shook slightly as she unhooked her cloak and folded it neatly before sliding out of her dress. Without uttering a word, she quietly walked into the clearing and kept walking until she was shoulder-deep in the cool water.

The waters were chill but so inviting with how the heat of the past few days have been. His bare body enjoy the crisp feel while his skin and scars which race over his strong physic bask in the rays of the sun. But it would seem he was not the only one to do so. From washing his hair with cupped hands filled with water the nude male happens to see a female figure approach him from the sides. She was like a ghost from how quiet she was but her facial features were quite peculiar. "Has the god, Siyah Ateş O, sent me a blessing of a forest nymph?" He speaks, half jesting for he almost doesn't believe that this woman was real; And this his grief stricken mind might be playing tricks on him. "Or is this a part of a goddess's game, and Akuno Toge is dooming me?" He had nothing to hide nor was he to turn his back on the woman. With everything still unclear he could only think of standing his ground firmly and waiting to see what was this woman up to; And to see if this is all a strange dream.
At the sound of the man's voice, Eris tilted her head. He wasn't unattractive. That much was clear. "Siyah Ates O... No. A forest nymph, I am not. Nor was I taught in the way of the Phoenix." She started moving closer to the male, her movements slow and gentle. The water was refreshing and had a calming affect on her as it started to show more and more skin with each step that she took. Stopping a little less than thirty centimetres away, her voice softened. "That particular goddess has something in common with many a young woman. What benefit would she have for dooming you specifically? I am real. As are you." Her eyes drew together slightly when she saw the scar on the man's face. Upon closer inspection, he had many scars on his body. Reaching out her hand, Eris moved a little closer. Without actually touching him, her hands moved across a few scars. "They look painful" she whispered, almost to herself. Biting her lip, she looked into his eyes. They really were mesmerising. Her eyes never left his as she used her other hand to slid her slip off and throw it in the general direction of his clothes.

With every step she'd take it was like there was power behind every stride. Like the very waters she walks upon, the power was both subtle but true; Much like the color of her bare flesh showed through her slip. So near now and with her voice softened as she spoke of the goddess that he almost didn't believe she was real like him. Had it not been for the heat from her hand that glide just inches off of his body he wouldn't have believed her.
Her words sounded as though she worried for him and about his scars. Truth be told he is so use to them that he sometimes forgets about them, but not now when a female is tracing them, wondering who was the man behind the survival. "They did hurt, but I like to think resolve is measured by results. I wanted to become a great knight and every scar is a medal of achievement." Everyday that he worked out to gain muscle, everyday that he trained with a blade and every time he'd win against the odds of life and death was written upon his noble flesh; Including his campaign to secretly assistant in the recent revolution.
Her eyes did not brake away as she undress and while something told him things here were amiss he could not take his eyes off of hers. Perhaps this was best so he dose not offensively leer at her body, but she was making it difficult to do so. "If you wish to share this lake that is fine." His honest crimson gaze staring right back at the woman. "We are in nature and bathing like this is natural...but if you are going to must you be so close?" His eyes naturally fluttering as he speaks yet his gaze did not look away from her own dark irises. What would she say? What would she do? Did she expect such a response, his crimson eyes gauge carefully as he waits to know.
Withdrawing her hand, she thought about what the man had said. "So your strength is measured by the scars on your body?" Eris looked at her own arms and wondered whether that theory was true. From what she had seen in her kingdom, their soldiers showed strength by defeating any and every opponent. The more battles won with minimal damage, the stronger you were in the eyes of everyone else. It took a few moments for her to move on from this thought and bring her full attention back to the nude male standing wet before her. His eyes were watching her. Purposefully taking another step closer, she grinned. "Afraid of a little closeness, are we? Do not fear. Even if I was a forest nymph, I would not bite... Unless you wanted me to." Gently splashing water on the male, Eris laughed and backed away. "If you wish me to give you space, I won't deny you it." Her lips remained in a smile as she turned around. The man was kind enough to allow her to look at his scars, she should give him the same courtesy. Busying herself with tracing little pictures into the water's surface, she waited for words of disgust to reach her.

She looked to be pondering about his words as she looked to her own scars. She did have a few medals of her own but what were the achievements behind them, he questioned. Victory? Survival? Both? He gave her the moment to be with her own thoughts but then she gave him a moment that made his heart run on fast. Afraid? No way. How could he be? In fact, this would be a lot easier if she was a hostile...but she had been nothing but carefree.
A splash of play and she backs away. It was an unexpected act. Yet the sight of her back was even more unexpected and an audible gasp his lips. "Dear, what happened to you?" He takes a step to her, recovering the closeness that was lost, and there he raises a hand near her back to glide over curiously just as she had done to him; The young man's tender gaze reflected in the pure waters in which they share.
Eris looked to the heavens -as if pleading with the Gods themselves that she could trust this man. It wasn't until he gasped that she remembered how hideous the scars were. Not even her mother had seen them. These markings of pain were not achievements. Never will they ever be. They served as a reminder of her past. When she was being punished for her crime, she was also punishing herself. Digging her nails into the palm of her hand, she did her best to calm herself. Memories were welcomed by some, but not by her. Feeling the waters shift around her, Eris realised that the man had closed the distance between them. The heat radiating off his body reminded her of the Summer heat. But his warmth was different. It didn't burn her. "Many things. As I said before, Akuno Toge has something in common with many young women. This." She paused for a moment, trying to choose her next words carefully. "This marred body of mine is an achievement of sorts -to use your own phrasing. An achievement of someone's survival. Just not my own." Her head fell a little as she stared at her reflection. She tensed and shied away when she felt the man's hand near her back. For some unknown reason, she had divulged her secret to this stranger. Yet, she did not feel bitter or regret. She felt relieved. Turning her body around so she was now facing the man, Eris inched a little closer, so their bodies were almost touching. Her eyes wandered from the water's surface, across his torso, and pausing on the scar on his cheek before meeting his eyes. " So far, I have one rule: You may look anywhere you wish, but you may not touch me. Unless, of course, I touch you first." Glancing down at the faint tattoo on her arm, an idea popped into her mind. "Or if we play a game that's fair for us both."

Akuno Toge was a cruel goddess indeed. The fact this woman's body was the way it was told him that the goddess may have had something to do with this. It was events like this that had the man questioning the gods right now...the passing of his sister making things no better.
He dare not ask anymore about the scar for she turned away having noticed him nearing the sight, but her turn and wandering gaze over him was something...strange. Not strange as in unwelcomed but as though it was stirring something within him.
She had but one rule and it was a simple one; look anywhere but don't touch until touched first. It was a rule he could easily respect, yet the aspect of a game did bring out a small childish smile from the young man. "I love games actually. What do you want to play with me?" He gazes with a ruby shine that catch the sun while await on the lovely lady's words
Eris laughed childishly. It wasn't often she got to play games. Not since... Biting her lip, she looked around. There were enough trees to play a hiding game. But that wouldn't allow her to learn about the male standing in front of her. She looked back at the male with a mischievous gleam in her eyes. "I have one that is equally fair. However, it is usually not fun. Maybe you can help with that?" Her voice held a playful tone as she continued to speak. "What will happen is one of us will ask the other a question. It may be any question. The person answering must answer honestly. If said person chooses to not answer the question, the person asking must think of... A punishment of sorts." With a grin, she leaned in so her face was close to touching his. "How does that sound?" She whispered, almost breathlessly. Only then did Eris realise that her skin was burning a little. Pulling away, she took a quick breath and submerged herself within the lake's calm waters. She swam to an area that was overshadowed by a large tree. The young princess had forgotten about her skin's sensitivity to the sun. If she wasn't careful, she could be badly burnt. "Come play in the shade. The sun hurts." She called over her shoulder, catching her breath.

Her laughter enticed the young man as he knew the game was now underway. It was nice to have a stranger be so friendly that it warmed the prince's chilled heart. As she explained her game he quickly understood the rules and premise behind it, but her eyes...her voice...her sight...He was slowly becoming accustomed to having her this way.
A slight sounds of pain escape the woman who them backs away and dives into the cooling lake waters. He was slightly confused by the act but didn't question it as she heads into the shadow of a tree that looms over a portion of the lake. She says that the sun burns, coming as a surprise to the prince, so when she calls him over to her side he cordially replies by walking to her; water hugging his strong but fair skinned body like a selfish lover not wanting to share their prized possession.
"How about you start off our game. After all it is ladies first."
While her skin was cooling down in the shade, Eris's eyes had changed to a storm-cloud grey with a darkness that rivalled even the worst winter storm. Despite her ability to endure great pains, the sun was always a force she couldn't win against. Crouching down, she allowed the water to reach up to her chin as she watched the man make his way toward her. His movements seemed soft, yet powerful. The lake did not seem to want to share this man with anyone -let alone Eris. Her eyes took note of every move he made and only looked away when he requested that she start the game. Leaning her head back, so her hair was completely saturated, she tried to think of a good question. She closed her eyes briefly. There were so many things to ask. But she didn't want to scare him off. Deciding to start with a question that had no wrong answers, she stood up and peeked through her now-wet hair. "Do you believe all is fair in love and war?" Eris asked, trying to ignore the water droplets making their way into her eyes and mouth.

Were his eyes playing tricks on him or have her eyes changed during the course of their conversation? No, of course they have changed. He clearly remembers staring into eyes that were a different shade of hue. Were they perhaps a color of blue now darkened in tone? Whatever the case one thing could surly be felt and that was he gaze upon his body as he walked closer to her; beads of water slowly lingering down his chiseled physique off his lower bare abdomen. While it did begin to make him feel embarrassed it wasn't too bad of a feeling. There was something to be said about being stared at, but now that he were close enough to her he'd sit to reach the waters level just as she has before he answered the first question of the game; His gaze wondering upon every so often.
"That is a good question, and something I'm not sure how to answer properly." His eyes look away from her captive looks only to watch the forest as if searching for the answer among nature's whispers. Once he found his own feelings about the matter his bright ruby eyes showed a kindness to that that was strong. "I would have to say, no, I don't believe all is fair in love and war. There is a price to be paid for underhanded victory and sometimes it'll cost us what we just won...But maybe that's not all that bad, so long as you could enjoy your prize for a time rather than never have it at all, right?" A question for the lady but more of something as food for thought that for it to be meant as his real question.
"Now for my question. Do you believe in chance meetings or fated encounters?"
Eris watched the man as he thought of an answer to her question. She was finding it hard to look away from him. His features were strong, but held a gentleness to them that told her he would make an excellent lover. When he spoke again, his eyes seemed brighter. A feeling she couldn't identify came over her, changing her eye colour to a light storm-cloud grey. It was a little unsettling, feeling so many things in such a short amount of time. The man's answer intrigued her. Was he speaking from experience? If so, was it just for war or did he suffer from heartbreak as well? "Sometimes... If every encounter was fated, then I must have words with Fate. She must know that most people would have lived better lives had they not met a particular person. However, that being said, I am glad to have met you. If our meeting was destined, then there is something to be thankful for." She paused for a moment before quietly adding "I have a feeling our journey is far from over." The rivulets of water coursing down from her hair to the water's surface caused Eris to shiver a little as a cool breeze made its way to her. Only then did she realise that the sky had darkened. "Would it trouble you if we put on some form of attire? It is dark and I had planned to be in Bellris by now." She laughed quietly for a moment. Yes. Fate had indeed intervened. She didn't know exactly what she would have done had she gone to see her brother. Her family was quite dysfunctional, so it came as no surprise that everyone would rather spend their days alone than together. Biting her lip, she turned from the man and headed over to her previously discarded slip. It was still wet from when she had tossed it, but she knew the cool fabric would keep her skin from overheating -especially if the man decided to accompany her. Sliding the thin material up her slender body until it rested in its rightful place, she motioned for him to join her by the water's edge.
