Nova had been overwhelmed with the tasks that continued to arise, keeping her eyes on current events, trying to keep the animosity towards the Metas at the minimum, only praying they wouldn't have a repeat of the same events twenty years ago. Everything was slowly coming full circle into the same events once more as the humans were only growing far more angry with the antics of more public entities, while had good intentions, did not have the guidance to show that they were a peaceful race. She had been carefully considering through many candidates to find someone with strength, valor, and wisdom to bring some for leadership and unity to others. However, she still felt they were not exactly quiet there yet. With that being said, she had finally chosen three to take on the task of becoming elder, those which she had chosen from vastly different aspects of life.
It was just on the cusp of dusk, the sun ready to set into the distance as a small purplish blue sprite flittered to catch up to Syth who was walking down the gravel path. It chimed lightly, then tapped her on the shoulder with the letter in its hands, practically bigger than it was as it dropped it into Syth's hands and then flew off quickly into the distance and disappeared. The envelope itself looked fairly old like it had been kept hidden for many years despite it's ornate design on it. The seal on the back bore the mark of Gaia in a lavender color and appeared to have traces of shimmer to the wax itself, the seal looking very fresh. The only thing written on the front in very beautiful cursive was: Syth.
Dearest Syth,
As you may have been aware, Tretera has fallen into dark times for our race, and as much as we had tried to be what we were created for, I don't think anyone expected us to be more than the tools we were made as to further the goals of others. Now with things considered that we are just as the other races are, we just want to be ourselves even if our goals still align towards peace and unity, the animosity and tensions that has grown over the time since the Academy was shut down, only causes for urgent concern for a those who can provide guidance through true strength.
I have watched you since you were born, while you have spent most of your growth in isolation, I feel you have potential for great things and as I myself grow older and the responsibilities that I tend to only increase, I feel it is time I appointed another elder of the angel meta race, to join the ranks of those with the power to change this world, hopefully for the better.
However, you may seek many things to find your own harmony. While we may be both aware you still have very difficult trials to face in finding what it is you seek from yourself to become transcendent into a state of mind that would allow you to share your power and guidance with those that direly need it as well as show humans and true races that we are not the weapons we think we are, you are the only one who can decide what that it is that you lack to achieve this.
Whether it be inner determination, you may find information on The Village of Vanbourne, in the west of Tretera, they have been known to harbor some key to finding the courage to continue and stand strong in the face of danger and conflict.
It could be possible that you seek to speak to the divine being known as Anarwen. She has been known to grant knew life to those that prove their worthiness. That new life in the form of a wish granted if you dare to demonstrate why you deserve your desire to be fulfilled.
Or you could wish to seek out Gaia herself for a divine gift, they call them Symbols of Radiance. These artifacts that enlighten your spirit and mind as well as true strength.
What it is you choose for yourself will take you on your journey towards becoming a true elder. This will be no easy task and unfortunately this will be a quest for you and you only. The likeliness that you will be able to stay in contact with those you are close to is very small, as you may also be gone for months depending on the path your carve. The path is dangerous and gruely but I have the utmost faith in you that you can complete this.
I wish you the best of luck,
Sincerely, Nova Metamorphose
fiye When you are ready, please respond with Syth's reaction to the above, and her first step towards finding the path she chooses. You may quote "Broken_Illumination" from this point forward.

Syth could only jump at the chime the sprite gave, ready to pounce on it while she had the upper hand so she could jump to safety yet again. Though, before she could do anything an envelope was passed onto her. The sprite was gone faster than it had appeared, her hands gripping at the envelope as she opened it with curiosity.
Whoever had written this up had her in the recipient. Her eyes scanning through the pages as she read through it.
Blah, blah, blah isolation, blah, blah, blah, appoint another elder, blah, blah, blah harmony. Decide what that it is you lack.
Well, she lacked a lot of things for sure. A voice was the big one, so receiving a divine gift seemed like something she should charge after. Though finding her inner determination and getting a spine would also be a step in the right direction. And of course talking to Anarwen would also likely help out.
Of course the immediate thought was 'Why not all three', but then again all three would be leading to the same thing so why bother. A small sigh would escape her mind as she read through it. The envelope held no further information than asking about The Village of Vanbourne. Honestly that part of the letter was as vague as the rest!
"This seems very useless" She thought to herself, pondering what action to take. Speaking to a divine being was something she honest looked forward to the most, especially since she'd have the chance to ask some questions. Okay, so she had a choice picked, now to act on it. Anarwen... Anarwen... maybe Alice would have an idea since she spent the most time with Kae. It'd take ages to get there but perhaps she could try contacting her telepathically.
She'd hole herself up in a safe corner, figuring she'd be trying to contact someone who could be god knows where right now. Crossing her legs, sitting down, and closing her eyes. She'd focus on trying to make contact, even if it mean extending past her limits. Any information she gained would be worth it after all.
/'Alice? Alice! I need information on a divine being known as Anarwen/' She'd repeat that message until she heard back from Alice. Please let her be heard. Please.

Syth would repeat the message for a while before the quiet and barely audible response would be received back. It was certainly an unstable connection, but at least it was there.
"Syth?" the voice called back, worry and concern laced in her voice. "Are you okay?" she asked, before realizing there was a request at the end of Syth's sentence. "Who? Ahh.." she struggled to understand the words. The name she couldn't tell, but she knew she said divine being so she called for Zira and took over Melody's body to deal with this right away. "Bring me my mother's journals. Now." she demanded before Zira returned with several journal and she frantically flipped through them as she tried to understand what the name she was saying, the interference of the stable connection making it a little harder to hear it all.fiye Please roll a D20 in your response.

"Yes I'm okay" She responded back, figuring it would be good to give Alice a little bit about herself rather than just 'Hey, tell me about this thing I hope you know about and please don't get mad at me for being quiet for the last few days'.
Of course it didn't help the connection started out weak, fading in and out as she tried to maintain it. A little more power, a little more stability, she could figure out something. A little luck to head her way would be nice right about now.

There was an immediate sense of relief that washed over her as Syth relayed she was okay. She had been worried since the moment she had left to go retrieve Hexxis and went missing soon after. Trying to think of what she had said earlier. A divine being. Anar? The sun?
Alice flipped through pages of the journals all at once. Using shadows to turn the pages and a keen eye to look for keywords to the information Syth needed.
Ahh, there it is. In.. Mother's personal journal? Odd. Pulling the journal to her, she read the details on the almost barren page. /Anarwen, Maiden of the Sun in eleven language. She is rumored to have been seen in a coastal city called Deathfall, south of the Forest of Sulia. A maiden dresses in all white. She grants a wish to those who prove their worthiness. My mother appeared to have been looking for her but couldn't find her. In her journal here, its marked as 'not worth it'. So I guess she gave up./ Alice sat back in a chair and crossed her arms thoughtfully. /Are you trying to find her? What are you going to ask for if you do?/ she asked. Alice was starting to get a feeling about this. /Is there anything else you need?/ she asked sympathetically, hoping to help her any way she could.

"No, that sounds like everything I need." Syth replied back, a sense of relief about having some information now. Someplace to go to.
Anarwen, Maiden of the Sun. In a coastal city called Deathfall, a lovely name, south of the forest. She would be dressed in all white and would test one's worthiness.
Notably marked 'Not worth it'. Amusing that she was stuck trying to find her.
A long drawn sigh, a long trip east was in front of her at least. She couldn't jump that far and she wasn't in the mood of risking her health for it, she'd done it several times already. Alone, no money, and no desire to contact anyone.
"Actually, I need a miracle"

Alice snorted lightly, /Syth, I'm not a miracle worker... but I suppose that's why you're looking for Anarwen. I wish you luck./ There was a pause before she sighed and smiled, /I love you, Syth. Please return safely./ she spoke softly before the connect seemed to slip and fade away.
Good thing there was a road that led eastward to the place she'd be looking for. It would take a whole day, and would likely be far into nightfall before she reached her destination, but at least she could get there.

"I will, " She responded back, not sure if her message would've been heard. At least she was able to talk to Alice and by extension figure out where she needed to go.
Although making an impossibly long call with a spirit had its consequences. A ringing headache developing, a sign that she overextended her abilities. A silent sigh escaped her as she began to walk.
And walk
And walk. It would be an entire day until she would make it to her destination, and even then it took until night to get there. And the only thing she knew was she was looking for a maiden dressed in white. Still as vague as ever. She had no idea how long she'd have until her patience would give in. But for now, she'd head to anything that would look religious in a sense.

What felt like forever, the journey was quite uneventful. Eventually the road became so barren there had been no one for miles before she finally arrived at the beach. It was a calm place, the roar of crashing waves against the shore, there were fireflies that glittered the air with a sense of serenity, there was a small abandoned shack on the beach, but it looked like just a place to take cover if it rained as it had literally nothing within it, and didn't even have a door. There was a forest to the side that seemed to congregate more fireflies and on the other side seemed to be a hill that led up to a lighthouse that wasn't even on. There wasn't any sign of life anywhere and looked like no one had been here in a very very long time.

In all honesty, the place she arrived at would be perfect to start life as a hermit. The entire place was barren except for the presence of bugs, a forest that was biting her curiosity, but after walking for so long shed need to rest. Heading into the doorless shack and taking a seat down on the floor. She would be quick to close her eyes, focusing on taking a quick rest all the while trying to see if she could sense anyone else fastened to be nearby. Ask she needed was a thread to follow, for better or worse.

The night was peaceful as the ocean created white noise to lull any wary traveler to sleep easily. The cool sea breeze was enough to make a comfortable atmosphere, it was a wonder no one had ever even come here.
Sometime during the night, a figure crept into the shack to carefully observe the Meta. A white hooded robe donned over their body as they crouched down and unhooked the moon choker from Syth's neck and stood back up, staring down for a few more seconds then backed up out of the shack, preparing to leave quickly with the item that they took.fiye Please roll a D20 in your response.

Her meditation was more akin to a college student daydreaming during an exam they doesn't to much time the night before studying for. A few nods before she passed out entirely. Not to mention heavily enough for someone to take her necklace as she slept. It also didn't help that there was no door to prevent an intruder from coming in, or make noise.
But she would begin to stir...

The hooded figure backed up and tripped over old wood, falling to the floor as it not only knocked off their hood but the faceless mask they wore. A girl with short pink hair and blue eyes stared as Syth stirred. Grabbing the mask, she put it back on quickly, jumped to her feet and took off running for the forest. " ...ohhh,... she's going to kill me... I'm certain of it... I'll be dead by morning for sure!!" she muttered frantically to herself as she ran deeper into the forest in a panic.

A sound of stumbling footsteps and the clattering of an object would for sure wake up her. Her eyes darting open as she glanced at the person before her, jotting quick notes of her appearing. Pink hair, blue eyes, white clothes...
Was this the maiden? A burst of figurative energy would jump out as she bounced up from the floor, excited to have come across the maiden. Yet there was a key thing she was missing, though it was her words that clued her in on it.
"You'll be dead very soon, maiden," She cried out rather angrily. The shake giving off a rattle as she let her telepathic voice be known. Internally, she was calm even if her prized and very valuable necklace was in the hands of some stranger but this person had nearly failed in her attempt at theivery that she was certain the girl couldn't run away.
Not to mention the bluff about her being a maiden. The connections were all there and it'd help if she could shock some truth out of her. Yet for now a chase was on, blade summoned forth to help clear out her path as she raced to catch up.
