Esme was practically jumping from sheer excitement. She had woken up super early, around 4 am and had been running around her house making sure she had gotten everything she needed for her trip to Hogwarts. Since she had packed everything a week before there really hadn't been much to do but make some breakfast.
Since her fathers were still sleeping and her little brother was still in bed, she decided to make waffles, some raspberry syrup and fresh whipped cream to go on top. She sprinkled a huge handful of chocolate chips into the waffle dough and then stashed it on the cupboard covering it to keep insects out of it. She'd wait until later to start on them. It was still super early after all.
"Ooh bacon! We can't have waffles without bacon on the side," She whispered to herself and then went to check out the icebox.
She found the bacon she needed and grinned. Then she put it back in the icebox and tapped her fingers on the side of the icebox. She really should find something to do while she waited on making breakfast.
"Morning Esme," her little brother Paulo yawned as he came into the kitchen.
"Good morning Paulo." Esme replied with a smile, "Are you hungry? I can start making some chocolate chip waffles if you are."
Paulo's face lit up at the news about waffles.
"Yes please! Is there anything I can help with?"
"Sure, grab the bacon out of the icebox, I might as well start cooking that as well." She told him as she turned on the waffle griddle and waited for it to heat up.
Paulo did as she asked and laid the bacon on the counter next to her. Then he pulled a skillet out of the cupboard. "I should probably let you turn on the stove top," He said eyeing the stove warily.
"Keep an eye on the waffle griddle for me, in a second you can drip a bit of water on it to test it for me. If it sizzles then it's ready for the batter." She told him moving to the stovetop and turning on the gas burner.
It came on flickering rather high, so she turned it down to where it was a low flame. Then she placed a skillet on top and let it warm up a bit before transferring a piece of bacon onto it. The bacon began to sizzle so she added several more pieces and then turned to see how Paulo was doing with the griddle. "I think it's ready sis," Paulo said looking up at her.
"Excellent, go grab a half cup measuring cup. I'll let you man the waffle station."
"Cool!" Paulo replied happily as he dashed off to a low cupboard and pulled out a box of measuring cups. He looked over a few before he found the half cup and pulled it out.
Within the next ten minutes they had two waffles done, a third in the griddle and a plate with six stripes of bacon done. That was when their fathers Pere and Raphael came into the kitchen with mussed hair and sleepy looks on their faces.
"Excited about school Esme?" asked Raphael with a grin on his face.
"Oh yes! I decided to get up early and to make breakfast. Paulo is helping as well." She replied beaming at him.
"Well I think we should have some fruit smoothies to go with those wonderful waffles and bacon." Pere said as he rummaged through the icebox.
He pulled out some frozen bananas, strawberries, yogurt, milk, and blueberries. "This should do." Then he pulled out the blender and threw everything into it. He ran the blender until it became a purple looking color and was well mixed.
Raphael pulled out four cups and laid them on the counter for him. "So Esme, what House do you want to get sorted into?" He asked.
"Oh I think Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff would be awesome. I'm thinking I'll more than likley end up in Hufflepuff to be honest." She replied with a grin.
"Cause you're loyal and a great friend," Paulo added with a small smile.
"Yes, so your sister is." Pere agreed. "Is that last waffle done yet?"
Paulo stuck a fork into the waffle and lifted it up to see the bottom side. "Yep, that means we can eat!" He pulled out the waffle and laid it on the plate with the others. Then he unplugged the griddle and carried the platter over to the counter.
"Plates, we need plates." Raphael said then pulled his wand out saying, "Accio Plates!" The tall cupboard doors flew open and four plates came flying out and settled gently on the counter. He swished his wand again, "Accio forks!"
A drawer flew open and forks flew out and narrowly missed Esme's head as they flew over her to come to the counter.
"Sorry Esme, I should have been more careful." Raphael said with a grimace on his face.
"No worries, at least I didn't end up with a pierced forehead!" She said with a laugh.
After breakfast was concluded, the four of them cleaned up the kitchen together, using hand power and wand power to wash, dry and put the dishes back where they belonged.
"All right, we'll meet at the front door in fifteen minutes, then we'll leave for the Train Station." Pere announced. "Come Raph, let's go make ourselves presentable."
"Okay, just don't dawdle! I'm on pins and needles as it is already!" Esme replied wiggling with impatience.
That made everyone laugh as they left her alone in the kitchen. Esme sighed and sat down on a chair slumping in it. "I've been waiting my whole life for this day, I wish things would go faster!"
As if on cue, she felt her cat wind through her ankles and purr at her. She smiled and bent down to pick up the oddly colored cat. The gum and teal colored cat meowed loudly at her and batted at her nose.
Esme laughed and caught her paw. "Bubblegum you're silly. I guess I should go bring your carrier case downstairs. I know you don't like it, but I can't have you disappearing on me. You do want to come to school with me and see all kinds of cool things don't you?" She asked the small cat.
The feline blinked and sniffed at her. Then the cat cocked it's head to the side.
"Silly Esme, of course your cat can't talk to you. You just think she should be able to." Esme said to herself as she made her way up to her room on the second floor.
She grabbed the carrier case from behind her door and carried it over to her brother's room and kicked on his door with her foot since her hands were full. "Paulo, are you dressed?" She called through the door.
"Nearly done, " He shouted back and then the door opened a moment later. "Ah I forgot you were taking Bubblegum with you." He said reaching out scratch Bubblegum behind her left ear. "I'm going to miss you girl," He told the cat softly and rubbed his face against her fur.
Esme waited patiently for him to say the same thing to her, but was annoyed when he didn't say anything of the sort.
"Some brother you are," She muttered and turned to leave.
Paulo glanced up at her with a hurt look in his eyes. "Why would you say something like that?"
"You're going to miss my cat but not me? That's rather rude Paulo." She retorted feeling angry.
"Hey now, no fighting kids." Raphael interjected as he joined them in the hallway. "Why don't you apologize to each other and I'd like to see you two hug."
Esme bit on her lip and then put Bubblegum into her carrier and closed the door and then turned to her brother. "I'm sorry Paulo, I was just annoyed that you said you were going to miss my cat but wouldn't say you were going to miss me. It hurt my feelings."
Paulo's face grew red. "I meant it for the both of you. It's just hard to say that I'm going to miss you. This will be the first time we've ever been separated for a long period of time. It's not going to be the same without you around."
"Aww Paulo, I had no idea." Esme threw her arms around her little brother and hugged him close. I"m really going to miss you. I will try and write you as often as I can. That way we can keep up with each other. "
"I'd like that, " Paulo replied his voice muffled in her shirt. "I'll make sure to send you sweets and stuff too."
"That would be awesome Paulo. You are the best."
"How beautiful!" Pere exclaimed as he joined the rest. "Let's get some pictures so we can send them to the grandparents! I know my mother is dying for some new pictures."
"Not to mention mémère Noelle," Paulo replied with a giggle.
"All right then, let's get Esme at the front door going down the stairs."
Esme groaned but followed after the others. She should have realized that they would want to document every step to the Train Station. They had done it for every major happening in her life. At least it would be a day that she wouldn't forget anytime soon.
About two hours later, they had arrived at the Train station with her trunk and Bubbles in tow. She was rather glad that her fathers were strong enough to carry her trunk since all the handcarts had been taken by the time they had arrived. She had hoped that they would have gotten their earlier but her fathers had insisted on stopping and taking picture after picture.
She rather thought that it was their way of not wanting to let her go too soon. Perhaps it was hard for them to let her go off on her own. She hadn't thought of that.
"Well here we are," Raphael said coming to a stop between stations 9 and 10. He and Pere were standing in front of a pillar that had a crude number written on it. 9 and 3/4.
"Why don't you go first?" Pere said. "Just take a running start and close your eyes as you go through the pillar."
Esme backed up a few feet and did as he told her. She was amazed when she came out on the other side to find the Hogwarts Express train waiting. It was super shiny and so new looking. She knew better though, from what she had read, the train was at least a hundred years old.
"What do you think Esme? Does the train look amazing or what?" Raphael asked coming up behind her.
"It's gorgeous, I can't wait to get on it!" She squealed excitedly. She turned around and threw her arms around him and hugged Raphael tightly. I'm going to miss you Father, I'll write you often!"
She laid a kiss on his cheek and then turned to hug Pere and give him a kiss as well. "Good bye Father Pere! I'll miss you too!"
She went to hug Paulo goodbye but before she could bestow a kiss on his cheek he pushed her away. "Not here!" He exclaimed glancing around at the other people milling about.
"Fine, no kiss then. Bye little bro, I'll be writing you." She replied rubbing his head affectionately.
"We'll see to your trunk, you go find a seat on the train," Raphael told her his voice rather shaky sounding.
"Okay, Bye!" With that Esme sprinted towards the closest open door with Bubbles carrier case in her hand. She got into a line that had formed and waited impatiently until it was her turn to climb onto the train. She looked in every car to see who was seated inside. Finally she found one that had a lone girl sitting inside.
Like Esme, the other girl had odd colored hair, hers happened to be a violet color. Esme knocked on the door frame and slide the door open.
"Hello there, mind if I join you? All the other compartments are all filled up."

Victora was woken with a knock on the door. "Lady Victora, It is time for you to get up, You start school today." came the voice from the other side as it opened and Nanny Fe walked into the room. "Up, Up Up." the Nanny stated in a harsh tone.
Victora flinched a bit but sat up, "I am, I know School starts tomorrow. The train ride is today." she said. She had been unable to get much sleep because she was both scared and excited to go to Hogwarts after all she would meet a number of people she hadn't before.
"Oh Fe, you needn't be such an old prune. Victora's got plenty of time till she needs to be at King's Cross." said a voice as a tray was put on Victora's lap with quite the breakfast on it.
"Oh Aunt Noasu, You've come to see me before I leave the house?" Victora asked not even caring about the food in front of her.
"I'm taking you to KIng's Cross." Aunt Noasu answered.
Victora's face fell, "But Father was going to take me."
"He's a busy man you know that now, it's time to get up." Nanny Fe said "Time to get up and Get dressed."
Victora looked at her Nanny and then traced the scar on her face with her eyes, "U... Yes Ma'am." Victroa said pushing the try aside and getting out of her bed so she could get dressed. Fe was already setting out her blouse and skirt. Without saying anything Victora was starting to get dressed. She was a little disappointed in her father though. He had promised to take her to the Hogwarts Express and now was breaking his promise. Everything was already packed and ready to go before they opened the door. She put on her crescent moon charms bracelets and anklets.
Once she was dressed she ate some of the breakfast Aunt Noasu had brought her. "Alright, we can go now." Victora said, She grabbed her mother's music box and tucked it under her arm.
"Alright, then let's head to the car." Aunt Noasu said. And that's when Victora saw Victora, her fox, was also harnessed and muzzled for the trip. It was muggle thing why the fox was getting muzzled.
The ride to the station was idle chat about what Aunt Noasu did when she went to Hogwarts. And getting a trolley Aunt Noasu got Victora's trunk, and Victora got fox Victora's leashe and the music box. And they worked their way though the maze of terminals to get to platform 9 3/4. It was still a few hours early, beating the bulk of the students getting on, and Victora gave Aunt Noasu a hug. And Aunt Noasu gave her a gift and told her to wait till after the train had left to open it.
Once Aunt Noasu left she took to one of the riding compartments that was empty, which was most of them, and sat down on one of the seats Victora laying down under her. She set the gift down next to her and opened the music box winding it and letting the music play.
She looked up at the knock on door. She closed the box before the door was open. "Uh... n..no I don't mind." Victora said shyly. "You... have to sit somewhere." she said running her fingers over the warn engraving of her mother's name.

Esme flashed a pearly white smile at the other girl and put her cat's case down under the bench seat across from her. "Thanks! What sort of familiar do you have?" she asked peering down at the other case.
Her jaw dropped whens he caught sight of the fox's sleeping form.
"Oh wow, you have a fox! That's bloody brilliant!" She exclaimed softly. She didn't want to wake up the sleeping animal so figured a soft voice would be best.
"I have a cat that's an interesting mix of bubblegum pink and teal, her name is Bubblegum. What's your fox's name?" She inquired as she took the red bag off of her shoulder and laid it on the seat.
She then remembered her manners and stood up and held out her hand to the other girl. "Oh my apologies, I should have introduced myself. My name is Esme Grint-Ramirez." She said with a smile.

Victora watched as Esme who seemed to be full of energy. Though she let the girl say all she need to say. When Esme extended her hand Victora timidly took it. Knowing her father would disapprove if she didn't shake it. "I'm Victora Ancients, It's nice to meet you. My foxes name is Victora as well." she answered. "Bubblegum and Esme" she repeated for memory.
"Is.... is this your first year to Hogwarts too?" she asked moving her finger in small circles on the ornate box. "W... Which house do you want?" she asked trying to make conversations. She glanced from the Emse's red bag, to her blue hair, to her pink cat. She wasn't sure wat to talk about. Victora looked at the gift that Aunt Noasu had given her that sat on the seat next to her.
The train started to move out of the station. "Must be nine." she said and looked out the window and watched parents that were standing still seem to move to the side. She then looked at Esme, "Are your parents still out there?" she asked then looked back out the glass, "Aunt Noasu seems to still be out there.... she stood for a long time." she said somewhat amazed at the fact. Pointing at the woman who was holding a device of some sort. "We got here early I thought she went home by now." she said softly to herself. She was a bit upset that her father still hadn't showed up but he had some sort of important business to do.

Esme shook the girl's hand gently. For some reason the way the other had offered her hand seemed as though she were shy. Esme didn't want to scare her before she got to know her.
"Oh what a lovely name! Does calling her by the same name cause any sort of confusion to others? Or do you have a nickname for her? Like Vicki or Tori? " She inquired.
She blinked when the other girl repeated her cat's and her name to herself. Ah right, she was trying to memorize them so she wouldn't forget.
"Oh yes! I just learned about the school not that long ago. I grew up mostly in an orphanage. I was adopted two years ago by my fathers. I am thinking it would be great if I could be in either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. I hear hufflepuffs have more fun though, so I am thinking I'd like to be in that House." She confided, leaning in closer to Victora.
Esme startled when the train started to move and grabbed hold of Victora's leg to steady herself. "Sorry," She apologized and stood up to gaze out the window. She peered out for several moments before she spotted her brother and fathers waving at the departing train. "Yes! They are right there with my little brother Paulo!" She replied pointing them out.
Raphael was a tall dark skinned Spanard with dark brown eyes and white flashing teeth. He stood a good head taller than her father Pere.
Pere was a light skinned honey brown haired man with green blue eyes. He had his arm around Paulo as he waved with the other one.
Paulo's caramel toned skin stood out in contrast to the others. His black eyes looked sad and excited at the same time. Esme would have to write him a letter detailing the trip to Hogwarts so he wouldn't feel too left out.
She glanced back to Victora and smiled. "She must really care for you. You're lucky to have someone like that. I'm lucky my fathers chose me. For a long time I thought no one would want me. I'm very grateful they picked me."
Esme pushed the window open so she could stick her hand out and wave. "Goodbye Father Pere, Father Raphael, Paulo! I'll write you soon!"
She continued to wave ferociously until the train station was out of sight. Then she sighed and closed the window and sat back on the empty bench.
"Do you mind if I let out Bubblegum for a bit? Would you like to play a game with her? She's pretty good at fetching." Esme said pulling out a small red ball out of her bag and glancing over at Victora.

Victora smiled weakly "Well sometimes I call her "V" for short." she admitted
Fathers? and an orphanage? "So you were raised by muggles?" she asked. "I don't have siblings, and.... My father was to busy to bring me to King's Cross." she said sadly. "Your fathers must be nice people, and don't break their promises." she said seeing them standing together. "My Aunt is our family healer. At least it was Aunt Noasu and not my Nanny. Aunt Noasu gave me this gift but told me not to open it till after the train had fully left the station." she said indicating the present next to her. She did how ever wave to Aunt Noasu.
"Father of coarse wants me in Slytherin. The house of greatness. 'It's the only house worthy of wizards from our family.' He's always saying things like that." she said, "Ravenclaw is a good house, It's where all the smart kids go. I'm not brave enough for Gryffindor. Father wouldn't like it much if I ended up in Hufflepuff."
"I don't mind if you let Bubblegum out," she said with a small smile. "The compartment would be better then being in a cramped carrier. We would just need a lawn for them." she said softly trying to make a joke. She smiled and saw the ball. "V is too, Though this compartment might be a bit too small for her to do so...." she smiled.

Esme realized her question about Victora and her pet getting confused was rather insensitive after she asked it. "Sorry about being so blunt, I sometimes don't think before I speak my mind. V is a cute nickname."
Esme shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah it was a bit hard at first. They were always wondering how my hair kept going blue on them. Twas rather funny when they tried to dye it black so many times. For some reason dye never worked in my hair, it would just wash all out. Finally they just gave up on my having a natural color of hair and left it as it was. I was lucky I didn't start doing magic at an early age, that would have driven them bonkers."
Esme felt rather sorry to hear that Victora didn't have any siblings, life must be rather lonesome for her. And it sounded like her father had a very involved job that kept him away from her. Not that life was all that amazing surrounded by tons of kids. She should know she had grown up with 50 other kids and that was a trial in itself.
"Well, right now my father Raphael is looking for a new job and my father Pere works nights. So they didn't have much going on this morning. I imagine your father's job is one that keeps him very busy." She said kindly. She glanced at the present sitting next to her and wondered what was inside."You should open it then. We are out of the station."
Esme wasn't surprised to hear that her father wanted her in the family house. She was glad that her fathers' weren't so set on which house she might get into. She thought it was much too much pressure for a kid to be put under. Seriously like it really mattered what house one got into. It was what you did and achieved that really mattered.
"Oh I see. Well I hope you get the house you want." She added. "Well if that did happen it wouldn't be the worst that could happen."
Esme was glad to hear that Victora didn't mind if she let out Bubblegum. She opened the carrier and held the ball in front of the open door to entice the cat out. "Come on silly, come say hello to our new friends. Come on sleepy head," She said softly.
The small cat stretched out and then sniffed at the red ball before cocking it's head to the side and looking over at Victora. A small meow came out and the cat padded over to the other girl and patted her leg with a soft paw.
"She's wanting to say hello, if you put your hand down she'll tap it." Esme said with a smile.

Victora smiled "It's alright my nanny and house keeper does the same thing." she said softly then trying to push the it under the bridge. "It's nothing new trust me." she said softly
"So being raised by muggles you must have already met one of the staff members. What was the teacher's subject?" she asked, wondering how the teacher taught Esme about Hogwarts and Diagon Alley
She nodded to the color of her hair and nodded, "You didn't want your hair to change that's why the dyes would wash out. There is a rare trait that makes some people Matamorphmagus, where they can change how they look at will. Though it's quite rare and you have to be born an Matamorphmagus. There are also potions and spells that can change how someone looks, they are much more effective so your birth parents could have used one of those to make your hair blue as well, though more likely it was to themselves that passed on to you. There is also something called an Animagi, that takes training to turn into an animal, however you don't get to pick the animal, and that would be the only thing you could turn into at will. Unlike that Matamopmagi who get to change into anything," she explained not knowing weather or not Esme knew this or not but maybe it would help to explain why her hair was blue.
Victora nodded, "Yes the name Ancients is one that does a lot of sales... Astrology stuff and charms... But my father would rather work then spend time with me." she said softly "It's easier then being reminded." she said softly again side stepping it. "So most of the time it's just me and Nanny Fe in the house.... She's a squib.. er... a muggle born to magic parents." she said. When ever she talked about or thought or looked at Nanny Fe she always had that twinge of guilt because Fe had that scar that she had gotten after that time Victora had gotten lost.
She watched as the pink and teal cat came out of it's carrier and then came over to her and scratched Bubblegum's ear softly. V also came out from under the seat and sniffed the small cat and then Esme. Victora smiled softly then picked up the present and undid the ribbon bow making the one gift into two. She then opened carefully separated the paper and pulled a box, On the top was a patch that had the crescent moon on a deep purple patch. Under the patch was the letter and she pulled it out. It was writing she had seen before but only a few times before. This made her eyes swell some
"Dear Victora,
By the time you read this you'll be on the train on your way to Hogwarts for the first. I don't know where I and your father will be on this big step of your life, after all you're just a babe. Still there is no knowing where the roads lead us, even reading stars doesn't tell you what will or won't happen just that something could happen. Still if I am right I haven't much time left. Know that I'm proud of you honey, and I love you and your father so much. Don't be too hard on him if I am gone. He does love you even if he might not show it. Also know that each house of Hogwarts is good and that it doesn't matter which house you get into. Even if I am still around on that day I think I will give you this special gift so you don't forget who you are. Don't be afraid of what you will do and don't be afraid of something new. I know you'll make lots of friends honey just remember to smile and enjoy your life.
Love you with all my heart little moon drop Mary Ancients Mommy
Victora looked at the box that was under the parchment it was like her mother's jewelry box but it had Victoria's name instead of her mother's she opened it and the familiar tune filed the compartment it sounding a bit more 'in tune' then her mothers. The other box was from Noasu it was just a lunch case with a few Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts, and a note in Noasu's writing.
Your father wants me to give you this healthy lunch and that other gift, though he didn't say why just that you couldn't have till you were on the train, and I'm giving you the money for the snack trolley, I know you have some on you, but you never know when you need some handy. I want to know what you got
Aunt Noasu
Victora whipped her eyes and picked up the ribbon thinking it could be a good toy to play with Bubblegum with. "Sorry I didn't mean to start crying." she said softly.

"Oh," Esme said feeling sorry to hear it. "Well I'll try to be better about not being blunt. It can get old after awhile."
"Well the guy I met was the herbology Professor, his name is Piotr Ilya, he's a really interesting guy. He has a cool Russian accent and the longest blonde hair ever. He had all these cool moving pictures of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley. We also went there and got to see everything. I think it helped that my fathers could explain things as well. I still think it's funny they didn't think to tell me before my magic started showing up. I suppose if they had jobs in the magicking world I would have known much sooner."
Esme had never heard anything about Metamorphmagus before. It was interesting and exciting to hear that she wasn't just a normal witch. It also made her think of who her birth parents might be. One day she meant to try and find out more about them.
"Well does that mean that my birth parents had to have been a Metamorphmagus as well for me to be one? Or just have one in their ancestry? There must be some reason why they had to give me up. So I suppose it's possible that if I were able to learn how I could change the color of my hair and eyes. I guess I'll have to see if I can find a book on it in the Hogwart's library."
Esme was all of a sudden excited. It would be so cool to change the way she looked when she was performing one of her dramas or skits. She could literally play any role or part she wanted! It would definitely take a lot of training and practice.
Esme couldn't help but feel sad that Victora didn't get to see her father very often. She wondered what it was Victora wasn't saying that she kept alluding to in her comments. It didn't really seem the time or place for her to bring it up though so she decided not to say anything.
Esme was about to ask what a squib was when Victora explained it. She really had a lot to learn about the magicking world. Perhaps Victora could help her with learning about the magicking world. There was so much to figure out it seemed.
Esme stilled herself as the fox slid out from it's hiding spot to come investigate her cat and then her. She was distracted with petting and stroking the fox so she didn't notice when Victora opened her box.
When she heard the music start playing she looked up to see where it was coming from. "Oh that's a pretty music box, what's the song it's playing?" She asked drawing closer to Victora and sitting down near her. That's when she noticed the tears running down Victora's face.
Esme patted Victora's hand and told her. "You don't need to apologize for crying, sometimes it's better to let it out."
Esme wasn't really comfortable around sad people so she was relieved when the older woman with a cart came to a stop outside their compartment. "Would you like something off the treat trolley my dears? Perhaps some hot chocolate?"
Esme's eyes widened at the sight of all the strange sweets piled on the trolley. There were so many different and colorful treats. She really didn't know where to begin.
"Umm what do you like Victora? I've never tried any of these before." Esme pulled a few of the strange coins her father Pere had given to her from her pocket. "I only have a few of your coins..." She said as she showed Victora what she had. "What should I get? Any suggestions?"

Victora nodded "Everyone going to Hogwarts stops in Diagon Alley before going to school. " she said with a nod "Though it should be good to see what the teachers will be like." she agreed
Victora shook her head, "Well no your parents didn't have to be an Metamorphmagus to give birth to one, though it is much more likely that one was, or it was in your family at some point. Though I don't really know much about it to be honest. But if your eyes and hair can change color when you want it to. It's probably a good assumption that you are a Metamophmagus."
She looked at the music box with name on the top her fingers going over the top of it. "It's the song my mother's box plays... It's just this was a present from my mother. To think she thought this far ahead to make one for me." she said softly.
She looked over at the snack trolley and smiled "Oh well some..." she said but Esme's voice sort of drowned it out but that was alright. She nodded. "Should 50 galleons cover the lot?" she asked haggling a little bit, since it seemed to all be priced with Knots "You should get to pick out what you like best." she added though this time it was to Esme. After a little more haggling they got what was on the trolley. "I don't normally get to share with anyone so please have anything you would like." she said referring the mound of snacks now with them. She picked up a chocolate frog box and cot it before it could escape and ate it's head. "Oh don't worry it's not a real frog, it's just enchanted to act like one." she explained.
She then looked at the frog card. "Elladora Ketteride," she chuckled to herself. She put the card down on the table before finishing off the frog in her hand.

Esme had figured that most students must have to get new supplies every school year so it wasn't s surprise most of them had to go to Diagon Alley, Though she supposed that some probably just sent or had people get their things for them. "I just hope that the teachers aren't mean." Esme commented. She had endured mean people before in her life, and if she could avoid them she would. Growing up in an orphanage for most of her life had made her realize that most mean people took out their feelings on others because they didn't know how to voice how they felt. Or just did it in spite.
"Oh," Esme was a bit surprised to hear that her birth parents might not be like her. It was kind of disheartening to her. She had thought that if she could locate another Metamorphmagus that she might be able to find her parents easier. To learn that the genes could be further back in her ancestry would just make it harder to find them.
"I see. Well I haven't ever tried to change my hair or eye color just by thinking it. It could just be something else altogether." She confided.
Esme couldn't help but feel the other's sadness as she spoke of her mother. She wondered how long ago the other's mother passed away. It must have been awhile due to the other's comment.
Esme didn't realize until after that she had interrupted Victora as she had started to speak. She bit her lip as she listened to her haggle to get all the sweets on the cart. She was a bit excited that she could try it all and see what she liked. She watched Victora pick up a box and open it. She watched fascinated as a chocolate frog emerged and tried to escape.
"that is so cool!" Esme exclaimed as Victora ate the rest of the frog. She reached into the pile and picked up a pastry wrapped in cellophane and tore off the wrapping.
She took a big bite of it and sighed contentedly. It tasted of pumpkin, spice, and all things fall. she finished it off slowly with a smile on her face.
"Pumpkin my favorite." She said and eyed the pile again. She pulled out a box labeled "Bertie Botts' Every Flavored Jelly Beans" and opened it. "These look good," She took out a green one and popped it into her mouth.
Her face turned an interesting shade of green and she spat it out into her hand. "Ugh! That tastes like grass! What the heck?" She sputtered and sat the box down far away from her.

Victora nodded, "Well the head and Ghosts of Hufflepuff are, Hufflepuffs are the most loyal and nicest of the houses. I've heard that all the ghost except for a poltergeist named Peeves, are relatively nice, Oh and the Slyitheren ghost the Bloody Barron," she said "One of the stories I heard about him was when he was a live one of the ways he humiliated people was taking the bride's first night. The first time is meant to be with the one you love, not someone who makes you do something against your will." she said "I don't know if that's true or not but that's one of the stories."
She couldn't help but feel a little guilty for bringing Esme down on the thought that she might not have been a Metamorphmagus. "Well you could always try and find out." she said trying to fix the mistake she had done.
Victora watched Esme excitedly go though the treats. "That's good you like it." she said the watched as Esme put a bean into her mouth and couldn't help but giggle a little, coughing a little after words and swallowed what she had.
"Sometimes they're good and sometimes they're bad, they are EVERY flavor, at least grass is better then some of the really gross ones. Some people like them because you get flavors like Orange Shubert, others like it because of the surprises you get, I had raw fish once, They are a kind of love em' or hate em' kind of thing." She explained "Sorry I would have warned you sooner but rude to speak with food in one's mouth.
"Here, take the Elladora Ketteride card, I've already got one her." she said, "I like chocolate, too bad I'm allergic to melons, At least it's easy to fix allergic reactions. Still not fun having it happen. Even had a bean bring it out once. Though I guess if I had to pick between allergies or regrowing my bones, I'd take the allergy." she admitted
((that's actually a rl story that I got from ether the History or the Travel channel about the real 'bloody baron' he had actually made a law that he got each woman's night of chastity.))
