Nova had kept her eyes on so many events that had transpired over the course of the past few months. Fights and chaos, things that Nova had truly wanted to end as their whole purpose in life had been to attempt to bring peace and unity throughout the races. She had been carefully considering through many candidates to find someone with strength, valor, and wisdom to bring some for leadership and unity to others. However, she still felt they were not exactly quiet there yet. With that being said, she had been researching how to guide her chosen candidate towards that goal if they had so pleased.

It was very early in the morning, the sun was barely touching the horizon yet as a letter was carefully slipped through the vent in room Moira had been asleep in, smacking her square in the face with almost precise accuracy. The envelope itself looked fairly old like it had been kept hidden for many years despite it's ornate design on it. The seal on the back bore the mark of Gaia in a lavender color and appeared to have traces of shimmer to the wax itself, the seal looking very fresh. The only thing written on the front in very beautiful cursive was: Moira.

Dearest Moira,

As you may have been aware, Tretera has fallen into dark times for our race, and as much as we had tried to be what we were created for, I don't think anyone expected us to be more than the tools we were made as to further the goals of others. Now with things considered that we are just as the other races are, we just want to be ourselves even if our goals still align towards peace and unity, the animosity and tensions that has grown over the time since the Academy was shut down, only causes for urgent concern for a those who can provide guidance through true strength.

I have watched you since you were born, the trials you have already faced prove just how suited you are to be the first appointed elder of the Hybrids, and join the ranks of those with the power to change this world, hopefully for the better.

However, you may seek many things to find your own harmony. While we may be both aware you still have more trials to face in finding what it is you seek from yourself to become transcendent into a state of mind that would allow you to share your power and guidance with those that direly need it as well as show humans and true races that we are not the weapons we think we are, you are the only one who can decide what that it is that you lack to achieve this.

Whether it be inner strength, you may find information on The Village of Ocrinas, they have been known to harbor some key to inner peace.

It could be possible that you seek to speak to the to spirits of Tretera themselves. You may look for what is called the Twilight Stone that is said to grant you that ability to pass through into a realm of spirits and speak to them directly.

Or you could wish to seek out Gaia herself for a divine gift, they call them Symbols of Radiance. These artifacts that enlighten your spirit and mind as well as true strength.

What it is you choose for yourself will take you on your journey towards becoming a true elder. This will be no easy task and unfortunately this will be a quest for you and you only. The likeliness that you will be able to stay in contact with those you are close to is very small, as you may also be gone for months depending on the path your carve. The path is dangerous and gruely but I have the utmost faith in you that you can complete this.

I wish you the best of luck,

Sincerely,
Nova Metamorphose

As the letter smacked her right in the face, stopping as it hit hit the section of her face between the edge of the gems and the bridge of her nose, Moira snapped awake and batted the letter off of her face as she quickly sat up in the massive pile of pillows and blankets that she had been sharing with both Arno and Vic. Groggily looking about, she looked down to where the letter sat, carefully picking it up and running her thumb over the seal before doing her best to open it carefully after seeing that it was her very own name ornately written on the front of it. Moving to stand up, she began to read, her eyes going over what was written.

Stopping, she re-read the start of the letter over again, read it fully, then started over once more. Looking back at the two who were still asleep in the pile, she smiled softly and started to head to the door. Stopping, as she put her hand on the doorknob, she went back to her own journal and wrote a letter to both Vic and Arno, ripping out the page and setting it between the two of them before grabbing her phone, it's charger, and the duffel bag she had originally taken with her when she had gone on her near three-week task to find the shark before she headed out the door to the hallway.

Luckily, with it being so early in the morning, Moira was able to leave towards where she had known the Jeep was without much interaction with others, though she knew that Anastasia would be watching her leaving. Clearing her throat, she spoke quietly, but loud enough for the strange ghost girl to hear her. "Anastasia, I want you to let those who are looking for me to know that I am doing something of utmost importance. I left them a note in my journal, but there is always a chance that they don't read it...I'm not sure when I'll return...do not track me, though. I have a feeling this might be an issue," as she spoke, she found her way to where the jeep was, though as she sat down in the drivers side, she sighed "and that this is of my own volition this time. I will return. Just...trust me." Moira turned to the closest known camera and waved at it before turning on the jeep and making her way out of the base.

Moira knew that the one that she had decided would more than likely be the toughest of the three, but she was determined to do it. While the wording of it wasn't her most favored one, the total culmination of what this artifact could do was what caught her eye. 'Maybe this divine gift could help me retain my memories when I'm in a fury..' she thought to herself as she headed off towards the sunrise.

Moira didn't seem to have much direction to go in as she drove eastward toward the rising sun in the distance. Driving until she was almost out of gas hours later, she reached very small village near a beach and vast ocean in the distance. The sign right before the town stated it was called Drisall. It was an old town filled with different true race fae and angels as the city was bustling and the weather was quite sunny. There were kids playing kickball in the street and there was a newly opened library that was connected to the village's school that may pertain some information however small the building seemed, and there was quite the commotion over by a coffee shop just up the road, though it was hard to tell what was happening from the distance she was at.

Do you want to:
  • Go play with the kids in the street.
  • Go to the library.
  • Go to the coffee shop.
  • Find a gas station so you can continue into the next town.

Seeing the the light coming on to the jeep, she sighed and made her way into the small village of Drisall, Moira looked about and decided to head to the coffee shop. Figuring she could get some coffee - decent coffee at that hopefully - before getting some gas, she parked the jeep and got out.

Moira would begin to realize a lot of the people that were out and about were fairly young looking, a lot of them had backpacks on and were quite energetic. Coming into the coffee shop, she wouldn't have to push much past most of the teenagers that seemed to be crowding around, not even in any line. They obviously weren't waiting but rather loitering and some of them yelling excitedly. Moira would be bounds taller than most of the Fae and Angel's in the shop, seeing over them clearly as two younger teens were stacking all sorts of random items on top of each other in their own separate piles like some kind of competition to see who could stack and balance the highest. One was an elven girl with long black hair and red eyes with tan skin as she appeared fiercely determined and very confident, standing on the booth chair to stretch as much as she could to carefully place a ketchup bottle on the top of her pile. The other was an angelic boy with white hair that faded into a cobalt blue as his wings were silvery white and his blue eyes focused on her with anticipation. He cursed under his breath as the girl actually managed to balance the ketchup bottle on top. Whipping his head around quickly, another angel handed him a napkin holder as he also stood on the chair on the other side of the booth to stretch up to place it on top of his own pile. The others quieting down just enough to let him concentrate before roaring up into cheering as he managed to balance it as well, an angry pout on the girls face as she looked for her next item to stack.

The barista had been watching them with an amused grin before gasping as she noticed an unfamiliar face enter the shop. "Oh, sorry about all the ruckus, ma'am.. 'fraid these kids always do this kinda thing 'fore the school bell rings. It's pretty entertaining. Come come, sit on over here and I'll whip you somethin' up. What'cha in the mood for?" she motioned to an attatched stool at the bar section of the counter, hurrying over to fetch her pad and pen to take the lady's order. Hesitating as she noticed the lack of arm. "Heavens, you get attacked out there in the wilderness or somethin'? Look like someone done you a number..." she then gasped again. "Oh, my 'pologies, that was mighty rude o' me... We don't get many visitors to these parts, so it's always a wonder when someone come 'round here." she seemed sincere about her apology, trying not to be rude about it as she smiled politely at her. The barista was a red-headed, freckled Muse with a firey orange and red gem on her forehead as she was dressed in regular clothing: t-shirt and jeans, only accompanied by a dark green waist apron with the shop name embroidered on the front: THE LAVA JAVA. Her name tag pinned to her shirt showed her name was Mauna. "What brings you here inta town?" she then asked after getting her order.

Almost stumbling into someone as she walked into the Lava Java, Moira did her best to dodge and weave through the crowd of kids, glancing at both the elf and the angel as they went about their stacking competition. 'What a strange thing to do..' She thought to herself as she reached the counter, placing her hand on it before looking over and down at the barista, smiling a little as she began to talk. Though as her arm was mentioned, she glanced over to the stump of an arm that she had on her left side and moved it a little, "Well - technically no, not in the wilderness." Moira chuckled a little bit then looked back to the woman and moved her own hand to her right hip.

"I'm just out and about on a... personal journey, you could call it." As she spoke, she looked up at the menu board behind the red-headed muse, her purple eyes going over each item before she tried to pick out what she wanted. Everything sounded good, but damn, was it hard to choose. "Drink wise, can I get a large Raspberry Cheesecake latte?" As she asked, she moved her hand to run through her short hair, "and maybe a blueberry muffin too." Moira smiled down at Mauna.

The barista nodded with a bright smile, "Comin' right up!" she exclaimed happily as she scurried off to fetch the items for her.

Meanwhile, it had probably been a couple more rounds of stack the things as it had come to his turn again, carefully stretching himself almost to his limit to place the top item on the pile. A sigh of relief as it balanced. The girl narrowed her eyes and moved to do the same to place her next item. Unfortunately, her tower of items began to sway and fell, items scattering everywhere as she looked so defeated then glared at him. "You did that on purpose!" "No I didn't, you just suck!" "Take that back, a pathetic excuse for a half-breed. Your genetics are a disgrace!" she shouted. "Don't be a b***h, Kailani!" he shouted back. "At least I'll admit it unlike you!" she screamed, kicking his tower over.

With that, the angelic boy lunged forward and tackled the elf to the ground and began swinging his fists at her. The girl yelped at first then growled angrily as she pushed him off quickly and pinned him to the ground, shoving her knees onto his wings to pin him down as she began to wail on him angrily. The crowd of kids roared up, chanting Fight! Fight! Fight! as the two duked it out, the elf not having the better vantage point but clearly not intent on stopping. "You're such a d**k, Halon!! You two-bit frigid b***h!" she screamed as she hit punch after punch into his face. "Everyone knows you're the reason people go missing!! I bet you lure them in with healing then kill them and eat them, you cannibal!! No one likes you, Kai! Not even your family!! That's why you're all alone!!!" The elven girl gasped, tears welling up in her red eyes as she only swung harder. "SHUTUP!"

The barista jumped forward from the behind the counter to assess the situation quickly. "Hey, you two!! Cut it out!! That's enough!!!" she scolded even if it seemed to do absolutely nothing to break up the fight between the two teens.

Slowly looking over to the two kids, her smile dropped from her face for a moment when she heard them shouting and screaming at each other. Normally, it wouldn't have been an issue, but a couple of the things that were being flung verbally were actually getting to her - not that she'd let anyone know. Closing her eyes for a moment, she took in a breath, let it out, and walked over to the two, bringing up her right hand over her stump and forming the rock arm as she knew that this would take two hands to do [Geokinesis - Stone Fist]. Walking through the crowd, Moira made her way to the two kids and gently picked both of them up by the back of their shirts and held them up and at arms length apart. "You heard the lady, cut it out." She said with a gentle smile, looking between the two kids, holding them pretty high up, knowing that she was more than likely going to be causing a scene with this, but... whatever.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 17, 2016 8:54 pm

The small crowd of teens parted as Moira moved toward the two fighting kids. The chanting had died down as the crowd was thinning out now. The two of the teens Moira had picked up were still trying to fight at each other before the Angel died down, crossing his arms as his wings bristled followed by a sharp glare. "You're not even a real healer! You're a quack just like your parents!" he shot forth. The girl glared back, still kicking and struggling as she looked as though she had so much fire in her that she would never stop trying to fight him. "Take that back!!" she yelled, completely ignoring the person who'd picked her up.

There was bell that rang in the distance as what was left of the crowd of teens dispersed quickly, picking up strewn backpacks as they headed quickly to school before they were late. Halon flapped his wings, "Hey, put me down! That's the bell! I'm going to be so much trouble if I'm late!!" he half-demanded of the woman. Meanwhile, Kailani had slowly died down, glaring hard at the boy before crossing her arms angry. "Yeah, go to your stupid school... No one wants to see your dumb face, anyway..." "Shutup, Kailani!"

The barista sighed with exasperation. "Hey, leave Kailani alone and get out of here... You've done enough damage already. Just give it a rest before I call your parents." she spoke with a sense of tiredness as she put a hand on her hip then looked up to Moira who was well over a foot and a half taller than her. "Thanks for stepping in..."

Turning to look between the two, she set the boy down first, "Get on to school - kid." Moira said quickly, but kept the girl still held aloft, "I do have some questions for you, though, if you'd be kind enough to answer them." she smiled gently, waiting for the boy to get close to being out of the shop before setting the girl down. Once she set Kailani down, she turned to glance at the barista and nodded a bit, then turned back to the small girl.

"What was the talk about people going missing?" She asked the question softly, not wanting to step on any toes. This wasn't really her territory, anyways, but she knew the pain of having someone go missing.

Halon straightened himself a bit as he was set down, giving one last glance to Kailani before looking to Moira a bit more intimidated by her now that he realized just how big she was. A final glance to the barista, he took up his backpack into his hand. "...sorry, mauna.." he muttered before running off after the other kids to school.

Kailani kept her arms crossed as she frowned angrily at Moira, saying nothing at first. As soon as she was set down she moved over to pick up the items that had fallen all over the floor, putting them back where they belong as she listened to the question, pausing for only a moment as she processed it. Turning quickly, a look of distraught anger and pain in her face. "Look, I didn't kill anyone!" she exclaimed suddenly, worried that the woman would honestly believe it.

Mauna sighed and moved back behind the counter to continue the order for Moira. She frowned at the question, looking to Kailani for a moment, making sure she could handle answering such a question and gauging whether she needed to interject or not.

Kailani frowned, wiping the tears from her eyes, wincing as she felt her left eye hurt a lot as she touched it. Great, that was probably going to bruise. She sighed. "People used to go missing when my parents worked on their patients. I don't know, I barely knew them. Now, it's just me. I run a healing business up on the hill that overlooks the ocean. I mean... he's right, I'm not a healer, but I make medicines and inventions that help." she explained, continuing to clean up the mess they had made. "My powers suck, so I just build stuff now. Anyway, he's just mad because his brother came to me asking about some place called Treles. It's where my parents were from, an island northeast of here. I told him about it and even took him there, but he never came back." she hesitated, eyes toward the ground. "He was some idiot looking for things that don't even exist, that's his own damn fault for dying there. It's nothing but desolate land now that the Great War has been over for decades... He still blames me. People leave Drisall all the time and I get blamed for it like I murdered them in my laboratory. Idiots... I'm not that cruel.."

She looked up to Moira with a stern look. "You should have let me beat his face in some more.... He deserves it." she commented harshly before putting back the last item then taking up a black satchel onto her shoulder. "My name is Kailani... What's your name?" she asked, staring at her with narrowed, analyzing eyes. "...and what other questions did you have for me?"

"I believe that you didn't kill anyone, you don't quite look the type." Moira chuckled a little bit and put her hand on her hip, watching the girl move about and put the items back where they belonged. Deciding to help, she started to pick things up as well and trying her best to put the items back where they belonged. Stopping when the girl started to explain what was going on, Moira felt a little bad for the girl - but had a feeling that she might get decently along with Michael if she could get a method for them to contact them.

"I could have, but I didn't. I'm Moira." she smiled, placing a napkin holder back onto a table, "As for more questions...hmmm.." she let out a soft sigh and brought up her hand so she could tap her chin a bit, "I am interested in your inventions, if anything because I have a friend who would be more inclined to look at them than myself as he seems to like making things too...but the place called Treles sounds interesting too - could you tell me more about that, if you're okay with it that is."

Kailani looked relieved then thoroughly surprised as Moira mentioned believing her and that she didn't look like she'd kill anyone. "Well, that's first.." she muttered and finished putting all the items up, turning to give a distasteful look at Moira as she allured that she wasn't going to keep letting her hit the boy. "I don't even see why you'd stop me, but okay.." she muttered again then sighed.

"Order's ready." Mauna called out and set the items that Moira had ordered on the counter with a smile and looked to Kailani. "You know not everyone thinks you did all that stuff..."

"Well, enough people think I did. But I guess that's really a moot point. Can't change people's minds... well, I mean, I could, but that wouldn't be too nice to brainwash others with potions.. then I'm still the bad guy in the end." she commented as she bent down to pick something up she missed, her hair falling against her shoulder in a way that a dark marking on the back of her neck peeked through, it was hard to tell what it was, but it was definitely something. Kailani moved to set a ketchup bottle back on one of the tables then sauntered over to the counter and sat in one of the stool next to where Moira had been sitting earlier.

She raised an eyebrow in a stone-face curiosity as Moira spoke of a friend who liked inventions. "Hmm.. I make all sorts of things, alchemy and potions and mechanical devices all the like. Though, the inventions I make aren't very well received around here. Seems everyone really likes living in the past. I can make portable communication devices and hubs to access the information data stream. Things like that... Other than that, most people just ask me for basic healing potions..." she answered then paused as the topic of Treles came up.

"Uhm.. no, that's okay. I can talk about Treles." she leaned back a bit to think. "Let's see, I know it used to be an island full of elves and magic and such. But it was desecrated during the Great War like everything else. My parents lived there before the war until everyone was forced to leave. They all came here and most moved on to other places by now... Anyway, Halon's stupid brother wanted to go there and get some rocks that were there to make him stronger or something. The story he told me seemed totally fake, but I still took him there anyway. I guess that was my fault, I know that place is dangerous and I still went." she sighed, "I thought he was going to stay in the main village, but by dawn he had wandered off and never came back." she frowned then pulled out a notebook she had with a moon crest on the front and opened it to a bookmarked page. Looking it over briefly, she set it open on the counter and slid it over enough to let Moira see what was written. The page had drawings of four colored stones and symbols for wind, water, fire, and earth. The top labeled the stones as Radiant Teardrops. "They say the stones fell from the moon itself and bestows great power on those who possess it. Except no one has ever seen them before so it's likely all made up anyway..." she scoffed lightly then looked to Moira. "Though, you look like you have a lot of power all on your own...." she laughed, "Are you... some kind of muse?" she asked, staring up at her with her red eyes, analyzing her gems carefully.
