Imagine going toe to toe with a raptor! But at least if you're facing down a raptor, you're in your own element. Just consider what it would be like to fall into one of those ancient oceans...and what else might be swimming around with you.

~~How this Works~~ This is a CYOA game with a bit of a twist. You will be playing for your life against the terrifying denizens of the prehistoric deep in a Choose Your Own Adventure-style game; whoever makes it the farthest will win!
However, if you so choose you also have the option prior to the CYOA of trying to match my dice roll for immunity points. Immunity points will allow you to get free passes on CYOA questions and increase your odds in the runner up raffle. If you get lucky, you might even win a pony with a roll of the dice!

~A Dice Mini-game~
This part of the game is optional; you can participate in the CYOA without rolling any dice. However, why not try to up your odds?
On Wednesday June 15th at 2pm EST, I will roll 5 100-sided dice. Anyone who wishes has 24 hours (so until Thursday the 16th, 2pm EST) to make one attempt to match my dice roll, with the following potential rewards:
~101 or more away from my total: Nothing happens, good or bad
~Within 71-100 of my dice total: 1 immunity point
~Within 51-70 of my total: 2 immunity points
~Within 21-50:: 3 immunity points
~Within 11-20: 4 immunity points
~Within 1-10: 5 immunity points
~Match my roll: Auto-win of a pony/familiar!
Ok, so what do you do with immunity points? Well, a couple things, actually!
~Each immunity point allows the player to get a "Free Pass" on a question. Players with one immunity point automatically survive the first CYOA question, players with two immunity points automatically survive the first and second, etc.
~Each immunity point also earns the holders an extra ticket per point in the final prize raffle (more info in next post).

~A CYOA Survival Game~
The meat of the game, where if you're unlucky you become the meat!
This part of the game starts at 8pm EST on Thursday, June 16th, with sign-ups starting at 7pm EST. The format will be like most CYOAs; you will be faced with situations and have to decide how best to survive with your skin intact! Answer wrong, or take more than 5 minutes to respond, and you are eliminated; the player who makes it the furthest along wins!
Players who earned immunity points in the dice rolling portion will automatically pass the first X number of questions (up to five, depending on how many points they won) AS LONG AS THEY ARE PRESENT. Players with immunity points must still submit their answer form for each question regardless and are subject to elimination if they fail to post.
At the end of the game after the winner (or winners, if there is a tie) have received their prizes, the remaining pets will be raffled off to all CYOA players. Every player will automatically receive one ticket; players will receive an additional ticket for each question they successfully passed, whether by answering correctly or by immunity points!

~~General Rules and FAQ~~ 1. This counts as your pony/familiar freebie for the event! 2. No deleting of posts! Deleting posts will lead to automatic disqualification 3. Proxies are allowed, but if you are proxying you may not play for yourself. Please indicate any proxying in your entry form! 4. You DO NOT have to participate in the dice rolling to play in the CYOA and be eligible for prizes. You DO need to be present for the CYOA in order to be eligible (unless you matched my dice roll and won a prize that way). 5. You may only make one attempt to match my dice roll. Making any additional attempts will result in disqualification. 6. There is no limit on the number of players, but all CYOA players must sign up during the sign up window prior to the CYOA start.

Q: I won three immunity points, but I want to guess at the first couple questions. Can I bank my points to use later instead of using them right away? A: Nope, sorry. Points have to be used right away, though you are welcome to guess "just for fun" even while using points! Q: So, I have immunity points but I still have to answer the initial questions? That seems dumb, what's the point in immunity then? A: Immunity points basically protect players from wrong answers, not from missing the question deadline. You still have to post in the 5 minute window for your immune questions, but that's not really hard, is it? Q: So, about proxies; can I roll my own dice but have someone proxy for me in the CYOA? Or can I have a proxy roll the dice for me and then play in the CYOA myself? A: Yes to both of the above! However, you can only have one presence in each part of the game, so be sure to communicate with your proxy to ensure you do not both roll (which would cause you to be disqualified!) or both sign up for the CYOA. Also, whoever signs up for the CYOA (you or your proxy) must play through until the end; you may NOT swap out for a proxy midway through the game. Q: I already won a familiar and a pony, but I LOVE CYOAs! May I play along just for funsies? A: Of course you may! Just please, to help me out and keep things simple, note in your entry form that you are NOT eligible for prizes and are playing for fun.
