Erytheia was pondering what he had discovered. There were other people like him. Other Knights of Cosmos. These thoughts dominated his mind as he stood on the rooftop allowing the night wind to play with his uniform. He surveyed the streets below. He couldn't help but feel like a stranger here. Who was he, anyway? And who were the knights of Cosmos? But then he saw someone in the distance. A hint of a starry cape. A weapon brushed by the moonlight. Could be have found another like him so soon? ✪

Galaxite was perched on a roof, crouched down and aiming carefully with his toy bow. He couldn't do much damage with Nerf darts, but he could practice accuracy - maybe he would set up a target range for himself somewhere. He was doing better than he had at first, a few months' practice making the draw and aim of the bow feel natural and calming rather than strange and uncomfortable.
He felt a Page aura, and smiled faintly to himself, shifting out of his crouch and letting go of the handle attached to his bowstring. no reason to be intimidating right off - new Pages, after all, were just lost creatures that could be made into something better.
"Hello?" He called, taking a few steps away from the edge of his rooftop. "Come out! I don't want to fight!"

Well, it looked as if he hadn't found another knight, after all. One might even say he hadn't 'felt' one. The aura wasn't right despite the features of another of Cosmos. It was dark and it was Chaos-filled despite the starlight. It wasn't one of his own. It was fortunate that the other boy didn't want to attack. He would have had the advantage. "I have no plans of attacking you either." Erytheia looked up into the night for a better look at who he was speaking to. "Who are you?"✪

"Lieutenant Galaxite, of the Negaverse," he gave a brief, sweeping bow, and then straightened, bouncing briefly on the balls of his feet. "You're a Cosmos Knight, aren't you? All bright and white and gold, with those stars." He smiled fondly.
Cosmos Knights still felt like brothers, in a way, even though he had only been one for a day, barely long enough to understand what he had become. "What's your name, then? Your Wonder?"

Galaxite.It was the first name from the Negaverse he had heard and he played it back in his mind. It sounded like galaxy. "Erytheia." Perhaps the two could be friends. "And, yes, I am a knight of Cosmos."He smiled amicably. "How did you know?"✪

"Erytheia," Galaxite tested the name on his tongue, tilting his head, considering. It sounded like a Cosmos name, certainly. He liked it. Almost as much as he liked Caledonia or Eden or Rannoch.
"I recognized it. I used to be one. So did my," he paused, for a moment, considering how to classify his relationship with Caledonite, and settled on the simplest term he could think of, "boyfriend." Not quite accurate, but it would do.
"I like the Negaverse much better though. I'm so much less scared and confused all the time."

"You used to be a knight of Cosmos?"Erytheia heard the words, but didn't understand them. "You used to be like me... But how did this happen? How did you change?"What was going on? Erytheia knew he must be missing something. ✪

Galaxite hummed agreement, looking deeply amused. "It really was brief - maybe a day, or so? But yes, I was. I was Rannoch of Cosmos, and my Wonder was the most beautiful lake, filled with stars." He sighed, fondly, clinging to the fleeting memories he had of that acutely magical place. It as, in fact, almost the entirety of his remaining recollection before becoming Galaxite.
"But when I first started out, I ran into this Lieutenant. Caledonite. He felt a...connection to me, and I to him, and -- well." He shrugged his shoulders. "Caledonite called his General-Queen, and she put her hand in my chest and filled me up with Chaos. I struggled, at first, because it hurt, and it was - scary, really, but it was worth it. It's so much better, being an officer - I don't have to wonder and stumble and hope some friendly soul will answer my questions. There's structure, hierarchy - safety. I always know that if I call for help, someone will answer."

He had learned that those of the Negaverse used to be knights that had fallen to Chaos. He had even heard of forced corruptions. But never of something like this. "So you wanted to change?"Erytheia tried to understand. Being afraid. Lost. Alone. He had felt all those too when he first awakened. He still felt some of it now. But he knew what his heart told him and he could never have forsaken it. ✪

"Not at first," Galaxite admitted, "but I have been made to understand." It sounded, he realized, a little dark, but really - he was happy, what else mattered?
"I was hesitant to leave my old life behind, but I wanted to be with Caledonite so much it hurt." Be pressed a hand to his chest, as if remembering that pull. "So - you could say I wanted to, yes." He laughed, dryly. "It's not bad, anyway!"

"It feels like that to me with I think of Cosmos and my wonder."Erytheia placed his hand to his chest as well with a dreamy look. He let his guard down now. His weapon he held gently. "I sounds like you love this person very much."✪

Galaxite sighed. "I do love him. Very much."
He considered, for a moment. Right now, this Knight was attached to his Wonder, but that could be...remedied. He had liked Rannoch well enough, after all, but he didn't need it anymore.
The Negaverse was so much better.
"I'm sorry," he said, and then he shifted his grip on his bow and swung it around, aiming for Erytheia's solar plexus. Take him down quickly, call Lepidolite, have him brought into the Negaverse, boom pish brand new officer.

Erytheia was on his knees before he knew what hit him. The blow struck him hard at his core. He gasped for precious air as the breath left his mouth. His eyes watered as he tried to look up at Galaxite. "... why?"✪

Galaxite moved to deliver a swift kick, hoping to knock the poor, lost kid down and keep him there. This wasn't quite as gentle as Caledonite had been with him, but that was fine, he would make it up to whatever new officer Erytheia became later.
"Because however much this hurts, the Negaverse will be so much better for you," he said, and there was a wan little smile on his lips. "Really. It will be. I promise."Meighei feel free to have erytheia book it however you like!

Galaxite planned to corrupt him into a servant of the Negaverse! Erytheia needed to find a way to escape and fast. But he didn't have much in the way of magic. His weapon... It didn't have true magic. Yet it did have the incense burning inside. Maybe it would be enough. Maybe. The page released as much of the fragrant smoke as possible to blind the former Cosmos knight. Perhaps Galaxite had made his choice. And it was foolish for Erytheia to think he could understand it, much less change it. When the air cleared, he was gone. ✪
