Cache Magic
User is able to cache/store anything that has an affect on their being. This includes but is not limited to energy, sleep, pain, oxygen, emotions or even vision. The user is able to create an excess amount of an effect that they do not experience until they decide to restore it. This allows the user to perform feats otherwise unobtainable due to lack or overburden of an effect.
The user is capable of: Staying awake for long periods of time. Exerting themselves at desired intensity for long periods of time. Nullifying negative emotional or physical feelings by storing it in order to perform better. Gain strength by recovering stored strength. Resist poison or electric shocks by storing it. Stay underwater for long periods of time. Manipulate their body heat by regulating their stored temperatures. Avoid death by storing an injury and then heal it as it is restored progressively. It can replenishing fatigue and accumulate physical attributes, but not magic.
Molding Magic: Shadow-Make
Molding Magic allows the user to mold or create something by concentrating their Magic Power into their hands, like an element, into different shapes or forms. If the user uses both of their hands in molding an element, they can create an accurate form of their element. Casting one-handed is easier, but it is a less stable form of molding and may result in less powerful creations. Shadow-Make is a type of Molding Magic which utilizes the element of darkness. The user can create a variety of objects out of darkness to be used for offensive, defensive or miscellaneous purposes. Users of Shadow-Make are capable of merging their bodies inside actual shadows, additionally with more than one occupant, making it an effective use for stealth. This goes for their creations as well; being able to remain hidden until made to attack.
Sword Magic
A Magic which, as the name itself suggests, is focused around the use of swords, with those weapons acting as mediums for the user to perform particular attacks. Many of such moves are shown capable of going past the physical reach of the blade employed in their use, threatening foes at short-to-mid range. Some Sword Magic techniques seem to involve the use of elements commonly found employed by elemental forms of Magic, such as Fire Magic or Water Magic; in addition, the user can also remotely maneuvre several swords at the same time. A number of different blades can be employed for such Magic, with the most recurring ones being longswords and katana. In some cases, certain moves might even involve the change of the sword's properties, such as its length.

Weapons:
Shingetsu (New Moon)
Zane's personal katana that he received as a gift. It was given to him after by a friend after joining Orochi Scale. He cherishes the blade greatly and never allows it to leave his side. This sword is exceptional sharp, despite any abuse it suffers.
Mangetsu (Full Moon)
Zane's second katana that he received after the passing of a dear friend. In the hands of its former master, it was used in several unison raid techniques. Some of those techniques are still used to this day; however, lack their former power. This sword is actually a reverse blade, making it very hard to cut much of anything.

- Background Information -
Personality:
Zane is a calm and soft-spoken man; his eyes often appearing distant and weary as a result of his magic. The young man is also very lethargic and devoid of energy. This coupled with his love for dark humor and dreary poetry tends to cause people to either fear him or find him creepy. He rarely shows any emotion to others, appearing stoic and apathetic, while actually just being aloof and quiet. He is notably calm, even in battle, with the addition of having more energy. Rarely, does he get frustrated and caught off-guard; remaining calm, collected, and in control. Behind that mask is a strong and unyielding fighting spirit. In particular, when it comes to strong opponents, he tends go out of his way to prolong the fight, even if it endangers himself. Zane acts indifferent, bordering on arrogance, to most situations he is faced with and rarely views his opponent as being worth his time. Since surviving the incident with Orochi Scale, he has felt a little lost and unsure of himself. However, it has changed him for the better; causing him to reflect on his life. If anything, it has improved his relationship with his family, if only a little.
Background/Biography:
Zane was born and raised in the guild hall of Lamia Scale, his parents being well known wizards of the guild. Despite this, he never had any interest in being a mage, but rather, it was the guild members who expected he would. Since he was capable of such and knew nothing else, a wizard he became. The boy chose light magic, like his father, thinking it would simple and something he could learn quickly with help. The rate at which he did so had the guild calling him a prodigy, not that he cared so much about titles. He was only seven years old and yet he was very sharp, with the mindset of an adult. Around this time, his sister was born into the world which didn't seem to phase him any. His father preached to him the importance of being an older sibling and so it was. Zane would do his best in helping take care of his sister over the years as he felt was the responsible thing to do. It wasn't until he was about twelve when things suddenly took a turn for the worst. Being as perceptive as he was, he felt something about his mother was off in the coming days that lead to her leaving. Often times he would hear her talking to herself and sometimes she got quite severe headaches. But there was nothing he could do to stop her from leaving; not when his father couldn't even convince her.
What followed was what pushed Zane further and further from his family, the guild included. Five months after his mother left, his father became very doting on his sister. It didn't seem like the man had any time for him, only for Emalina. He suddenly started doing less mission in order to spend more time at home but it made no difference. The following year, his father became the guild master of Lamia Scale and yet, the guild felt even less like home. Part of him blamed his old man and another on his little sister. The boy found himself spending less and less time with her until he had finally got fed up and left at the age of fifteen. His father didn't try to stop him, believing he should be allowed to follow his heart. But no one, not even Zane, expected him to join Orochi Scale.
Zane had left home and decided to wander around while working as a freelance mage. During one of his jobs, he was sought out by members of Orochi Scale. It was a guy around his age named Varius and his younger sister, Cloelia. He knew they were trying to recruit him as a way to get to his father, to which he agreed out of spite. The adolescent didn't mind being used in this way since he was getting something out of it as well. Unlike Lamia Scale, Orochi Scale was a lot crueler but tolerable. Perhaps what made it so tolerable were the two who had brought him in. Varius seemed to genuinely want to be friends with him, giving him a sword as a guild welcoming gift. Over the years, the two formed a team which later also included Cloelia. And in that time, Zane had refined his magic; learning Shadow-Make in place of Light Magic, Sword Magic which worked in conjunction with his partner and even developing a new Magic after studying Requip. The guild master and the guild could see how he lived up to the prodigy title. But in that time, he also learned that Orochi Scale wasn't so bad. It was genuinely everyone for themselves; however, they came together when it mattered. His teammates in particular were very different from the others. Varius and his sister used to be homeless on the streets before coming to the guild, having left home to escape their abusive mother and her boyfriend. Perhaps it was why he showed compassion for those in similar situations whenever they were in town. As for Cloelia, she was a girl who always smiled despite the circumstances. A bright and cheerful optimist who wasn't that much older than his own sister. It was her who named their team after a night of stargazing; the same team that accomplished many jobs and hardships together. With them, Zane had regained a family he thought he lost.
And then that person appeared before them. His team was preparing to head out on another job when they were met at the guild entrance by a mysterious cloaked individual. They never uttered a single word, even when Cloelia greeted him. Before either he or Varius could do anything, the poor girl was shot before them. Zane reached out to catch her as she fell, while her brother attacked the stranger alone in a fit of rage. In an instant, his best friend had fallen too, having left himself too exposed. He barely had any time to set the girl down before having to defend himself against this assassin, who revealed themselves to be very powerful. But the swordsman was far from being in the right state of mind to fight properly. Even he had limits to how composed he could stay while being highly emotional. The assassin easily bested him as a result, striking him with the same Magic that was used on his team. Zane fell to the ground, powerless; the assailant stepping over him to enter the guild. At the last moment before falling unconscious, the wizard managed to use his Cache Magic to rid himself of the effect that was taking place on his body. It was hours before he finally awoke again, from early morning to the evening with the sun setting. Part of him wished he never did, that the sight he awoke to was nothing more than a nightmare. Varius and Cloelia had died, the older brother holding his sister's hand in his final moments. All of Orochi Scale had been completely wiped out...and he was alone again.
Three months passed, Zane falling back into the routine of being a freelance wizard. He spent a lot of time searching for answers behind the attack but was remiss to come up short. The swordsman also took up Varius' blade and integrated his partner's style into his own. In a way, it vaguely felt like they were still fighting together. While in Balsam Village, he met his sister for the first time in years while on a job. She was even more timid and shy than the last he saw her, but he was overwhelmed to find that familiar kindness like Cloelia. Against his better judgement, he allowed her to persuade him to return to Margaret Town. Meeting his father again, he was surprised to find not anger but to be welcomed home. It was probably the first time he expressed any emotion of grief and pain to anyone, yet he couldn't hold back any longer. Zane decided to stay and rejoin Lamia Scale in order to protect his sister; providing her with tough love in ways their father wouldn't. All the while, he continues to search for the one who killed his friends.

Additional/Other Information:
- Zane's proficiency at Shadow-Make allows him to use it with one hand as well as if he used two. Advanced magic; however, still requires him to use two hands.
- Despite what he says or how he treats his sister, Zane will always jump to her defense.
- Rumor has it, he has a crush on someone but he's very good at hiding it. He writes about it in his poetry; however, it's too subtle to tell.
- Zane's Memento Mori ("remember that you have to die") means he's using Shingetsu with dark magic to attack and that it is lethal. Memento Vivre ("remember that you must live") means he's using Mangetsu with light magic and that the attack is less likely to kill.

Sword Magic
Memento Mori/Vivere: Selenic Dragon
A lunging move that is backed with dark/light magic, using it as propulsion and a cloak over the sword and body. As a two handed technique
Memento Mori/Vivere: Eruption
A single sword technique that starts with the sword in its scabbard. Taking a stance, the swordsman will quickly dash past their opponent, drawing the sword in a blink of an eye for a strike. Additionally, the strike will create a gash in the ground beneath the target's feet. There, a torrent of dark/light energy will emerge to blast the victim as the sword is sheathed.
Lunar Crescent Fangs
While both swords are sheathed, they are withdrawn simultaneously for a dual strike. The force of these swings create a dark and light wave of energy that can even tear apart the ground.
Memento Vivere: Initial Quarter
A sword strike that slashes twice across the chest and once in the back. This technique leaves a small glowing white mark on the victim after the back strike. Each subsequent strike will also leave a glowing mark.
Memento Mori: Last Quarter
A special technique that can only be used after Initial Quarter. Using the dark imbued sword, a hit must be landed on the white marks. The reaction is a normal cut; however, it causes immense pain in the area hit. Several hits can cause pain so severe that the victim will pass out.
Memento Mori: Waning Crescent
This technique can work with only one sword; the blade being used to uppercut its target and launch them into the air. With light magic acting as a propulsion behind it, it hits with a hard force and will lift both the victim and user up into the air.
Memento Vivre: Waxing Gibbous
With light magic acting as a propulsion, the sword is brought down on the intended target. Works well in the air, as a follow up to Rising Viper or for an extra push for an attack.

Sword Magic
Memento Mori/Vivere: Blue Moon
While the blade is tucked away, Zane will prepare with a stance that holds the sword perpendicular to his body. Gathering his magic energy, an enormous blue wave will erupt from the sword being drawn. This wave is large enough to tower a large building and slice through one too.
Memento Mori/Vivere: Kusanagi
A fierce sword strike that beckons the wind itself. The whirlwind generated by the swing can easily cut through stone and is large enough to wipe out three small buildings; boasting both its power and range. It is best used against fire as it will always turn it away from the user.
Memento Mori: Harvest Moon
This technique requires the user to hold the blade with two hands. It is a precise powerful horizontal slash that can cut even diamond within the range of 20m.
Lunar Eclipse Blade
A dual sword cross strike that utilizes both light and darkness. It is a swift and powerful technique that it exceptionally effective at breaking barriers. However, due to it's complexity and being a technique that is supposed to be performed by two swordsmen; it takes a lot out of the user.
