The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite and General Xenotime, both of whom are standing off to the sides to monitor.
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.
OOC RULES:
- You have 72 hours to complete the battle! If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact either Beejoux or kuropeco privately through AIM or PM!
THE MECHANICS
Each person roll 1d20 in their first post! The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person with HP remaining after someone gets to 0 is the winner!

[Sailor Dia - Spectator]
The Castle itself was frigid, but the excitement in the air kept the complaints at bay from all the spectators present. Well, from most of the spectators, at least.
Sailor Dia grumpily took her place among one of the many chairs circling the roped off arena. Hands were rubbing across her arms at every opportunity while her eyes scanned the crowd, in search of the particular fighter she'd come to watch.
She hadn't bothered to learn first aid, so Tourmaline better not get herself injured. She was willing to donate some of her old bandaids from the medicine cabinet at home (KittyKat would have the option of Barbie themed or Care Bears) but the only other thing she had to offer the woman was a hearty I told you not to do this If she should fail.
If she would win, though, that was a different story. If she won, Dia would congratulate her on her victory and pride herself on being the best cheerleader squad ever.
Pyro sat right next to Dia, with his jacket curled tightly around him.
"So who are you for?" Pyro added casually, keeping the mask firmly in place and only looking from the corner of the eye slits for it.
"That's my best friend out there." He jerked his head to the brunette corrupt.

[Sailor Dia - Spectator]
As the masked man claimed the seat next to hers, Dia did her best not to stare, though it was hard because the stranger was wearing a mask, for goodness' sake!
"Mmm." She murmured back nonchalantly as her gaze turned to the opponents. One leg rose and crossed over the other, giving a beautiful view of candy cane leggings. Which, as a matter of fact, were also cold. Everything about her was freezing - so much for having the cutest outfit out of anyone there if she was doomed to freeze to death in it!
Her arm casually lifted itself, wrist flicking up so that her finger trailed after the dark haired girl with pink tips. "The girl fighting your best friend. She's my best friend."
A hint of pride was in her voice, though that hint could very well turn sour in a moment's notice, should the dear Captain decide to fail at her task. Her focus then returned to the stranger, the senshi's intrigue now directed at him. "Though I can't say I've ever seen either of you around before now." Her head tilted and she finally gave him a smile. "Then again, I can't say I've been terribly attentive at the meetings either. I'm Dia."

Corrupt Haüyne of Execution
Tournaments were cool, right? The rank and file got practice without technically supposed to be dying (that was a joke right? That General was totally joking? They wouldn't just waste people down here for no better reason that jollies?), everyone got to engage in the machismo-style friend making of punching someone and then sports-a**-patting with a 'good game' to the winner as they moved on and losers got to visit the concession stand and watch the next poor sot get a black eye.
Aw man...is there a concession stand? I really could go for some hot dogs and fries right now. I wonder if this Tourmaline likes fries. There should be a concession stand. OH HAY. RIGHTO, FRIENDO- Looking around for who-what Tourmaline was produced, instead, some spectators to the show. Of which one was Bus. Haüyne beamed a grin and some jazz hands his way, and a wink and the pinkie-pie near him. Man, how awesome would it be if Bus and I could be the final. Well, we gotta get there first. Pinque must be here for Tournamentaline? I ain't met them before, and I doubt they'd just be like 'yo Corrupted pride' and wave a flag for me. But hey, makin' meets and droppin' names, yeah?
Tourmaline hadn't expected an audience, especially not after her conversation with Dia in regards to the tournament. The Senshi of Candy was convinced that there were other ways to go about proving one's worth-- Of course she was, having received special recognition from the Queen. Tourmaline, however, fresh to Captaincy and practically itching for a fight saw this as a much better way of gaining attention.
The young captain locked her fingers together as she stretched her arms out in front of her, rolling her shoulders in an attempt to loosen everything up as she let go. Her opponent was a senshi, one that she was unfamiliar with at that. "Magic..." she muttered beneath her breath, refusing to let the 'what ifs' of whatever his attack might do bother her.
Practice. Training. A fight against someone on your own side. That's all this is...
******** that, it was pride.
A better person might have paused to shake hands and offer best of luck prior to the start of the fight. Unfortunately for Haüyne, Captain Tourmaline had learned to play dirty and didn't seem to feel like being the 'better person' this time, instead lunging at him in an attack, claws out.
Captain - Sturdier leather gauntlets. + pointed metal fingertips & metal accents. Now good for scraping/scratching and backhanding.
- Magic Add On: A scratch from Tourmaline's 'claws' stings; more than just an average scratch would, this sting feels like burning (think hand sanitizer on a paper cut) around the location of the scratch and lasts for the duration of one post before the stinging sensation begins to fade.
He thought he had seen both the Corrupt and the Captain around, though they were another two that Aurostibite did not know on a more personal level. One, he knew, had been promoted recently, but further than that, he knew little. Still, he was observing all of the battles if he could, and this was no exception.
Still dressed down, sleeves pushed up to his elbows, Aurostibite folded his arms across his chest and stood just outside the ring, eyes narrowed slightly as he watched.
"HYATAtatatatatatatata!" The corrupted super danced back in surprise as the captain lunged, but totally as an afterthought of realising the fight was starting in earnest rather than involving any sort of bowing or indication of start from the Refs like might happen at a WWE, UFC or boxing match.
A blow straight in the face, and it BURNED. Haüyne flailed, managing nothing more deadly in a stumbling scramble than open-palmed slapping whatever part of the captain was nearest and available. While still stumbling backwards on gangly legs. And trying not to land on backside.
His flailing slap caught her in the face with a sound smack. Stunned, Captain Tourmaline reacted entirely on immediate childlike instinct and simply slapped back, open palm. "That hurt!"
Indeed it did, Captain Obvious. They were fighting. It was hardly supposed to tickle...
"So does Your Face-" Only it wasn't so cleverly delivered when one's own was snapping to the side from a likewise slap.
Oh jeez we look so fly, I bet. Generals are watching us, and we're slapping each other like it's Stooges time. C'mon, buck it up Self, yeah? We got an audience. If you're not gonna be a good example, make it entertaining. The corrupted didn't really go for a jab or grab or regular fighting sort of thing. Instead, Haüyne tried to step on one of Tourmaline's feet.

His foot landed on hers and she let out an indignant noise. He was scuffing her boot and making her look bad in front of people-- In front of Dia and a General and...
As she tried to yank her foot out from beneath his she stumbled back, tripping over the hem of her duster and going down hard. Her back hit the ground and she let out a hiss. She wanted to lie there for a moment, but that wasn't a good idea. The longer she remained still the more chance he had of getting a better attack off; the more likely he was to use magic.
Captain Tourmaline rolled over onto her side, trying to figure out where he was in order to either take a swipe at his legs with her claws or kick him or something...
When Tourmaline went down to the ground off balance it was a perfect opportunity- with so much contact to the ground, there'd be less maneuvering for dodging. And she was close. Close enough for those hunka hunka burning hands to claw defensively at one of the corrupted's legs above the boot.
It was probably the best opportunity for aiming that was going to happen.
"By the Sword!" Magic summoned, a sword of blood came to hand and Haüyne hucked it down at the Captain.

Sailor Scout Attack: By the Sword! How it Works. Sandrine drags two nails of one hand along the 'wrist' dagger of the other hand, then summons out from there a thin longsword of magical blood. Range. The sword acts as a projectile, throwing no more than 15 ft. Duration. Instantaneous (like magic missle) Damage Summary. The sword makes surface-wounds; it is not corporeal enough to be used to inflict stabbing wounds in any way. In the case of blows that are thin-skinned areas (like the neck), the 'surface area wound' only still applies! It leaves deeper wounds on an arm than it would at the neck or under an arm where it might become OP by cutting an artery. More severe damage is only allowable by other player's consent and preference. Weaknesses. It takes practice to aim the projectile, as it doesn't have the benefit of an aiming position like a bow. An enemy that blocks it with their weapon dispels it. Frequency of Usage. Twice a battle
Tourmaline brought her arm up to shield herself from the sword, least it cut across something less protected (any exposed area of skin or, heaven forbid, her face). The sword sliced through fabric and bit into skin. The pain should have made her panic. The sight of a sword should have made her want to scramble away.
It didn't. It only made her angry and anger sometimes lead to reckless.
She was clumsy as she sprang to her feet, launching herself at the senshi again. The idea was to take him down; knock Haüyne off of his feet to keep him from summoning that stupid sword again, if it was even possible. "No magic," she snarled, teeth clenched.
Not the ground! Grappling and ground arts were no part of anything good for really being able to aim any more magic. It was just too close to really be practical. Were those gloves the captain's weapon? Seemed kinda like it. They were really suited for close quarters and grapple, not needing more swinging room like a sword, an axe, a scythe, a club, a anything most of the officers that Haüyne had seen brought to the battlefield.
Through teeth, as the captain connected and they both when toppling to the floor, the super growled back, "I'll. not. when. you. don't. have. a. weapon!"
And tried to bite whatever was available- shoulder, arm, boob. Closest was the mostest.
