I think one of the announcement's in the main forum can be deleted, the thread label directory one. I don't think it is has ever been really followed, and to me at least seems unnecessary

I don't think it is has ever been really followed, and to me at least seems unnecessary I have to say I kinda agree on this one. Hardly anyone used those labels after we went to the trouble of making them. Most threads end up being under the random chat category anyhow. I don't think it will effect our Welcome + Guild Directory thread much, if at all. However, that thread does need some major clean up because of the changes we are making to the subs. A few of the banner links are no longer available. It's the banners Noirist commissioned. I'm not sure if we should try to contact her on her Tooticky account to get updated links, or just delete them.

Things Cel is taking care of: 1. Edits to the [Welcome + Guild Directory] Thread > add Barton Manor sub to important topics list has been fixed > edit names on Gold Leaf Plaza and Auditorium and descriptions as changes are made has been fixed
2. Rules for The Showcase subforum has been fixedInfo Cel needs to continue edits:1. Has the Cubicle been made public yet so I can do more editing in our [Welcome + Guild Directory] thread? (I need to edit it's accessibility status) has been fixed2. Are we keeping the names on the Auditorium and the Gold Leaf Plaza, or are those changing? I'll need the new names (if any) and a new purpose description for those threads before I can finish my edits to the [Welcome + Guild Directory]. Not trying to rush anyone. Just let me know when the changes are completed. has been fixed3. I also left two slots open in the first post of that thread in case we decide some other threads should be linked on highlight. Right now I'm not sure what threads would be good for those two slots. You'll see what I mean if you take a look at my edits. I'll take any suggestions under advisement. Opinion Needed:Do we really need the Absentee List anymore? I'm on the fence about that one. It was used for a while, but then it basically went dead. If members have to be gone for any length of time, they usually post a thread in the main forum or say something in the Chatterbox. A lot even post something in their personal status updates or profile. I don't want to delete something that people feel needs to stay. So, I am asking for opinions in this regard.Per Cree's input, I have removed the old Absentee List. If we need a list in the future, we can make a new one.

Cubicle has been made public. cat_3nodding I'll go see the edits you've made and go from there. I believe the Plaza was going to be named Barton Treehouse or something to that effect, we can discuss names with everyone. :3 I'll give it the proper name when we've decided; same goes for the Auditorium if we do change it. The slots that are left open can be used for any other occurring useful topics. As per the Absentee List; when Arc was running it, it was more to keep track of which Crew members were leaving, because at that time we had the divisions. Of course it was also for those in the guild who wanted to let others know. As you said though, it's really not needed so much anymore. If people are leaving, they'll make it know one way or another. So, bottom line, I think it can go.

Hot Caffeinated Cree The slots that are left open [regarding first post in Welcome + Guild Directory Announcement] can be used for any other occurring useful topics. I just had a thought. Perhaps the Barton Manor sub should fill one of those spaces? Since RO and our Manor world are central to BFAA, I think it would be appropriate. If people like the idea, then I will make that change myself.

Sounds good to me! :3 Perhaps the last one could have whatever we want to do for the "fanclubs etc" subforum. I do think the Barton Manor being a slot is a good idea though.

Yeah, and that was pretty much what I was aiming for when I mentioned having the Barton Treehouse replace the Plaza. One thing did just occur to me. The point of the new Treehouse is to have those fan club threads in one place so they don't take over the main forum. In the rules we need to state that there should only be ONE thread made per fandom. So i.e. one Sailor Moon thread, one DC/Marvel thread, etc. and not go branching off into threads for different multiverse aspect of the same base fandom. Does that make sense?

Yup, too many threads of one fandom could produce unnecessary clutter. I do advise there be a new set of rules regarding this. The exception is certain crossovers and Gaia NPC related groups, i.e. Ian & Rufus specific thread. I might even bring in my Dropplr thread, we'll see.

That is a good point Cree. The NPC's should be able to have their own threads. I'd actually like to see your Dropplr. I'm hoping someone will create a Louie fanthread.
Eeep! Remember how Chef made the joke about the Cae fansite in our RP? I would totally lol if someone made a Cae fanthread in the new Treehouse (or whatever we vote to call it) rofl
