How to Submit a Character
    Include their name, description and a brief history at the most basic level and submit directly the Character Archives.

    Further recommended information, includes strengths and weaknesses, personality traits, current relationships, skills and so on. There is no limit to the amount of information that can be given.

    We advise submitters to format their submission in a manner that would be easy to read and segmented.

    If this is your first time submitting a character sheet it is quite likely that you will begin as a 1st Year student in the Shinigami Academy without a Zanpakutou. Exceptions may be made for those that demonstrate exceptional creativity.

Esther O'Triss

Shinigami Age: 2 years · Apparent Age: 35 · Gender: Female

Description
    Esther has shoulder length teal coloured hair that she ties up and back into a bun although leaving a single bang on the left of her face covering a thin jagged scar that follows her jawline. Esther has distinctive large marine blue eyes with a noticeable rise on the outside corners and a dip towards the nose. She commonly paints her lips with a burgundy colour but not always.

    Esther is unusually tall for a woman measuring in at 6ft 4ins, yet maintains a slim albeit womanly figure, with a noticeable curve to both hips and bust, it is unknown precisely how much she weighs.

    Usually she can be found wearing patterned robes (a Tsukesage) a dark colour usually patterned with water lilies or chrysanthemums of a lighter shade of teal or a golden orange. A long sleeveless black haori depicting a three pairs of Red-backed Shrikes is frequently worn when Esther is outdoors. She rarely accessorizes but from time to time particularly in warm or wet weather she will take a parasol of some kind.

Biography
    Like many others before her, Esther had very few memories of the life she had before barely knowing how to communicate at all let alone her own name but this progressed over time as she encountered other stray souls, most of whom had not even managed to fully manifest themselves. She struggled initially with day to day life but found shelter not in the former ruins of Seireitei but an abandoned floating water boat on a lake quite some distance away. The boat that she liked to call the "Firefly" after the fireflies that commonly spawned nearby became her home the place that she returned to.

    Around twelve months after her arrival Esther began to get cramps, a feeling she was only barely familiar with and the urge to eat became almost overwhelming, but food was scarce and there were very few if any fish in the lake she discovered after many days of fishing. Instead she returned to the only remnants of civilization she recognized, Rukongai. Food was in very scarce supply but crops that were once tended yet now grew wild managed to sustain her enough so that she could figure out that the crops themselves had been intended to sustain people. The puzzle was paradoxical to her, she had not been hungry since she arrived and yet there was evidence of cultivation. What was more puzzling though was that she knew what 'cultivation' meant.

    Wandering the old streets, it wasn't long before she found the so called Stone of Penance and here her story begins.

The story so far
    Upon touching the "Stone of Penance" and studying the engravings upon it, Esther was overwhelmed with a surge of memories and images left behind by the criminal that was once kept in the White Towerᵃ. This in turn lead to her awakening, a knowledge of her self awareness of her current situation, this was the first time that Esther realized that she was dead and in the afterlife. During her awakening she also discovered a sense of purpose, the need to persevere and to that she needed to bring others together and begin to rebuildᵇ⁺ᶜ. Esther came to a decision that the best way to do this would be to gather those that had a sense of self and purpose together, to do this her first step would be to build somewhere that they could meet, Esther set about making this place by making a clearingᵈ.

Description

Shinobu stands at precisely 5' 7", she often pulls her hair into a ponytail but it is not unheard of for her to let it down, having a natural wave to it. Naturally her hair is black, but she often decorates it with shades of blue, glitter and other imaginative supplements.

Fascinated by ancient Chinese culture she often wears a Chinese dress of various colours though her most favourite is black and gold.

Unusually for a girl of her age, she smokes a pipe although what is in the pipe may not necessarily be tobacco. This pipe is long and ornate. Sometimes, when she is simply relaxing or day dreaming her pipe will produce bubbles instead of smoke, it is unclear why.

Biography

Shinobu remembers very little of her past life only that upon awaking one day, she was puffing her pipe while wearing a light summer furisode, something that she was drawn to rectify as soon as she was able to.

Having an interest in growing things, flowers, vegetables, tea... Shinobu spent more time being productive and gathering plants than anything else creating herself a small garden of things she liked to see, smell and taste. She hadn't felt hungry, but taste and flavour were important to her.
