Ryan wanders into the contest hall and sees the sign up sheet. "Hmm. which trio? " Ryan muses. It takes him a while, but he finally puts down Tank (Male, Torrent) : his Swampert, Corla (Female, Hustle) : his Corsola, and Aysu (Female,Water Absorb) : his Lapras. He felt confident with these three.

Leslie was quick behind RC, her team already written down on the sheet as she quickly put the information into a nearby computer for GRAY. "Alright. I got Church, Chulainn, and Michaelangelo. Should be diverse and interesting enough to create wonderful effects. Got a title to defend, after all." Leslie mumbled to herself, watching as the entry ballot disappeared into cyberspace for GRAY to read and interpret.

Odd entered the contest hall and approached the front desk, registering himself and his three Pokemon:
Name: Odd Pokemon: Lampent, Female, Flash Fire Froslass, Female, Snow Cloak Marowak, Male, Lightning Rod
With registration complete, he headed to the locker rooms to strategize for a moment. He already had an idea what he was going to do but needed to work on the choreography before he hit the stage.

"Will Odd , Ryan, and Leslie please take the stage!" An announcer declared over the intercom.
Once the pair made it to the stage they would be greeted by the host and one of the judges, Lisia. "Heeey! Looks like we got an adorable match up tonight! A semi-veteran known as Leslie, a spooky newcomer that goes by Odd, and an aquatic Pokemon expert all the way from the Orange Islands! Now, the rules are simple. You each will choose one Pokemon to dazzle us in the appeal round. You can only use three moves so make 'em count! You will then be scored on your appeal and whoever receives the higher score gets to act first in the battle round, allowing them an extra move. So what I'm saying is you really want to win the appeal!" She giggled.
"Okay, no more talk! Show us your appeal!" Lisia said, striking a pose before walking off the stage. Leslie, Odd, Ryan, you're up.

Leslie would step forward and snap her first Pokeball open, watching as her Porygon materialized into the air around her and began to slowly rotate its limbs. "Time to liven up the party, Church. Let's get a nice spread of Electrowebs." She commanded the Digital Pokemon, watching as a multitude of small webs sprang to life around the battlefield for her personal use, along with a much larger web that sat at the opposite end of the room from them. "Alright. Fire for the furthest web, aim for just above the middle. And make sure its really conductive." Watching as the Porygon restructured itself as she spoke, better enabling it to meet this required command, Leslie hoped that what she was planning would actually work. A second after the massive ball of electrical energy was released, the sound of arcing electricity ripping through the air and creating a note greeted her ear, quickly followed by a flurry of notes as electricity fired from the webs that had been set up and Zap Cannon ball that was currently blazing past the conductive webbing. Suspense hung in the air as a small burst of silence filled the air, the Zap Cannon quickly closing on the final web that Leslie had aimed at. "Signal Beam!" She cried, the flurry of pulsating lights triggering just as the Zap Cannon impacted the web and a similar sounding flurry of notes jolted through the air, the Zap Cannon blast bouncing between the strands to create a second line of music alongside the arcing bolts that were providing the first. What resulted was a small rave of techno music that sounded like a pure rush of adrenaline with lights to match such an idea.
Admiring her work as the visuals died down, Leslie would nod at the Porygon. "And that is why I trust the supercomputer Pokemon to do the calculating things to make stuff like that work."
The last notes of the piece of music would sharply cut off as shining gemstones ripped their way free from the wall, tearing through the Electrowebs and the Zap Cannon blast to hover in the air. "Announcing, a last minute entry!" A feminine voice announced, the staccato clack of heels drawing attention towards a darkened area of the room. Into the light would emerge a Carbink, nervously holding its outer shell as a strange woman stood nearby the Pokemon. "Thank you for the Power Gem, Carbuncle. Now, Gyro Ball!" She commanded, watching a ball of swirling, metallic shining energy built up in front of the Carbink before being fired into the swarm of Power Gems hovering in the air. The gemstones would quickly begin to drift towards the swirling mass, with the unlucky few who were close to it when they began being shredded by the powerful energies contained within it. Taking a moment, letting the majority of gems draw close in on the Gyro Ball, the woman shouted,"Moonblast!" A ray of pure, pink energy would erupt from the Carbink and slam into the Gyro Ball as the Power Gems were being powdered by the pure force. However, the blast would not punch through the Steel type attack, instead erupting around it and catching the remnants of the gemstones hanging in the air to refract the light of the attack. What emerged was a shining sky of a multitude of colors ranging from ruby reds to emerald greens, cast against a brilliant pink light with a swirling ball at the center that seemed to reflect and emit all of these colors, creating a radiant display of color and beauty.
Emerging into the light with a small flip of her pixie cut hair, Aria would show off her trademark smirk. "How was that for a reason to let me stay?" She said, her smirk growing toothy and giving a wink to the others who were waiting their turn. Might as well be a little cocky when she was done. Confidence was key, after all.

Ryan watches everything go down and chuckles, more so to ease his nerves than any level of amusement. But that didn't mean he was going to back down from his plan.
Ryan strolls onto stage, gourd still on his back. His outfit was serving as his contest outfit as well. He holds out his hand, pokeball in the middle. With a tap and a toss, it opens and Corla appears, in all her shiny blueness, landing on his opposite hand, as the other had snatched her pokeball and put it away. "Let's show them the flow of water, Corla!" Ryan says.
Ryan starts to form several bubbles in his free hand before tossing Corla skyward. He then launches the bubbles as well. " Alright Corla! Show them your sweet shot! Spike Cannon!" " Ryan calls out as he crosses the stage, readying to catch Corla. Corla aims one at a time with her head spikes and pops all the bubbles before landing safely in her trainer's arms.
Ryan sets Corla down and forms a big bubble with a smaller bubble inside. He shoves it skyward, spinning as it goes. "Alright Corla, time for a big shot! Pop both with Power Gem!" Ryan commands. Corla spins and then aims true, firing off the shining gem. It pops both bubbles, Ryan forcing the droplets from the bursting bubbles out with his channeling skills to enhance the effect.
Corla then dashes across the stage and faces Ryan. "And Now Corla will split water! Corla, Mirror Coat at will!" Ryan commands as he starts tossing Water Volley shots, a total of seven. Each on Corla would use Mirror Shot on as she dove into the attack, scattering the attacks.
Ryan would walk over to Corla, pick her up and transfer her to his right hand and then point out at the audience, Corla mimicking her trainer with her spikes. "And that is only a taste of what water can really do!" Ryan states before exiting the stage with his pokemon in tow.

Odd had sort-of watched the other contestants as they took the stage. He'd only cared enough to see what was being done by the others in order to be sure his own performance wouldn't be too similar. Once Ryan was done and the stage was "empty", he would rise up through the floor with his Lampent at his back. "Let us show the world the wonderful waltz of death, my love." He'd say to the Ghost-type. With the two would begin a heated dance, spinning, twisting and dipping where appropriate, all the while, Odd would block a Flame Burst from the Lampent with his Black Fabric, sending plumes of indigo flames up in whorls of black smoke and violet sparks.
Odd quietly whispered the incantation needed to summon his spirits as the duo danced, wisps appearing all around them and alighting the stage in an eerie blue-green light as the formless souls floated in place. As the dance drew near it's end, Adagio conjured an immense orb of crimson flames with her Inferno, sending it flying across the stage towards Odd, who blocked it with a convex wall of Black Fabric, causing it to explode and shower the Lampent with the raining embers, triggering her Flash Fire. The lamp-like spirit raced around the stage now, the various burning specters of their dance swirling around her as she drew the scattered flames in, looking like a fiery galaxy of crimson and indigo with her at it's center.
To finish off the performance, she raised her arms skyward, the flames swirling inward faster as she took their power and poured it into a black hole that swallowed up her beautiful universe in the form of a Shadow Ball, which she proceeded to hurl towards Odd. Rather than simply blocking it, he thrust his arms forward, palms outward and glowing with black light, the Soul Siphon stopping the powerful attack in it's tracks as the Channeler absorbed the energy within. It was gone in a flash, the channeler and his Pokemon standing side by side now, bowing to the crowd before they left the stage.

Aria would carefully march herself out into the battlefield, finger carefully tapping her side as she drew out her other two Pokeballs for this competition. Stretching out as she finally reached the other end, she casually snapped open her Pokeball and watched as her Pangoro popped into existence beside her. "It was either him or Hastur. And, to be frank, this seems like the idea that's more fun." Aria announced, right hand resting on her hip as she waited for her opponent to step out onto the field.

"Guess it's my turn to drop the Beat, huh?" Odd asked as he appeared on the "stage" once more, an Ultra Ball in hand. Tossing it up and down a time or two, he held it out and dropped it like a microphone, the device bursting open to reveal his aptly named Marowak, Beat.
"I considered bringing Rhythm but I think Beat will suffice here." He stated, preparing to battle. "Mind if we start off?" He'd ask. "I see this just being a wild, one time Fling." He said as he pointed to the Pangoro. Beat took the cue and wound up, charging his bone with dark energy before hurling it skyward, the energy trailing behind like a shadowy ribbon, twisting and twirling gracefully through the air as the bone rushed toward Pangoro's head in a lazy arc.
((I swear I thought I posted this before I left for work but found it still up when I got home. Sorry.))

Aria watched the flying bone coming towards Sogetsu, doing her best mental calculations for when to command the Pangoro. Watching as the projectile drifted within a few feet, she ordered her response. "Super Saiyan, Sogetsu!," came the cry that made the Dark type snap his arms into a cross guard in front of him. Letting out a bellowing roar of pure might and rage, a wave of chi visibly tore away from Sogetsu as his arms snapped out into a fight stance. The Flung bone would forcibly thrown back and away by the powerful wave of chi that had erupted, Quashing the attack before it could possibly hit and Working up the Fighting type.

Odd took in the impressive sight of the Pangoro as it used it's combination before calling for his own. "Beat. King's Knight takes Queen's rook. Go." He instructed. The Marowak was one of the few Pokemon he had had time to teach these kinda of combination code phrases to. Hopefully they would work in his favor.
Beat nodded and slammed his tail into the ground, sending a trail of dust forking around from behind him and racing towards Pangoro. The Earth Power would explode into the air once it reached it's intended target, concealing it for a moment and, hopefully, blinding it for a moment. All Pangoro, or the audience for that matter, would see as Beat dove into the dust cloud was a flash of blue-white light, followed by the dust cleaning with a "whoosh" ING sound. Beat now stood behind the Dark-type with a silver-blue sword of ice growing from his bone club, tinged golden from the dust trapped within. He'd used an Ice Beam hidden within the dust cloud, transforming his bone into a mighty sword, using it's frozen energy and weight in this form to deal more damage. The question was, had it hurt the Pangoro at all? He'd aimed for the torso, not wanting to cause an serious injuries and because it was the widest part of the bear's body.
Turning to face the Pangoro after the attack, he leveled his icy weapon at the Pokemon, the ice crumbling away to leave only his bare bone club in his hand.

As the Marowak turned around to face the Pangoro, he would notice something off with his weapon after the slash that had dragged across the Dark's type torso. It was Sogetsu's hand, clenched around the icy extension of the bone club. Swinging himself around and grabbing the bone club as the blade crumbled away, Aria gave her command. "Mountain Cresting Throw, Sogetsu!" She cried, watching as the Pangoro used what it had grabbed to begin spinning around with the Marowak, swirling up the Earth Power created dust into a dust storm. Attaining his top momentum, Sogetsu would hurl the Marowak into the sky before taking off after it with a loud bellow. Quickly reaching the peak of the toss, the Marowak would soon catch the Pangoro's massive fist, slamming the Ground type back earthward with a deafening crack.
Giving a nod of approval, Aria would look down to Odd. "It's amazing what a combo of Storm Throw and Sky Uppercut can create, huh?" She arrogantly told the Ghost channeler, watching to see what he might pull out next.

Odd wished he had a unique name for the combo he was about to use but, nonetheless it should be effective. "Beat, Belly Drum!" The Marowak, hit hard, admittedly, flipped over and belly flopped onto the stage, a sound like a large drum being struck echoing over the stage as he bounced off flipping over onto his feet. The impact from Pangoro's attack had sent him flying far faster than the bear was falling. "Now, Smack Down!" One good attack left after this so he better make it count.
Beat nodded to Odd's command, flipping his bone in the air as it gathered dust all around it. Taking aim, he hurled the bone skyward. It flew high above Pangoro before looping back around, dragging a small collection of hard stones forged by the collected dust. Once it hit, if it did, it would send the bear crashing into the stage similar to how he had done previously.
