Lixes was in a good mood... no, not good, great! He was in the best mood in the history of anyone in Andile since the beginning of Andile's existence! The one that he had to find now, to tell all about why he was happy was Drexl. His big, adorable brother just had to know what had happened! It was everything that Lixes had dreamed about ever since he was little... not that it was all that long ago but still, it was important. He searched around the place for a moment before he continued on, calling his brothers name.

It took him a moment before he finally found him and upon finally spotting him he gave an excited sound, rushing forward, and with a jump he was able to land on his taller brother's back, hanging off of him, "Drexl! Drexl! I did it! I got to be a hero! I saved a damsel in distress from a spider and bullies and brought her back safely to her mother!" He said, as he clung to his brother, giving a happy, squealing sound, kicking his feet in the air in an excited manner. He had always wanted to do heroic things and today he'd been able to do so by saving the girl that he'd found in a tree of all places. It was a surprise indeed, but a pleasant one since the girl was so cool and odd looking.

Giving a happy sound he hugged closer to his brother and said, "It was neat, the girl I saved, she was a youngling and she was half Matori and half Alkidike, isn't that crazy and cool?!"

Drexl at the time of his younger brother's celebration had actually been looking over something he was trying to fix. He had taken up an interest in repairing weapons. Just simple little things, mostly the old weapons his Father's no longer used. He took them to practice on and learn more about his heritage in the process. Any interesting little mark...or chip he would mark down and seek out a parent to get the story out of if they could recall it. As he was completely involved in his task the youth hardly heard his sibling. Once Lixes had latched onto him however the darker skinned twin would of hear an unmistakable girlish squeak exit his elder. Drexl trembled a little as he looked down at the younger.

"L-Li-Lixes! Don't do that! You know I'm called a 'nervous wreck' for good reason!" he whined before hearing the other's excitement. "Oh...great! Ah...half...Matori? Really? Oh, I bet she's the cutest little thing! Alk...ah. That means she's a little sister to us. Wonderful!" He wondered if he could perhaps meet her as well. Meeting another little sister of similar heritage would be a thrilling experience. Provided her Alk Mother didn't want to chase them off.

Lixes's mismatched eyes went a bit wide at the squeak that his brother made. It was something that had him starring for a moment before he hugged him more tightly, "You really are too cute, Drexl." He said, lifting one hand so that he could pet him on the head before letting go. He landed lightly on his feet, brushing himself off before grinning at his brother in a happy manner, "Huh, nervous wreck? Pft, I think you're going too far, you're just a little jumpy is all." He said, finding his big brother to be quite cute the way that he got his feather ruffled over Lixes jumping on him. It wasn't the first time that he'd done it, it wouldn't be the last, not when Drexl was taller which made the activity so much fun.

Giving a grin he nodded, "Yeah, half Matori!" He said, finding it quite neat since he'd never seen a member of the tribe before so he was pretty excited over that too. Clapping his hands together he said, "Yeah, she would be a little sister, huh? Cool, huh?" He wanted to introduce his brother... though he doubted that today would be a good day. The girl had gotten lost after all, picked on by bullies, and had a spider thrown on her. Maybe another day when it was calmer for the poor girl? Giving a smile he said, "I think we should see about having her join our adventure group... well, once she's older that is." It was too dangerous for her to come with them since the group was all prentice age boys and she was just a little youngling.

"So! What are you doing? Can I help? I'm quite heroic so I can save you from... whatever... too." He said, sort of trailing off at the end as he realized his brother might not need saving, though he'd still offer his 'heroic skills' just in case!

Drexl smiled at his younger brother. Really Lixes' want to help others to become a shining hero was a fantastic motivator. Though Drexl was growing a bit taller than his darker twin, it seemed like the smaller male's heart made him all the bigger. Giving a chuckle he nodded. "Yes. When its calmer for her. Lets see about having a few adventures with our little sister."

As he looked back down to the shield he was currently looking over. He shrugged. "I'm actually just looking over Dada's and Daddy's old weapons. Getting a feel for which one I wanna use when the time comes. Right now I'm just seeing what stories are behind them..."

He let his fingers ghost over a rather nasty nick. "It held up after this attack...just think. That attack...could of ended one of our parents, but because of this shield...their still here."

"Probably for the best, that or when she's older... whichever works out more favorably when it comes to her safety." Sure, he was going to be an amazing hero who protected everyone in is his adventure group but that didn't mean that he wanted to tempt fate. Best that they were prepared before they started to bring younger members into the adventure group. As in everyone else baring weapons kind of prepared, that way they could better protect people.

Leaning against his older, much taller brother he found himself looking over the weapons that his brother had gathered, seeming to be studying them? He blinked a couple times, then laughed as he commented on one of the nicks and said, "Well, it could have been either... though you know you don't have to worry about Daddy, he's told us a million times that he's pretty well immortal, that he even came back from the dead once. A little nick won't harm him." Now their Dad on the other hand, he hadn't made those same claims... not that he was worried, not with him being a giant that wielded a hammer that probably weighed as much as Lixes did.

Speaking of which he turned his attention to one of the hammers that Drexl had in his collection, his eyes lighting up, "I wonder..." Taking a step forward he took hold of the haft of the hammer, trying for what was probably the millionth time since he was born to lift it. It wasn't easy but this time at least he was able to lift it off the ground, "Look, look! A sure sign I'm getting stronger!" He declared a moment before dropping it to the ground once more.

Drexl laughed as he watched his sibling. Shaking his head he blinked before scrambling up. "Oh wait! Lixes I think you'll like this!" He lifted up a hammer, lighter than the others. "I think this was one of Dad's first hammers!"

He set the thing down in front of his brother with glee. "See! Its a bit worn, but I think it was. The wood's old on the handle so we might have to replace that, but when we get the okay you could most likely start off with this!"

Drexl smiled as he clasped his hands behind his back watching his sibling. Seeing something glint out of the corner of his eye the youth tilted his head. "Hmmm..." he walked over to shift a bow to the side. There laying innocently on the ground was a dull lance. He knew this to be the weapon of a Rider. The youth looked back to Lixes.

"Lix...are their any Riders in the family?" Lixes would remember that better than he would.

Lixes turned to look at his brother once he was forced by the sheer weight of the weapon to put down the large hammer that he'd been attempting to lift. He gave a bit of a grin and said, "Some day I will swing this thing around as though it weighs nothing at all!" He was confident and he felt that the path of the hero was at least made up of a few parts confidence along with varous parts skill, weapon knowledge, and good looks. The last one might only be due to stories he'd heard about 'handsome heroes' that rescued all the 'beautiful damsels' but it felt important. He and all of the bed time stories could easily be wrong though.

"Hmm... an older one, huh?" That might work he thought to himself, reaching out to test of the weight of it. It was easier to pick up though it didn't look nearly as dramatic since it was smaller over all. Not a bad thing since it was a starting weapon, but he was looking forward to swinging about something giantic one day!

He gave the smaller hammer a couple swings, careful of the part that was worn and needed replaced, "It could work." He said before looking over at his brother, "Huh? Riders? I... can't recall any, but that's a good thing! You can make your mark by being the first one in the family! I bet a certain white haired hybrid will swoon at the sight of you atop your mighty steed!" He nudged his brother playfully in the side as he said that before returning to swinging the hammer about.

Drexl blushed brightly. "A-ah...I dunno what your on about..." he glanced away fidgeting. His fingertips ghosting over the battered lance. He grasped it and stood. It was shorter than him so he figured it had to of been from one of his Father's younger days. He looked at his sibling. "Wanna do our usual run through the trees Dad set up as our training ground?"

It was a small cluster of trees their bulkier Father roped and set planks about. It acted as a good spot for the brothers to practice. Drexl knew Lixes was getting pretty flexible thanks to their time there. He wanted to see his little brother get even stronger.

Lixes gave a bright, toothy grin as his brother claimed that he didn't know what Lixes was talking about. He gave a laugh and said, "I'm sure you don't." He couldn't help but to laugh, finding his brother to be far too cute the way that he didn't want to brag. As though he wasn't aware of how cute Jerami was... not as though Lixes had any desire to go chasing after him. He wasn't the sort that would steal from his darling brother, not when he loved him so much! Naw, if he ever wanted to find himself a significant other he'd do so on himself instead of stealing.

"Sure! Let's go run some laps!" He said, catching hold of Drexl's hand so that he could drag him along toward where their father set things up for them. He was eager to get theri, wanting nothing more then to get some more 'heroic' training in so that he could go rescue more damsels... or whatever one would call a boy damsel. Upon reaching the trees he then let go of Drexl, "Let's go! One... two... three!" Once he called out three he was racing forward for the trees, heading up into them as quickly as he could. It was this sort of training that had allowed him to be ready for what he'd done today meaning that it was definitely training he would have to keep up on. On top of that it was fun to play such games with his big brother.

Drexl laughed at his sibling. Racing after him he watched the other count down. Typically he gave him a silent three second head start before darting forward. The bigger male with his longer legs easily overtook the smaller. Drexl always picked a different route. Leaping off several planks as if he was hopping. He grabbed a branch hauling himself up and over. Chuckling at Lixes he called out. "Beat you~"

He then leaped onto another nearby branch. Swinging up into the tree he sat with his back against the trunk. Maybe one day he would bring Jerami up here. Course he'd hold him to keep the other from worrying about falling. It was just an idea. He looked around for Lixes. "Ne, Lix...think Dad would ever let us leave? He's pretty protective."

Lixes found himself, not for the first time, a bit envious of Drexl's size. It was likely he'd end up the size of their bigger Dad one day, and Lixes could only hope that he was able to catch up with him at some point... though he had a feeling he might end up on the shorter side. Taller maybe then their earthling Dad but not as tall as the other one. He supposed that they'd see one day soon. Even if Drexl remained taller he supposed he'd just have to get faster so he could keep up. Today wouldn't be the day he was able to do that though as his brother called down to him that he'd beat him.

"Already? Wow! Those long limbs of yours are amazing, Drexl!" Lixes called up to his brother before he continued ever upwards until he was able to join him. Once there he stretched out all over, arms crossing behind his head, and he gave him a lopsided smile, "Seems you won again... damn. Well, maybe I will get you next time." Something that he said nearly every time they raced be it on the ground, in the trees, and anywhere else a race started.

"Huh?" He tailed his head back, a thoughtful look on his face, before he shrugged and sat down next to his brother, "Hard to say. I know that he wants to look after us, keep us safe, so the odds of us leaving when we aren't armed and trained are probably next to nil. Just means we have to work hard!"

Drexl nodded in agreement. Watching the clouds for a little while longer his forehead creased with a thought. "Lixes..." he looked over at his brother. Knowing what made them different. What made him different than his siblings. He looked like he was going to say something but closed his mouth to look away. As if ashamed he ever thought it. "...nothing."

He let out a long sigh after that. Watching the clouds and letting his mind wander.

Lixes looked over at his brother as Drexl said his name, waiting for him reply... but nothing came. Instead his brother fell quiet saying 'nothing' instead of actually continuing with the thought. Shifting himself so that he could face his brother he starred at him for a long moment, head cocked to one side, before he moved to crawl forward, "What? I am sure that it isn't nothing, Drexl, or else you wouldn't have started."

He leaned in looking him over, then said, "Well... if you don't want to tell me then I will be forced to guess. Let's see... you want to tell me that you're getting married to Jerami because you got him pregnant? No, no... you've decided that you want to be a dancer instead of a rider? Naw, you're going to share clothes with Jerami?" He guessed the more out landish things that he could think of, both wanting to tease Drexl a bit as well as see if he couldn't get him to smile with his wild theories. If they were crazy enough maybe he'd laugh? Or better yet he'd actually say what was on his mind?

Drexl blinked..What? What?!? WHAT?!? He flailed. "No to all three...thought that first one is a possibility because he's more Alk than we are....BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!" he said a little too loudly to keep his brother from teasing him further. He blushed as he looked away. "Its foolish...but its something I always think about..."

He looked up at Lixes. "Why is it I'm the one who sticks out like a sore thumb? You and Inali...everyone can see your twins. I hear the whispers...your both the handsome ones. Dad's caramel skin complements the Alk markings Aisha granted us....but...me..." he shifted to sit on the branch. Holding out his arm next to his sibling. The contrast made his eyes darken. "...I know. I look like Daddy's kid...I'm proud of that...but...sometimes...I hear them say that..." he lowered his arm. "I don't belong. Your my brothers...I'm suppose to belong with you and Inali...yet...."

He shifted back to lean against the trunk. "Words hurt. The only thing we have in common is the color of our crystals...that's it...are triplets suppose to look similar? Why am I the different one?"

Lixes couldn't help but to laugh at the look on his brother's face as he denied all of Lixes's suggestions and declared that the 'first one' wasn't even possible. It was something that had him grinning before he said, "Really? So you know that for certain from experience, do you, Dreeeexl?" He really was cute, wasn't he? Though it also seemed as though something was weighing on his mind, something 'always' thought about. It had Lixes leaning forward so that he could listen closely.

"Eh?" The one that stuck out like a sore thumb? He was about to scold his brother for that, feeling that it was silly for him to claim such a thing when all three of them looked rather different. Of course the real source of his anxiety came forth a moment later as he spoke of how others were making him feel bad. Were they actually claiming such silly things? Lixes gave a smile as he reached out to ruffle Drexl's hair, purposefully making a mess of it, "You know that they are probably just jealous. You're tall, handsome, and have one of the prettiest people in town on your arm all the time. They are just being spiteful and you should try to ignore such petty people."

Lounging back on the branches of the tree he lifted a foot to nudge at his brother in the midsection, "You should take a step back and look at the three of us, none of us really look the same. Aisha was bored that day and decided to paint us all up differently since she had a lot of colors to work with. I'm sure it's nothing more then that."
