The youth had been told of the odd serpents and other beasts from the island by his Uncle. Thinking it over the youth recalled rumors he had started to hear about merchants bringing these creatures to the mainland. His curiosity getting the best of him he wanted to find what these creatures looked like exactly. Walking into a small market he had his arms crossed as he looked around. The wind youth wasn't a fool half of the merchants here looked shady while the other half looked spineless. He huffed shortly, then paused recalling Bisera pretty much was going to be a merchant....of sorts. He had to start reevaluating his position on merchants. Wouldn't do to think of a friend as "shady" or "spineless" now would it?
He sighed in defeat. Nope. Not at all. Bisera was his friend now and---he stopped then stared at the creature on display. That...was that a living crystal? The male was entranced for a moment before noticing that it was being agitated. Oh...this was not--he flinched as the beast snapped at the hand of the merchant before escaping. Well. He sighed...that was a thing. He flinched as a few females shrieked in fear. Giving them a sideways glance he was glad he had no real interest in them. They seemed...worthless. At least to his mind at the moment. They were to keep the home, nothing more. He quickly acted.
Darting after the poor creature he had to slip under a cart and another stall before he spotted it. Leaping over a crate he landed eyes locked on the beast. He crept forward silently. Mind slipping into his hunter mode. He darted forward quickly. Snatching the creature from the ground and gripping the base of what he thought to be its skull. Walking back to the merchant Xarn leveled a glare to the male.
"Try not to be so foolish. Agitate the creature it will rebel. Best you figure out its personality before poking it. I have no need for this poor thing. Find it a proper home." With that he dropped the beast into the cage he was pointed to. Walking away as quickly as he could. He wanted to see Bisera. Maybe teach him a few simple meals he could make tonight to test his skills.
Thinking back to the feeling of the creature in his hand. Xarn could tell that such a beast had power in its small body. He glanced back to the merchant, mentally deciding that he should seek out such a creature for his own use. It was small enough to hide in his clothes, he could train it to slip into his sleeve with a simple signal. Such as a snap or a hand movement. It would serve as a good intimidation method that was for sure. He stopped for a moment. Would Bisera get frightened by such a creature...most likely not. It looked like a living crystal. Chances were...the youth would want to make a necklace in honor of it or something. Xarn couldn't help the chuckle that escaped him. Bisera was certainly providing him with plenty to think about.
