Rules Please only post when the title states a class is open. You may enter only two students per stage at a time! Look below to see which activity is available for your character, and pick the appropriate activity for your student's stage. Do not claim growth points for your student until the class is over and Rain has quoted you stating you have passed. Should you do the assignment incorrectly I will quote you to correct it, and if it is not corrected before the class ends your character will get a failing grade. Please do not post in this thread beyond turning in your activity, homework, or rping turning in said activity or homework. If you have questions please PM me, and if you want to rp between students please create a separate thread in the roleplay subforum for that.

Class Activity
Juniors:
3 Ingredient Challenge!
She waited for everyone to take their seats, grinning widely at the head of the class. This activity was normally a good introduction to cooking more than just prepackaged stuff. Simple, fun, and sometimes quite messy. But that was part of the responsibility of cooking; cleaning up. When the chime sounded for class to begin, she clapped her hands loudly to gain their attention and paced in front of her students.
"Okay everyone, we're actually going to be doing some cooking today. There's a catch though, because of course there is. Whatever it is you decide to make, it can only have three ingredients, total. That's it. It can be any sort of meal, or snack even, but you just get those three ingredients. You can find a recipe or make up your own. After you've decided what to make and have gotten it approved by me, go ahead and use one of the stations in the back of the class. If your recipe requires cutting or heating, I'll be assisting, or at least watching while you work. Please feel free to ask for help or ask questions."
What your student needs to do: This activity is done in two parts, the first is picking a recipe or making one and getting it approved. The second part is actually attempting to make it. So you will be posting twice for this activity. Part 1
Use the form below. Link your recipe. If you don't have one, please describe what it is, how to make it, and if you like you can even provide a picture (either of your own making or google-fu). Your rp response doesn't need to be long, but should be them deciding what they want to make, and approaching Sokeri for approval.
Part 2
After you post the first part, I will respond to your quote in character. If your recipe requires cutting or heating, I will have Sokeri stand watch or even offer assistance. If not, she'll just give you the nod to go ahead. You will then be asked to write an rp response of about a paragraph of your student attempting to make their 3-ingredient project. You can include the result, how they feel about it, and the like They may share with the class, and/or take leftovers home afterwards to share or keep. Any rp other than the class activity should be done in it's own rp thread however.

The Cake Mistake
This was a fun one, and she smiled as her class settled in. Each table already had a cloth covering it as well as a rectangular pan. The pans were covered with wrap at the moment, to protect the sheet cakes already baked and cooled in each one. Each table had a different flavor, and some made it a point to switch tables to a more preferred taste. She gave them a few minutes even after the bell to settle in before getting everyone's attention.
"Today is going to be fun. Fun and messy. Very, very messy."
At this point she walked up to the first table, unwrapped the pan, and shook out the sheet cake from a decent height. It hit the covered table and split from the force, crumbling.
"After everyone washes their hands, each table is going to destroy their cake. And with the crumbles, you're going to make something else. The cakes are large enough that each person at the table should have enough to try something on their own, but you're free to work in partners or even teams of three if you prefer.
The idea here is to come up with a way to salvage a ruined cake by making it into something else entirely. Good luck, and have fun!"
What your student needs to do: Use the form below when turning in this activity, rolling a d4 as you post. The d4 is only used to indicate how well the project turned out for that individual. You will not be graded on it. The higher the number, the better the result or the more your student liked it. Each student must post their own form, regardless if they're working with someone else. You are welcome to refer to each other in your post. However, you're only posting once. Feel free to make a private rp thread if you want to continue after you've completed the activity here. If you forget your roll, please don't delete your first post. Just post again with your roll. You may link a recipe or come up with your own. If you come up with your own please describe your concoction, or even draw it, as well as explain the steps to make it. Your rp entry should be at least a few lines.
Hint: If you feel lost or confused, google "How to salvage a ruined cake" and look at all the creative things you can do with a cake that's fallen apart!

Hailey had taken her seat in the new class, interested in learning about cooking. Granted she couldn't really do much with that in her and Khai's current dorm set-up, but she always loved food and wanted to learn more about it. And as the new teacher talked about the fact they were getting down to planning a dinner, the part about making it for a significant other really stuck out to her. Hmmm... What kind of stuff could she make for Khai? She pondered this as she gathered up a good few magazines and took them back to her seat. She couldn't help grinning at the fact that she was going to get to cut stuff up, even if it wasn't cooking right away.
Their dinner plan:
Drink: fizzum raspberries
Appetizer: stuffed cherry peppers
First course: tossed veggies and cheese in dressing
Main course: veggie, potato, and barley soup
Dessert: chocolate-dipped, nut covered bananas
Homework response (why they chose this meal plan): Hailey was inspired to make a meal for a loved one. That loved one being her new boyfriend/old best friend. He doesn't like to eat meat if he can help it since he is an animal lover, so she tried picking things that looked super yummy without an animal face attached to them for him.
RP response of them turning the work in: It had been quite the task at hand in trying to find dishes that she thought were completely Khai friendly that she would also enjoy herself. She was a total meatasuarus, but he avoided the stuff as much as he possibly could. That was something that made picking out places to get a bite to eat difficult sometimes. Her nose twitched as she flipped, pondered, and cut out pictures of foods. Surprisingly enough, she had finally managed to find things that Khai would like, and was certain she'd actually eat, too!... for it mostly being a bunch of veggies. Compiling her picture together, then scribbling up some notes, she finally felt happy about her dinner plan. Oh course she made sure to snitch out all the recipes for the pictures if they were there to be had, stuffing them in her backpack before getting up to turn in her assignment. "Here you go!" she announced, quite pleased with herself as she handed it to her teacher.
Ruddi sat there almost wiggling in excitement to cookies today. She decides to pick something pretty simple, but up the game a little bit. So she picked a sugar cookie recipe that also had cake mix in it. This shouldn't be too hard! Ruddi quickly got to work looking back and forth between the recipe and all the ingredients that she managed to grab after wiggling past a few other students. After a little while she had them all lined up on the pan in various shapes and color swirls. The oven was set with a another's already in there, but happily put it in there anyway. Ruddi waits six minutes before taking them out.
They came out way better than Ruddi expected them to be. they smelled nice, but hey for her first time it was pretty awesome. She tries one of the orange ones and it was a little chewy, but still tasty! Maybe five minutes would have made them softer...hm...she'll look into it later. Ruddi then stows one or two cookies in her pocket to eat later at Celebrations. She hopes the rest of the class likes the cookies almost as much as she does.
Student's Name: Eveilyn Link to the Recipe they'll be attempting:Here RP response: Eveilyn looked over her recipe a few times before gathering everything together. She supposed cooking was just another kind of art so it couldn’t be too bad could it? Even so she picked a pretty easy looking recipe. The only trouble was she could never seem to find what she wanted in the little kitchens how she would have organized it was different from the ‘standard’ so that annoyed her a bit. Still she forged onward with task working quickly and quietly compared to some of the other noises in the room that made her wonder just what was going on. At one point she turned her head and watched as another student masterfully put everything together like they were a top chief in a kitchen. By mistake Eveilyn added double amount of vanilla extract she needed for her cookies. She never even noticed until she took the first bite of her cookies when they were all done and she almost spit it out. Her cookies were edible but she wouldn’t call them good per say.

Three magazines later, the solar Fey decided to make Chocolate Chip Potato Chip cookies. She gathered all of the ingredients and prepped her work space, being very mindful of the oven and her delicate flower. About half an hour later, Rose very carefully removed her cookies from the oven, letting them cool for another five minutes before removing a gooey treat and nibbling a bit. It was ...
SPECTACULAR! Gods above, she had never tasted anything so delicious! She polished off two of her cookies before setting the rest on a plate (it was a good thing the recipe made 18 cookies!). "Hey everyone! My Chocolate Chip Potato Chip cookies came out really well! I made some extra, if you want to try some~" Rose set the plate down on the end of her work space as she cleaned up the rest of it, congratulating herself on a job well done.
Student's Name: Bibiana Bibi's eyes practically sparkled as she listened to the instructor. This would be so much fun!! Her brain was already whirling with the possibilities. She took a small stack of five magazines for herself to look through to get ideas. She didn't really have a lot of friends yet, but she was definitely working on making some! Maybe a party would be a good way to get started. As she looked through the magazines, she ripped out pictures of foods she thought looked really good and giggled softly at the noise it made. Once she'd finished going through the magazines, she spread out her pictures to decide what she wanted. There was a lot of pictures and it was really hard to narrow it down... She finally ended up picking out things she could make a nine course meal with. Okay so maybe this wouldn't be the right kind of party for making new friends. But it was definitely something she could work up to! Their dinner plan:

Homework response (why they chose this meal plan): Bibi is a very friendly geist, and wants to learn how to cook so she can have lots of parties and dinners for her friends because food is something that everyone can bond over. She's always wanted to try cooking a formal meal, and just hasn't had the chance to yet. So this meal (or something similar) will be her new goal!
RP response of them turning the work in: Bibi had had a lot of fun looking through the magazines and choosing her favorite foods. It also wasn't a lie that she had fun gluing them to her paper. Once she was finished and happy with the way it looked, she handed it in with a bright smile. And now she hoped lunch would come soon....

You Passed!
Sokeri allowed those that had already finished and cleaned up to pack up early, nodding her approval to each of them. Not all the cookies came out perfectly, but it was a learning experience, and with anything it takes practice. The important thing is they all enjoyed themselves and learned, and were rather mature about it, even sharing among the fellow students. She was glad to have them each in her class. "Good job everyone. If you've already finished turning your work in and your station's clean, you may head out! See you all later, and enjoy the Solstice!"

Student's Name: Tempest Recipe:Peach Triffle RP response:Tempest listened to Miss Hehkua's instructions and looked at the cake in front of her. She had made a point to trade to a table with angel food cake, one of her favorites. They had to tear this cake up and take some to make something, she tapped her chin a moment deciding what to do. Then it came to her, it was a recipe she'd read about and wanted to try but hadn't had the chance to yet. With a smile Tempest quickly found a glass bowl and took her share of the angel food cake before moving to find the rest of the ingredients she'd need. She found the yogurt first, then the peaches and a lemon.
Having gathered everything she needed she pulled some of the cake out and put it aside, she cut up the peaches and put them in a second bowl squeezing the lemon juice to add and mix with the slices. After that she took some of them and blended them up and put that in a third bowl and mixed in the yogurt and grated some of the lemon's rind over that to make the zest, when those were mixed up she set it aside. Tempest turned back to the main bowl and spooned half of the remaining peach slices over the cake, and poured half of the yogurt mix over that, and then repeated the layers a second time using up the last of the cake, peaches and yogurt. She turned the bowl a couple times and as a last moment thought fetched one more small peach and sliced it to decorate the top of the dessert before calling it done.
The elf smiled and cleaned up her mess and called her project done and felt ready to share it.
Conan was a bit surprised when the first their his teacher did in class was dump a cake out on a table and watch it fall to pieces. At first he had assumed they[d be decorating the cake, something he wasn't entirely great at himself. He was definitely more interested in the assignment once he learned what they'd be doing. The cake in front of him was a strawberry one, he dumped it out on the table for them all to split up and than took his pieces, crumbling them even more and creating lakes of cake bits and whipped cream. He stuck some cute up pieces of strawberry in the middle as well as one perfect piece on top. Than he proceeded to ad some crumbs of chocolate for decoration and taste as well.
Since there was so much cake to go around and his recipe was fairly small in side he was able to make extras and enjoyed one for himself after cleaning up. Ah yes, he was sure Miss Hehkua would approve.

It doesn't affect passing, he'll pass anyway, but it was meant to help give some direction to the rp section if needed, and since it's in the rules if you wouldn't mind just quoting your post with a d4 roll <3 (You can edit the rp to it if you like, but you don't have to.)
I'm surprised no one went for cake pops, that's what I make when a cake crumbles on me xD

The mess was always well worth the creative process, and seeing the kids dig in was always fun. Amused, she nodded to everyone, walking around and helping with clean up.
