tab While its official entrance is still above ground, much of the labs and tanks have long sunk into the earth, breaking out into the circle of water that surrounds the village. Some of the Aquarium's lab equipment appears to still be working; a few lights remain on, others occaisonally flicker, and the sounds of machine whirring deep below maintain a constant humm about the place. Occaisonally, what sounds like a sudden stream of water being vented through the submerged building occurs.
tab The entrance is a dome-shaped lobby, the remains of historical exhibits crumbling under the rot and vines of the marshy land. Going further in reveals breaks in the halls and a severe tilt down into the earth. Water has flooded most of the layout, with only a few display areas and labs remaining elevated enough or saved by a miraculous pocket of air from being submerged. Reaching these areas means swimming through the surprisingly clean and clear water, navigating the maze of halls and broken tanks.

tab There are several dozen species living inside, and just outside, the aquarium. They realise it is a delicate ecosystem, as the aqaurium offers them something in the water that is not natturally produced anywhere nearby for them to thrive so well. As such, any damage to the building triggers highly aggressive behaviour in the fish living there.
tab Using chakra attracts a black fish that will attach its sucker-mouth to the user and gently feed. Their tiny size and slow consumption means they often go unnoticed for some time. Unlike leeches, they do not swell in size while feeding and will naturally detach themselves when the victim begins heading to surface from the water. Forcibly removing the fish leaves behind their tiny, connical teeth, meaning the victim will continue leaking chakra until properly cared to.

_______________The Narrator Whispers... ||
For what seemed like eternity, but at the same time no time at all, you floated in darkness. You can vaguely recall yourself, who you were, and what you were, as if a voice had guided you along that path to remembrance, but the voice itself faded away like it had never existed to begin with. All is at peace, at rest in the comforting embrace of the abyss, until a crack splits the air, resounding in the nothingness. With it came light and humidity as it slowly spider-webbed outward. Then it shattered altogether and you were released from your prison, where you fell to the damp earth, strength not immediately returning to your limbs. This weakness would only last a brief moment before you were filled with energy that could have kept you going for what felt like days, fulling rested and at your prime.

You are in a building of some sort, an inch or two of water covering the moss- and mud-covered tile. Doors leading to what looks like the outside world rest to your back, long broken from their hinges, leaving them to lean cockeyed against their frames. From it, you can hear rain falling, and the occasional boom of thunder rattles the dome-like ceiling. What looks like it may have been displays of some sort lay scattered around the large room, ransacked or decayed with age, and three hallways lead in each of the remaining cardinal directions. From where you stand, it looks that all three dip down sharply, likely filled with significantly more water than the lobby-like area holds.

There are times when no words can describe something. The beauty of the first blossom in spring for instance. Though in this case, it was more like the abyss of death. Floating into the afterlife unable to move or breath but aware of his existence. As struggled thoughts turned to memories, he tried to think. "Am I dead? If I am dead what killed me? Did I at least take any of them with me, or was my death shameful." The volume of his thoughts continued to escalate in quick succession. Would Amegakure endure? Would his father be able to continue? Would his successor be capable? Though despite the myriad of questions the young man was quick to accept facts for what they were. After all he was clearly dead and floating in the after life. There was no panic, no hatred, only questions and acceptance. After all what would that do? He was already dead. No point whining about it now.

For what seemed to be the longest time, he simply floated in the ether accepting the fate that had befallen him. Until the sound of something akin to the crack of thunder split the darkness. As the split grew he could see light, feel humidity, and most importantly, breath air. How could he breath if he was dead? While he was about to ponder that question it was eliminated entirely by the complete destruction of the abyss throwing him back into the world of the living. All at once his senses awoke. The feel of the cold water on his face, the sound of metal scales hitting the floor under him. The sight of the water which now covered a full two inches of the left side of his face. The sound of thunder splitting the sky. With slowed and weakened movements he brought his legs up under him and knelt on his hands and knees.

With his body finally responding to his commands he sat onto his rear and looked about the room. There were clear and evident signs this place was in disrepair and abandoned. But it did not answer the question of where he was. He clearly wasn't in the palace anymore. Though the rain did make him question as to if he was still in Amegakure somewhere."Great, no idea where I am at, or how I got here. But silver lining, not dead." Rising to his feet he slowly stood up testing the strength of his legs and their stability under him. Though as he looked down it quickly dawned on him that he was not only fully clothed, but fully armed and armored. While it wasnt the armor his father had made him or the weapons that were also made for him, he could identify them."Well at least I wont go down again without a fight."

Despite your awareness of the armor and arms you carried, nothing appeared to be threatening in the immediate area. However, closer inspection of your surroundings reveal the inside of this building to be almost a swamp. The occasional tree grew at odd angles in its search for light, and little beyond moss and algae decorated the flooded floor, except for those few places where the light--or in this case, rain--did touch the ground, where a variety of flowering plants thrived. There were even plants as recognizable as a dandelion that seemed to have adapted to life in water. Toward one of the halls, where the ground began to dip downward, although it was too dark to make out much detail, shadows of small fish could be seen. And now that the shattering of crystal, shards of which lay in great amounts around you, the sound of frogs croaking became quite prominent. For the moment, everything seemed... normal.

Without threats in the immediate vicinity, Ika took stock of what he had on, and around him. While the supplies would last him at least a week or two if rationed carefully, he knew that they would not last forever. He would need to setup properly. In his mind he fell back into his education, war, politics, tactics, and strategies. "Turn the world into a chessboard and everything will become much clearer." Those were the words of his combat instructor and words he carried to heart. But the problem was, this wasn't exactly chess anymore this was real life. Tapping his palm against his head he spoke finally,"Come on man think." Unknown location, unknown enemy, no support or backup, and no base. Sure it was textbook guerilla warfare but that was the thing he sucked at the most. Why could it not be defensive tactics, he excelled at those. Letting out a sigh he paced back and forth trying to figure out what to do next. What move to make in this game.

Though the crunching of the crystal fragments under his boots was preventing any deep thought. So frustrated he picked up a piece and chucked it down the hallway which dipped downwards. Though the original motivation was frustration the shapes in the water did catch his eye as he released the stone. If there was fish, there was dinner~

Evidently, the crystal chunk you threw hit one of the shadows in the water, and after a moment, a twitching fish floated to the surface. In the meanwhile, the other shadows scattered, frightened away by the suddenness of the 'attack'. The water around them calmed after a moment, and always quiet once more.

Watching the crystal shard pierce the fish brought an idea to his mind. While he had plenty of food for consumption, what he didn't have was food to use as bait, or to barter with. Surely he couldn't be the only person alive, yet the building looked quite old. The odds of that were astronomical. But the train of thought brought with it a perplexing question. What to do now? He was the heir to Amegakure. He had a responsibility to uphold, but what if his land, the country he loved so dearly didn't exist anymore?

Shaking his head he stepped forward into the water to retrieve his fish. With it squarely in his hand he pulled the shard out and bit his lip a bit as he studied it. It was sharp and would probably serve as an excellent knife. The wounds on the fish confirmed this as the entry and exit wounds were both clean cuts. Though as he squeezed the fish it slipped through his fingers and hit the water. Before he could catch it however he noticed that it had been swept up in the current. Now that he was aware of it he could feel it pulling on his legs, though the sheer weight of the armor prevented him from being pulled under.

If there was a current, there was a drain, if it dipped down it would have to drain into a point lower then this. It was certainly worth investigating but for now he had s**t to do. Taking a deep breath he waded back out of the water and over to where the crystals were. Carefully picking up which pieces he could find and stuffing them into one of the small pouches on his backpack he shouldered the weight,"Thank you forced marches."

For the first time since waking up he poked his head out into the rain and looked up at the sky to examine the clouds. While the thunderstorm raged he judged it was not too bad to travel. So sticking to any treeline he could he headed out, for higher ground or any kind of view. ~

[Just providing some information on exit, and Lan will post for you in the next location when he's off this evening.]

The trees, thankfully, were beginning to overrun the building you were in, so reaching the treeline didn't take much time at all. However, the sky above, though still pouring water no longer cracked with the sound of thunder. Or at the very least when it did it was in the distance. It seemed the storm was moving on. Outside the building, you find the old remnants of a sign missing most of its letters: AQ--R-UM was all you could make out. But upon reaching slightly higher ground, you found yourself facing what might have once been a lake was now caked with mud, and at its center, a massive tree. It must have stood somewhere between five hundred and a thousand feet above the mud, and its boughs stretched over the majority of the lake basin. If you had any knowledge of the Shinobi countries, it wasn't too hard to connect the dots that this was the great Sero tree that made up the majority of Kirigakure after an unknown event occurred there that caused it to grow literally overnight. If you were looking for high ground, it was certainly the best place to go to get a better view of your surroundings.

Her eyes were closed, her mind remaining at peace as she floated which could be noted as the middle of nowhere. Once the crack within the atmosphere shattered, and the bending light found it's way inside, had the females ocean blue eyes begin to slowly awaken, opening ever so slowly. In the next few seconds, it all fell apart and forced the girl to exit the darkness of the nothingness and return to the Earth, her body feeling like she was ever so tired, like she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep despite remaining in that entirety of darkness. Her senses were slowly returning to her very core of her own existence, as well as her energy was soon enough returned, the energy needed to get through the hardships of the day soon found its way back into her immune system, the feeling greatly appreciated.

Jenna rubbed at her eyes, peering around as she hovered one hand to shield against the suns bright rays. She'd glance around, wondering where she even was. This location..did not ring a bell or look vaguely familiar in the least. The real question was..where should she go? There was water on the outer edges, taking that to assume this was some sort of aquarium. Well, at least she liked aquariums! Walking around some, she decided to sight see and hope to figure it out where exactly she was. Surely, it didn't feel like home, or remind her. How did she even get here, was an even bigger question to wonder to herself. Maybe a little looksy around would help to relieve her memories..

Looking around did not help Jenna's recollection any as her brain was being fried from going from complete sensory deprivation to sensory overload. From the floor Jenna could hear the sound of the lake's waves lapping on a nearby beach, dripping water landing in a pool of water and the pinging and hum of a fluorescent bulb flickering on and off. The smell was not pleasant either, wet dog, damp were the prevailing smells and breezes from outside giving small reprieve of fresh air. The grounds is cold, damp, where there is no moss the tiles are slick with moisture and where there is moss the damp intensified to being soggy. Finally focusing her eyesight not much else revealed itself from her immediate perception of the environment though out of the corner of her eye she caught a crab scuttling out of view.

Walking idly, venturing forth Jenna chose a door and tried it. It was unlocked and opening it was easy for Jenna's strength, despite her deceptive frame, as rust on the hinges cracked and crumbled to the floor. Inside was the ruined remains of a gift shop, without the natural light outside this room was much darker than the previous, the smell of damp intensifying in this room, nothing paper based had survived in this room as they had all turned to mush a long time ago. There were rows of shelves in various conditions, some were fully intact others shelves had fallen off on one end and others had completely collapsed. Observing the shelves Jenna assumed she found the smell of the damp as sodden, plushies were what lay on the shelves along with some smaller plastic toys. To her far right was the checkout counter, the till still there bolted down but it was not functioning and behind that was a door with what paint remained spelling 'STAFF ONLY'. On the opposite side was an open archway leading out to what seemed like the aquarium proper.

As Jenna considered her options she felt a strange sensation in her mind as a sensation similar to a brain freeze happened before a Voice appeared in Jenna's grey matter. The sensation that led to it was unpleasant but the voice was a soothing deep baritone threatening to break into a bassy rumble at a moments notice,

"Child.... Child.... Find me... In the depths..."

❤︎ ; The investigation for information continued further, though not one recall would make way, and Jenna was left feeling more lost than a puppy lost in a crowded street corner. Her hearing eventually picked up on waves hitting against the sand, her attention adverting to wherever this ocean she could clearly hear was. It was like a soothing melody to her ears, relaxing and quite pleasant. Resting wasn't going to answer any questions, but it sure would feel nice to take a small break. Sniffling her nose some to try in breathe in some nice crisp air, only ended up wrinkling her nose in utter disgust. The smell was dreadful, she was expecting something sweet, but ended up being quite displeased. The ground too was quite gross, but she didn't let it sway her, plus she did have shoes on protecting her feet. Jenna watched a random crab darting away, her attention watching as if picking up on the smallest of details. Shouldn't the crab be out on the beach? Why was it inside the aquarium, did it break free?

Continuing the search, she soon came upon a door leading to god knows where. This whole place was mysterious, maybe if she went sight seeing a bit more, something would strike her memory and better explain how she even ended up here. The door didn't require much strength at all, it seemed to open with relative ease, as Jenna opened it slowly, peeking inside rather cautiously. She'd stumble a bit inside the room, it looked like this could be the aquariums cute little gift shop. It looked to be run down legit hundreds of years ago with all the abandoned things, but that wouldn't be possible. Just where in the hell was she? She'd hold her nose, that nasty smell only getting stronger with every sniff and movement, it was so bad she wanted to just rip her dang nose off, or at least not be able to smell at all. The whole place looked like it was falling apart, crumbling into it's own nonexistence. It was quite saddening for her to see, it looked like such an adorable and fun place to sit back and relax. Searching over one of the shelves, Jenna's nose seemed to have picked up on the source of the scent, some old cute looking plushies and toys! Was this place underwater, - or is it still?

She noticed the cash register within the checkout table, peeking around and trying to find any money in the till, but it was highly unlikely considering the condition it was in. Any leftover money would of been turned into dirt by this point. Glancing left, another door would be there, labeled only for staff to enter. Part of her had the need to explore and check out what was left in that door, although she stalled, something felt oddly strange. Her head suddenly felt hard as she grasped onto it with her hand, a somewhat cold feeling hitting her. It distracted her from the door and her plan to explore, there was a voice speaking out soon enough. But where did it come from? Jenna glanced around, trying to look for whomever this person was who was calling out to her.
"Hello? Where are you??" Jenna would question aloud, hoping this sudden stranger heard her. Maybe this voice could help tell her where exactly she was, but what exactly did they mean by find them in the depths? She desperately searched, searching every end hall of the store, even moving to look outside and find wherever the voice was echoing from. "Hello?? Do you know where we are???" She tried to call out to the random voice, hoping they heard and would be able to help, a hopeful plea standing strong.

Jenna would indeed confirm that there is indeed no paper money but there is a few Ryo still sitting in the tray. If she decides to pocket it there is in total of seven Ryo left in the till.

In response to Jenna's the cold sharp brain pain intensified greater than before as a flashing and flickering image was forced into her mind. Jenna was shown a dark corridor lit only by a red emergency light and at the end was a rusty watertight bulkhead door labelled 'Bathysphere'.

When Jenna regained her senses she could feel blood flowing from her nose not a torrent but a steady flow. She would only be given a moments reprieve before the cold mental pain returned but not as intense before.

"Child... Find me... In the void... Find me..." Answered the bass baritone voice shaking the neurons in Jenna's brain.

❤︎ ; Looking through the tilt, Jenna dug around it for any form of money, the place was obviously run down, it's not like anyone was going to mind or claim money should there be any left over. Her face however lit up upon discovering some Ryu, she reached her hand out to pocket the money happily, sure it wasn't much, but should be enough for a nice meal. That left her to question, don't the owners usually take all the Ryu from the tilt when they go out of business? They wouldn't leave any behind, what really happened here? She glanced around wanting answer, but falling short of learning nothing, not in the moment at least. During the process of wondering what exactly happened here, Jenna jolted to clutch tightly onto her head with her hands, falling slightly to her knees. There was a sharp pain in her head, it felt horrific and she could only hope this pain would pass fast enough. Like a memory flowing into her mind, a image popped into her vision during this painful process, a red light was at the end of the hall, which screamed so strangely to her. Upon seeing much of the hall, a door would appear with a name she tried to memorize what meant. Bathysphere? Isn't that like a submarine? Jenna would think to herself, however the answer still wasn't coming clear enough to her, she needed to see more clues.

Eventually, the pain subsided and she removed her tight grip of her hands from her head while standing back up, wondering what it was she had just seen. Was there something trying to tell her what happened here? Maybe whomever was doing that was asking for help, and that might be the only way. She needed to understand what was happening, taking in every detail, minor or not. So first clues first, a red light and a door with probably a submarine by the sounds of it. That wasn't enough pieces to complete the puzzle, but it was a good and solid start. That feeling of sharp head pain soon returned, but not as painful. Still, Jenna clutched her head with small whimpers, begging herself to make it stop, whatever it was as her eyes shut some. Her ears would pick up that same voice, her eyes popping open and looking around to figure out where exactly it was coming from, but no one was there.
"W-wait! Ill come, but-but where are you??" Jenna questioned the voice, running off to find the voice, trying to follow the voice and would only move further should it echo louder.

As Jenna rushed out of the gift shop into the aquarium proper she left behind the damp smell of the sodden plushies for the open room and fresher air. This room had a much higher ceiling than the other, a wall slanting away from Jenna to the left covered in a cracking painted underwater mural which leads to a double set of dual glass doors surrounded by glass panes giving the illusion of the room being more open. The glass was all mostly shattered, allowing a slight breeze to flow through from outside. Almost to Jenna's direct front was a aquarium tank about two floor , it is murky inside and the glass is covered in some form of algae.
To Jenna's right is more open space that has tables and chairs scattered around notifying the remnants of a restaurant or cafe with another long wide window facing the outside. Looking further right is a set of stairs leading upwards and almost next to Jenna on the right is a closed door.

As Jenna explored the voice returned, "...Long time... You have returned..."
