THE NURSE'S OFFICE Try not to get hurt, alright? The real nurse is never around, and the intern isn't really interested in your cuts and scrapes. Now if it's a broken bone, that might be a little more fun to poke at. But he still can't help you. You're better off going to the hospital. Really, the only good thing about this place are the beds. Feel free to skip class here. The intern'll write you a note. It's not his problem if you fail high school.
Leo yawned and kicked up his feet on top of the nurse's desk. Three hours into his latest game of Dota and the real nurse still hasn't shown up.Useless lady...Not that it really mattered. School was only just beginning. How much trouble could the young 'ins get up to?
=== What day is this..? or at least it felt like it had been days for Yusei as he wandered up and down the halls of the gigantic school. He felt disgusted in himself that he had been wandering around for the past twenty minutes, looking for classes and wondering where things were. The only things he should've cared about was his dorm, the cafeteria, the art room and the coziest spots where he could lay on the grass and not be bothered with. Thinking back to how he had promised his mother, before he left for the new school year, on how he should explore the school some more, and get active and become more social. Honestly, to Yusei, this was more work than waking up and going into the shower.
With the biggest of sighs, he rounded another corner, almost dropping to his knees in happiness when he saw the sign that indicated the nurses room. If this wasn't a sign from heaven, he wouldn't have known what was. There is one thing you should know about Yusei Sato, he's a lump. The biggest potato you would ever meet. The only things he's only good at, is sleeping for days without needing to wake up, ever. It's become quite a fascination to medical science as to how he can sleep for long period of times. In a couple of quick strides, the six foot boy made his way into the nurses office, hoping it would be some sort of cute blonde or ginger, with massive tits, and bifocals waiting to greet him. Opening the door, all hopes fell out of Yusei as he saw a giant, gross man, hunched over a computer, playing what sounded like a game to Yusei."There goes that dream..."he thought, as he did a slight eye roll, and made his way over to one of the cotton lined medical beds. "I'm sick, don't feel good, I have a stomach, or whatever. Just let me sleep. Kay Thanks." covering himself, he snuggled into the scratchy fabric and closed his eyes as he attempted to fall asleep.

Tatsuya looked down at the girl who had fallen seeing as how she still hadn't gotten up. He stood over her and looked around, seeing some of the glances from other students giving him a look as if they were judging him for pushing the poor girl down. He sighed heavily as he bent down to grab her glasses that had been knocked off. He held them out for her to take and then stood up. 'There. If anybody asks, I helped her.' He thought as he stared down at her. They both made eye contact before she looked away. He saw the faintest bit of red color her cheeks. He took a step back as she bent down to grab her schedule on the ground and all he could think about was lecturing her on litering but before he opened his mouth to say something she was already apologizing. He stuck a hand into his pocket and leaned his weight on his right foot. The way that she was speaking made it seem as though she came from a very prominent family and he immediately began to think of the staff that came from higher statuses.
The girl spoke some more and introduced herself as Salt. 'Weird name.' A lot of what she was saying was going over his head. He groaned a bit as he looked away and ran his hand through his hair. He only looked back at her when he realized that she was wiping off some blood from her knees. 'I didn't hurt her that bad, did I?' He asked himself, trying to figure out just how powerful this girl really was. He knew that there were some humans going to the school but she didn't look all too frail. He must have been losing his touch because he didn't think that he had bumped into her that hard. He shook his head. It was definitely going to look bad if a staff member had injured a student and wasn't doing anything to help. 'Oh, I know.' He came up with the idea to just take her to the Nurses' office. 'That's what people do when they get injured, right?' "Hey." He said but stopped whenever she stared at him as though she were truly worried about something. He heard her ask him if she had hurt him anywhere and he furrowed his eyebrows together. "Are you for real?" He asked in a tone of disbelief before bending down to swoop her off of her feet bridal style. ""Please don't panic or I'll just drop you. I'm taking you to the Nurses' office." He said, immediately thinking of his co-worker, and intern, Leo. He was sure that the male wasn't too busy to deal with some scrapes.
Wordlessly, Tatsuya took her to the Nurses' office. If she asked him any sort of questions, Tatsuya didn't answer them. He walked right into the office and went straight towards the beds. He was going to set the girl on the first bed that he saw but he noticed that there was already a male student lazily lounging on it. He frowned and just pulled another bed closer to him so that he didn't have to walk any further. He set the girl down and looked over at Leo. "Get to work." He said, completely forgetting that he, himself, was also able to heal. The only catch to Tatsuya doing the healing spell was that he had to use his own energy to compensate.

Strong arms suddenly lifted her up into their embrace, and Salt could only let out a squeak of protest when this stranger did. "I-It's okay- I can walk..." Her protest seemed to go on deaf ears. She didn't even know who this man was, let alone why he'd decided to pick her up without request. He seemed very confused when she'd asked whether or not she hurt him. It was a clear and honest question, Salt didn't understand how it could have come off a queer or as if something you should question. Her heart dropped into her stomach when she realized he might've asked that because it might've been obvious that she hurt him.
Biting her lip to not say too much and seem annoying or obnoxious, she gave a simple nod to the man when he announced he would take her to the nurse's office. Salt made sure to make a mental map of the school as he carried her to her destination, not wanting to get lost again and appear a bother to others.
When they arrived at the sterile white office, Salt squinted slightly at the fluorescent bright lights, nodding silently when the man set her down very gently on the infirmary bed. "Thank you very much, sir! You didn't have to do that..." The young woman clasped her hands in front of her, deciding her next words. She bowed her head in respect to him. "I'm sorry, but I never appeared to ask your name. It's very nice to meet you. Thank you for your aid." Salt smiled at him, but the bright moment of clarity was interrupted when she accidentally moved her knee to graze against the cold steel bedframe, making her wince. She dabbed her silken handerchief on her knees worriedly, but still turned to her acquaintance. "I'm very sorry, again, for bumping into you, sir."
Salt assessed the situation and began to feel quite guilty for taking up another's person's time to be brought to the nurse's office for a simple scrape of her knees. She clearly saw that there was someone laying down, probably not feeling well. Salt was beginning to think herself a nuisance. She turned her attention to the male doctor in the room, seeing as how he did not seem very much concerned for the people in room. She wondered if it was a sign of his confidence and how he knew he would be able to take care of his patients. The naive thought made her smile warmly.

xxxx Tsuki didn't have to enter the front gates as she has lived here for quite awhile. Well since 6 to be exact. She was finally going to be a freshman. However she had started to feel sick and wanted to make sure everything was okay. Humming to herself she traced her hand along the wall a bit to make sure she was headed in the right direction after leaving her dorm, before entering the nurse's office. Being blind she wasn't sure who was in here or how many. Let alone how far away they were. Though she didn't really look blind unless you took a close look. She gave a small smile at who might be in there before speaking up gently. Hello~ I'm here for my daily check up. My headaches have calmed down and the medicine worked that you gave me. Though..I still don't like medicine. Tsuki hummed and swayed on her feet a bit. She expected the female voice she was used to that had such beautiful yet calm colors. She knew she had Synesthesia but thought of it as an ability. I mean in a way it made life more interesting. Though it was painful at times
"Spoke too soon," he muttered under his breath as he heard someone approach. Well it's not like he was just gonna stop playing. You can't save in Dota. Remember that.
"I'm sick, don't feel good, I have a stomach, or whatever. Just let me sleep. Kay Thanks." Leo grunted in response, not tearing his eyes from the screen. Only a little more. "Come on!" A final series of rapid clicking and typing brought the game to an end, with Leo as the victor. Hey, sitting around a nurse's office all summer was boring. It was this or counting the pills in all the medicine bottles. He got good at one of those, and it definitely wasn't the pill counting. (It doesn't help that the damn janitor kept knocking things over when he got into "cleaning" mode.)
Closing out of the game, Leo glanced over at the kid in the bed. Another one of those types, he thought to himself, scanning the desk for a paper and pen. Just as he was reaching for a scrap in the recycle bin beside him, another pair walked into the office. "Damn, it's been maybe an hour since kids were allowed on campus. You're beating them up already?" He commented as Tatsuya put the girl on the second bed (only after nearly dropping her on the other student). A cursory glance told him all he needed to know about what was up. "Get to work." Leo clicked his tongue at the older staff member and swiveled his chair back to face the desk. "Don't be hasty, old man. Where's my good morning?" Grabbing a pen from the cup in front of him and paper from the recyle bin, he quickly scribbled out an excuse note for the kid in bed. "Give that to your homeroom teacher when you're done," he called out, throwing the wadded-up ball of paper at the sleeping figure.
"Now let's see what the old man did," Leo said, kicking his feet so that the chair would roll over to the girl patient person. Man, if his med school professor saw him right now. Hah, but I guess that's why I came here, he thought, coming to a stop in front of one of the cabinets. "I'm Leo, by the way. Mr. Deiderick is my dad, so try not to call me that," he said, rifling through an assortment of medical supplies. With what he wanted in hand, Leo kicked the door closed and rolled over in front of the girl. "You'll feel a slight sting," he said, taking an alcohol-doused cotton swab and pressing one against each knee. With swift hands, he slapped on some ointment and a bandage on top. "Wow, that was so fun," he said, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Do you want a sticker for being a good girl?" Rolling backwards, he kicked his feet up on the black stools and looked at Tatsuya. "Try not to maim the students," he commented. "I mean, unless you rip an arm off or something. That'd be fun."
"Hello~ I'm here for my daily check up. My headaches have calmed down and the medicine worked that you gave me. Though..I still don't like medicine."
"Great, another one," he muttered, tilting his head back so that he could see behind him. She was young, probably a high school student, and he had no intention of getting arrested over a child. Nope. No thank you. And thus, no inspiration to keep a nice facade. "Sorry, the nurse isn't here," he said. "But if you were given medicine, then it doesn't matter if you like it or not. I mean, unless you don't want to get better...?" Lifting his head, Leo turned his chair to look at the blue-haired girl properly. One glance at her eyes told him that she was most definitely blind. I guess I should've gone over the student profiles like she told me, he thought, glancing over at the impsing stack of papers. So. Much. Reading. But it's not like he could leave her hanging. He still needed them references. "I'm not sure when the normal nurse is coming back, so you'll be stuck with me. Find an empty bed. Or an occupied one, if that's what you're into," he added, nodding to the pair of beds everyone was already congregated around.

..."Oh, no, it's surely not his fault. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings, and we bumped into one another and I fell, resulting in my abrasion. Thank you for your care, mister Leo." Salt smiled and softly declined his offer for a 'sticker'.
"Stickers are awfully pretty. Though, I would suggest you leave them for the school children. I suppose they would appreciate them more." Leo's sarcastic remark went completely over her head, and she simply regarded it as any other comment. However, the young girl was awfully curious as to how Leo and her helper here knew on another. Leo referred to him as, 'old man.' The title made some sense, being that her friend has pale white hair. In contrast to the name, however, that still seemed to be far from the truth. Bright eyes accented by clear skin and a youthful gait followed him. He did not seem old in the slight bit. Then, it hit Salt.
This school was one in which supernatural beings frequented. Beings that ranged from nightly creatures to changelings, and everything encompassed by such spectrum. That meant any number of students could've looked much older than their appearance let on. Salt hypothesized this was the case with her acquaintance, possibly even the male doctor who treated her scraped knee, and maybe her room-mate, too. Salt had just thought about the fact that she still needed to get to her room, and that her things had been misplaced as well.
The entrance of a new individual in the room made Salt smile and bow her head in respect to the person, not realizing and taking into account that they might've been blind. Instead, Salt turned to her friend.

First things first I'm the realist Tatsuya needed to make sure that this girl wasn't in pain. Normally he would have been freaking out on bringing those students that had been sucked into Hell's door back to campus but this wasn't the first time that he's had to go through the door's trouble and knew that it would normally return the students so he would have nothing to worry about. Besides, this school was mainly about survival, right? Tatsuya was sure that they were going to be all right. He wouldn't want to openly go and search for the students out in Hell whenever his time wasn't even up yet, anyway. That was just too much work. For now, Tatsuya tended to just deal with whoever was in front of him which was why he had even stayed with Salt in the first place. As he had stood near the front entrance waiting for students to come up to him, he noticed that none of them openly walked right up to him but around him like he was some sort of statue which was fine with him seeing as how he didn't have to move or help anybody. It was just his luck that the troublesome door appeared and he ran right into Salt. Just thinking about it now made him shake his head in disapproval. For a bodyguard he sure was becomming lazy.
Tatsuya glanced over at Salt, lazily, as she thanked him. He probably would have said something but he had was just too tired having woken up earlier than usual compared to these last Summer days. 'Now you're just making up excuses not to talk to her.' He looked away and watched as the intern nurse, Leo, finished up his game and made his way over towards the duo. Tatsuya rolled his eyes at the comments Leo had been throwing at him. He would be sure to get back at him later by rearranging some things. "I didn't beat her up, I accidentally ran over her. Another one of Lucinda's doors appeared at the front entrance and I lost my footing." He informed his colleague. He moved out of the male's way and leaned against the edge of the bed. "It's Tatsuya. I'm the custodian here." Normally he would've teased her and start to work on some sort of prank but he'd been out of the loop recently. Whenever he had started working here he had been all boisterious laughter and pranks but now he was sort of like the school's ninja, disappearing and reappearing in the rarest moments. Last year some of the students even started to play a game in which whoever saw the White Dragon won some sort of lame bet.
While Leo began to work on the girl's knees, Tatsuya moved his gaze over to the student that laid on the bed beside them. He recognized the boy as being one of the sloths of the school. The guy was literally a potato, just idling by. Kind of maddening especially since Tatsuya would have loved to be able to just lie around all day but nooo, he just had to follow one of the most powerful dragons to school and beg for a job here so that he could watch over them. How unlucky it was that he ended up with the mere janitor's job. After much consideration, though, being a janitor wasn't really all that bad. It normally kept him busy, though, and just last year he had been promoted (or demoted, depending on where you stand) to dorm supervisor for the college building. He very much disliked the students at the school because they were so damn lazy at throwing things into the trash can but he would much rather watch over adults than children. He figured that since they were of adult age then they wouldn't need to be reminded to throw away their trash and pick up after themselves. Whelp. Nope. Most students still acted like babies. Like Tatsuya was some sort of mother. He was fine with it most days but like before, he's grown a bit accustomed to it that he barely realizes it more than just a job now.
Taking a glance at the clock that hung in the room, Tatsuya stared at Leo as the male gave him a suggestion on not to harm the students. "If they deserve it then it's coming though I'm hoping we won't have to go through another one of those ordeals any more." He replied, referring to the time that he had to step in and basically burn more than half of a student's body because he had gone too far in showing off and ended up feeding into his dark side. Tatsuya seriously thought that he was definitely going to get fired this time for harming another one of the school's students but he was actually congratulated for saving multiple students. That was what led to the decision on him becomming the dorm supervisor for the college students.
Tatsuya looked towards the door even before a girl walked through them, recognizing her as one of the blind students. As far as he knew she was one that was completely blind and not half-blind like the dumb human, Lassiter. This girl wasn't one of the ones that got into trouble a lot so he hadn't heard much about her other than the fact that she was able to use sounds to be able to see. Well, something like that, Tatsuya still didn't completely understand what it was that she was doing but whatever it was she was doing great because she didn't even require a cane to walk around with. He sighed and looked down at Salt as Leo started to deal with the blind girl. "Weren't you looking for the dorms?" He asked her as he took a step back from the bed. He had his hand out towards her in case she needed the assistance. "Or did you want to continue sitting here?" If she didn't need him any further then he would just have to go back outside and do something about that door if nobody has done anything but he could continue guiding her if she really needed the help. It was a slow day today and would continue to be until classes actually started.
xxxx Tsuki held her head for a moment as bursts of images and colors and shapes showed in her head at the different voices that spoke. At the one who had addressed her it was a bit gruff and most definitely a male. She smiled a bit more murmuring to herself then to anyone. Three people? She tilted her head with a smile. Soothing...blue and green...circle..valley She had hummed a bit as she had heard the kinder male voice that of maybe a gentleman though with a hint of sarcasm? She also sensed something hidden there. He seemed to be addressing another person. By how he talked possibly female? Though why did that voice sound so familiar. She had seen the colors before. Though she could not quite place her finger on it quite yet. Hearing Leo she had exceptionally hearing so she had let out a giggle finally realizing what he had muttered earlier and understood why she saw a squiggly crimson square. As he continued to speak she could place where he was about and her smile only grew. Your voice...the words. Like a dormant volcano that might explode at any time. It rumbles. It's nice She listened to what else he had said. She was interested on what he looked like and without much thinking she walked to where she placed the voice and lifted her hands as if she were about to feel him but then stopped and put her hands down. Is your hair red? Oh I'm fine standing. I didn't plan to stay long though I might now just to talk to you. I like meeting new people. Uhm...May I touch you? I'm curious what you look like. I can't actually see I'm as blind as a bat~ She giggled at her poor joke but she thought it was quite funny. She didn't answer about the medicine part for he was right she didn't like being sick but she saw the positive of it. Like she was able to study in her room.
The man was really interesting. From his voice he seemed not to care about much and there were other images she got from him. Lots of reds and yellows. A couple numbers here and there. Though she didn't pay much attention to the numbers. She was excited to meet the others here as well. Each was always unique.

Tatsuya. Salt whispered it softly as if to taste how it felt on her lips. She hummed sweetly and smiled. “That’s of Japanese origin, isn’t it? Though, the meaning of the name itself changes depending on the Kanji, if I recall correctly. It’s a lovely name.” Her smile brightened and she let out a cute giggle, blinking in surprise when Tatsuya mentioned the real reason as to why they met. She was lost and needed to get to her dorm. Which dorm was it, again?
Like a machine, gears turning in her head, she repeated what she remembered. “Ashwood dorm 401. Yes, that’s where I was trying to head when I found myself loosing my way. Could you please lead me there, Tatsuya?” Salt got up and dusted herself off, fitting her handkerchief back in her pocket when she suddenly panicked. “Oh, no!” She shook her head in worry. “My belongings! Did I leave them at the front entrance? Oh dear, Tatsuya I have to go get them.” The young girl tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and adjusted her glasses, just as the young, milky eyed girl began to speak. Salt noticed her grey slate eyes but did not want to make any assumptions, as that would be a mode of faciality.
Salt approached Leo and curtsied to him politely. “Thank you very much, doctor. Please have a nice day.” She smiled and then approached the pale girl, repeating the action. “How do you do. Please pardon me, I seem to have misplaced my things. Have a nice day.”
Hobbling over to the door, Salt gave a small hop of urgency. “I’m also curious as to the details of that mysterious door. Maybe we could investigate further?”

The girl just seem to be some sort of encyclopedia. She knew a lot about random facts. It surprised him that she had so much knowledge in that tiny little body. He was beginning to wonder if she truly was a human. He knew that there were quite a lot of beings, mainly vampires, who often would use their long life span and immortality to learn up about the world because they were bored of everything else. Maybe she was the same sort? He couldn't smell anything out of the ordinary off of her and the only scent that he got from her was of a human but one could never tell. These days, as the abnormal beings are widely being accepted into society, supernatural races have even started to live with humans like an orphan to their foster family. Such things would have been unheard of in the past but the normal people are much more acepting than they were. He remembered when the humans tried to kill him and his mother after finding out that they were dragons saying that they were insane and probably have dealt their souls to gypsies or witches. It was truly sad because he and his other had been living in that town for almost a year and had grown to know some of those people personally yet they were the first ones to turn their back against them because they were afraid of being outcasted with the rest of the town.
Salt responded to him by telling her what she was looking for and he nodded. "Ashwood isn't too far from here. Let's get a move on." He told her. It never seemed as though she could just answer with a simple 'yes' or 'no' but it had to be lengthy. He would have to be careful with what he said to her or he'd get some sort of monologue back. He didn't want to bring up her choice of speech because it would be considered rude and he knew that he wouldn't have to deal with her much longer. He was beginning to feel sorry for her roommate who would have to listen to her long replies for the rest of the school year.
Taking a step towards the door and away from the blind girl and the intern nurse, Tatsuya stood and turned towards Salt whenever she exclaimed that she had left her stuff at the front entrance. He looked up towards the ceiling to try to remember the scene and he then remembered that he really just picked her up and left the scene. He wondered if someone could have taken her things. That would mean that they would have to go to the lost and found and go pick up her things. "Whoops." He said, opening the door. He felt really stupid then. This was what happened whenever someone didn't pay attention to their surroundings really well. Already, he was failing the students at being the guard at this school.
As Salt walked out of the door she had mentioned investigating the door at the front entrance. He frowned, remembering that he would have to do something about it before it took more students. He groaned as he raised a hand to run through his hair. He really didn't think that he'd have to work so much today and now he was already behind. He probably even had to go and change the trash cans now because there was a s**t ton of students at the school already. "I will go and investigate the door. You will stay out of it. I can't have more students going missing." He told her. Any more and he was certain that his a** would be on the line. No matter if he had just gotten promoted. They had tons of people on staff and probably would gladly replace him if needed. He needed to do well to keep his reputation so that he could continue working at this school to watch over the dragon heir.
"We'll go back towards the front entrance and if it's not there, we'll go to the lost and found before the dorm. Sound good?" He asked, looking down at her. 'She's really short.'

“But Tatsuya…” Her voice was small. “What if you got hurt?” She looked up at him with glimmering eyes, a deep frown on her porcelain features. Even if she didn’t know this man very well. Even if she didn’t know his age, or his background, likes or dislikes, he now meant something to her. He helped her in her time of need when he could have very easily left her to fend for her own. He didn’t. He picked her up and made sure she was alright, going even as far as allowing her to trail after him at his offer to show him around. It was Salt’s naïve and kind nature that kept her from realizing this man was probably only doing his job, and could really care less about her. However lonely people find hope in the smallest things; anything to latch onto.
As they left the Nurse’s office, Salt made sure to stick close to the man, having to arch her head up quite a few degrees to simply meet his eyes. She pouted at her shortness, adjusting her scarf and glasses as if it would someone make up for how much of a child she looked like next to him. In a self-proclaiming manner, she said softly, “I’m a college freshman, so, so,” Salt looked down at her feet as they walked, fiddling anxiously with her fingers. “-so you don’t have to treat me like a child or anything…” The young woman bit her lip querulously and looked at the halls they passed, recalling how they were taking the same path as before.
“Tatsuya…Might I ask more about yourself?”
Her gaze was now focused on staring straight in front of her, fighting back an embarrassed blush that threatened to overcome her cheeks. She put her hands in her coat pockets, shoving her flushed cheeks into the nook of her scarf. “For instance, are you student or faculty? Perhaps, even, your species? I know a lot of information about the several specie…” Salt attempted to offer him a shy smile, but at her looking up at him, she tripped on her feet and hit one of the wall crevices, squeaking in pain. Salt rubbed her nose and laughed softly, giving him an awkward thumbs up. “I’m alright, I promise. “Let’s just keep going.” She rubbed her scarlet nose and continued walking on, paying more attention to her surroundings. However, the crimson tint on her cheeks never left.

=== ******** you serious right now..? It literally had to be a curse, or a demon lord of sorts. If he would've just stayed in his room and slept the day away, ignoring classes, teachers and everything else in life, he wouldn't be in the situation he was in now.
It started with the stupid clicking, it sounded like a chicken tweeking out on weed. He wouldn't have minded it if it wasn't so excessive, along with the banging of the keys. The sound of the squeaky wheels from the chair rolling around on the floor with every movement he made. If that wasn't enough, then came apparently a duo. From the sound of it, it was a teacher and a student. Apparently the male had attacked the girl, poor thing. With a grunt Yusei sat up and looked lazily at the people in the room. From the wannabe nurse, to the the white haired brute and a chick who faintly looked of a girl from this anime he watched, only with glasses.... Yusei felt defeated. Running his hands through his hair, he looked down, finding a half crumbled note the fake nurse must have written for him. This is a waste of time... he thought as his slow gaze looked from person to person.
He listened and watched as the trio bickered between each other. It was more of the nurse man and the apparent custodian that was bickering. The girl was more trying to assert herself between the two. If it wasn't enough, another girl made her way into the room. This girl appeared to be blind, and within a few seconds that notion was confirmed. Poor Yusei, didn't know what to do at this point. All he wanted to do was sleep. It was amazing that he was even able to have a job at a Ramen shop for as long as he did before he moved to this school.
With a grunt, the six foot boy rose as the other half of the trio was apparently leaving, and walked over to the small blind girl. Towering over her, Yusei grabbed her hand, and lead her over to the bed he had once occupied. "It's weird to ask to touch people, even if you are blind. People will think you're trying to molest them or something." The boy didn't care if what he said offended her, let alone seem rude. It just seemed weird to him that she would even ask that. "Take your medicine like a good girl, no one likes a person who wines."
