Here she was, Elysha was at this very park where she awakened to her identity as Sailor Altair. It is the park she frequented almost everyday. It was the place she was scared to revisit during evening hours still for the most part. Yet, Elysha has her stubborn bouts regardless of how few and far between them may or may not be. She mustered all the courage she could in her power to determinedly, adamantly, and swiftly combat the fear of avoiding this park she has come to be fond of altogether. But she was downright puzzled by why in being here after the fateful night whenever she could she still had trouble trying to jog her memory about more details as to what went on the night she learned she could and did transform into her magical other self for the first time. A cat gave her the pen she transforms with, and the cat's name, what was it again? The cat did give her a name right? Well, was it not a given that a talking cat would provide a name? But then, Elysha was no expert in the realm of magic, or was that realms, well anyway, magic aside, Elysha was always one to have trouble with names despite working at remembering better constantly. Was she perhaps forgetting much of that night due to her fear burying it from recollection? She sighed and then focused her gaze on the paper before her. It was a Destiny City newspaper which Elysha bought on a whim upon sighting it, hoping to gain more knowledge about the world she found herself in at a parallel with the one she was living in and thought she had more of a grasp on already. Alas, it was hard for her at present to absorb and comprehend the words on the page apart from the headline calling attention to costumed fighters wielding magic who continue to battle in the city. Perhaps food in her system would help her concentrate. Yes, she should not forget the sandwich and fries she bought. Thankfully, they were still hot. Despite losing track of time, Elysha was lucky not much time actually had passed while blanking out as she did. "Mmm," Elysha gratefully savored the bite she took from said sandwich. But that lasted only as long as before the arrival of a passing breeze. No sooner after she finished swallowing her first taste of the purchased meal did she then gasp in surprise as the wind pulled at the top page from under the weight of her food container and sent it flying away. Elysha hastily placed the quickly rewrapped sandwich on the cover of the food container then stood and began chasing after the airborne page trying to make its escape.

Arias was on one of his rare days off and thought, given the onset of autumn weather, he might enjoy a good walk in the park. It had been pleasant enough so far, and it was nice to see the trees in color during the daytime; autumn was easily his favorite season both for the colors and the practicality.
The breeze had been pleasant and he was enjoying it enough; though he wore a thicker sweater and had a scarf for the occasional chill, he had been enjoying the breeze.
Until suddenly something smacked him in the face and he froze midstep.
It was unlike him to react frantically in the face of confusion, so with hesitance and caution, he reached up to peel the newspaper from his face. After a single blink, his vision cleared and he read the headline; the media frequently labeled their powered inhabitants 'Terrorists', and the picture looked more to be a crude Photoshop intended to garner immediate attraction, but a quick glance made him uncomfortable enough to feel like he should lay low on the powered front.
…Not that he would, of course.
Instead, he glanced around for where the paper came from and seemed relieved to see a girl coming after if it. He carefully folded the paper and handed it out for the girl. "—Yours?" he prompted, seeming a bit embarrassed that he had let something like that hit him. If he'd zoned out so much while patrolling…
He focused on his smile instead of his worry. "They're making quite a big deal out of those 'Terrorists' these days, aren't they? A lot of speculation on something no one can seem to get solid information on."

She gasped again as she abruptly stilled in place with her arm still extended out toward the airborne sheet of paper in her shock for a beat of a moment before shortening more of the distance between herself and the victim of her runaway news page until they were just a number of feet as opposed to meters apart. She hesitated for a second and then plucked up her courage further to then receive the returned perpetrator that had escaped from her. "Y-yes it is. I-I'm so sorry!" She was relieved for his calmness but still embarrassed and very much apologetic about the unexpected obstructive attack that all of a sudden transpired. She went on to respond to his next words with a nod, "I, um, am a-admittedly reading about the, the magical battles happening here in Destiny City in hopes of learning more about them. I-I am finding myself so dangerously clueless and I would like to become less so."

Arias offered what he hoped came across as a kind smile and not some creeper grin. "I understand! You don't have to apologize, honestly. It was an accident. The wind has knocked far worse things into my face than a newspaper, I assure you! Are you new to Destiny City, or just happened to pick up an interest in all these…strange happenings?"
He couldn’t bring himself to call them 'terrorists' just because that’s what the Newspapers printed. He wasn't even sure if the Negaverse counted as terrorists, or if they just had some extremely misguided idea on what was 'best' for the planet.
Still, it wasn't a topic he often got to discuss in his civilian life, and he was interested to know what someone else thought about them. He didn't ask with the intent to be nosy, but he couldn't help but be at least a little curious. How long she had lived in the city and what she knew already would determine how he chose his words; if she had lived here than she'd probably already heard the worst, but if she was new…
There was no denying that the city was either the most dangerous or the most protected he'd ever heard of. He didn't want to chase her away so quickly—or scare her—by accidentally saying the wrong thing.

Elysha offered a meek yet genuinely thankful smile in return as she gave another nod while she started her next reply, "Y-yes, I'm still fairly new here at Destiny City b-but, um, I guess I could describe my interest so to speak in such events as these to be on account of my being somehow unable to go without noticing that they seem to be a great concern here. I am feeling more and more strongly that if I want to avoid trouble or more precisely, the drastic escalation of trouble that seems to be brewing or waiting to strike, I need to become more informed somehow. Perhaps, there are special lessons in survival available somewhere in this city. I honestly feel that I really don't know much at this point and I fear this could quickly turn out to be a very bad thing if I simply just leave it be and try to ignore these infamous magical happenings." In pausing her sudden ramble, she transition to a self-conscious motion of rubbing the back of one hand with her other's palm but she did manage to avoid timidly breaking eye contact with who she was conversing together with even barely. Perhaps if the reality of the existence of the magical pen she carried around was absent from her recent days, she might have believed her imagination to have simply have gotten wild and ridiculous. However, this was not the case for her and a part of her wondered if the man before her may very well be under a similar impression regarding her interest in the magical to her alternative thinking that mismatched with her present reality.

Arias blinked when she was talking. And blinked again. When she was finished, he was wearing an almost surprised look, as though it had been a bit of a struggle to keep up, but he just smiled when she was done. "I understand," he said, then. "Truth be told, I'm sort of impressed with the amount of people that stick around with all these odd happenings. You'd think people would want to move somewhere safer, but," he shrugged. "…I'm still here, too, so I guess I can't blame them. Destiny City's my home, for whatever it's worth."
He couldn't leave if he wanted to. Not when he had magical powers that were supposed to using to protect the city, at least. He was just afraid if he left, something would happen to people he care about—or people who didn't deserve to get hurt.
He couldn’t blame her for wanting to know more, and to be more prepared. In fact, it was just about the smartest thing anyone could do. If civilians were prepared to fight, then in numbers even the Negaverse couldn't handle that.
"But, I think that's a really smart idea. Being safe is better than being sorry—might save your life. Have you ever run into one of them? One of the 'Terrorists'." He used the name disdainfully, but didn't know what else to call them without it being a dead giveaway that he knew more than he was letting on.

"Y-yes, I, oh, m-may I invite you to have a snack while chatting with me? Would you please accept my untouched french fries? That is, if you'd like them. I think when I had removed my sandwich from the box, the wind took the alleviated weight as an opportunity to pull one of the pages of the newspaper free." Elysha had suddenly become aware that not only had she indirectly smacked the individual before her with part of a newspaper, she also had kept him standing there under the glaring rays of the sun at the scene of the crime during this bright and mostly cloudless day. Nervously, she took a few shuffling steps towards and neared the spot she had been seated at beneath the shade of tree, motioning one open palm to a part of it. "Please feel free to have a seat." Thankfully she had not gone more than a handful of steps in chase after the page from it or otherwise the short back and forth shuffle of the steps of her embarrassed motions would perhaps instead have been elongated and thus would have demonstrated more of a resemblance to an odd unintentional attempt at a side to side dance sequence. "I-I thought at first that I may have dreamed an encounter with um one of t-the terrorists," she went on to say, "but now I think I wasn't dreaming and actually did manage to somehow get away, very luckily uninjured. B-but, admittedly I think because I am still so fearful, I may have locked away clearer details of that encounter since much of my dreams recalling the incident are in shadow and muffled in sounds. And I don't know exactly what part of my dreams are accurate or made up, but I consistently dream of that encounter involving a terrorist with more than two arms."

"Oh—you don't have to share," Arias said; he flashed a quick smile. The offer sounded amazing, and he realized only now that he was actually hungry, but he didn't want to take anything from her. The conversation, however, he was absolutely interested in. He moved to where she had gestured, beneath the tree. He seemed comfortable there, resting on the grass, and leaned against the trunk as he listened. "That sounds like a good reason to be so interested," he said, lips pursing.
He imagined a creature with multiple arms, but worried then if she had been the victim of some youma.
…He didn't know what was scarier—an agent or a youma. With an agent, at least they looked like a human—and humans were a known evil, even without magical powers. But a youma—a monster—something you could look at and not explain? Something that had the potential to violently shake your understanding of reality?
They were both awful.
He shifted positions and then glanced at her. "Have you thought about getting therapy? I'm sure with…all the reports of weird things, there has to be someone who specializes in situations like that."

"Oh, I, honestly, that option hasn't crossed my mind." Elysha's eyes briefly widened a tad as she wondered for a moment why hadn't she thought of the idea at some point, "Thank you, I might have continued overlooking such a possibility. I'll certainly consider it and might seek the aid at some point. I guess, I've been caught up wondering if I might remember that night clearly at some point. And, I-I'm honestly disappointed in myself for remembering far too little of what had happened." By this time she had seated herself where she had been sitting earlier. And from her place facing him, she took another moment while her hands worked to wonder how she could go on to say what she curiously wished to in hopes of perhaps gaining more insight about the magical terrorism in this city without giving away the fact that she had become magical as well. She had moved the newspaper so that she pinned it with her shoulder bag this time, then from on top of the closed, white food container, she lifted and placed the sandwich she had quickly wrapped again before the chase on her lap. She opened that aforementioned food container beside him next to reveal handfuls of french fries and two small plastic holders of ketchup which were lidded and circular in shape. "Please eat these french fries and please have a bottle of water as well if you'd like," she said smilingly in the process of placing one of two sealed bottles of water next to the container of fries for him that she pulled from her shoulder bag atop the newspaper. "U-um," she began breaking the seal of her own drink as she asked curiously, "do you think that perhaps there is a means of contacting any magical policeman or individuals that know about facing and defeating terrorists, like a magical 911 number or address book? Or could there be a magical library somewhere in the city of credible sources about information such as for example the history of these um magical terrorist attacks?" She hoped she had managed to make that question seem casually curious and mostly out of fascinated yet genuinely concerned interest, despite in all seriousness wondering desperately if such things or similar actually exist. Was this search of hers that she had taken up for answers to such questions in part also some sort of SOS for help, she also wondered now. She was quickly confirming that she was not a fan of being both in tandem so new and so confused as days continued to go by. From her now opened bottle, she took a sip of water. Then, her hunger returned and she took one added bite from her sandwich as well.

Arias offered a small smile. "Really, I'm happy with conversation. I mean—if you insist, I won't argue," he said of the fries, but he didn't reach for them until she was absolutely sure.
"…You shouldn't be disappointed, though. Traumatic events tend to have that affect on people. You should be proud that you survived and managed to remember what you did, even if it's haunting your memory now. At least you can confront your memory instead of being haunted by a feeling you can't place."
He shifted positions. "Though, I am sorry to say that I have no idea if there's any means of magically contacting anyone. I do know…if you are intending to seek out information…"
He was quiet. "Then you may be inviting yourself into a dangerous world. I don't think 'terrorist' really begins to cover the strange things that happen in Destiny City. It's…more supernatural, than anything. If that doesn't make you think me crazy."
Arias had a distant look in his eye; he was focusing his gaze on something far away. His mind seemed to be elsewhere as he tried to figure out just what he could say that wasn't particularly incriminating.shyanimegrl I am so sorry this took so long ;;

"Y-yes, please allow me to insist," Elysha gave her reply smilingly. She was grateful for his words, the perspective he shared with her now added as part of how she was trying to make more sense of what she has gotten herself into and what she could possibly do now. She swallowed before speaking again but then paused before trying to speak again, her features having taken a more serious note though by just a fraction so far. Was being magical really so dangerous? If not, despite most of her magic related trials up to this point coming from her own worries, her own insecurities, why was there a persistent feeling of dreading future possibilities that plagued her? She had no trouble believing that it was entirely possible that this magical reality was more dangerous than she currently knew. Yet why couldn't she find it in her to just run from it, deny it, go on pretending it was just all a wild concoction of her imagination? Why doesn't she just ignore and stay away from the fear that being magical and all it seems to call her to be responsible for and face entails? "A-Altair of scalpels, t-that's the name the magical being claimed to be called," she finally decided to risk the words she voiced now, not going for precise detail in relaying everything she could remember, choosing to withhold what details could allow for some vagueness to remain in addition to what remained vague as having indeed been forgotten and not salvaged as of yet, "i-it's, the name, one of the memories I retained from encountering one of the t-terrorists, the name and I-I, there w-was also a-a magic spell of some sort. It m-may have played a part in warding o-off the terrorist then. Perhaps, p-perhaps, I am developing an obsession with A-Altair of scalpels a-and wanting to find out more a-about the magical mayhem in this city s-starting from l-learning more about A-Altair. I-I, b-but I don't really know what it is I-I should do a-about these anxieties and curiosities a-apart from l-learning more about self-dense g-gradually and t-trying to see about t-the manageability on m-my part at attempting to addressing t-this mysterious sort o-of hunger I s-seem to be feeling about learning more about the magical being Altair a-and what starting f-from such a point so a-as to eventually maybe learn f-further about m-magical terrorism o-onwards w-would lead to a-aside from p-perhaps m-more informed attempts ensuring s-survival. I-I feel I am drawn t-to a dangerous hunt for a-answers but t-turning away i-is h-hard for me so far." And then, there was a soft inhale of breath from her part as another realization came to her, "Oh, I-I've rambled so much, I'm s-so sorry. And, I-I've been so r-rude not i-introducing myself e-earlier. My name i-is Elysha. And m-may I-I ask your name please?" Arias blinked; it was only because she had insisted on the fries that he helped himself to some, fearing now that it would be rude not to. "Oh—you don't have to apologize, I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier. Arias," he said, quick to offer his hand to shake.
He was cataloguing name and spheres; it wasn't something that sounded familiar, but it was someone he'd keep his eyes and ears out for. At least for curiosity's sake.
"Self-defense is always a good thing," he acknowledged. "…And curiosity isn't always a bad thing, if you do it carefully. I don't think there's any harm in trying to find answers. The fact of the matter is…"
He held his breath, debating for a second if he wanted to have this conversation.
He did.
"You're in a city where unexplainable things happen all the time."
Unexplainable by conventional means, at least. There just wasn't much he could explain without giving his secret away. "I mean, hypothetically there are these people with magical abilities. Protectors of space, you know? …And I guess when you think about it, it's not really even that strange. Most of space is unexplored—who's to say they haven't unlocked more abilities than we have? And now they're here, fighting off this evil before it wipes out our planet. It's weird, and it's not exactly something you're going to be able to research online."
He had, already, and he'd found nothing but tourism guides to Newgrange. Not helpful, in the long run.
"…If you wanted, you could go out with some friends. People you feel safe with. See if you could find one of the good guys and get some information." He seemed to be debating it, but then suggested, "I know a few places where I think they sort of hang out. If you need company, I could tag along. Otherwise, I can make a list—but you just have to promise me you'll be safe if you try to check those places out. It's…not always good people that are out late at night, lurking around. I don't want you to get hurt."

"I-I'm glad to meet you, Arias," Elysha responded brightly as she shook Arias' hand in kind, though the sudden remembrance of how the page of her newspaper suddenly clung to him had a blush join her smile as she still couldn't help but feel embarrassed and apologetic about that. As things were, her features seemed to be set on trying to imitate a chameleon in terms of persistent attempts at blending with all the emotions she was feeling. She admitted to herself that she was glad her expressions had an overall hard time doing so, otherwise her level of crazy would have reached exponential levels by now. She took in more of his words as she ate another bite of her sandwich. And while she listened she wondered if Arias, too, may be a part of the magical happenings. Was he also one of the fighters opposing evil maybe? "Arias, I-I," Elysha hesitated but quickly regained her resolve. To progress in her search she needed to take risks as carefully as she could. Of course, she knew such an aim to thread cautiously was more easily said than done. Yet, she wanted to go with her gut now along with the part of her mind acknowledging that she finds Arias more than civil while mentally endeavoring at optimistically convincing the other part of her mind reminding of details such as just having met Arias that this decision isn't too risky. "Really, A-Arias, p-please, may I please tag along with you t-to those places? Please f-feel free to choose the times, i-if it's really alright with you." A part of her was now wondering if she had heard him offer correctly. But she wanted to express her interest nevertheless and also went on to say, "I-I'll, I promise to endeavor t-to be mindful of myself t-towards avoiding to be any trouble."

Arias seemed thoughtful and then nodded; he flashed her a quick smile before he reached into his pocket and fished around until he drew out a card.
It wasn't anything special—just the card to what looked like a local bakery. Embossed and glossy and well made. He gave it a quick look over, as if judging for imperfections, and then handed it over.
"A&H Bakeries," he explained, reading the delicate font settled next to a cupcake logo. "Nine out of ten times if you call, I'm the one who picks up, so just ask for Arias. Or the owner, if you forget my name." He waved his hand nonchalantly, as if it happened all the time. "But I'll try to remember your name. You've got a really unique one, so I suppose it'll be hard to forget." He was still offering a kind smile.
"Just let me know when you're free, I'll bring snacks," he laughed. It was the least he could do, seeing as he was enjoying the French Fries more than he thought he would be.

"Yes, o-okay, t-thank you so m-much, A-Arias," Elysha gratefully accepted the card Arias extended to her. Truth be told, Elysha would and knew she was prone to but kept having a hard time trying not to fumble a lot when she meets others, especially for the first time. And such was the case on this occasion as well. She'd find herself talking too much sometimes and other times not knowing what to say though her mind was consistently swirling with multiple thoughts. There was a momentary pause as she looked from Arias to his card and back to him while attempting to make short work of organizing her thoughts for what to say next. As she received the card Arias gave her, she had resolved to be sure to be mindful not to take his admirable kindness for granted and take the possible busyness of his schedule into consideration and not just of her own. Then, learning that he was a baker and owned his own bakery awed and impressed her further. "I-I'm admittedly um I-I find that I have a hard time r-remembering names, b-but I promise I-I'll try to remember your name a-as well, Arias, I-I promise." And what happened next, the socially awkward Elysha would usually forget such a step as this after being given someone's contact info and remember too late while thus being left to hope she would not forget and to tell herself to work harder not to forget next time, She beamed in thankfulness upon suddenly remembering this time as she pulled a notebook and pen out of her bag. She wrote as neatly yet efficiently as she could manage before folding the notebook page one way to cleanly tear it in part. And then she folded said page in another direction and likewise tore a fourth of that page from her notebook. "Um a-and a-also um h-here is my cell phone number. Arias, really thank y-you very much," she brightly replied smilingly in kind as she extended the rectangular paper approximately about the size of her open palm.
