It lost interest in her, thankfully, but she heard another thing coming for her. It was lurching and groaning and, oddly enough, snickering (or it sounded like snickering to her) as it made its way toward her. She just kept right on walking.

Good thing, too, because she heard that creepy snickering all of a sudden, coming from behind her. A glance back and she saw that the thing she'd left behind followed her. She forgot about the leisurely stroll and started brisk walking again, hoping to lose it.

It wouldn't leave her alone though, so she cocked her gun and kept her finger on the trigger, ready in case it tried anything funny. Like jump forward (could they even jump?) and try to eat her or something insane like that.

Slowly but surely the snickering faded away and she was able to relax for all of ten seconds before she heard that tell-tale whinny. She walked even faster now, and she had to focus on her breathing so she didn't have to stop to catch her breath.

When the whinnying came back she sped up her pace again, still hoping to lose it. It was hard to imagine that it hadn't tried to ram her yet, so she wondered if it was hostile at all, or if it only became hostile the last time because she shot it first.

She couldn't seem to shake it, but she kept walking. She tried to zigzag around, squeezing through tighter space to make sure it couldn't follow her. Which was risky, but so far she'd gotten lucky.

It was finally gone after what felt like ages, but as she rounded a corner something reached for her. She barely managed to get out of the way, but suddenness of this one's approach accidentally had her fire off a shot as she dodged and hit the nearby wall. It seemed to give her the evil eye as it started walking toward her, blocking her only way out of there.
