Now that everything had calmed down a bit at the apartments, Renita decided it was high time she went out and had a look around for her group. She'd caught a glance of Lennard during the fighting, but the fact that she hadn't seen anyone else bothered her. Maybe she could meet them on their way back, or if they needed help, she could...

The next alleyway she glanced down was occupied, but unfortunately not by anyone or anything she was looking for. As the creature came after her, she shifted her grip on her umbrella and swung at the thing's head as if she was holding was a baseball bat.
The first hit had knocked its jaw off, or out of its grip at least, she wasn't entirely sure what it had been doing there. It didn't stop it from coming after her though, now free hands stretching to grab and claw at her. Yelping, she tried to stagger back out of its reach and kept swinging.
It went back and forth several times, but eventually the creature stopped coming back. Panting, Renita backed away from the alleyway entirely, throwing a quick glance around to make sure it didn't have any friends. She was tired.
She was just about to leave when a flash of blue caught her eye. Warily, she moved forward to check it out, and was more than a little surprised to find a water bottle sitting by the building. She scooped it up, a little amazed, and saw that it hadn't even been opened. Lucky!
