[ wait, why am I rolling so many time? I summoned the horse already...] Juliette was unsure why she had decided to wander towards the long stretch of highway, perhaps it was a slight morbid curiosity since she had been passed out for so long while she had been there and wanted to explore it for herself. It didn't seem as terrible as the bandits' hideout and certainly not as periled as the casino. There was simply just a stillness and fog with the large cache of abandoned cars.
She certainly felt up to it anyways, the hallucinations seemed to have subsided, the frantic itchy was gone along with the rash - well, she hoped so, at first she had been very weary of checking herself over since the memory of how her hands were peeling was still so vivid even in her hazy mind. But the nausea was gone, she was able to still function like a human being (just a little bit of hunger and thirst) ... so why not?
It was so quiet and she would have oddly considered it nice, more so months ago when she was still in her desolate ways but now maybe she kind of liked the company she had found herself in. It was so lovely actually conversing and getting to know neighbors after all - though, really, the best of both worlds would include many cats.
The old woman trailed on with no intentions, occasionally brushing her hand against the dusted glass of the car windows to peek inside. Perhaps a habit now. Maybe it being so quiet in such a large area should have sent flags up that something was not right. There had only been that nagging feeling in the back of her head to keep going and not turn back; just take one of the cars and drive away forever. There was, though, that little voice that told her not to listen to that feeling. She would have to return eventually.
But that was not what she should have been worried about, but simply of the silence of the place. There should have been so many infected creatures here but she had encountered none, not even traces as she moved about. Soon enough, she kind of found out why.
They were simply invisible. Juliette heard it too late, the heavy thumbs of its approach and the shrill whine it produced but not soon enough to get away. Not that she could fathom a guess from which direction to get away from.
She felt an enormous pressure on her before she was knocked violently against one of the cars she had been eyeing. Her breath escaped her and it almost felt like every bone in her body had been broken instantly. Yet still she managed to pull out the candles she had acquired a few days prior and swung out blindly and frantically.
The shrill cry broke the air once again but as it was a seemingly invisible creature, she was unsure if she had actually gotten it. In the least, she wasn't attacked again and was able to slump against the remains of the car and rest.
She would need a few moments to collect herself.Quote: Mob HP: 0/1 Damage: 3 Juliette's HP: 1/50 OOC Character's name: Juliette Carver Character's faction: Apartments Character's journal link: meep Character's survival stats: meep BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER 60, female, tall and lean, mostly grey long hair with bits of her remaining black. As she was unsure if she had beaten it, it was another question if she had actually gained some loot from its defeat. She could see nothing left on the ground if it had indeed fractured and broke. It was a little disappointing.
But somewhere far from her in another land, a petite female witch was going to receive a notice of another pet in the stable she had acquired from a recent trip to a new village. It would frustrate her to no end upon finding out the damn thing was invisible.
