Kari wasn't sure what made her decide to return to the hospital where the whole mess started. Maybe part of her was hoping another portal would open up. Maybe she just wanted to find someone to talk to. Her journey back home was relatively silent since her only companion was unconscious.

Kari rolled her shoulders as she attempted to ward off the chill hanging in the air. Was the human world always this cold? Even with the amount of clothing she was wearing and her affinity to fire, the temperature still managed to penetrate to her core.

"H-Hello? Anyone here?," the reaper called out hesitantly, hoping that her cries didn't draw any unwanted attention, hunter or otherwise.

Thumping up the stairs, Kari had to admit carrying the human around was giving her a good workout. She could feel her muscles beginning to tighten from soreness, but such a sensation would eventually fade when she became used to the feeling.

As Kari neared the top of the stairs, a skittering noise caught her attention. She tensed as... what in jack's name was that? It was walking upside down!

Once more, Kari picked up her human and continued her search through the building. If the enemies inside were that easy to handle, then she would have few problems.

Kari didn't make it far before she was faced once more with an enemy similar to the one she had previously fought on the stairs.
"What are these things?," the reaper pondered as another creature crawled into view. At least it gave her something to do. that had to count for something.

Her fishing pole landed on the crawler just as deftly as it did before. Kari wasn't sure if it was just that she was getting better, or the enemies were getting worse. She surmised that it would probably be the latter, given her usual luck streaks.

Even Kari was shocked at how hard her blow was. Her fishing pole had blown the crawler into oblivion. Staring at the rod, Kari couldn't help but silently re-evaluate her weapon's potential.
