She was out performing a little scouting; her civilian was still tucked away in the jeep back on the highway near the car pile up, but as a good death division hunter, Chel wanted to check out the area at least.

Well this spot looked harmless enough at first, but he wasn't stupid enough to set his civilian down in here of all places. Nothing came at him and that suited him just fine.
Not too far away though, he spotted an odd head of pink hair and jogged over. Then regretted it.

Chel was relieved to see another white coat. Yes she loved Halloween creatures and yes one of her closest friends was a reaper, but sometimes it was just relieving to see someone you could trust not to shank you in the back for some age old feud.
Judging by his coat, he was pretty new too. No rips, totally pristine. "Alright trainee, move yer a** and get choppin'."
Something about him must have been a dead giveaway, but he didn't question it. Just summoned Zephira and tried to hack an arm off of the contorted thing. He failed miserably, too.
"Where the hell's your civvie?" he asked while half-dodging a blow to his arm.

He took her advice and went for the head. And he got it, nearly even gagged as it rolled over to him. He swallowed it down as best he could and looked over, blinking.
"Down. Think you can answer my question now?"
He hefted the girl over his shoulder and adjusted his weight a bit, frowning. At that rate he'd probably topple over in the middle of a fight...

Why the hell were there so many potatoes here? Chel picked it up anyways- Rajni (as she'd learned her name was) had like twelve of them in her pockets, so why not grab more.
"She's back near the highway stuffed in a jeep. F'she runs away s'no big deal." Chel honestly didn't care; she'd never really been good at civilian rescue. She just didn't care enough about idiots that often didn't want rescuing. "Why?"

He quirked a brow at the potato she pocketed, but didn't bother to ask. Food was food, right? He adjusted the dead weight on his shoulder and pointed at the body with the butt of his sword. "Dead weight's heavy, and much as I like working out this is ridiculous..."
He pointed toward the door. "Are you all stashing civvies over there or something? Seems convenient as all hell."

Chel smiled with the edge of her lips curved in the quirky way she did. "Yeah my friend K, he got a big muscley dude. Felt pretty bad for him."
Rajni was light enough, Chel was grateful for that.

He was about to ask who this K was--he sucked with names and hadn't bothered to learn too many since he started out--when something started freakishly crawling back toward them again.
