Zone four and five together consist of a highway and the encompassing roads around it. Driving and traveling along the roads, you can technically access all previous zones. The question is - do you really want to?

ZONE 4/5 THINGS TO DO:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Each zone has a [ GM ORP ] which you may participate in for event plots. Finishing a GM ORP will give you bonus district points to apply to your faction base's HP AND extra items for your minis inventory.
exclaim To access the GM ORP for zone 4/5, read the posts below!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Each zone has a [ MOB THREAD ] That shows which mobs spawn if you post NON MISSION solo/prps/orps of your own in that zone. Remember before posting a ZONE 4/5 PRP, you MUST go to the mob thread. You can only post a prp if you roll 1d10 to see if you summoned a mob FIRST.
exclaim Go HERE for the zone one zone mob thread!

OOC
WELCOME TO FURY ROAD: DAY 4/5 OF THE META

An earthquake has set off, with enough force to knock your character unconscious (to read more as to WHY click HERE. Your character will remain unconscious for a while, and while playing unconscious people can be not fun, it really is not fun. This is the story of the day 4/5 that your character spent unconscious. It doesn't technically span an entire day, but it takes a couple of days for this and the small incident that spawns from this to clear up.

Thankfully because of this unconscious thing, you will be temporarily RPing from the point of view (POV) of someone else. Think of this as a temporary story shift, where you are typing in third person omniscient and now, it is time to briefly visit another character also relevant to this plot! There are several options you can pick. Once you have selected ONE you may proceed to the story below (you must pick one PER character you own!). Read the spoiler for information on what to do. Please only pick ONE option per meta disposable you own. These have to be paired with your own meta disposable characters.

gaia_star Picking an existing student or citizen.

- You will now RP as an existing student or citizen character you own in this shop! If you OWN a student character in TiH and you wish to use them, proceed to the [ ORANGE ] coloured text below.

- Read ONLY that prompt and respond to it using the CYOA options for part 1 and part 2. Make sure you update your OOC description to match this character, now that you are rping them!

- If you have an existing student character but you really want to create a guest student, you may do so, please look at the below prompt!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

gaia_star Picking a guest student (For people with NO EXISTING SHOP CHARACTERS) - Easy

- If you DO NOT OWN a student character in TiH, you can create a "guest student" character. This is a character that follows these guidelines. It can be from the five species: demon, monster, reaper, ghost, undead.

- You don't have to be too specific, this isn't a character you will keep later, it is pretty much one time use so just pick any sort of "student-ish" design and move forward (ie: my character is a white werewolf named Bob). Remember that all students must remain humanoid form( ie: if my natural form is a mermaid, in their student form they have legs!).

- If you have a quest character you are free to use them as a guest student!

- Once you've settled on a look for them, update your OOC description to match whenever you RP them! Guest students are considered to be visiting Amityville as honourary students at the time this event happened!

- If you still need help, please post in the Q+A what you want your character to be and if it is okay and a GM will respond ASAP

- When you are ready and you wish to select a guest student[/b, read the ORANGE TEXT PROMPT (STUDENTS) in the post below and follow the requirements for part 1 and part 2!

gaia_star Picking an existing Hunter

- You will now RP as an existing Hunter you own in this shop! If you OWN a Hunter character in TiH and wish to use your existing Hunter, proceed to the [ BLUE ] coloured text below.

- Read ONLY that prompt and respond to it using the CYOA options for part 1 and part 2. Make sure you update your OOC description to match this character, now that you are rping them!

- If you have an existing Hunter character but you really want to create a disposable one-use Hunter, you may do so, please look at the below prompt!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

gaia_star Picking a disposable Hunter (For people with NO EXISTING SHOP CHARACTERS) - Difficult

- If you DO NOT OWN a Hunter character in TiH, you can now create a "disposable Hunter" character. This is a Hunter character that follows these guidelines. Please select a division (Moon, Sun, Mist, Life, Death). Note that these disposable Hunters are ONE TIME USE - meaning they can ONLY be used in this meta and that is it. Make sure you follow Quest Hunter rules.

- You don't have to be too specific, this isn't a character you will keep later, it is pretty much one time use. You may give them a weapon as well, but you may only choose from these three types of weapons and it MUST be under 5 feet in length/ 1 foot in width: sword, bow, spear, axe, staff. It must also be metallic, you know, like a weapon, but carved with runes.

- Please do not use a quest Hunter unless you are sure you never want to use them after this meta!

- Once you've settled on a look for them, update your OOC description to match whenever you RP them! Disposable Hunters are considered trainee level Hunters that have been stationed "off base" in another station. In this case, their station was Victoria (BC), Canada. They have been called on site to help with this mission.

- If you still need help, please post in the Q+A what you want your character to be and if it is okay and a GM will respond ASAP

- When you are ready, read the BLUE TEXT PROMPT (HUNTERS) in the post below and follow the requirements for part 1 and part 2!

YOU ARE A STUDENT/ CITIZEN/ GUEST STUDENT

PART 1: YOU ARE A STUDENT/ CITIZEN / GUEST STUDENT

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The format for this part is now [ CYOA ] + [ READ AND RESPOND TO PROMPT]. Read the prompts below and select the best answer appropriate to your character. Take note of all answers selected. At the very end, when prompted, you will write a response to all the prompts you have selected in one consolidated RP reaction post in this ORP THREAD FROM that character's point of view!

Each gaia_star represents a choice. When there are a bunch of gaia_star next to each, other, it means pick ONE of them, and then proceed reading below. Here is an example of how this works:

Bob wondered what kind of pony he was:

gaia_star [ A pink one ]
You also puke rainbows ***EXAMPLE****

gaia_star [ A purple one ]
You also fart gumdrops ****EXAMPLE*****

Bob continued to wonder but at least he had decided on a colour.

THE RESCUE BEGINS: (CLICK THE SPOILER TO START):
You aren't too sure how you got roped into this, but here you were. On volunteer duty, no less, something called MRTHATSFH, which really, was impossible to say unless you had the right vocal cord range for it (which was every respectable demon's personal envy). It turned out that MRTHATSFH stood for (eMergency Rescue That Has a Thoughtful Side For Humans), and why the sigil was an M and not an E was another story altogether which went something like it turned out that those who had the right vocal range for C'thulian words could not actually pronounce long vowels very well.

The volunteer rescue endeavor was set up right in the middle of Town Hall, right next to the spewing green fountain, and a small walk away from Amityville Academy. It was the perfect spot to rope any unexpecting shopper or student into volunteers for the greater good, and there was a lot of blackmailing, guilting, and overall begging involved into making them stay.

A tiny little elf, popularized in Human world media as house elf, was currently holding a giant megaphone that seemed more intent in chewing his head off. "This is worldwide catastrophe! Humans everywhere will become extinct! Halloween will cease to exist! Stop the end of the world now!"

Before you could say yes or no to whatever else this involved, a nice-looking Reaper in grey was handing out a [ HOW TO SAVE YOUR HUMAN ] instruction book. Fortunately, whomever was responsible for this also thought you were five scareling years old, so it was super easy. Was it really necessary to read this?

gaia_star [ Read the pages ]:

(Page 1):
Find a Human!

(Page 2):
Hug it!

(Page 3):
Carry the human in your embrace towards the exit

(Page 4)
You did it!

(Page 5)
Yay!

gaia_star [ Don't read the pages ]:

Someone hits you on the back of the head. "Read the pamphet or I'll make you volunteer twice." You really don't want to volunteer twice, so you obligatorily read it. Nobody wants to waste time that much, really.

After you finish reading, also known as the orientation period, a couple of portals are set up, right in the middle of Halloween Town, which meant either they were going to get kicked out in about five minutes, or they had official Halloween Town Hall approval.

"All right, everyone make nice, even lines, and pick up your volunteer passports." The (house) gnome was currently perched right on top of the fountain as they spoke. "They will allow you temporary access into the Human world without dissipating entirely! Don't forget that most Humans cannot see you, but if they do, stand very still and pretend you are a piece of furniture, we are here to save them, not kill them even more. If all Humans die, then our world will be destroyed. Think of the scarelings!"

One by one, each volunteer was escorted through the portal, all the volunteers from MRTHATSFH standing at the doorway to welcome you:

gaia_star [ Talk to the house elf ]:
The house elf beams. "Saving a Human is such a great honour! They are magnificent beings! Well, mostly. Some. That's really what counts right?"

gaia_star [ Talk to the grey reaper ]:
They look at you skeptically. "If you can save a Human with that amount of Fear, then I'm the reincarnation of the Lord of the Underworld." He pauses. "That was a joke. You know, because you can't."

gaia_star [ Talk to the werewolf cloaked in red]
She crosses her arms, scowling at the fog. "We do not t͏r̕us̵ţ this," she growled. Her growl reverberated with the sound of more than one being. "There is something about the fog that sets my teeth on edge. Keep your Fear close and strike swiftly."

gaia_star [ Talk to the tiny ice demon ]:
"Err," says the ice demon, who is just casually knitting the end of his scarf, "I uh, I got blackmailed. This is totally volunteer and not because I have to. Can you bring me one of those Human drinks I think uh, Apple Cider on the way back, yes I'll uh, you know-." He drifts off and averts your judging gaze at the end for some reason.

gaia_star [ Talk to the tiny minipet ]:
Why are you talking to a minipet. And why is it dressed up like that?

<They've given you a very small opening> You suddenly hear a voice in your head as the minipet stares at you < Use the time well. You might not be able to try again! >.

As you make your way through the portal, you are assaulted immediately by a grey sort of dreariness, the wispy remains of fog. Around you lies a strange sight: the broken concrete remains of the Human world, scattered by strange metallic things very similar of course to cars in your world, but less useful. You walk around some, navigating around hundreds of shadowlings that have not quite gained true form, as well as Human-shaped things that hurt for you to look at for too long a time. Are there really victims in this desolate landscape?

The fog begins to thicken again, heavily limiting your vision. You can barely make out anything in front of you, as well as any volunteers. This continues for what seems like hours, before you find your first Human. They are asleep.

It doesn't have to be very long, but it should let you get a grasp of your character if they are a quest just very lightly! When you are done, go to the post below to [ PART 2, which is the same for all factions! ]

exclaim THINGS TO NOTE: While your character is on this volunteer endeavor, they will appear AS THEY ARE (humanoid forms) to other students/ Hunters WHILE appearing like some vague, horrific shadow monstrosity to any human civilians.

Each gaia_star represents a choice. When there are a bunch of gaia_star next to each, other, it means pick ONE of them, and then proceed reading below. Here is an example of how this works:

Bob continued to wonder but at least he had decided on a colour.

THE RESCUE BEGINS: (CLICK THE SPOILER TO START):
You cannot avoid the emergency call of the mission, especially when it involves saving actual civilians, instead of your usual run-of-the-mill training and idle mission writing paperwork. The call is mandatory for all Hunters stationed at the Victoria base in BC, Canada, and semi-emergency for those stationed in the main Deus Island, ranked a class S mission, for of course, classified.

The mission debriefing itself happens at the Victoria base camp, a small city located on the tip of a small island in the middle of ******** nowhere (Canada). The only usual residents of the area consist of trees and the occasional black bear. It is raining that day, misting over into a wet grey, and the debriefing, due to the volume of Hunters being gathered at an otherwise tiny base, is being held outside on a series of soaked wooden picnic tables. It also looked like the saddest barbeque ever.

There are about three division leads stationed out, and none of them seem interested in talking to you, or perhaps they are simply too busy. You got the gist of things anyway a couple of hours prior from cellphone messaged debriefing for the mission which went something like:

gaia_star [ You read the entire message ]:

Class S mission (Classified)
Objectives: Neutralize all hostiles, including Undying (I-23 cool and Infected (I-129). Find and rescue any surviving civilians while obtaining minimal risks. All Hunters need to regroup back at the portal 4 hours from dispatch. All Hunters should be equipped with appropriate Runic gear and headsets. Report any further suspicious activity and incident post mission ASAP through a properly conducted mission report.

gaia_star [ You didn't read the message ]:
You don't need to read. With your brains and infinite power surely nothing can go wrong!

"Right then, the portals are set up." A team of Hunters from the Victoria base begin to hand out emergency equipment compromised of a flashlight, a headset, a somewhat detailed map of Delta, and about three stacks of moose jerky. "Remember we bought you four hours, after that, the miasma will probably return. Your priority is searching for rescue, obstruction and intel. If you have a SPECTRE watch, it has been updated to show the old map of Delta prior to destruction point zero, otherwise use the given map. If you stay longer than the four hours, we will not be able to come back for you."

There are two portals set up, and closer to them are an assortment of people, some recognizable Hunters and others unfamiliar, talking amongst each other. You have a small opportunity to ask them any questions before you leave.

gaia_star [ Ask the Sun lead a question ]:
He beams and then poses. "To every question there is an answer and that is the question." Really, why did you ask him again?

He does however, send you off with an extra bottle of Ramune and about five boxes of Strawberry Pocky, and if you are carrying a Runic weapon, he checks it once over again for you to make sure it is working.

gaia_star [ Ask the Mist lead a question ]:
As you approach, Lance glances up at you from his (waterproof) runic tablet. He reaches out and quickly clasps your shoulder. "Stay safe and don't get bit out there. Otherwise it's routine as usual."

If however, you happen to be a Mist Hunter, Lance leans in close. "By the way, we're having a running contest of who can get the most headshots. Winner gets a paycheque bonus. You in?"

gaia_star [ Ask the Death lead a question ]:
He's busy talking to another Death Hunter, and upon being interrupted, just sort of looks at you and it is very much full of the judging. You get the feeling that you really are unwanted here.

gaia_star [ Ask the Death assistant a question instead ]:
The really scrawny Death Hunter looks like a drowned rat in the rain. For some reason, all his laptops are still functional, signifying either he was a wizard or just really good at what he did. "Not now," he whispers, as you confront him, "I'm on a really more importanter mission okay."

You're pretty sure importanter is not a word, and as you're about to leave he suddenly calls you back. "Hey um, can you hold onto this for me? It'll let me get a clearer signal of the place." He hands you what looks like a small wristwatch to put on. It doesn't look too bad and actually makes a nice accessory. How harmful could it be?

As you make your way through the portal, you are assaulted immediately by a grey sort of dreariness, the wispy remains of fog. Around you lies a strange sight: the broken concrete remains of a once metropolitan city, scattered by cars in various stages of urban decay. You walk around some, navigating around hundreds of shadowlings that have not quite gained true form, as well as the occasional slow-moving Infected that are almost a joke to avoid. Are there really civilian survivors in this desolate landscape? You gather as much information as you can see as you examine the ruins around you, noting most of all the strange green vines that populate almost everything beneath the concrete.

The fog begins to thicken again, heavily limiting your vision. You can barely make out anything in front of you, as well as any volunteers. This continues for what seems like hours, before you find a civilian. They are asleep.

OOC
PART 2: ALL PLAYERS (ALL FACTIONS)

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Now that you have finished writing your reaction post to the above you may now continue to this post, part 2! The goal of part two is to take the civilian you have found and rescue them by dragging them into their respective portals.

A note for Halloween players: Don't worry! The portal you will rescue the Human to is nonharmful for the Human and simply teleports them to another much more peaceful Human city! (This was part of the information booklet you got, page 10).

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ STEP 1 ]: AFTER YOU HAVE DONE YOUR GM ORP POST IN THIS THREAD FROM PART ONE, CREATE a [ RESCUE SOLO ] post in THIS SUBFORUM. Title it [ RESCUE SOLO ] (NAME OF CHARACTER HERE). For now, rp this separately (you may rp with other players AFTER you finish this part), as the fog is a little too thick to make out where everyone is! In the first post, please roll 1d10 AND post the OOC stats of both your disposable and the character who is rescuing them! OOC stats for the rescuing character should look something like:
Name:
Faction:
Suspecies/Division:
General appearance: BLURB HERE
HP:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ STEP 1b ]: Using the radio: If the character you rescued has a radio, you can use it. You can talk through the radio, change your !alias to the RESCUERS NAME. While this isn't IC knowledge @ who the character is, if there is a character who also has a radio who recognizes the voice of another character, they can call/signal to them on there. This works for both Hunters and Halloween creatures (really a radio is just the same in Halloween, it is just spoopier and likes to chew on your hand!)

Remember when you are done this zone, that you need to change your !alias back to your actual character

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ Step 2 ] Dragging your victim to the goal!

Due to confusion, the following labeling will be created for your characters:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

VICTIM: That is your original disposable character you started off with in the meta. They are currently unconscious/ in deep sleep and do not seem to be waking anytime soon even with ridiculous noise/disruption.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

RESCUER: That's who you are currently rping! This is the person rescuing your disposable! So yes, technically you are rping a character rescuing your disposable, yes.

Take a look at the 1d10 you rolled in your first post. That is the amount of yards you have traveled away from the portal. Go ahead and start dragging them back through the fog. This is entirely rped so you can drag them back however you want. For Halloween students, your strength has been nerfed slightly, and are now proportional to a Human's strength. For a Hunter, the fog is sapping your strength, making you more lethargic. Your movement and strength is slowed down to a regular civilian's.

For this part, also keep in mind the height and weight of your victim when you take it into RP accord. As your characters are in a very densely populated part of the hospital, hitching a ride via any form of vehicle is not an option right now.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ Step 3 ] You did it!

Once you have finally rped getting to the portal, after all your rescuer's blood, sweat and tears, you can go ahead and throw them into the portal and follow afterwards.

As you do you and the victim suddenly end up not anywhere safe and definitely not back to where you started. Instead, it seems like you are somewhere on a long stretch of (Human) highway. There is a very tall skyscraper next to you, covered entirely in vines, though the top of the skyscraper seems to have shattered. It hurts your head to look at the buildilng, but as you turn away, you feel something shaking around you:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Behind you is a ridiculously tall creature made of ??? and vines. It doesn't even seem to be made of Fear. It spans nearly fifty feet, and while at a distance it may have looked like some sort of mutated horse, it begins to unravel, hundreds of vines twisting into claws, and then fingers to grasp at you.

Pick the ones applicable to your character, click the spoiler below and then follow the steps given. This one should be your THIRD rp post in that thread.

gaia_star If you are a student/guest student/ FROM HALLOWEEN:
More tendrils unravel from the cage of the creature and you hear something whisper in your head. It hurts, and nearly causes you to lose consciousness.

We will consume you and your Fear will be ours.

You suddenly realize all the hundreds, thousands, of tendrils are creatures from Halloween that have been consumed. Their Fear resonates with you, and they scream in agony and confusion no longer themselves. Their loss of identity shakes you to your core.

Without the fog sapping your strength, you feel a renewed power as you pick up the victim and begin to sprint out. You are actually able to take on your natural form at this point to make it faster (where applicable), though the overwhelming crushing nausea of the thing chasing you makes it impossible for you to fly any higher than a few feet off the air. You run. It chases.

Now, write a post in REACTION to what has happened in the entirety of STEP 2 for your RESCUER. You may now choose to continue to run (go to next step) OR stop a little to fight the boss. If you do, the boss has ???/??? HP. If your character (RESCUER) successfully does more than 10 damage to it (remember GUEST STUDENTS Have 2d6-6 dice and QUEST HUNTERS have 2d8-6 dice) you manage to repel it a little bit ICly and it gives your character a bit of a breather. This post should be the exclaim SECOND rp post in your thread!

gaia_star If you are a Hunter/ Guest Hunter:
More tendrils unravel from the cage of the creature and you hear something whisper in your head. It hurts, and nearly causes you to pass out.

It is not natural for you to accept us?

Images begin to flash in your head, and they are overwhelming. They show people, thousands of people each second in fear, anger, despair, hatred, loathing- the images flash even faster, and it hurts for you to even remain standing.

It is only the support of your weapon that causes you to regain semi-consciousness again as you force yourself as far away from the thing as possible. Just nearing it causes your head to pound horribly again. You feel a renewed power as you pick up the victim and begin to sprint out. Vines lash at you and you sever them with your weapon without much though. You run. It chases.

Now, after reading the above for this step, write a post in REACTION to what has happened in the entirety of STEP 2 for your RESCUER.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ Step 4 ] As you run, the skyscraper, the entire city bursts into vines. You keep on running. You can't afford to look back. Eventually, you reach a long empty expanse of highway with nowhere to hide. The fog thickens again, heavily weakening your character, locking them in their natural forms (for Halloween) and stopping weapons from their true potential (Hunter). All you know is that you need to get away from the thing.

Pick the ones applicable to your character, click the spoiler and then follow the steps given. This one should be your exclaim THIRD rp post in your solo thread.

gaia_star [ IF YOUR CHARACTER IS A HUNTER ]

First, you must pick a vehicle of transport:

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

gaia_star [ If the victim has earned CAR KEYS ] (dont't worry if you haven't been granted them yet, as long as you claimed for it (check END OF DAY 3 GM ORP to see if you are eligible)), this translates to your rescuer finding a car along the highway with the car keys STILL INSIDE it. Looks like you got super lucky! If your character cannot drive you can either have them "fake it" (how hard can it be to press a gas pedal!) or choose another option.

Roll 1d6 to see which car you find. This is what kind of car you will be rping for this post:

1. A vespa. Seriously, a vespa. It was the only thing you could find in such a limited time okay! (SPEED VALUE +1).

2: Beat up 1970's Toyota Corolla. Seriously this car is so beat up. It putters. It is a two-seater. It slows down if you drive over 20 mph. Are you sure you are going to be okay? (SPEED VALUE +2)

3: The reliable 2000 Ford Focus. It pretty much gives you what you need, and there is space. You drive as fast as you can (SPEED VALUE +3)

4. A somewhat new Jeep Wrangler. This thing is awkwardly huge, but at least it does its job. (SPEED VALUE +4)

5. A 2010 Mercedes-Benz convertible. Seriously?! At least it moves really fast and you get to feel the (foggy) wind blowing at your hair while a terrible monstrosity chases after you! (SPEED VALUE +5)

6. A very brand spanking new Ferrarri Sports Car. What a shame. What a crying, crying shame. You drive it because if you didn't it would never be as loved or as appreciated as it should be. (SPEED VALUE +6).

gaia_star [ IF THE VICTIM DID NOT GET CAR KEYS:

- You'll have to either run or bike. Running gives you SPEED VALUE +0, biking gives you SPEED VALUE +1.

Now, with your method of transport you need to escape the highway passage! The exit route is 10 kilometers forwards, one highway ride straight down. Your headset communicates to you clearly that is where you need to be. You start hauling it! Roll 1d6 then add the SPEED VALUE to your dice roll. This is the distance you travel per post before the boss chasing you catches up. If it catches up to you, it hits you for -5 damage to your poor car (and you + the victim!) Keep on rolling until you escape! You may not roll multiple times per post. RP OUT EACH ROLL PLEASE.

When you finally make the 10 kilometers distance, proceed to STEP 4. Make sure you have rped out your reaction to all of entire step 3. You are almost there!

gaia_star [ EXAMPLE RP OF STEP 3: ]
- Bob creates an ESCAPE SOLO. Bob reads the following and write a quick reaction post to running away, and finding a car. In the same post, Bob rolls 1d6 and rolled a 6 and got the sports car! He edits that same post to pick up the victim and throw them into the sports car and begins to drive away, the crazy mass of Fear and vines chasing them the entire time when the communications headset finally sparks, telling Bob that a portal has been set up 10km straight down the highway!
- Now that Bob has a car, Bob makes a new post and rolls 1d6 to see how far they have gotten before the boss catches up. They roll 1d6 and get a 3. The ferrari has a speed +6, so that is 9 km covered! The boss hits them all for -5 damage, and dents the car a lot. Edit this post and RP it out.
- Now they make another post and roll again for 1d6. This time they roll a 1. 9+1 by default = 10km TOTAL so they make it to the portal! Edit this post and rp it out.
- Bob has made it! Proceed to the next post below.

Looks like you got super lucky! If your character cannot drive you can either have them "fake it" (how hard can it be to press a gas pedal!) or choose another option. Cars in the human world are pretty much identical to Halloween ones, except Halloween cars are way spoopier.

Roll 1d6 to see which car you find. This is what kind of car you will be rping for this post:

1. Some sort of tiny motorbike (vespa)? Oh well, it seems to fit two humans! It was the only thing you could find in such a limited time okay! (SPEED VALUE +1)

2: A really cool car that has rust and looks actually like a car from Halloween! Too bad it is so slow. (SPEED VALUE +2)

3: A car that is as boring as Humans are! At least the inside seems to be slightly moldier. (SPEED VALUE +3)

4. A really, really square car that reminds you of Monster Cars from Halloween, without the "Monster" in it. You like the space in it at least! (SPEED VALUE +4)

5. A SPEED VALUE nice car that does not seem to have a car roof for some reason. Is this a Human world thing? It drives super fast though! (SPEED +5)

6. The weirdest car you have ever seen. It is seriously flat, and shiny, and really weird. Oh well, beggars cannot be choosers. The good news is when you press against the pedal it pretty much ZOOMS REALLY FAST AWAY. Humans were meant to do cool things after all! (SPEED VALUE +6).

gaia_star [ IF THE VICTIM DID NOT GET CAR KEYS:

- You'll have to either run or ATTEMPT biking. Running gives you +0 SPEED VALUE, biking gives you +1 SPEED VALUE.

Now, with your method of transport you need to escape the highway passage! The exit route is 10 kilometers, one highway ride straight down. You can clearly feel the proper portal just mere moments again. You may not roll multiple times.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ Step 5 ] PORTAL, ATTEMPT 2!

As you finally (both Halloween AND Hunter) step towards your respective portals, the VICTIM suddenly grabs a hold of you and attacks you with a rather impressive strength!

You must now fend off the VICTIM and try to drag them into the portal. Just create an RP post as you try your best to fight off the victim. This wastes precious time and by the time you finish fighting them, you realize the portal is gone.

CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE NOW STRANDED

That's it! You're done the solo part! Please RP out what you need, then continue to the post (STAGE 3) below for some quality PRP time!

PART 3 (FINAL PART)
PART 3: EVERYTHING SUCKS BUT ESPECIALLY THIS STUPID RESCUE ATTEMPT

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

You are STILL in the rescuer's POV. That's what you get for being helpful, you guess. As the portal disappeared, all communications also went down, with the exception of your victim's radio. You're not actually too sure if the radio helps at all but at least it is consolation that you aren't going insane.

As a rescuer, you may use the WEAPONS and LOOT of the victim you rescued. If you do use loot, it does USE IT UP! As a rescuer, you really do not need to pay attention to food/thirst AT ALL.

You are now able to PRP with any other player in ANY faction for this duration. You may leave your victim there because whatever, it's not like they're going anywhere, or you may drag them around with you (super creppy!) Here are some places your character can explore: Feel free to do so in prp/orp/ solo style! Mobs are now active from this point onwards, meaning if you wish to create a PRP, you must also roll to see if you summoned a mob. Refer to the MOB SUMMON THREAD for zone 4! All loot obtained will be given to your VICTIM character by the end of this.

As a general note: students AND Hunters are generally less friendlier than students and students / Hunters and Hunters. This is a good time for some alliances/truces to be had, though there is uneasiness from both sides of the factions towards each other. However you decide to RP, make it work ICly for you! This is a great time to enrich your character's experiences!

gaia_star [ The Bandit's Hideout ]:
It is just a run down city now, with not a single bandit in sight. There are however, a surplus of undead and undying in the area

gaia_star [ The abandoned Casino ]:
This place is extremely creepy and it seems like nothing is working in it. What used to look like a beautiful place has entirely been overrun by undying.

gaia_star [ The abandoned hospital ]
The hospital is still as desolate as ever. It is plagued by the infected and undying, and there seem to be fresh bloodstains all directions. Just being there creates a sense of anxiety and unease.

gaia_star [ The car pileup ]
On the highway is a massive pileup of cars that seem almost eerie with how high they are stacked. They provide a decent warmth away from all the cold, so at least that is good. There's also random supplies in the car, nothing edible or really usable, but they could be fun (pick something that you'd see in a car often, your character can Icly play around with it. KEEP IT PG13 SERIOUSLY).

gaia_star [ The parking lot ]
There is a vast expanse of parking lot, and a large population of undying. There are also, strange portals set up. They are discoloured, purple instead of the usual orange (Halloween) or blue (Deus) portals. Do you really want to go into one?

If you do go into a portal, because either you are incredibly bored or just like Touching Things, you end up in a strange world covered in vines. The deeper you walk, the greener everything gets. At the very end is the victim and they are conscious within this dream. You can interact with your victim (ONLY YOURS) but you CANNOT USE ANY FORM OF LANGUAGE (including sign/morse/written/ etc), it seems like something is mentally blocking the ability to use language, and you can only gesture. The dream ends when you are ready to "conclude" it and you are kicked out of the portal. The victim is still unconscious in reality.

THIS PROMPT CAN ONLY BE DONE SOLO.

gaia_star [ Deeper into the fog ]
If your character really feels like navigating deeper into the fog, it is a vast expanse of nothingness. As they do so, they lose sense of time and self, and for a moment, fade out of existence.

If you choose to do this, your VICTIM character will now temporarily awaken. They can now rp with anyone else in this area in all zones (save parking lot). They can rp with other VICTIMS who have also woken up OR with the RESCUERS. You can do this for max 1 hour "IC" duration (however many rps you want). After that they go back to sleep. Your character wanders back as well.

As this can lead to confusing moments of tagging and timelines, it is possible to have RESCUER and VICTIM rps of your characters at similar times. Just make sure you start them in a timeline that makes SENSE for you. Your rescuer obviously, cannot interact with your own victim (for obvious reasons), save for the small window of space in the "parking lot" prompt.

gaia_star [ A small radio tower ] A small radio tower lies nearby. It seems to pick up signals from other channels. This only works if you have a radio item. You can roll 1d6 to see if you can pick up anything interesting.

Rolling a 1: -- survivors-- all survivors--- food and sanctuary at ---- come---- immediately----

Rolling a 3: --Is my understanding sufficient for this or not? If it is sufficient, I use it for the work as an instrument given by the universal nature. But if it is not sufficient, then either I retire from the work and give way to him who is able to do it better, unless there be some reason why I ought not to do so; or I do it as well as I can, taking to help me the man who with the aid of my ruling principle can do what is now fit and useful for the general good. For whatsoever either by myself or with another I can do, ought to be directed to this only, to that which is useful and well suited to society. --

Rolling a 3: -- Is not the real---- we have it --- you will take home a fake----

Rolling a 4: -- Hello? Hello? is this thing on? Hello? --

Rolling a 5: There is no actual voice, but your character thinks there is one. The voice from it begins to mock your character.

Rolling a 6: -- Rescue will come soon -- stay tuned --- be vigilant-- stay by the portals---

ONCE AGAIN TO RECAP EVERYTHING

gaia_star [ RESPOND TO ORP PROMPT Respond to the orp prompt in PART 1.

gaia_star [ CREATE A RESCUE SOLO] with an Halloween/Deus character you own OR quest to save your current disposable character in PART 2.

gaia_star [ WHEN YOU FINISH IT ] You may now PRP/ ORP/ (PART 3) write solos using that rescue character. You can use any of the location prompts above. Some will let your disposable character wake up and interact for a bit!

gaia_star [ USING THE JUNKYARD/FACTION HOME BASES ] Due to unfamiliarity, RESCUING characters CANNOT access faction home bases. However, DISPOSABLE characters that have woken up temporarily can! Remember they only have 1 IC hour so they should use it wisely (though they won't ICly know they have one hour!).

When it comes to doing "daily tasks" etc for factions, just back rp it, or if your (victim) character is a 1 hour busybody they can come back to do their dailies for that time.

gaia_star [ What happens to these characters (especially actual characters)! ] Don't worry, at the end of this zone (event), all existing and quest/disposable characters will return back to their respective portals, that is guaranteed! For now, enjoy the RP!

Quite frankly, Shun wasn't sure why the hell he was doing this. Saving humans wasn't exactly high on his list of things to do. He had no real issue with normal humans, and he supposed it was within Halloween's interests to keep them... alive. But still. This typically wasn't a part of his agenda. Yet, here he was.

Then he heard the elf speak up. Either this was much more wide spread than he initially thought, or something had truly gone terribly wrong. He let out a sigh and closed his eye. He may as well go along with this. If this was a mass extinction event, then it really was within his best interests to help.

Before he knew it, he was shoved a pamphlet. He didn't bother reading it. Even after he was threatened to read it, he just gave it a quick look over. He wasn't going to waste his time trying to decipher that. Most likely, it was either filled with nonsense or common sense, he figured.

And so on he went, eventually making his way to the portals that were set up. He took notice of Red by the entrance.

Fog.

Was Insanity a part of this too? Or was there even more to it. He nodded grimly to the werewolf, then stepped on through. He wasn't sure what to expect, but the amount of fog that filled this place was... alarming. The world around seemed rather desolate and shattered. And so many creatures of fear, shadowlings, were about.

"Tsk..."

Time to get moving.

The Reaper spent quite some time roaming through the fog before he nearly tripped over a body on the ground. One that breathed. This one still lived. He peered down at the man, noting the eyepatch. The human was bigger than him, though. He didn't look all too light either. He glanced down at a ring on his own hand, considering attempting to shadowstep with the guy. He wasn't sure how well that'd work with a human, especially an unconscious one, though.

Cursing lowly under his breath, he began to grumble as he tried to figure out a way he might lug this guy to the portals.

Was it a good idea to entrust a ghost to save someone from dying?

Fortunately, Yuki was always willing to help someone. Whether not he would succeed in such a strange task as the one that they were now being given would remain to be seen. In the back of his mind he just imagined that, if he happened to fail, at least there'd be reapers around to lead the dearly departed back to Halloween with them. Then Yuki could show them around and share in the comforting news that at least they were no longer stuck in mortal bodies, and they wouldn't have all of their pesky past life memories to get them down.

It sounded good in his head. Even as he told himself that he should strive for keeping the human alive. The instructions were quite simple. He could do hugs. How hard could this possibly be?

He hesitated at the portal when it was his turn to pass through, dread settling in the pit of his stomach. Yuki noted that he wasn't the only one unsettled. Though, while he was concerned, the werewolf-weapon that he gazed up to looked angry.

Red's words did absolutely nothing to settle his worries, but he wordlessly nodded and set her warning to the forefront of his mind.

Yuki didn't know exactly what to expect, but the sight of the area that they all arrived in was, if he had to choose a single word, unnerving. Were there actually still people alive, here?

He walked along carefully, looking into empty vehicles and losing sight of others who had come through the portal before and after him. As the fog thickened, his anxiety rose. Yuki felt increasingly lost, and wondered if he should turn back.

His foot bumped something that hadn't felt like the debris he'd encountered up until that point, and he knelt down to investigate.

Well, he'd finally found one, and at least she seemed to be well even if unconscious. Now he just needed to gather her up and find his way back.

Titus had no idea why he was here. He truly didn't. His ability to care about the human world and what went on in it couldn't be lower and yet here he stood in front of Town Hall listening to a tiny little urchin go on and on about saving the species. Perhaps he was just curious, he had never ventured beyond Halloween. Not yet. Or perhaps it had been the subtle hints of blackmail over extended probation periods had fueled his motivation. Either way he was here now looking over his passport before he shoved it in his pocket for safe keeping.

A pamphlet was shoved in his hands a moment later and he looked at the front with an air of disgust. "How to save your human?" He made a face that said no thanks and got ready to ball up the glossy paper and toss it when he felt a smack to the back of his head. The threat was uttered about volunteering him more than once and he grumbled trying to smooth out the crinkles he had made the best he could before opening the pamphlet to read. It was brief, stupid, and a complete waste of ink. It came as no surprise.

Apparently the flimsy piece of paper counted as some sort of orientation and Titus could only shrug as he made his way toward the portals. He spotted Ariel along the way, remembering the last time he had found the school secretary asleep on a bench covered in trash. He could sympathize with being blackmailed but the subtle plea for apple cider gained a snort as Titus held out his hand for money. If he really wanted something he was going to pay for it.

When no funds were offered the demon simply moved on stepping through the portal only to be assaulted with gray as far as the eye could see. It was a murky thick fog that left him squinting. Was this really the human world? How could anyone live here?

Already he was irritable but he really couldn't turn back. Might as well play along and get it over with.

The fog thickened to the point he could barely see anything let alone the people he had come with. It was only when he noticed the ground beneath his feet had a little more give than usual did he look down. Oh look, a human. He supposed this one was as good as any, though he was rather big. Did he get extra points off his probation for this? He could only hope.

It didn't even sound like being roped in at all to Olivia, because quite frankly when she walked past the recruiters it sounded a lot more like a field trip to the human world. And oh boy, did she love field trips! (There might have been urgency to their gathering and pulling of those of Halloween, but she'd come to realize that sooner or later. Like when the cute little elf thing spoke up).

Olivia stared blankly at first at the little pamphlet was placed into her hands, detailing the instructions that she would need to have in order to save a human on her little trip. The pages were turned about various ways in her hands before actually being open, only prompted when someone from behind hit her over the head and demanded she do it.

Oh, they were much easier to read than she thought, hurray!

Her ice blue eyes skimmed over it a few times more as the portals leading to the human world were opened up, and only before heading through it did she catch the last bits of what the house elf was actually mentioning about the humans not being able to see them and all those by the entrance ready to escort them. "Oh!" She blinked, looking from Red to Arel and down to the little mini pet who barked up at her.

She didn't get much of a chance to chat, caught only a few words but not like it mattered as it would have confused her anyways.

What met her on the other side was not what she was used to at all from the few times she had gone over. Where was the movie theater (oh wait, that ruined building might be one) and the colors and the lights? It seemed so dreadful here that even she frowned. No wonder they wanted some of them to come over and help the humans. This seemed awful.

But she was here to help. Olivia balled her little fists and began marching forward, she looked so terribly determined even in her puffy dress and bouncy curls but the stern look on her face meant she was ready to anything.

Even the really thick fog.

This seemed maybe a little familiar. (Maybe).

The small wight wandered through, catching notice of the growing fog around her and the fact that she was unable to see anyone else who had gone through the portal with her. It was a small concern for her and it turned her around slightly but, it would be alright, right? (It would give her a chance to explore anywho).

She kept walking, passing a few shadowed creatures along the way, each gaining a long stare, and some unfriendly human looking things that kept trying to bite her. "No, don't!" She kept crying out, flailing to get them off. (They looked oddly similar to her, but not. Maybe these were those types her parents had told her about). She tried to avoid those as much as possible as she went further down the street.

Oh right, she was supposed to find a human.

Oh hey! There was one.

Olivia's hands waved excitedly finally locating one laying on the ground and she immediately skipped over and loomed above her. She seemed short, her hair was also and she was dressed in a very cute outfit with what... looked like some sort of bat symbol on it. The ghoul knelt down beside the human female and poked at her. And then again. Yup, she was not waking up. "Shouldn't be too bad," she chirped. Though she knew her own strength, she had never actually carried someone her own size before (or bigger). A rock maybe.. but... hm... she'd have to figure this out.

As an intermediate hunter, Shu had used to be called out suddenly for mission. The petite Asian quickly checked the weather of the destination and happily put on her lovely rain boots (with ribbon bows) instead of normal platform boots. The mission was about civilian rescue, like the mission taken in the mall with green-eye infected, led by Rep. That wasn't a good memory at all, many tough fights involved despite Rep's announcement was humorous. She hoped it didn't end up like that one. It was classified as Class S after all. In her raincoat and rain boots, she attended the debriefing session. They went to Canada through portal, the country of Maple leaves.

[ Read the entire message ]

Ah, it was zombie - or whatever they call it again. Shu put her phone down and withered for the coming fights with them. <No whining, hunter.> The ironic addressing received an eye roll from Shu. "Four hours? I wonder if it would be enough......" She mused, head in hands. While waiting for the portals to set up, she looked at the surrounding. Unlike the Island which was always sunny, the sky in Victoria seemed like it was so sad. <Aoi. They say the portals are ready.> Spacing out for a little while, her partner dragged her back to reality.

"Flashlight, headset, a map and snacks." She patted lightly on her SPECTRE watch, checked to make sure the devices were working before she packed them up in her bag. Shu took a glance at the leaders, they were all busy, seemed to be. Their leader disliked inefficiency and upheld order while the assistant - Shu sighed - he was never serious. As a result she turned to the leader with bright colored hair, Allan, she had heard a lot from the others about him.

[ Ask the Sun lead a question ]

"Excuse me Sir, we can't use the hunter pendant for picking up?" The petite hunter raised a question. As if he was waiting for someone to come to him, the man beamed and posed like some anime characters. Shu blinked in confusion, wondered if she was simply too stupid to understand what he said. She guessed there was a no then. "Ah POCKY! The heart shaped strawberry flavour, you're so nice, thank you!" Just one second later, she already changed her mind, sweet food bribe always worked.

Putting the snacks all into her bag and fix the headset, she hopped through the mission portal and straightly swallowed by grey fogs. Shu took the flashlight out her bag and lit it on, "This is a Canadian city? More like post-apocalypse setting in movie or anime." <This is not sight-seeing.> She waved in dismissal, moving slowly forwards. It was the first time she saw shadowlings' formation, it was amusing but she wondered where they get so much fear from.

Another problem was the infected, despite the fact that they moved very, really very slowly and she could easily dodge their assaults, it was annoying to have something vehemently tailed you.

What could be causing the destruction? Shu examined the profile of the area as she moved into the deeper part of the fog. It recalled her of one external mission that they explored in thick fog like that, it was too thick to make out any allies or enemies.

A long while later, she thought she might get the answer. She gazed at the pulsating green vines on the concretes, they resembled those appeared on the island when there was a severe virus outbreak.

Z? Z? Talk to me, Z. <What's up?> It's too quiet. She hated to be alone, separated from people she knew. She moved the flashlight slowly to search behind the large concretes piled up. Was there any survivors in a mess like that? She flickered the light left and right, and paused - whipped her flashlight back to the previous position she shone on - She found one!

After an hour she found someone. She quickly scooted over, it was her hair that reflected a brighter light. Making sure she was a human, she then checked her breathe and status. "Miss, can you hear me?" There was no feedback, she needed to bring her back to the portals.

[Rei entering!]

"..."
The tsukumogami frowned. Sure, he wanted to see the Human world again after the events that left him in this state, but...

-not 'that' way. Not being guilt-tripped into works like this. Not being literally roped with ghost-binding rope, be darned whoever created it, and set into a death-march into a crumbling 'world'.

It doesn't help that the small house-elf was screaming something ominous like 'humanity will became extinct, and so will Halloweeners'.

"Haaa." He looked at the pamphlet in his hand: 'How to Save your Human!' The steps are very simple, like abducting taking a kitten for play or something. Was the 'step 5: Yay!' even necessary?

The line moved, and he was handed something like a passport. It was said that the particular item was a manmade...scratch that, nonhuman-made relic that enables them to retain a certain level of FEAR so they will not dissipate. A small minipet dressed like a...

...why?

-playboy bunny (wat) greeted him just before he entered one of the portals. Rei suddenly heard a voice in your head as the minipet stares at him < Use the time well. You might not be able to try again! >

"...thanks?"

He entered the portal, bracing himself for everything that could happen. One hand on his chest, ready for drawing 'that' in case if there's danger-

*step*

"-nght!?"

A strange sense of drowsiness and gray...everything welcomes him. This 'world' is unlike the human world he knew; it was in ruins. There's...something squirming in the shadows. Aside from humanoid-shaped things that stings his vision, there was nothing else but remains of chaos. One by one, the volunteers stepped out from the neatly lined portals---

WHOOOOSH

A sudden gale of wind blew the fog into their direction; for some reason, his ghostly perception are severely limited by this fog-is there something...unnatural creating it? Even his [Jack] ability doesn't work-

Thud.
"-erg!"
"Hmm?"
As he walked around, his solidified plasmic feet stomped something soft. Because his body was not made from ectoplasm like most ghosts, but rather pure electrical plasma, 'something' that he stomped was electrocuted and lightly screamed-

It was a man almost past his prime with rounded belly and thinning hair. On his hand was a modified shovel. The man's name is...

Thezil's skellyvision set filtered between static and color bars, unsure.

But a calling pulled him towards agreeing to their wheedling demands-- or perhaps, it was just guilt.

It was hard to tell. But life has a way of coming full circle, sooner or later. Thezil accepted his passport without much grace, and bore the consequences of listening to tiny house elves who delivered guilt trips outside of grocery stores.

(But... Somewhere, on an island far, far away, was a luxurious office. In this office, next to a pair of fossilized hands of ebony and cobalt, was a jar. Within this jar was Thezil's own head, pickled and preserved. It floated listlessly, without any life whatsoever. It did not move, or blink, or react.

It was lost to him, forever.

But all around this head, other forces began to move, towards the portals, towards rescue operations heading to the same location that Thezil was. Had he not lost his head and become Thezil, he too would have been on his way to Victoria, British Columbia.

And then, perhaps, Clerise Wilson would have rescued Genevieve Sette O'Leary, divorced twenty years prior from Wade Wilson, her father.

But fate had other ideas. Clerise had lost her head. Jenny had lost hers, too, in other ways.

And now it was Thezil, rescuing a stranger, who would be familiar, but in a way that neither of them would be able to place.

How strange.)

Especially after all the recent emergencies that had transpired on the island, it just seemed kind of obvious to respond to yet another one. Even if it turned out to not be on it at all - there were civilians involved after all! (There was that other mall incident....)

Milo arrived in a well enough time frame from the island once those portals had been made stationary, dressed and supplied as needed; coat, Gaim jacket (thanks for giving that back forever ago Chel) underneath since Canada just seemed like a cold place, scarf, food, some candy and miscellaneous items (some of them really of no use at all). And read the mission briefing a few times over, taking a few mental notes of a few key details that might some in handy.

"Dude, Allan-taichou, this connected to any of the stuff that's been happening lately?" He asked his lead before departing out.

Of course he didn't get much of an answer, but beamed all the same. Plus, hey, he got some awesome snacks, "awesome! Thanks, my supplies been running low, ya! Mahalo plenty!" He stuffed the boxes in empty corners of his pack and placed one in his pocket in case.

And was soon off.

To such a dismal looking place of depression. "Dude, its like those alternate world episodes. Or Wizard's Gate worlds." Of course he could find references to like everything.

< Stay alert, aho. > Koume grumbled. He could tell she itched to be summoned, that she didn't like this place at all. He kind of didn't either, it read like a lot of scenarios from his beloved shows and just looked bad. There were cars everywhere, abandoned, buildings were in ruin and he hadn't even walked like ten feet.

The longer he walked, the more decay he noticed and the weird forms of the infected milling about. Yeah, this .. seemed a little familiar? (Maybe not just from island experiences, but just horror movies in general).

He too noticed those particular vines, "Aaa, nope." And made clear to avoid those - and made note.

Milo checked on his radio a few times as he pressed on, stepping further into the eerie encompassing fog until he finally located at least one civilian - aha, mission! - laying unconscious on the ground. (Sadly tripped over her. Koume hissed at him). She was pretty old from the looks of it, not too well off either, but a brief check of her vitals at least alerted him that she was alive.

"Alright, wahine," If she knew what it meant, maybe she'd get a chuckle, "Let's get you to safety, ya?" At least she didn't seem like she'd be too hard to manage.

Aphrodi paused in the town square, what was a, "MRTHATSFH?" he read, being a feline he'd probably made the same sound while stretching out after a nice nap. He'd been begged to stay and listen, just for a minute he'd been told. Why not? He'd just been checking out tow anyway for something to do.

"This is worldwide catastrophe! Humans everywhere will become extinct! Halloween will cease to exist! Stop the end of the world now!"

End of the world? What was that floppy-ear talking about? However before Aphrodi could walk away, thinking the elf delusional, he was handed a pamphlet. He was surprised to see more than one engaged in this gathering, so he took the folded paper and flipped through it. Really he only had to flip threw it, the pages really didn't have much substance to them.

They wanted them -him- to go over to the human world and bring a human... back? He wasn't given time to voice any concerns though and found himself in a fast moving line through a portal that he knew wasn't there a few minutes ago. A werewolf gave him a passport and a warning. Then Aphrodi was going through the portal.

"Wait!' He yelped. "I haven't been to the human world before!" However he was already through the portal and surrounded by lingering fog.

He didn't know where he was suppose to go, was a human even around here at all? Wait, how was he suppose to know when he'd found a human, look for the only thing that- that what? They walked on their hind legs, the same as creeple right? So humans were shaped much like creeple. Maybe he should have stayed at school today and picked up a class, he really wasn't prepared for this. Shadowlings and creeple-shaped things, were all Aphrodi could make out as he walked in the thick fog. He couldn't see far any more.

Then he bumped into it. It was small, even in his creeple-form the Byakko demon was bigger than it. It was peach colored, and purple and red. Ow. Looked like the time he'd missed a landing and fell through a tree, hitting all the branches on the way down. This was a human? It didn't look... weird. He'd thought humans would look weird. Was it alive?

Aphrodi lost all evidence of his true form in this shape, otherwise his ears would be pitched forward and the tip of his tail beating a rhythm. He bent down to get a closer look. Well it was breathing, so this one was his he figured. He lifted a paw- hand- he still fell back on old habits, and *bap* right on the human. It stayed asleep.

Felicia rolled out of bed in the most literal sense, startling awake with a dignified snort, wheezing as she managed to pull her uniform digs on. But she'd managed to make it to the portal in time for the briefing in the frigid rain, an umbrella happily held over her head with a beaming grin.

The description sounded awful, but it also sounded an awful lot like zombies, which was she was always, admittedly, here for.

Because Allan is, admittedly, her not-so-secret favourite, Felicia sidled up to him for snacks and drinks, which she tucked away into voluminous pockets, to be saved for later.

....She did, also, steer clear of the ******** vines--

And stumbled onto a filthy looking brunet, whose only distinguishing feature was that she was filthy. Huh.
