Oscar's running slowed to a stop when he arrived at the area, head instinctively turning backwards. He had to check if the figure was still there-- Nope, it was good. His body relaxed considerably and he released a loud sigh, putting both hands on his legs and bending over. He needed to calm his heartbeat down, at least to some extent. Panting and laying on the nearest wall, Oscar let his eyes fall shut. The moment he did, however, a sound, so natural to his old self he barely even recognized it until it sounded, rung throughout the halls.

      A phone.

He squinted. What the ********? Was-- Was that a phone ringing? What the ********-- That would require electricity, and, Oscar dully noted as he flipped the nearest switch-- There wasn't any. Oscar rubbed his neck and pushed himself off the wall, shuffling over toward the continuously ringing noise and rounding the corner.

There it was. The phone. Oscar swallowed, wincing as he heard it echo throughout the room. He swallowed hard, glancing hesitantly around the room before eventually letting his gaze settle again, on the phone. It kept ringing innocently. He nervously bit the inside of his cheek, cracking his neck, clearing his throat, hand reaching out to grab it-- before stopping. What if-- He didn't even let his thought process finish. He let his hand fall upon it and lifted the phone to his ear nervously, hiccups sliding into his ears. Help, He heard, Please, please, help me. The voice sounded eerily familiar. "L-Len... Lenny?!" His voice broke from surprise and worry before clearing his throat again and hunching into the phone, looking around. "What the s**t, <********> Len, are you okay?!" He only heard whimpers in response, and as the adrenaline coursed through his veins like water touching toilet paper, he couldn't resist from asking-- "Where are you!? I-- I'll head right--" He hadn't even finished his sentence when a soft click made him stop, eyes going wide. ********-- ********, <********> Was the line cut off? Did-- He die!?! His throat went dry and Oscar looked at the phone, panicking. ********, he needed to find him, needed to find him now.

Another ring slid through his ears, again, nearby. Oscar instantly slammed the phone he had closed before running out the door, towards the sound-- He didn't even check before he entered, he merely grabbed the phone and pressed it to his ear, barking a loud-- "Hello?! Len?!"

It was another voice-- This time, one that made his stomach churn. Help, help me, help me please, He heard, and Oscar's hand clenched the receiver tighter. "Wataru, Wataru, I'll go, I'll head over, I just need to know where--" The line went dead, and Oscar's heart stopped. This was emotionally taking a toll on the man, slowly placing the phone down before hearing another phone ringing in the distance. He ran again, this time-- If it was Wataru or Len, maybe, maybe he could help, maybe, maybe he could be their hero-- "Hello?!" He picked up the phone, hearing a deafening groaning in his ears, loud sobs of help, shuffling-- "Sawyer, Sawyer, what the ********--" A loud HELP cut him off, making the mans eyes dart around nervously. If what was happening was making even Sawyer freak out, it must've been terrible-- Were they all together?! "Where are you?!? Sawyer, don't hang up, where are--" A little click, and the phone went silent again. Oscar's jaw clenched. He grabbed the phone, slamming it on the floor with terrible emotion, anger coursing through his veins, releasing a loud scream of anger. This was making him frustrated, the calls, the hanging up, asking if they were okay...

      Again, a phone rang.

Oscar stormed over toward it, picking it up. "Len, Wataru, Sawyer-- ********, tell me something other than help me! Tell me, please, are you guys okay?!"

The voice he'd heard made his grip on the phone lessen.

      Renita.

It must've been a joke. Renita-- Renita never asked for help. Rather, never asked him. Oscar swallowed.

It was now that he realized it was a lie. The voice suddenly died down.

      Oscar slowly closed the phone.

OOC: SCENARIO 4

Scenario requirements: A phone begins to ring as you wander the inside of the hospital. At first you do not want to pick it up, but the noise persists. You wander multiple rooms, and there are multiple phones. Each one you pick is a voice from a person you recognize, begging you for help. Whenever you ask where they are, they hang up. The ringing continues, over and over. If you are RPing this with multiple people, all of you hear the ringing, coming from various phones. It is up to you when your character comes to the realization that the ringing is all in their heads, (or if they need other chars to help them realize so!)

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
