OOC: SCENARIO 4 Scenario requirements: A phone begins to ring as you wander the inside of the hospital. At first you do not want to pick it up, but the noise persists. You wander multiple rooms, and there are multiple phones. Each one you pick is a voice from a person you recognize, begging you for help. Whenever you ask where they are, they hang up. The ringing continues, over and over. If you are RPing this with multiple people, all of you hear the ringing, coming from various phones. It is up to you when your character comes to the realization that the ringing is all in their heads, (or if they need other chars to help them realize so!) When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter. Characters involved: Solo: Shouichi Extra effect: All players need to follow this effect. Go HERE and COPY AND PASTE the LATEST effect posted and place it here. This is now IC to this thread. [ Infection Rate ]: 55 /100 OOC Character's name: Shouichi Character's faction: Apartments Character's journal link: Journal Character's survival stats: Stats

Wandering the hospital, with one incident right after the other. It seemed that he couldn't even get a moment of rest here; compared to the factions and the casino, it was strange. As if the hospital was drawing, luring them into the abyss .Ringing of the phones..? That wouldn't make sense—after all, the hospital shouldn't have electricity. Therefore, it wasn't surprising when the doctor ignored it. But as he passed from room to room, the ringing persisted. Even phones that had no electricity were somehow able to ring. Throwing a phone out the window didn't stop it, even if it alleviated the doctor's growing aggravation.
"Let's try it and see, shall we?" Since it was so insistent, perhaps it wouldn't stop until he answered it. He told himself as he picked up the first phone call.
"—Help!" It was the familiar voice of the nurse. "Sorry, can't help you." Sho hung up the phone. Another phone call erupted before the phone was fully back in its cradle. This time, it was the voice of an surgical intern he had known. "Where are you even calling from?" He asked, and was met with dead silence.
Beep, beep, beep They had hung up on him?! After their impudence for asking for help.
"Please save me!" – "Why don't you try somebody else who would be glad to help?" The doctor wasn't in the mood, or the situation where he could afford to help somebody else. Not when he had people to search for, people to find.
The next call, Sho decided to intervene even before they asked for help. "This is the answering mach-"
"Help!" So they weren't really listening after all.. And all of them seemed interested in one thing, help. Not information, not supplies. Shouichi took a moment to lean back against an abandoned desk and think about the situation. Even the rining wasn't enough to disturb his concentration when he really needed it. Where were all these people calling from? The hospital was nearly empty, save for the escapees from the casino and the strange entities. Yet it wasn't the escapees, because the doctor was very familiar with those voices. They brought to mind the people he worked with, those he had greeted every day and interacted with. The ringing continued though, never pausing even for a moment. With the last few incidents, Sho came to a conclusion. The ringing wasn't real. Even if he believed he was hearing it, it wasn't real.
In a place teeming with the infection, they could no longer trust their senses completely. Everything would have to be ascertained with a grain of salt. Something was messing with their heads.. And he didn't appreciate it at all.
