OOC: SCENARIO 2 Scenario requirements:Your character steps into one of the hospital rooms accidentally and blacks out. When they wake up, they realize everyone around them is an Infected (terminal virus stage). The hallucinations have gone to their head, making them believe they are all Infected, including themselves. React accordingly. PVP is turned on, but if your character takes more than -10 damage, they snap back to the reality of the situation. If more than one character, all characters believe the same. Instead of hitting themselves/each other for -10 damage they can also choose to write an "identity crisis" solo or 250 words about what they plan to do knowing they are Infected. After they do so they snap back to awareness and realize that they are still okay for now. When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter. Characters involved: Juliette Carver Extra effect: Have flashlight ~

Her hands at some point had lost their grip on Alex's sleeve and his hold on her had vanished as well. Juliette found herself alone wandering the dark hospital halls. Would it be pointless to go find the medical attention he said he needed? Perhaps if she found the right room he had turned into, she could find him again. It was tempting to double back, but Juliette feared of the noises she heard behind her. Instead she kept going, her fingers gliding across the wall to keep some sort of notation of where she actually was.
Most of the doors along the way remained locked, she observed after trying a few of the handles. One though, with only so much as a little push, seemed to open. Stepping inside, however, suddenly overwhelmed her. Was it pressure? A scent? She was unsure. Juliette was just suddenly on the ground passed out.
When she came to, her body still lay where it had hit the ground. Her body, however, felt hot and feverish and clammy. Her stomach ached. She pushed herself against the wall and breathed heavily. She was infected - they were already infected, she had heard them say - but this. This, this wasn't like it was before. Juliette looked at her hands, they were shaking and peeling and she could only imagine that it was like that all over.
"Oh dear," was the best she could do as she choked back tears. This was it for her - was it for all of them? Was everyone like this now? Had they all blacked out, it was possible, but she didn't know - there was nothing else she could do but sit there. Alex had mentioned medicine, but that hadn't aided in the first wave that had hit the city so what was it going to do now? The best she could consider was staying where she was, if others were safe they would be safer without her. Juliette placed her head in her hands.
"I'm.. so sorry," she couldn't fight back the tears now. In the casino she had said she would help everyone of Clearview and she had determined that promise would extend outside of those walls.. it would have here. But staying away now was all she could do to help them. To not infect them any further than they already were, to sate the illness and to possibly not hurt them. It was her only plan, the only one.
Though, it was also a little tempting to go outside and away from the hospital. To finally uncover where she had seen Duchess Dirtypaw's rotting body in the ground. Maybe to lay with her once last time and pet that soft fur. Find comfort in her final hours of awareness with ones she loved so much as she was unable to do with the original eight. But what if she ran into someone? She would only crush her resolve.
A few tears rolled down her cheek as Juliette stayed there, curled against the wall, trying to make herself look small and unnoticeable so no one else would dare to pass her or see her. Only so slightly did she shift and pulled her hands from her face.
The peeling was gone, she realized. For a moment she panicked, but looking over her hands she found the signs she had seen before had vanished. Her palms were sweaty, yes, but they were no longer clammy and her feverish symptoms seemed to have gone as well.
Had it been in her head all along?
Yes. The whispers told her, something that at least remained.
Juliette gasped a shuddering cry as she pressed a hand to her chest. She was alright... alright..... in a matter of speaking. But she would sit there just a little longer before she got up to go find Alex once again.
