Flexing his arm slowly Oscar opened and closed his hand, finding it a lot easier to do now that he'd rested up. Of course, new day, you start out with 100 HP. Even if it wasn't visible. Following his faction through the procession of people the street, the curious Oscar flexed his now healed shoulder easily, thankful for the in-game buffs before seeing an amazingly bright-light catch his vision. Oh my god. Was that...?! A casino. Holy ******** did Oscar love betting. The first thing he did was head on over to the flashing, glowing lights, eyes widening and shining in bewilderment. Definitely "the place to be" at the moment. Opening the doors, Oscar instinctively chose left, picking up a branch on the way and smiling as he waltzed deeper into the place. This is totally my turf.
OOC
Character's name: Oscar Owens Character's faction: Apartments Character's journal link:JOURNAL Character's survival stats: STATS BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Standing at a tall 6'0ft, Oscar is olive skinned with golden-brown hair and grey eyes. He's physically large and looks like he has some muscle.
The first thing that hit him was the smell of alcohol, cigarette smoke hitting his nostrils like a hammer. While it'd been forever since he'd last smelt any of this, he definitely visibly relaxed at the sight of others the games and eagerly took the cocktail, uncaring. Listening to him speak, he nodded along with what he said, in a daze. It was crazy, really. Almost felt fake. What a crazy mini-game, he thought, taking the 50 casino coins and thrusting them in his pocket. He made a beeline to blackjack, but he guessed since it'd been so long since he last played, he lost. Still rusty, huh.
Sipping the margarita, Oscar placed it to the side and focused on the game again, feeling a wave of sleep and nausea hit him all at once.
He awoke to the feeling of tied down, tired and groggy, struggling. His eyes squinted and watered the moment he tried to open them all the way, and with no way to push them away, he was left to blink furiously. Finally, he heard the blaring speakers pulse in his ears, disorienting him for a second. He tried to listen, but everything felt so surreal-- Buying? "...If you wish to escape, and you must do so by the end of this day, you must buy out your own value or we will buy you." A chill like none other slid down his spine, eyes widening into slits as his jaw clenched heavily. This game was getting too serious, what sort of a sub-area was this?! He swallowed hard and opened his mouth to bark a question, but due to being restricted, he was blatantly ignored. A snarl pulled from his throat as he felt weightless for a second-- Did they just lift him?!
He was soon placed in a room with two people-- A beautiful girl and a young highschooler. They both looked extremely scared, for some reason. Losers? Well, if he was going to save anyone, it'd have to be... "The lady, of course." He had to be a proper hero! Watching her calm down and the kid begin to scream and flail, Oscar felt a sick sense of curiosity seep into him after he disappeared into it. He stared at the room door curiously. "What's in there?" The lady was against it, but once Oscar's curiosity was piqued, it was hard to pull him back. "Are you sure you want to know?" "What is in there?"
He watched silently as the lady disappeared behind the door and-- "Wait, where--" Buzzing? A splat-- His eyes showed blatant fear as he saw the room, watching the lady become simply packages. The bile in his stomach rose abruptly. What the ********. What the ******** killed her.
The shock of their deaths was still coursing through his body by the time he reached the end of the hallway.

The shock wouldn't shake off him. He couldn't stop picturing the body of the girl become a mangled mess of flesh and innards, and he had to grap onto something to be able to process what he'd seen. He killed the damsel in distress. He killed the kid. This place, this place would kill him. No, his avatar, it'd kill his avatar, right?! Fantasy was blurring with reality, and all Oscar could do was try to find out which was which. He slid a hand through his hair and groaned, laying the back of his head on the wall, holding himself. He had no idea what to do now, and frankly, would really like to see at least someone he recognized.
Now more than ever, as he looked around the casino for a familiar face, Oscar felt a deep feeling of nervousness and most of all, loneliness, rattle his body. Where was Lenny? Wataru? Even b***h one and two... His neighbors... Is this... Really a game?
