She left the safety zone, and walked back to zone one for more missions. She didn't expect the worst scenario happened on herself, when she was searching for possible foods and drinks. No longer covered in rotten fleshes and blood, the creature walked towards her was a black silhouette with spikes protruding from its body. The green eyes glowed and locked on her, it groaned low as it approached.
She immediately walked backward, slowly but kept her eyes on the creature. It should be what others called undying. It was the worst situation, she was sweating cold. Even though she could use the whistle, since it might draw the infected's attention and put her and those who came to rescue her in danger, she didn't. It was different from the infected, its vision was good as a human and she had no idea of its strength compared to a normal person.
Anyway, she had to fight it as it already blocked the only path. She hopped to take cover behind a nearby tree and threw a big rock towards it as she changed her position.

Gretel was a gamer, and in the game she dealt with the zombies nimbly. Sadly, it wasn't a game and her physical strength was much worse than the protagonist. Plus, she didn't get an effective weapon yet. It was risky to set up traps but seeing the rock bounced off its body like nothing, she thought she had to rely on her wisdom.

After the trap that pierced its foot, it became more cautious when Gretel pretended to run away from it. She tossed a rock at it but it didn't work.

She picked a rock and used a tree branch to shoot it at the creature.

She quickly switched her position as the undying cringed and checked the place the rock hit and then she did the same thing again.

Gretel immediately moved to hide up behind another tree when the creature rushed for the noise, hands turning around for its prey. She picked up a rock and quietly moved to another position before she flung it at the undying in order to give it the wrong information.

It seemed like her lame attacks were working, the creature paused occasionally to rest before it grabbed a tree up and threw at her direction. She ducked it barely and couldn't throw the stone in her hand at all.
