Harper’s head was still a fuzzy despite the bandages that where wrapped now around her head and arms. Blood loss they had told her, she was suppose to stay and not to move but there was no way that she could stay and take it easy knowing that others were still out there trying to get the help of the Harbringers on their side.

She kept moving through the street, her body slow in every response despite her struggle to move quickly, keeping to the shadows. Sometimes her head would start to spin as if she stood up to fast or if she spun around too many times in a circle.

Harper had been moving silently not wanting to get near any of the shadows, her head still feeling as if the entire world was put on a boat and it was swaying beneath her on the waves. Her knees where turning slowly into weird rubber bands as she leaned against a crumbling wall of a long forgotten building. Pressing the palm of her hand to her head she started to wonder why she had decided to do this alone, why did she have to be so easily stubborn to run out without looking back.
Taking a step forward she paused, something moved, something from the corner of her eye was moving out of the shadows. Infected. Curling her hands into a fist she tried to run forward her legs still feeling as if the world moved underneath.
She couldn’t make it to the infected, her legs shook as everything turned the creature into fuzz.

Stumbling back Harper took a deep breath of air as she tried to get her head to stop reeling around like it was still stuck on a merry go round. A few steps forward and swung barely making any contact with the infected.

Harper only for a second closed her eyes and shook her head, she had to focus, and she had to push out the idea that there was something wrong with her. The infected was slow, she could use that if she kept far enough way, just like she had done in the bathroom’s at the dorm. A few skip like steps and Harper did a swift kick into the infected’s side.

She circled around, keeping her feet moving as she kept her hands up raised as if she was getting ready to punch in kick boxing class. The infected shuffled around only to be greeted with a swift kick straight into the lungs. The infected stumbled backwards for a few steps before hitting the ground with a gurgling groan. Harper’s head started to swirl but she tried to shove it down as she made her way forward placing one foot on its chest and pulling with what every might to tear the arm out of its socket. It took a few tugs but with a disgustingly squelching noise it pulled a part. A shiver ran down Harper’s spine as she wasted no time in leaving and getting back for her reward.
