Rajni saw it from the corner of her eye. Movement behind the bench in the decrepit church she was investigating. She figured there wasn't much room for religion, especially when there was a potential undying in front of her. Or perhaps that made it more necessary. It didn't really matter, she was atheist.

"Show yourself," she said, gripping her candlestick a little tighter. She was ready to fight.

Rajni was, perhaps, a little too trusting. It was her nurse training honestly; she couldn't hear "injured" and think nothing of it.

"Oh s**t," she said, not tucking the candlestick away completely, but lowering it enough to show that she was friendly. "I'm sorry. How injured?" She had her ugly black eye, but she'd been seeing people with broken legs and head trauma. She figured she got off easy.

Then it hit Rajni that she'd actually been out here for a reason, not just bumbling around.

"Are you from the apartments? I don't think I've seen you." She knew there were other people- they occassionally got whispers or run-ins. Rajni had never seen any herself, but she thought his clothes were too clean to be factionless.

Rajni thought that was fair, actually. But she also wasn't ******** around with pleasantries here.

"Listen, the harbingers gave me a list of bullshit questions to ask other factions. I'm just attempting to figure out if I can do my job." If not, she was more than happy to move on.

Rajni's whole body sagged with a sigh. At least he wasn't going to be difficult. That made this stuff that much easier.

She sat on one of the pews (not near any of the visceral remains) and pulled out the paper they'd given her, along with the pencil.

"Okay ... first one ... I guess your name is probably important." As a sign of solidarity. "I'm Rajni. From the apartments."

Ritsa stumbled into the two strangers vicinity. Clutching her side against the pain of her cracked rib. It was still hard to move and breath, but survival was critical at this point. Voices up ahead lured her into the area so she could get a better listen and only then did she realize that not only were they asking questions that she too had been given to ask but there was a slight possibility that maybe she could also get the information if she pitched in.

"W-wait. I'm from the mall District... if you're willing to answer back. I'll give you my own answers." Ritsa offered as she came out from where she lingered in the dark. "I'm Ritsa Tiblon." She cringed and moaned as she spoke.

Justin didn't expect a fruitful gem of info to be revealed, but this had him instantly on alert, writing it down with underlines and everything. "You don't say? I thought there was an accident at the uni's labs that caused this, but its baseless accusation." the other person didnt even make its presence known till now, Justin snapping his head in the sounds direction with a pencil barred fist raised and clenched.

"I am Justin, University" he mentioned again, ignoring the notion that he had to repeat himself, even if it was another person. "You don't sound too well, are you one of them?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm from the apartments." Rajni was both irritable from the increase in people (were there more? Would they attract undying? Were they making too much noise?) and from the repetition of dialogue.

Moving on, she looked at the other two. "Do you think we're going to be rescued ..." It was both a question on her list of required questions, and something she'd been pondering herself.
