Her head still felt heavy from the lose of blood an her sides ached where the others had attempted to patch her up. It would have been lovely if there had been a few more first aid kits handy, or that there had been a hospital near by to tend to her wounds. Or well, none of this had happened but what could you do about that. She would have to press on, maybe just take it a little bit slower. Use some walls when needed to steady herself as she moved.
Goodness, she felt dizzy.
But she had decided to try going to the communications tower that she had heard existed. It was something she could probably do. Or well, it seemed like it would be easy enough if it weren't for those poor infected looking not-so-people lingering around at the base of it. Hopefully in her older age, they wouldn't notice her. Or her slowness would make her blend into the crowd just a wee bit.
She didn't.
Her foot managed to hit a trash can, causing such a ruckus and alerting the nearby little horde. It was eerie how they all turned at once and seemed to scream in her direction. "Oh goodness," she wheezed and grabbed onto a nearby wall to push her back in the direction she had come. Using that momentum, she ran as fast as her fatigued body could manage to a safer zone and out of harms way. (Barely).
