While THE MIGHTY MOOSE was certainly still wholeheartedly searching for SMALLER MOOSE, he saw fit to attempt to complete tasks for his fellow apartment dwellers along the way. One of these was gathering umbrellas.
Personally, THE MIGHTY MOOSE saw no need for an umbrella. As such, his own personal umbrella was more about style than practicality. Still, every resident needed one to maintain access to the building, and it was the least he could do to scoop up a few for his Fellow Citizens while he was out and about.
It was surprising how prevalent they were.
He passed a garden gnome, spotting an urn near it on the porch of yet another abandoned apartment. "AHA," he cried somberly. A traditional black umbrella. Complete with convenience hook and spiked tip. Probably as good at fending off infected as it was at keeping one dry.
He hooked it into the hip of his speedo.
The next he found at the post office just down the road. It was not in the best shape. However, with some very persuasive fanangaling, he managed to get it into a semblance of it's former glory.
He continued down the lane a short ways, wary of leaving the safety of their home base. He almost turned to go back when he spotted a bright green slash across the pavement. He lifted it gingerly, opening it with care.
A child's umbrella. He hoped it's owner was in a better place.
With that sobering discovery, he headed back, to deliver his goods and report his findings.
