Who here thinks that even though we'll find out about Beatrice, we STILL WON'T KNOW who she is?

I think we'll find out a lot about her, but not completely. Kind of like TUA. We didn't learn anything about Lemony Snicket, although the whole VFD thing was partially explained. By the end of the book, we didn't know exactly what VFD was, but we had then general idea. I believe that that's what The Beatrice Letters will be like. Some answers, but a lot more questions.

Yeah I'm thinking it'll be the same as TUA. Some answers and some that just lead to more questions. Then again, the clues are one of the more intriguing things about the series. 3nodding

Kawaii-Star gonk I still need to get TUA. Oh, you should, it's (in my opinion) the coolest read ever. It's not a linear story or anything, it's this mish-mash of letters, photos, transcripts... I love it. I recommend reading it after Book the Eighth 'cause that's when it was originally published, but I suppose it doesn't really matter. If you can, get a hold of a hard-cover copy. It seems that I only ever see it in paperback now, but the slipcover is definately worth a couple extra bucks.

When I looked at the cover I thought it was a picture book surprised
Does anyone know what kind of book it will come out to be? I'm thinking something like TUA, with photos, strange information, etc.. confused

Found some more interesting tidbits on what the book might contain: (from Barnes and Noble) Quote: FROM THE PUBLISHER On the cusp of the last book in A Series of Unfortunate Events, Lemony Snicket offers an unprecedented compilation of evidence encoded in a collection of revealing correspondence. Collected by Mr. Snicket himself and delivered to HarperCollins under cover of night, this exquisite collection of intriguing correspondence sheds light on many of the mysteries surrounding Lemony Snicket and A Series of Unfortunate Events. Including: What was Count Olaf like as a boy? What will happen in Book The 13th? What are the ingredients in a really good root beer float? This groundbreaking interactive package contains letters between Lemony Snicket and Beatrice as well as letters of the alphabet hidden throughout the package; unscramble it all and you will uncover what the future holds. Also, Amazon listed the publish date as Sept 1 while B&N says it's the 5th so I think we can expect the book out early Sept.

If only all books were like that, the world would be much more interesting! xd I think the TUA and Beatrice Letters were (and will be) the most interesting ASOUE books. The "mish-mash" format of everything makes it much more interesting to read, because you have to sort through all the stuff, re-read evidence, and draw your own conclusions about stuff. It is also the best book to get if you want to learn the Sebald Code. I bet the Beatrice Letters will be very similar in format, and I can't wait to read what Lemony and Beatrice wrote to each other!
