How long does it take cracked ribs to heal? 3-6 weeks with pain killers and bed rest. What am I doing? Fighting freaks of nature, scouring for resources and hoping I don't get blown up by a grenade again.
We're barely hanging in there right now, the other factions seem bigger then a prison, makes sense though more people outside then in, even if we have the best place to hold up. Prisons aren't exactly easy to just waltz in unless some one walks you in with cuffs on. Still we got the bright idea to help the raiders or try and win some favor, get more gear to get by. It's helped some. The prison has enough to get us by in general but as individuals? Barely.
I've seen people half blind, def, and limping about like me clinging to their sides. I'm doing better but it's a constant frustration feeling that pain in my side and seeing that stupid bruise.
Even before that things where going down hill, I was originally at the University when things went down, at the time I held up in the clinic on campus but after things didn't improve I made my way across town towards the prison. Biggest police station right? Wrong. Most of the police where dead, Warden was fine though, brought us in and gave us a home. Did what I could to help others but the number injured? We probably ended up wasting supplies we could have used now if we hadn't tried to help others in the first place. Now we find our selves here, making deals with raiders.
I also hear stories, someone posted on a board in the prison, saying that the freaks aren't the real problem, something about thorns. They must have made it into the radio tower, I ended up running off when a horde of freaks heard me. Go figure? Surgeons have to be calm and precise and I knock a pile of rubble over to scream HEY GUYS FRESH EATS.
It's getting time to head out again though, I've gota see what other stuff I can do to contribute to the group. If we don't win favor with the Bandits we might leave with less then just empty hands....
