Scenario requirements:Your character wanders around outside, too scared to go into the hospital, too scared to go back to the fog. At some point the fog encroaches, and envelops them entirely. They begin to hear voices from all directions, and it directly shatters their psyche as they are no longer able to process or comprehend what or who they are. They wander the fog for hours, trapped in a state of non-living, as they begin to develop several personas, and talk to each persona of themselves to cope with the situation.
Eventually the effect subsides, and they escape the fog, feeling shaken. It feels like however, a switch has become undone, and they might become unstable again, to the point of even being taken over by the other personas.
If rping this event with multiple people, you only have to pick ONE person to get trapped by the fog, as the other people simply search for them. At the end as the fog recedes they can find them again!
When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter Characters involved: Solo Jacob Thatch Extra effect:
WE ARE HALLOWEEN
This is a NEW effect and replaces all prior ones!
- Mobs from the mod thread NO LONGER spawn in new threads. - Bosses when repelled successfully decrease your infection rate by -10! - If your character "recognizes" the original form of the GM boss, it can ICly call out to them. This will let them do double damage for the rest of the battle!

Maybe, just maybe, Bing had been very right about the inside of the hospital, after the encounter with the towering monster and its rusted blades he had no interest in wandering back into a death trap. Instead he lurked around the outside, always trying to keep the walls of the building just to the left of him and the fog…. The ever looming fog just to the right. This didn’t last, as much as he tried to keep from the fog it slowly swept in, rolling over its self in billowing piles hungry to lap him up. He wasn’t sure how long it took but in minutes he was pinned to a wall covered in white fog, the only other sight was the darkness lingering high above him. The first mistake was leaning off that wall, he took two steps, was it two?
”Maybe it was?” “No it was more than that, you just forgot is all.” “We should go back. “I tried, we can’t find it.”
The voices where all the same, they all sounded like Jacob bickering back and forth quietly, there was no sense of self, he didn’t know the last time he felt something outside of the soft wetness that hung all around them and himself. Or where they all one?
“You’re pathetic, you ran in the Ward and now you’ve gotten us all lost out here! What do you have to say for it? You always make the right choice, you thought you picked wisely and here you are lost again.”
“And what have you done to help? Scream? Shout? Demand we find a way out?”
“And that’s what we needed! We needed motivation! and this one is just gawking at this all. Worthless like that one.”
“Look just because I said we shouldn’t fight doesn’t mean I’m worthless, I’ve never considered stopping but he sure did. I mean he suggested it first right after we left the wall just stand still and wait for the fog to pass? That’s the worst.”
“But if we hadn’t moved we wouldn’t be lost. You all want to change, change, change, go! That won’t help we need to stop and wait.” “How do any of you know what the right choice was? I don’t think any of you where an expert when this started.
All the voices stopped, Jacob also gave pause, did he say that or one of them? “We keep going…. Right. Yeah. We go. If we don’t go we rot.”
“But if we stayed…”
“NO YOU HEARD HIM. We go. Told you he wasn’t worthless.”
“You call him Pathetic a minute ago.”
“You did.”
“That was an hour agao.”
“Bullshit.”
It went on, how long he couldn’t say, at last the fog vanished, Jacob found himself not even twenty yards from where he started, how much time had passed he also wasn’t sure, worse yet was the sense he wasn’t alone and he never would be again.
