Name: Linnith Wechsler
Stage: Apprentice
Gender: Transgender (♀ Female )
Class: Future mage
Personality:
Positive
Compassionate - Jocelyn will go through a lot of s**t in her early years and this makes her especially sensitive to those being put through the same things she had to deal with. This does not mean she will come to a person's rescue, when she's younger, though. Knowing what can happen in certain situations she tends to stay away from them even though she might be concerned for someone. She's pretty much had to learn to care about herself first and others second. Creative - Jocelyn can draw and sew. As such, when she's in her mid to late teens, she will start to design her own clothes — drawing them out and then, later, actually piecing them together. Good-natured - Despite the things she will be put through, and her parents attitudes and behavior, Jocelyn will, inherently be a very kind and patient (not towards hatred, though) person. Intelligent - Jocelyn is a very intelligent person and will excel in her magic, Before she leaves her parents' house and Serenia, though, she won't have much chance to show this off (her parents were completely against her becoming a mage).
Neutral
Determined - Once her mind is set on something she has a resolve that carries her through. As such, she works very hard to finish any task that is set out before her. This will also cause problems between her and her parents, eventually (and many times). Shy - Jocelyn very much does not like crowds and she does not like attention to be drawn to her. She, most likely, will never initiate a conversation with another person (unless they're an extremely close friend) and strangers frighten her slightly. As she grows older, into her adult years, this will mostly go away but she'll still have some bouts of shyness. Quiet
Negative
Dependent - Jocelyn has always been the type of person that relies on others to help her through things. Her parents disapproval, when she's a child, will cut deep and hurt her greatly as, at that point in life, she will have no one else to lean on. Insecure - Jocelyn, as a child and early teen is not very confident in herself. Between her parents' behavior and the way she is treated by her peers breaks her down bit by bit. The insecurity will stick around well into her adult hood. Repressed - As a child both her parents and society will repress who Jocelyn really is. Eventually, to escape it, Jocelyn will leave home though it will still take some time before she breaks free of the restraints that were put on her. Self-critical - Jocelyn is very self-aware of herself and the things she does. So much so that it's unhealthy and she tends to beat herself up for not being "good enough". This will be very evident whenever she's trying to learn something new (even if she excels in it). Slow to trust - Because of past experiences in her life, Jocelyn doesn't easily trust others. This makes making friends a very hard thing for her to do, despite wanting some very badly.

Thoughts on the Other Races: Orderites are Jocelyn's people. This, however, does not necessarily mean she likes them. She will grow up on Serenia and surrounded by the hate people will throw her way for being different. She will even, eventually, be attacked and left for dead by a group of orderites.
Oblivionites are strange and foreign to her and she's heard nothing but bad things about the race from her racist parents. As such, Jocelyn will be terrified of oblivionites for a long while (not necessarily hate).
Dovaa are fascinating to Jocelyn and she very much appreciates their magical abilities. Seeing the dovaas that visit Serenia will be what eventually sparks her interest in becoming a mage.
Hybrids are different. Outcasted and hated for such things, Jocelyn feels a sort of bond with them (yes, even the oblivionite hybrids). As such, she'll be much more comfortable around any that she meets. Though she will learn, eventually, that even hybrids can be just as cruel as purebloods.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: The last thing Jocelyn wants to do is fight. She is much more interested in drawing and bringing her creations to life via sewing. While she knows war is a necessary thing, she does not completely agree with any one race on their reasons for it.
Thoughts on Dragons and Khehora: Dragons are a powerful source of power for Magescians and will be Jocelyn's source of income for a long while (gathering souls). Even so, she will learn to respect their power and will never underestimate them.
Jocelyn is very curious about khehora. She has seen many bondeds within the nobles of Serenia and knows that they afford one some kind of boost in power. Until she moves to Eowyn, though, she will have never seen a feral one or a khehorian. And, though she knows the bond is meant as a slave type deal (as such is demonstrated by most nobles), she longs for that companionship that a bonded would provide.

Jocelyn Wechsler (born Linnith Wechsler), a transgender woman, was born to noble parents who never imagined their beautiful little boy would one day claim he was a girl. His father, ___ Wechsler, is a general in the Orderite army, commanding his own army and staying out of any battle, mostly. His mother, ___ (maiden name here)-Wechsler was born into her money and has never worked a single day of her life. When her father died, long before Jocelyn was even a thought, he left his fortune to his daughter and son (enough so that they'll both live very comfortable for the rest of their lives).
Growing up Jocelyn wants for nothing. All he has to do is name it and he has it. Except for when he started asking for dresses and skirts instead of slacks and wants to draw and sew instead of practice with swords and other such weapons. At first his parents ignore it, thinking if they do not acknowledge such things, their son will eventually stop asking for them. This doesn't happen, though, and the grow more and more frustrated with their son. Jocelyn, as he grows older, tries to remember not to ask for such things but every once in a while he becomes frustrated with being shoved into clothes he just finds uncomfortable and not right.
His father's frustration becomes even more apparently when Jocelyn refuses to pick warrior as his class. He'd much rather be a civilian than fight in any kind of war the orderites choose to fight in. However, he knows, as long as he lives in his parents' house, he will have to at least pick something (must follow in father's footsteps, after all). So he begins to take an interest in magic.
