[Quest 11] [QP] [AJ] The Fisher King

Requirement: One person in the party must have a fishing rod made of whale fin.

You must have a fishing rod base made of whale fin first to start. Anyone without a whale fin cannot actually fish, though they can cheer the others on.

Next, select a bait. Your goal is to catch as many fish as possible, as fish oil is valuable in village things, says the villager. He hands you a tin, and you randomly get a bait. Roll 1d6 to see what you get

1. You get nothing..
2. You get the ear of a minipet
4. You get a giant spider. Seriously, this thing is huge. Like six feet huge. How did it even fit in there?
5. You get a decent sized worm.
6. You get the tail of a minipet

Now, with the bait, roll 1d100 to see how well you do. Make sure to rp accordingly with using the bait/tackling it/ figuring how to make it work. As long as you fish 11 or higher, your quest is a success. Otherwise, try again!

1-10: You fish up nothing..
11- 30: You fish up an invisible sardine. Or wait, is it a real one? You can't tell.
31- 50: You fish up a decent sized bonefish. It is made of literal bones, how are they going to eat this?
51 - 80. You fish up a giant spider fish. It looks more spider than fish, and is about six feet tall.
81 - 100: You fish up a beautiful premium gourmet finfish. It's tail fetches a good price in the local village market and you are rewarded handsomely.

AJ was wandering in the foggy village once again, despite he had cooked for them, helped them collecting eggs from high mountain and even assisted them in protecting their places from the unfriend sand whale and whatnot; their attitude didn't change. He thought he had to do more, as their minds were that stubborn like hard rocks.

How long he spent in this mysterious village, he couldn't tell, the watch stopped and time seemed to be trivial within this place. They were passer-by drifting along, the village felt quiet and dead sometimes. He left the area of the village when he zoned out and in front of him a lake. A few of villagers still cloaked seemed to be fishing. Big giant weird looking fish, small fishes he couldn't name, bonefish, angelfish, catfish, molly, tetra, coby and many many. It had its own aquatic eco-system well developed. The one who fished didn't seem to be bothered by the existence of the thin fog, they picked fishes up and put into buckets and repeated, everything seemed routine but oddly silent.

AJ scooted over and approached one of them, expressed that he'd like to fish like them. The man tugged the rob up, tossed the fish into his bucket without looking and stared at the boil. His expression was unfilled as he scanned the monster from top to bottom crudely, the eyes narrowed and turned back to the lake. "You fish without a rod?" Asked the villager, throwing the bait into the lake. AJ honestly told him he didn't have one and humbly asked for instruction, the villager jabbed his thumb to the whale fin he was carrying. The smart boil shortly got what he meant and with a knife the villager threw him, he polished the fin into a fishing rob.

AJ showed the rob to the villager, he took a quick glimpse and shoved him a tin. Within, an assortment of stuff. He felt baffled, "Bait." asked the villager, AJ quickly grabbed something before the impatient villager took the tin from him. A piece of triangular meat in medium size he got, now with fishing rod and bait, he would try fishing.

He already treated a bloody turkey, so securing the bit of flesh on the hook was a piece of cake. The ears was a bit too big and heavy to use as bait, so using the same knife, he cut a tiny bit of it instead. Everything ready, he sprang the rob backward and swung the line out, the bait landed near the middle of the lake and sank. Holding the fishing rob made of whale fin, he cleared his mind to catch any little movement on the rob. It didn't take long for him to sense the slump on the rob, he rewound the line back slowly, feeling struggle at the other end. The rob made of bone curled and bounced, AJ smirked, viewing it as a challenge from the fish. He wet his lips, "I'll get you out of water."

The weight of it indicated its size, he guessed it was about the width of a stretched hand. It wasn't bad for a first time, the distance slowly closed allowed him to see the tail rocking on the surface. When it reached a suitable distance to tug it up, he flung the rob in a big motion. "Ah." He made a sound when he saw nothing on the hook, he picked up the line, feeling it was still weighed. The fish didn't escape but he couldn't see it?

Perplexed, he detached the invisible fish from the hook and put into his bucket. Bucket? When did he get a bucket? Never mind, it's his now.
