A traditional tea house that has existed with the Soul Society since long ago. Has weathered centuries of chaos and been destroyed by it countless times only for it to be rebuilt every time. Though it is a traditional Tea House they service all who come be it for business or casual appreciation.

The bell that hung above the simple paper door to the tea house tinkled gently. The tea house fell silent.
Xzavior Smith, tall and resplendent, a vision in black and white, stood in the doorway, silhouetted against the pale light coming through the paper of the door. His smile was warm and wide as he looked around the room, making eye contact with each and every patron there. Without a word, Xzavior went to a corner table, and took a seat, as if it were his routine. It certainly was not.
Most of the patrons kept their silence, or began to speak in excited whispers to those around them, mostly unremarkable citizens of the Rukongai districts; poor and powerless, and of no use to Xzavior. One Shinigami stood up, placing a hand on the hilt of a long daikatana at his shoulder, confronting Xzavior. "I recognize you! You are wanted criminal Xzavior Smith. I'm placing you under arr-" His sentence was cut short as a length of steel pierced his throat. Xzavior's blade floated the moderate distance back to his person, returning to it's sheath. Xzavior sipped his tea as if nothing had happened. Somewhere to Xzavior's left, a woman screamed.
The shocked silence gave way to panic, as the patrons scrambled to leave. Xzavior allowed them safe passage. Gradually, the Tea house emptied out, leaving Xzavior alone with a frightened-looking waitress. Her wide eyes stared into his, fearing death. "Why are you still here? Go away. I'm just in this for the tea.". The waitress was quick to obey. Xzavior nibbled a scone and took a sip of his tea, savoring the moment of quiet in one of the most beautiful tea houses in all the realms. For a moment, he considered sparing the place, if only for its unique beauty. He shook the thought from his head.
This place must fall. Remember the mission.

For a long time, Xzavior sat in the corner of an empty room, sipping his tea and eying the shinigami lying dead before him, sprawled awkwardly atop the bamboo planks of the tea house floor. In many ways, Xzavior pitied the man. He had obviously been an accomplished warrior. He had shown quite a bit of bravery attempting an arrest.
Xzavior sighed, and flicked a hand out. A shimmering portal opened beneath the body. The portal exited far above the pacific ocean, well away from Xzavior and his tea. "Much better." Xzavior mused aloud, to nobody.
After another long ponderous silence, Xzavior drained the last dregs from his tea cup and stood. Age had begun to catch up with him, and his knees ached slightly, complaining at the effort. A stroll would do nicely...
Xzavior made his way to the back of the tea house, to the famous Fuji Gardens. Many varieties of tea grew in these gardens. Some varieties grew nowhere else. Xzavior desired to have them all. Whistling, Xzavior made his way along the winding patch that led through the gardens.
The landscaping was very tasteful, Xzavior noted. For a moment, Xzavior allowed himself to forget his mission and simply enjoy the garden. The japanese influence was a welcome change from the victorian fare Xzavior was so accustomed to. Variety is nice.
Xzavior brushed his fingers against rose petals as he passed them, and stopped to admire the slow descent of the cherry blossoms, which were always falling here. As he stood there, admiring the beauty, a voice spoke out to him, very close, though Xzavior had not sensed anyone approaching.
"Why are you here, Xzavior Smith of Northweald? The tea here is inferior to your own, even I have said as much."
Xzavior smiled as he turned to face the elderly man. Master Fuji had a long beard, and smile lines around his eyes. He was smiling.
"I had thought so, good sir. I really had. But then someone said that there was a tea here that i simply had to try. That it was the best tea they had ever tasted! This after I had served them from my own private reserve! Ah, the humiliation!~". Xzavior was smiling warmly, though his fist began to clench slightly as he spoke, and twitch began at his left eye.

For a few moments, Xzavior's breath was heavy, his eyes full of cold, cruel malice. He took a moment to compose himself, straightening his tie and gluing on his saccharin-sweet grin.
"You and I both know that I cannot allow this to stand."
"Say what you mean to say, Xzavior."
"I am the tea guy. It's one thing that I take very seriously - perhaps the only thing I take seriously. I will not be known to have the second best tea in all the realms. I don't care if I lose all of my powers and am forced to live on the streats of Karakura begging for bread, I will have the best tea. Anywhere." As Xzavior spoke, his passion came through, his voice raising in volume. A bead of sweat formed at Xzavior's brow. He regained his composure again, taking a deep breath.
Master Fuji smiled kindly, even as the threat of Xzavior's wrath became more and more apparent. "You may take all of the tea you like, and then it will be yours. I do not charge for my tea, I offer it freely to any who wish to enjoy it. You have access to far better tea than I can provide, but you may have -"
Xzavior cut him off, as if he had not heard a word.
"And so, you and I have a problem. More specifically, my problem is with this tea house. It has the best tea in all the realms, and it does not belong to me. I intend to solve this problem. This is not personal."
Xzavior lifted a hand, a churning sphere of black energy forming around his fingers. He threw the ball of darkness, almost lazily, but it found it's mark. One moment, master Fuji was there, smiling at his doom, and the next moment he was gone, as if he had never existed.
Nyxalene would walk into the tea shop, glancing about to make sure no one from her Division was present. Luckily enough, the woman managed to find herself the only one there. She let out a soft sigh of relief, moving over to find a table off to the corner of the shop. A waitress walked to her to take her order. "Oh, a cup of chamomile and lavender tea would be nice, thank you," she spoke, giving a light smile to the woman. Once she was finally left alone, Nyx would close her eyes and focus a bit on the situation at hand.
She had managed to obtain Bankai, finally, on her own. That was a feat in of itself. However, the fact that her Captain did not know was a bit of a problem. Nyx was worried that if she gave away that information out just yet, she would have to fight for a higher seat. Being the 7th in the Division wasn't so bad. It gave her some say in what went on within the squad but not too much. In all honesty, she managed to have a good standing with the lower-ranking members.
'I don't see what you are so worried about,' a voice spoke in the back of her mind. 'You should be proud of your accomplishment!'
Ori no Otome was a spirit that always seemed to want to push her higher than what Nyx wanted. She was the one who was the angriest with the fact that Captain Aidoneus chose someone else as the Lieutenant. Nyx was the second strongest within the Squad. That was for certain. But the woman did not wish for anyone else to really know that information. At least not yet.
'I am proud. I just do not wish to let anyone know yet. We have come a long way, but I do not want the others to think I could take their position from them...' Nyx replied to the voice silently. She could hear the woman scoff before speaking again.
'So...you are just going to let them think you are nothing but a weakling? Why? You deserve Vice Captain. You deserve a higher seat. Why are you so worried about everyone else? Do you want to be liked that badly?'
Ori had always been one to be rather...rude and blunt with her words. She wanted what was best for Nyx, but at the same time she didn't understand what that would mean for the both of them if the Shinigami fought for a higher seat. There was also the fact that Nyx was not a fighter at all. Not unless she had too.
The waitress finally returned with the tea along with some creamer and honey in case Nyx decided to sweeten it up. She did, slightly, to take the bitter taste away. The dark haired woman nodded to the other as thanks before moving to take a sip of the warm, calming liquid. She gave a soft sigh once she swallowed it, taking in the warmth down her throat. 'I do not wish to fight against my comrades. They deserved the seats they got. I wish to remain in the 7th seat....because I do not wish to be....looked up too....I guess.'
The Zanpakuto spirit laughed coldly. 'You are so pathetic.' Ori spoke lightly before giving a sigh. 'You really need to be more confident, dear...or else you would lose the one you seem to think so highly of to that other woman. He seems to be the type to go towards confidence. Someone who has a high self-esteem.'
Nyx took a breath, the grip on the handle of her cup tightening a bit. She exhaled slowly to calm herself. 'Then if he chooses her, I wish her happiness.'
'That's a load of bull and you know it. You would be moping for weeks...maybe months. You've had an attraction to Aidoneus since the Academy. You have just been too shy to even do anything about it. What you should do is march up to him and tell him how you feel. Simple as that.'
The woman would sip her tea again, silent. Why should she be fighting with her Zanpakuto spirit over a guy of all things. It was definitely ridiculous. They should be talking about their next move. Such as what to train on next. Perhaps maybe some techniques or something. That sounded good. 'So, when would you like to train again?' Nyx asked the question to the spirit.
There was a small bit of silence before she heard the feminine voice. 'How about not until you get up to a higher seat.'
The dark haired woman blinked before inhaling, moving her hand to pinch the bridge if her nose and sighed heavily. Did Ori not understand that she did not want to move to a higher seat? Why was she so adamant on moving up? Nyx was not one who cared about power. But Ori no Otome was. Which made things so difficult for her. Finally, she gave in as she replied to the woman within her mind.
'Fine. How high are we talking though?'
'Third seat...Or, if you are wanting a challenge...Vice Captain. I know you can do it.'
Nyx would clench her teeth a bit as Ori spoke. Did she really think Nyx wanted to go that far just yet? Taking a breath, she shook her head. 'Fine. Third seat. I am not taking Vice Captain...Tsubaki deserved that spot...since Aidoneus placed her there. But I haven't seen the third seat in a while...so I will see what happens....'
She could hear Ori no Otome cheer within her mind, causing the woman to chuckle. 'That's a relief. I thought I would have to ground you from training with me until you got off your butt and actually did something. Aidoneus will definitely be proud of you, Nyxalene. You can definitely defeat him. Just believe in yourself...and I will be there to help you all the way.'
Nyx gave a nod as she finished up her cup of tea, ordering another. She sat there then, thinking to herself about how she was going to go about this.

Seeing only one person in there, sitting with there eyes closed, he decides to sit across the tea house from her. He waits for a bit until someone comes by and asks. โYes, can I get a mint and citrus Pu-erh tea?โ As the waitstaff walks away, he leans back in the chair. It always feels good to relax with a cup of tea after a good training session. It soon arrives and he takes a long sip from it. It hits the spot and he relaxes even further.

Yorokobi Ite Shakaku, Third Seat of Fourth Division, stretches and yawns as he walks along the path up to the Fuji Garden Teahouse. It has been a while since he has had enough of a break to come here and this opportunity seemed to him to be the best chance he could get. One more meal in the hospital cafeteria or another take out yatai and he would likely lose his mind. Something more civilized to cleanse his palate after thirty days of dealing with disease outbreaks in the North Rukongai. It is a tragically impoverished and crime ridden area, he noted at the time. It was difficult handling the situation as his subordinates would often get attacked as they delivered medications and tended to people. Even he was forced to fight from time to time there. As soon as the situation was over he dropped off his report to the captain and made a bee line for his quarters and washed up to come here.
As he approaches the building he pauses to appreciate the beautiful landscaping and front of the teahouse. An appreciative breath is taken by him and he walks inside. "Kombanwa, ladies~!" he says cheerfully to the waitresses as if the past thirty days did not weigh on him. They smile and greet him. Some even titter a bit as he winks at them and tosses each of them a coin of decent value. "I'll have my usual seat, please."
Nyx would look towards the newcomers who entered into the tea house. She stared at them for a moment before taking another sip of tea. Thankfully, Ori had grown quiet for the most part. Until the Shinigami started focusing on the two, that is. She could hear Ori chuckling a bit in the back of her mind as she took a breath.
'What?'
'Oh, you know....you could always find someone else. The two of them look really nice. Perhaps go for one of them?'
Nyx rolled her eyes. 'Enough, Ori. I will not abandon my feelings for Aidoneus until I know for sure he becomes unavailable.' she replied silently, taking another sip. Her eyes did linger on the two of them though. The pink haired fellow definitely seemed very outspoken while the other seemed a little more quiet. Hopefully neither would feel the power of her Reitsu.
Reitsu 43 | Speed 10 | Strength 8 | Defense 5 | Stamina 5 | Intelligence 5 | Spiritual Power 10 Osano watches the pink haired guy enter and raises an eyebrow. That is quite the odd hair color, it could possibly be dyed. He would then notice the woman briefly staring at him before looking away. He stares at her a little bit in return out of the corner of his eye, before turning his attention back to his tea. He takes long sips until it is done and asks for another. โOolong tea, with some mint leaves on the side if possible.โ He then leans back and quite visibly takes a long swig from his drinking gourd. It has the character for sake on the side, clearly labeling what is inside. However, he actually only takes a sip, just makes it look like a lot more. He is interested to see how these two react to him drinking so openly. This could be fun depending on how they do so. After the swig, he starts drunkenly singing what would be described best as a pirate shanty. He doesnโt sing loud enough to cause enough of a disturbance and get thrown out, but enough to be noticeable. His singing is decent as well, and might be better if he wasnโt drunk.

Yorokobi settles down in a chair with the back against the wall - a habit he has developed from his thirty day assignment in the Soul Society's worst district. Before he can allow himself to decompress his server arrives and greets him. "Kombanwa, Shakaku-sama! It is good to see you again. It has been a long time!"
"Ah, yes, love. I was off on an assignment in the North Rukongai. Terrible state of affairs over there. The epidemic has been contained and under control now." He skims through the menu and places an order. "Peppermint Chamomile tea with honey and a plate of Negima Yakitori, please." He relaxes back as the girl politely bows and writes down his order then leaves. A soft breath of relief and appreciation for the gorgeous design of the restaraunt.
He scans the room for new faces and smiles politely at Osano with amusement as he seems to be singing a song that would be most appropiate for a pirate movie. 'Must be a Pirates of the Carribean fan,' he thinks. "Konbanwa, sir," he greets him politely as their eyes meet. He continues to look around and takes notice of the young lady nearby. He gives Nyx a grin and a wink. "Konbanwa, madam." This time with a more flirtatious tone.
Her eyes would slowly shift between the two males. One was obviously getting drunk and the other was, well, being rather polite with the servers at the tea house. At least they weren't really rude or anything. Clearing her throat, she gave a nod to the both of them before finishing up her cup of tea. A waitress came by, offering another cup. Nyx happily accepted, nodding a bit before leaning slighly again in her chair. "Oh...hello there." She replied, her pale cheeks flushing a bit at the tone the pink haired male took. Was he really flirting with her?
She could hear Ori laughing in her head, obviously enjoying the embarrassment that Nyx was going through. 'See? You should ditch your feelings for the Captain...pinky seems to be rather interested~'
Nyx took a breath, thanking the server as she brought another cup of tea for her. She moved to use the creamer and honey before slowly taking a sip. "How are you both this...evening?" she asked lightly, her eyes looking between the two again before she glanced away shyly.
She really needed to get better at interacting with others...
Having waited for some time at the sparring field Aidoneus came to the simple conclusion that his Vice Captain would need more time to prepare for the rigors of Bankai Training. He himself had managed to achieve the state through his own rigorous training dealing with the mischievous nature that was his Zanpakuto Spirit. Side by Side they were like the complete opposites of a coin one dark, cold, and calculating a pillar of professionalism. The other of a far more cheery disposition, full of witty comebacks, and so full of tricks. Though in that sense the two complimented each other very well, and if the differences were ever pointed out neither saw the issue of having such conflicting personalities. -"Aaah I see the little Missy is here wasn't Miss Nyx supposed to be doing her paper work.....hah who am I kidding she got that done ages ago."- Mienaimono chuckled as he observed the situation from within Aidoneus' Zanpakuto. -" Why ever would she lie to you....I mean probably has something to do with the come hither eyes she loves to give you, or the fact that as we so well know she just loves underplaying her strengths to the power of ten."- he chuckled again as Aidoneus made his way further into the Tea House.
Despite the billowing of his captain's haori as he stepped in those who looked would most likely see a simple casting of an overly long shadow in the doorway and the lights of the tea house dimming in radiance, but no captain. Instead he was suddenly taking a seat on the complete opposite of the tea house at the very same table Nyx was sitting at enjoying her tea. "I take it the paper work was not as intense, or numerous as you were saying?" He asked his tone not implying anything as he kept it to it's usual level of a professionalism.
Reitsu 43 | Speed 10 | Strength 8 | Defense 5 | Stamina 5 | Intelligence 5 | Spiritual Power 10 Osano stops singing and nods back to Yorokobi. โGood evening to you as well.โ He thanks the waitstaff as they bring him his second cup of tea. He turns to Nyxalene. โI am doing well this evening maโam, what about yourself?โ He stands with his cup of tea, figuring if he is going to talk with some people, he will do so from a closer table. He goes to take a step when the captain of the ninth division appears at her table. He recognized him as Aidoneus, since it was always a good idea to know all of the current captains by name and personality at least. Known for being a professional if he remembers correctly. He grins inwardly, as this captain will likely have more of a reaction than the other two. This could be fun. He immediately adopts a somewhat staggered and drunken walk, but not enough to actually spill his tea, and makes sure his gourd is clearly visible. He stumbles his way to a table only a couple away from Nyxโs before sitting down hard, just barely placing his cup without spilling it. When he speaks, some words are longer than they should be while others are shorter. โWhat about you captain, how is your evening going? And why would you come to a tea house to talk boring stuff like work?โ

Nyx's bashfullness does not escape his notice, but that does not prevent him from flashing her a sweet smile. It was at that moment that Captain Aidoneus arrives. Yorokobi politely nods to the captain and settles back in his chair. It is not his captain so he does not stand on ceremony. Certainly not in his off time, at least. Further, the captain's attention was on the shy young lady. 'All business up front. How dry,' he decides. His order arrives and is set in front of him. The drunk young man amuses Yorokobi and he watches the situation unfold as the three interact. 'Quite amusing, actually,' he thinks. 'Though ... is he really drunk or is he actually that good at maintaining the act? Shouldn't he have spilled that cup a dozen times by now? Then again, isn't it foolish to act such a way in front of a Captain? Ah well, either way it is hilarious.'"Konbanwa, Taisho-sama." When he is finished with his tea and meal, he pays his bill and politely exits. "Excuse me, I must return to work."
Nyx smiled to the other too before glancing at the person who walked in. Her eyes became wide as she slowly hunkered down in her chair shyly. The last he knew, she was suppose to be doing paperwork. But here she was, drinking tea instead. Then again, it wasn't odd for her to take a break either. Sipping on her tea, she watched as the Captain of the 9th Division sat down across from her. The woman just stared at him a moment before swallowing the tea she had in her mouth and clearing her throat. However, instead of answering right away, it seemed like she was contemplating what to say. It wasn't rare for Nyxalene to do that, she was a shy young woman who really didn't seem to know how to casually speak to someone in a higher seat than her. "I...was taking a break." She muttered lightly, looking away slowly. "And...thinking about things. About my position and what not."
Taking another sip of her tea, her left leg started bouncing slightly. A horrible nervous habit she seemed to have that was noticable to anyone who knew her personally. Luckily, she remembered the other two who were there and she turned her attention to them, nodding and smiling a bit. "I am doing well, thank you for asking." She spoke to the dark haired fellow with the glasses. She then looked towards the pink haired male and nodded to him. "Have a good night."
Her eyes then returned to Aidoneus, nibbling on her lower lip slightly. "I....erm...was thinking of...possibly stepping u-up....to the third seat?" She finally said towards her Captain. "I...I reached Bankai...recently and was...uh...planning on telling you...but then Vice Captain Tsubaki talked about training and what not..."
