The twins are on a mission to rescue their lusii. "For each post every person submits, roll 2d4. Keep track of the accumulated point total between all players posting. When you have gotten to the point where you have found and released your lusus, or have reached a total of 20 points, (whichever comes first) multiply the result by the total number of party members, and consult the spoiler below. Usually when Forera was doing something stupid, she was alone. This time, however, she was accompanied by her brother, who was also incredibly stupid. They were being stupid together!
This was new.
After their initial dispute, both of them agreed they needed to save Serpentmom and Dragondad no matter how hard it'd be. Forera had dressed up for the occasion, tugging on her shirt collar to cover more skin as well as pinching the fabric of her leggings, having pulled her hair into a tight and uncharacteristic bun on her head. She managed to hide her horns with a hood and pulled out all her piercings, not wanting to set off any alarms. She wore light clothing for quick movement and was thankful for having found mask she bought when she was a kid on a whim. Alright, she was ready. Turning toward Anguis, she bent down and looked him straight in the eyes. "Hey, Angs, since I don't know the pits that well, you're gonna have to be my eyes," She whispered, seeming awfully serious about this and wanting not to ******** up for once in her life. She had already been caught once, and she wasn't going to let that happen again, especially now. Not to Anguis."Y'think y'can do that?"
It felt weird, going out with Forera to do something like this. It wasn't every day he was actually following a stupid plan instead of trying to get her to stop. But it was their only option and all he wanted was their lusii back, so he had no choice really.
Not that anything actually mattered since he was already branded as a criminal.
He had dressed to the occasion himself, in a shirt that covered his wrists and an actual pair of pants instead of his regular shorts. He found a jacket with a hood and put that on, ready to hide his hair and horns in it. But he was shaking the whole time, nervous and scared. When Forera bent down to talk to him he couldn't meet her eyes, staring at his hands before he gave out a short, jerky nod. "I-I can. Yeah. Let's go." He mumbled, closing his hands into fists and shoving them into his pockets. Now wasn't a time to be scared.
Forera could definitely tell he was nervous. Gulping a little, Forera managed to still her own shaking hand before grabbing onto Anguis's and pressing their foreheads together. They'd be safe. They'd be okay! Letting out a loud breath of air, she quickly rushed into the fray with Anguis close behind her, quiet and stealthy.
Of course, until she tripped and fell.
With a muted shriek, Forera fell flat on her mask, creating a crack on its forehead. So much for not being seen. She let out a groan and looked around, turning toward Anguis and letting out a long sigh. If she ******** this up too, she was really going to ruin their lives. With my brother here, I'd rather make an opening for him before anything, but... Alright, forget that, don't think about it, Forera thought to herself before dusting herself off and trying not to get attention.
It was small, but the comfort of just having her there made him feel the tiniest bit better and less nervous. Even if she did manage to fall straight on her face, making an incredibly loud noise. He smiled regardless at her though, even if it was a serious situation, it was still Forera and she had found a way to do something unwanted.
He moved forward as Forera got up, taking steps further while keeping an eye out for anything. Unfortunately, through a combination of Forera's yell and maybe his own footsteps that felt oddly loud, they had attracted the attention of someone. "Rera... I think we have some company..." Anguis called to her, nervously stepping back to find her.
quite uneventful

You have encountered a Security Patrol! Only trolls who are currently posting in the thread may join in the fight. The mechanics work similar to regular boss battle, although this is classified as a mini-boss. (We are testing this system! Enjoy being guinea-pigs!) Unlike regular boss battles, the mule will not be posting new rounds, and players can simply post as fast and often as they want, taking turns to attack one at a time. Players who have trinkets or abilities may also post to use one directly after posting their attack, giving them a maximum of two turns for that round.
Each time every player in the fight has had a turn to attack the mini-boss once and use one power/trinket, a new round begins.
At each new round roll the standard 2d6 and use the table below to see what damage you've taken. As always, the first number is what you should check for your damage, and the second is the amount done to the mini-boss.
Once the mini-boss or all players fighting it reach 0hp, this can be counted by all trolls participating as a battle rp for growth. If you have any questions, please PM the mule!
GUARD STARTING HP: 21!
As you hurry along, trying not to attract any unwelcome attention, you nevertheless fail to get past all the guards unseen. A ringing cry pierces your sponge clots - "Halt!" Two drones, clearly low-tier guards, come huffing up, one shedding a half-eaten circular grain product with sugary glazing. "This is a restricted area! You are under arrest! Put your hands in the air!" You don't want to weigh what your chances are of escaping from the Punishment Pits twice. Taking out a handheld transceiver, one of them barks into it. "We have intruders, repeat! Intruders!" The other one shuffles a little, getting out a heavy baton. "Burtam - did you remember to put new batteries in?" At this, the barking drone pauses and squints down at his device, pressing the button a few times. "Damn. Uh. Hey you! I said hands up! Just because we don't have backup doesn't mean you won't be getting into a nice new pair of cuffs!" Raising his own baton, he nods at his partner, and the two drones advance on you.
If you rolled a 1, the two guards both decide to focus on you, and actually manage to wrestle you to the ground with your hands behind your back before you're able to shake them off. In your mind's eye, you can see the cell's door slamming back into place as you're thrown in again. Take 4 dmg.
If you rolled a 2, one of the guards leaps at you in a frenzy, striking you over and over and over while yelling something about 'assaulting an officer of the royal army'. He seems to be forgetting which one of you is doing the assaulting at the current moment. Take 3 dmg.
If you rolled a 3, a truncheon comes down hard on your head, making your eyes cross for a moment as chirpbeasts flutter around in front of your vision. Take 2 dmg.
If you rolled a 4, you charge forward and place your foot square on the food carelessly dropped by one of the drones as they arrived. The sugary glaze causes you to slide awkwardly across the floor, arms windmilling, before dropping you onto your rear. Take 1 dmg.
If you rolled a 5, You manage to duck and dodge all truncheon swings, nimbly slipping in between and around the two bulky guards as they flail at you.
If you rolled a 6, you consider these two drones, willingly working in a plant that is powered by enslaved lusii. What kind of heartless jerk could enforce the law, in a place filled with parents forcefully separated from their children?! Your next attack is loaded with righteous outrage, and does double damage.
When the mini-boss or all trolls have reached 0hp, please look in the spoiler below.
Mini-Boss at 0
As soon as the first of the guards drops to a knee, you take your chance and dart past them, ignoring the shouts from behind you as you leave them in your dust. You'd better get out of here before they catch their second wind! (Do not continue to roll 2d4s. If players hit the maximum of 20 points in rolling the 2d4, each player can now roll 1d100 in their next post. If you get a multiple of 10, your troll has snatched a 3 use novice trinket of your choice from one of the guards as they fled past.)
Players at 0
The two guard drones are more than a match for you, and you call a strategic retreat, running until you can't hear their footsteps or shouts anymore. Looks like you will have to find another way around to get past. (Do not continue to roll 2d4s)
Hearing the voice of Anguis and feeling him bump into her legs only added to her stress, especially when he mentioned others around. Forera's eyes widened-- Two drones stood near them, and somehow, the tealblood knew this wouldn't be one she'd be able to get out of by running away. She needed to protect Anguis. She shifted him behind her, watching the drones approach while she took a defensive pose. Her teeth clenched. She was thankful they hadn't noticed her brother yet, or at least, didn't care enough to focus on him at first. Growling, she threw herself at them, only to be knocked to the ground and held down, eyes going wide as she envisioned herself being thrown to the woods again for another battle for her life. No, no, no! With a shriek, the tealblood shoved them off, managing to kick one in the face while she ran for it. She was NOT letting it happen. Not again. HP: 20 - 4 = 16 Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
In her run to escape any hit from the drones, the tealblood managed to step on the wrong space at definitely, the wrong time. She let out a loud gasp before going sliding for a heart-stopping moment and falling straight on her a**. She clenched her teeth before getting up and landing a punch in each of their faces. HP: 16 - 1 = 15HP Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
Managing to dodge a try at a double hit to her, Forera jumped out of the hit and grinned widely before giving each of them a hard kick in the shins. Her eyes practically glinted in the light reflecting from the ceilings, a small glint of hope burning in her. Maybe, she could do this. No, she could definitely do this. And even if she couldn't. She'd definitely do it. For Anguis. For our lusi.
And silently, for her pride. She didn't want to fail him or anyone else again. She'd done that too much already.
Failing was not an option. HP:15HP Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
In the short time that Forera had in front of one of the drones, she was suddenly, abruptly, hit in the head with a large stick. Blinking a few times to clear her vision, she almost fell-- But held her ground, slashing around her in whatever way she could. She didn't care if she was disoriented. They would never get the best of her. HP: 15 - 2 = 13 HP Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
Another slide by made the tealblood snarl from anger. How much food did they even bring with them?? Forera wasn't willing to find out. With a well placed slash, the mid-blood managed to hit one of them pretty hard, grinning widely. They were already starting to run out of steam! HP: 13 - 1 = 12 HP Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
After another pummeling from the team of a*****e fatass drones with a pechant for food, Forera gave one of them a hard hit in the stomach. The instant he doubled over, Forera grabbed the younger tealblood whom was spectating and pushed between them with a loud, feral snarl, hightailing the ******** out of there. She didn't even give them a chance to try and stand up, darting past a few halls and entering a few, not noticing which path she took in her journey. HP: 12 - 4 = 8 HP Novice Offensive Style B: 2/2
Finally slowing to a stop, Forera let out a loud pant, wiping a few beads of sweat that had slid down her face out of anxiety. She let go of Anguis's hand, only now realizing how firm her grip was. Leaning on the wall behind her, the tealblood glanced around, still alert, before walking back and checking. She jogged back, looking down the hallway and listening hard. Nothing. A small sigh of relief shook her body and she rushed back toward the kid, looking at him and breathing hard. "O-okay, I think-- I think we lost'em...!" Her eyes darted around a little before finally settling on the younger twin, squeezing his shoulder. "Do ya-- do ya think you can show me, from here? Does this, does this place look familiar?" Her nerves were starting to show, eyes startled and scared. They needed to get them, and fast. Maybe the lusi were together. Hopefully...
