                  Wilderness

The term "Wilderness", in FAO, refers primarily to the rings of woods surrounding the towns and cities. There are trails snaking throughout these woods that lead players through them, but to an inexperienced player, a wrong turn could mean getting lost for a few hours. Or days. Wild beasts prowl these areas and will attack if they come across a player with a lower level than them.

This World Can Satisfy My Desires...

Gabriel
Creep

Do I Really Want To Leave...

Alone at last. Away from all the noise. If he tried, however, he could still hear the panic if he concentrated hard enough. The boy was not well equipped to be in the woods alone, but he wasn't used to playing games such as FAO. It was a stroke of fate that he would have ended up there at that exact moment. It was all so strange. None of it was real, but everything was so perfect. The leaves brushing against each other with the wind, the birds chirping away with their own business even insects coexisting. Taking a seat down against a tree, Gabriel pulled his hair back giving out a long sigh. In front of him was what appeared to be a cloud of darkness constantly morphing. It didn't scare or surprise the boy in the least. He was already used to it. The Dark Passenger that followed him where ever he went. Even in a VRMMORPG by the looks of it. The two stayed in silence for about a minute just staring at each other until Gabriel decided to say something. "So I guess the system gave you a physical form." Gabriel paused to look at the floating cloud of darkness. "Or at least they tried." He remarked wondering how it happened. It was in his head and the device worked on tricking the mind and creating things that didn't exist. "It doesn't matter if you can see me or not, Gabriel. I am and will always be here." Gabriel wasn't interested in hearing the normal bullshit that day. Too much was happening he had to access many things and the voice in his head pushing him towards the edge was not helping. "Do you realize that I have other things to worry about at the moment?" He asked knowing exactly what the answer would be. At the same time with a mocking tone, Gabriel said together with it. "What will you do when the urge comes back, Gabriel?" The question had weight, but the boy was trying to deny it. Much like the people he called out earlier for denying their reality, Gabriel was trying to deny his own. "When the time come I'll deal with it." Gabriel said having a faint idea of what he was going to have to do. It would be no different than before. He'd wait till night and stalk someone. Except he was in a game. He didn't know if the feeling would be the same.

A notification icon popped up in front of Gabriel. Clicking on it, the digital panel opened up revealing his mostly empty inventory. The only things visible were a couple of starting items and a sword. Clicking on each item would make them appear on his body. "That color doesn't suit you." And with that it was gone. Seemingly for no good reason. Gabriel stayed silent feeling something off about the whole thing. Then the odd rustling started. He was no longer alone in the woods. "Who ever is out there come on out." He announced holding the beginner's sword with a tight grip. Suddenly, three odd looking creatures darted out of the bushes towards Gabriel. They were pretty slow and once he got a got a good look at them determined they were pathetic looking as well. He dodged all three without much of a struggle. The three...Gabriel realized he could find out their names by activating it with his eyes. Locking on to one with his eyes it's name and stats appeared. More info was available, but he had no time to read the creatures lore. "A Narg hmm." He mumbled as the three regrouped to face him. They inched towards him slowly with their wings drawn in a threatening manner. Killing animals did not satisfy Gabriel. It may have at one point when he was younger. The stray cat or dog. But nothing substituted watching someone's essence leave their body. All the hope they had of his last minute change of heart vanishing with a look of pure terror at the realization that they would die. The three Nargs jumped at Gabriel at the same time. He dodged the three, but not before grabbing one by the throat. A look of curiosity on the boy's face. "You're not real yet you squirm as if fighting for your life...Why Is that?" He asked watching the little monster flap its wings hysterically. The sword went through it in one go. The boy could feel it. The blade find it's way into the monster. He felt the rush of killing arouse him once again. It wasn't a human, but for the moment it was different and therefore refreshing. The other two monsters looked at Gabriel cautiously. He had killed one of their own with no effort. That was what separated real animals to virtual ones. In reality they would have run in the sight of a true monster, but these were not programmed for survival. They were programmed to agro and would die by the hands of a true monster.

This World Can Satisfy My Desires...

Gabriel
Creep

Do I Really Want To Leave...

After the act of killing the three virtual creatures light would consume Gabriel. Twice as a matter of fact. On top of his head the words LVL 2 and following LVL 3 would appear notifying the by of his progression. "Hmm." MMO's worked like that. Giving you a false sense of accomplishment in order to keep playing the game. Gabriel knew this and it had no effect on him like others who were extremely into video games. The lack of accomplishing anything in their normal lives drove them into this or other gaming worlds in order to achieve something. Another notification icon popped up in front of him like before. This time, however when he clicked on it the digital panel opened up to another area. Instead of items it took him to stats. Gabriel would have to decide what to spend his newly earned points on. One hundred and Twenty points to be either divided into several stats or only one. Now Gabriel was no MMO genius or even experience in playing them, but he had common sense. His class revolved around stamina and speed while his race focused on those two including strength. He invested fifty points into speed to double the current amount. 40 into stamina to double the current amount and so he could use Stage One of the Strigoi bloodline without becoming automatically becoming exhausted and 30 in strength to have it doubled. Once done Gabriel swiped away the digital panel.

Nargs were plentiful in the forest. Where they spawned in from he couldn't really tell. It didn't matter though since there were so many he didn't even have to look for groups they usually came to him. They had been following him from the skies. Gabriel had no idea due to the trees blocking them out. "I wonder how Kokoro is doing..." He mumbled to himself. Immediately his eyes widened. Why was he thinking about Kokoro? She meant nothing to him at least not in some sort of other sense that had no use to him. She was there to make others take his eyes off of him. She was there to make him seem normal. The sex they had together had no lasting impact on Gabriel, but it did on her however and she was deeply in love with him. So why is it after all this, Gabriel found himself wondering how she was. Her voice. Her hair. Her scent. Probably just side effects the boy thought. Side effects of spending time with someone that showed a certain kind of emotion towards him. It was rubbing off on him. "Ridiculou-" He was cut off when something grabbed him by the shoulders. "Huh?" He had no time to react as his body was lifted off the ground. He could hear them flapping violently trying to carry him up and screeching to each other. "You've got to be kidding me." Gabriel mumbled trying to free himself. Their strength stats were to low to resist his strength and so the moment he grabbed onto the legs of the Nargs and pulled at them they tried to free themselves, but now he had them. All three fell on the ground.

The fall didn't hurt much, but it left the boy weaponless since the sword ended up farther ahead of him and the two Nargs. "Crap..." He mumbled getting up on his feet just as a Narg attempted to tackle him. It failed due to Gabriel's great speed. He couldn't counter attack without the sword however. He could use his fists even though he wasn't a berserker, but it wouldn't dish out relevant damage. There was nothing he could do, but dodge and that would eventually use up all of his stamina. Eventually he'd be in a tough position. "What to do what to do." The boy said to himself completely calm as the Nargs inched towards him just like before. One step at a time.

Now, Gabriel had choosed his class and race on a whim. He didn't read much into all of them and quite honestly cared less about them. At the time he was only testing out the game to say if it was interesting or not and if killing people in game would satisfy his dark urges. However, he bore to quickly and never actually used any of his special abilities. Opening up the digital info panel quickly, Gabriel went towards the race and class area and found his race. Strigoi. A vampire that has feasted on the body of another vampire gaining more power, but losing magic affinity. He skipped over the lord and went right to race abilities. The race had three stages of power. Stage one would give him an immense boost of speed for a short time. That was all he needed. Activating the ability manually, Gabriel could see an aura grow around him. "I can feel it..." He mumbled to himself while the Nargs stopped walking. Startled by the sudden ability being use. "Yes...This...This'll do." The boy would dash over to the beginner's sword that was far away before, but with his new found speed it wouldn't take long. Picking it up, Gabriel turned around leaving a track mark in the grass due to stopping at such a high speed. The Nargs had no chance against his mad dash towards them.

Sitting down against a tree like before, Gabriel panted feeling worn out from the fights. His power level was still very low in a world where everyone wanted to be number one and now survive. Everything changed when survival was added. He'd have to evolve. The tree against his back felt so real. The bark's rigid edges teeming with ants and moss. Was it all based off of some actual place? It was too real for Gabriel. From the void inside of Gabriel, the Dark Passenger would manifest. "How do you feel?" It asked floating. A manifestation of the monster that was Gabriel Dos Santos Malavaes. "For now. Not much. These creatures won't satisfy me for long." He replied looking at his hands. There was no blood. Even though he killed two creatures. There was no blood in the game. Not yet. "They say that people who kill other players are known as red players. If you indulge others would know." Gabriel knew this. He saw it somewhere and kept it tucked away in his sub conscious even if he didn't remember it. The Dark Passenger could not give him knowledge he had no way of knowing. "Hm. That is indeed a problem, but no worry. I can't kill another player at my current power level any ways. I need more." He said looking at the dark cloud this time. "Go then." It said as Gabriel got up on his feet leaving the Dark Passenger behind. "Go and gain more power so that you may satisfy your hunger."

'This looks good... No one is around... And its no longer a safe zone...' The young man scratched the back of his head as he walked further and further down the path, waiting for monsters to rush him, or conveniently spawn in front of him. The good thing about the monk class was that he did not need to purchase a weapon in order to fight. Of course, his stats at the moment were nowhere near the point where they needed to be in order to fight effectively, but that would be the case for any video game character at level one. 'If they were gonna trap us in a game, why couldn't they have left us at our normal levels? I would have been fine if they just let me keep all my crap! God damn man... Wait, no that isn't right.' The young man paused for a moment, trying to rethink his values. First off, who in their right mind would want to be put into a situation like this? Sure video games are a great source of fun and all, but to make them into reality... That's a stretch. 'Well, I have always wanted to kill monsters and what not so...' The proposition of staying in the game was slowly becoming more and more appealing, considering the fact that no one would actually die from being killed in the game. He could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. As long as he was strong enough. A sly smirk arose on the young man's face, as he crossed his arms and thought about the life he could possibly live in this new reality. Endless amounts of money from hunting monsters and questing, no need to worry about being bullied or ridiculed for liking video games like this; Life would be amazing! His head perked up with a smile the more he thought about the situation in this light.

Suddenly, his facial expression changed to a more serious, stern look. 'What about Mom? Dad? What about Gio who always bugs me about video games and rides everywhere? What about Tess' unreliability and clumsiness...?' His fist clenched, as he started to move forward on the path, not looking where he was going. 'I can't leave them. Especially not Gio.. ' The elemental monk took a deep breath, as he uncrossed his arms, and put them above his head. "I have GOT to get out of this place... For my family's sake." Despite the fact that he was always being annoying by the little bundle of energy, Zel knew exactly just how important he was in his life, and the same for his younger brother. They had a strange relationship, where sometimes they would get along, and sometimes they would fight over something trivial and stupid. But they knew for a fact that they loved each other, like family should. Even his older sister had strange, distant love for him, despite always being out. The two fought over nearly EVERYTHING, mainly because the oldest did not really act like the first born child... Besides that, they have both good and bad moments, as any family should. Zel took a deep breath, and looked up at the path, determined to get stronger as fast as possible. His eyes widened in shock, as he quickly backed up, preparing himself to dodge. "Awh s**t!"

As a level one Narg spawned in front of him, he jumped to the side, trying his best to not get hit. "Hup! Geez, you could have WAITED before doing that ya know.. I was kinda in the middle of a serious moment.. Not that you would understand." Sighing, he got up and into his fighting stance, and bounced his body as if he was in a taekwondo tournament fight. With his hands up to guard and body moving, Zel was ready to strike or dodge. The Narg flied around, until it suddenly dived down toward him, going for an obvious bite. With a short battle cry, the monk ran to meet the enemy, and slammed his foot into the monster's face. This caused it to fly backward and roll as it hit the ground. "You good bud? You took that one hard.. " The monk watched as it began to regain its balance, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike again. To his surprise, it just stood there, as if it were preparing something. The elemental monk's smirk turned into a look of distress as he began his march toward the winged beast. "No, no, no, no screaming!" Too late. The Narg raised its head in the air, and screeched at the top of its lungs. Zel knew exactly what that meant, and it was no surrender. Sprinting as fast as he could, he got to the lone Narg, and gave it a swift combo to its head, turning it into shiny pixels of information. The monk knew he was far from finished, and depending on the number, he might lose all of his 100 xing(Not a lot, but being level one again sucks...) "Welp! ******** me right?! Oh god, why did I let him do that..." Sighing, he began to hear the screeches of more Narg flying his way, obviously from his clan or mob or whatever one might call a group of these flying lizards. Unable to think of ways out of the fight alive, he searched all around him.. "Maybe I could just sit here and hide?..." With no other options, the male jumped behind a bush and tree, and peered from the hedges as he watched the Narg descend on the spot where their comrade was once standing.

Four more appeared. Four more needed to go before his own health went to zero. At this point he was out of their combat range, and he would not be able to use any of his techniques due to his low level... Twiddling his thumbs as he laid down, he thought of what he could do with no skills or techniques. Usually, he would have spammed his wind cannon technique, but that was not unlocked for another twenty levels or so. Even force palm would have worked in this situation, as it would have definitely been a one hit kill for each of the monsters. Now he was really hating on the people who reset his stats. 'Damn hackers... Could have at LEAST gave us some starter equipment!...' The teen sighed as he rested his head into his hands, and began to rub his temples. The situation he had landed himself in was causing him a great deal of mental stress, and this method seemed to work the best whenever his head felt like exploding. As he began to calm down, the young man looked back up at the Nargs patrolling the little circle. They had not noticed him yet, but eventually, they would. He knew for a fact that he would need to strike before then, but they seemed so alert, that it would be hard to catch either one of them off guard. 'If one sees me, then they all see me...' Scratching his head, he took a look at each of their positions. The one closest to him was looking toward the other across from it who in turn was staring right back at it. One was circling above the area they were in, causing the monk to wonder why the others were barely moving. The last was most likely perched in a tree somewhere, but to be completely honest, he had lost that one as soon as he jumped into the bush.

The young man stared at the one closest to him, and knew that he did not have much time. He really wanted the experience points for five of the winged beasts, rather than settling for some random adventurer stealing his kills. Zel took one last deep breath, before preparing himself to fight. There was no other option. If he ran, he would be chased, and if he stayed there too much longer, they would either leave or get taken out by someone else. Both were bad situations. 'Alright... One...Two...THREE! ' As he finished counting down to himself, he ran toward his left, where the nearest Narg was. The monk led with a closed fist to the Narg's body, followed by a left hook. To finish it off, he spun on his right foot to heel kick the beast straight into the ground. Surprisingly, that did the job, as shown by the bright information pixels it left behind. The monk laughed as he quickly turned to the other three, trying to get a good look at all of his opponents. Two down, three more to go.

The third Narg which sat across from the previous one had already been dashing toward Zel, screeching as it opened its mouth. The monk had no time to react, and could only put his hands up to keep it away from his body. He took a bite to the forearm, causing him to grunt from the pain. Without hesitating, the male fell to his back, and thrust both of his feet up into the winged beast's neck. The force of the kick launched the Narg off of his arm and over Zel's head, and into the tree a few feet behind him. Using the momentum from his kick, he got back up with a backwards roll, and waited for another oncoming attack. This time, two of the assailants tried to scratch at the lone warrior, going for small damage. Sadly for Zel, the quickness of the strikes got him, and he was in the yellow zone. There was no more room for error at this point. As they stopped their scratches, the young man took his chance to strike. He leapt toward the enemy on his left, performing a jump kick. As the narg flew backward, he turned toward the other, dodging its bite. The male was not fast enough to counter this one despite being given the perfect chance, and flipped backward, away from the three enemies who were trying to recover their balance. With fifteen health left, the male had to be extremely careful, and to be honest he was not sure if he had it in him to finish off the three by himself. With no sort of items, equipment, or even simple skills to help him out, he was not sure how he would go about it. 'Damn... This is way tougher than I was expecting it to be. I guess its hard to fight monsters your own level... Heh.' The young man chuckled as he readied himself for the oncoming beasts. The adrenaline rushing through his body at the moment only attributed to his focus. In other words, he was in the zone. As if he were back home, at a sparring tournament again.

Zel took a deep breath once more, and concentrated on each of the attackers. Despite being level one, they had some sort of unspoken plan of attack, enough to keep him on the ropes. However, after seeing it a few times, the monk was ready to react and counter all of it smoothly, knowing full well that he could. The three charged him at the same time, from three different angles. From the front of him and sides of him, in the shape of a triangle. Immediately, the silver haired male ran toward the one in front of him, and did a baseball slide right under it. The other two, as if they were homing missiles of some sort, followed him, as he ran down the path a bit more. He could hear their ravenous screeching, and smirked. Out of nowhere, the young man stopped, and crouched with his back still turned toward the aerial combatants. As they neared with their fangs bared, he leaped into the air right above them, showing off his acrobatic skills. He flipped in order to face the two, and at the last second, gripped tightly onto the enemy located closer to his right. With all of his force, he yanked the enemy back, over his shoulder, and slammed it into the ground utilizing a simple and common jujitsu throw he had learned. The winged beast was felled, and like the others, burst into bright pixels of information. Three down, two more to go.

He was getting there, slowly but surely; With the fifteen health points he had left backpacking him, he was almost done with the hardest fight he had ever been in at level one. If he had enough mana to actually use skills and what not, he would not have even broken a sweat with these bird, bat crossover monsters. Well, it was a good experience; Now he knew that he was not useless without his mana, at least. 'Almost done, almost done.. We got two more, and we can go back to the safe zone, recover, see if we can get some new stuff... Life will be great! Yes! NO! Stop losing focus!' The young man shook his head as he ran toward the monster in front of him, and side stepped its charge. Dodging was now becoming second nature to him, as he knew the simple pattern of the narg's, worthy of level one creatures. As the Narg stopped in mid air, the monk slammed his fist across his body, and into the mammalian beast. Again, he threw another punch, this time with his left. Right, left, right, left. The pattern continued until he saw the blue and white pixels float into the air, signalling the death of the beast he had just fought. The young man took a deep breath and exhaled gruffly as he looked at the last foe he had to kill. Four down, one more to go...

The young man looked at his last opponent with a smile, waiting for it to charge. 'Come on now... You already know what the hell is gonna happen next.. Your whole little crew is finished. Come at me bro!' He gave the winged monster a menacing glare, trying to some how transmit his feelings, thoughts and emotions toward it with just eye contact. However, it was not working. Instead, it sat there, stuck in a pouncing position. Or was it crouched over?... "Do NOT tell me that this damn game froze AGAIN. Wait... It looks like. s**t NOT AGAIN!" The narg looked like it was going to call up another set of its flying brethren, scaring the living hell out of the young monk. Well not today... As fast as he possibly could, the monk drop kicked the monster, slamming his foot into the beefy neck of the Narg. In real life, he would have crushed its wind pipe, making it unable to speak or breath even. Perhaps that is what he did there.. With a bit of rage in his voice, the monk began yelling at the monster, as if it could comprehend anything it was saying. "Holy s**t! Really? You really were about to be a little b***h and call on ANOTHER four of you damn shits? My god... You got me ******** up!" With that, the monk began to stomp the monster out, until it finally turned into the familiar particles of information he knew and loved. As he watched the pixels fade away, he sighed. "Finally... I gotta calm myself down... Gotta chill..." Sitting down, he took a few deep breaths before he noticed a white screen congratulating him. He had leveled up. More than once also. Scratching his head, he slowly swiped through the screen, relieved that he got out of that without any sort of help or items; Hell, he used his bare hands basically! The monk class was definitely a great choice for starting out, as he did not need to buy weapons. Like in the real world, he could use his hands and feet to fight. Of course, in the future he had some magic to add to his combat, but who knows how redundant that would get. The young man swiped through to the last screen, waiting for the final confirmation to pop up. There, it showed the items, xing and experience he had gained from fighting just a few moments before. The young man nodded his head, and pressed the okay button. Everything was moved to his inventory, and as promised, he had gained his levels. Sure, it was not much, but he was in dire need of leveling up.

The silver haired male took a deep breath, listening for anymore monsters or anyone trying to sneak up on him. Of course, he knew that if anyone did try and do that, he probably would not notice it with his current stats. Sighing, he lifted himself from off of his behind, and stood tall. Feeling a bit stiff, he stretched a little, feeling the cracks in his back and neck as he made every subtle movement. The world of FAO was really strange to him so far as a solo character, and to think of it as reality was even worse. The young man put his hands on his head, as he began to walk toward the City of Beginnings once more, to see what was going on with the rest of the people trapped in the game. He remembered hearing a lot of shouting, yelling, screaming and crying, but who knows? Maybe everyone got over the fact that they were trapped already? Maybe they are accepting their fate as members of this new society in the game? The one eyed male smirked, trying to control his laughter. "There is no way in hell that everyone there is calm... What am I saying?" The mere thought made him shake his head, as he began to walk back to where he started. He was not really sure of what he could do by himself at this point, but eventually, he would find something to do. Zel was planning on becoming a solo player, but at his current level, that was pretty much impossible. Considering that there was going to be more than just simple Nargs flying around trying to impede his progress. The thought of SAO reminded him of the people dying in the game, and the infamous player killers. Laughing Coffin was a real popular one, but they were nothing to laugh about. Sadistic, psychotic, brutal and just plain old crazy is how Zel described them, according to the articles. Knowing full well that they were ACTUALLY killing other people, they committed mass murders of unsuspecting players, just because. Like gangs basically; If you walk into the wrong neighborhood or area, you'll be dead. The male felt a chill on his back as he walked further, just thinking about it. "Red players huh... Not something I really wanna be bothered with..." Was solo really the right way to go? Partying up would be a good idea but... Who in the hell wants to trust people nowadays? Not this guy. Well, maybe. Partying up with strangers surely was not what he was looking forward to, that is for damn sure. "Oh wait... I'm pretty sure I'm in that guild because of this race thing.." The shaman had a real good thought, which were about to lead him into a series of really good questions.

That was where he needed to go. The guild. Paelion. It was a start at least. Maybe he could find out what he wanted to do if he got there? Then again, with EVERYONE becoming level one, there would be no REAL leadership involved with the guild at the moment. Not until someone proved that they were above the rest of the masses, and that they could lead them out of the game... Or just lead them in general. The young man smirked once more. Maybe HE could become guild leader... "Eh... That sounds like a lot of work..." Some much of his time and effort would be put into running things that he would barely have time to nap! Or train himself! No, it was a definite no. Shrugging it off, he continued on his way, with a clear destination now in mind.

As he walked, the young man felt a strange chill down his spine, almost as if he was being watched... Quickly, he turned around to find nothing was there. 'Odd... I feel like I'm being... Stalked. Is it a Red player? Already? s**t, the crazies gotta chill...' The monk halted his steps, and took a long stare at the trail behind him. Nothing but the beaten path and foliage there. Sighing, he scratched his head as he nervously laughed. 'Nah, there's no way they'd be THAT quick about player killing... Right? The game DID just start after all.. Well, technically it was four months ago.. but that's beside the point...' The male shrugged, and looked in front of him. His face turned blue, as his eyes met with the being in his path, a shade of some sort. A whisp, to be precise.

Zel nervously smiled, as he watched the monster float there, with its ghastly appearance. Its glowing white eyes and hooded features made it look a lot scarier than it actually was. The only thing that made the monk feel the slightest tinge of fear was the fact that for one, he had low health. On the off chance that he could fight this seemingly weak ghost, he wasn't sure how long he'd last, or rather, if he would last. The second and most crucial factor in his fear was the mere fact that he wasn't even able to fight back... His mana did not automatically recover upon leveling, so he had no sort of skills to take the whisp out. So now, the monk was in yet another dire situation... 'How in the ******** do I get out of this alive?...' The young man let out a nervous laugh, as he slowly backed up. The whisp followed, moving at the same pace as he did, almost like a shadow. Sighing, the monk stopped. There was really no clear, smart way out of it. The monster was in between him and his goal.

"We have literally just started this whole 'trapped in the game' thing, and I'm already getting into the worst possible situations... Just my damn luck." The young man squeezed the ridge of his nose, feeling another headache coming on. The stress was really getting to him at this point. "We have literally just started this whole 'trapped in the game' thing, and I'm already getting into the worst possible situations... Just my damn luck." The silver haired male took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself down. It was just ONE monster after all. He could get away from it. Right? Looking at the whisp stare right back at him was a bit nerve wracking at that moment, due to him not wanting to lose his small amount of xing. Every penny counts!.. Or so he was taught.

"Well. I need to go. I can't really fight you. Could you move please?" The whisp, as it naturally should, did not give any type of response. Zel sighed, wondering why he even bothered trying to communicate. "Of course not. It seems like I should just... RUN!" Out of nowhere, the male bolted past the shadowy figure, dodging its body once it tried to rush him. With no regard for anything but saving his new belongings from being dropped, the monk ran as fast as he could to get to the safe zone, also known as the City of Beginnings. At the rate he was going, he would not take too long to get to his destination. Once he got past the gates, he was safe. No red players, no monsters, nothing harmful could come his way after that, hence the term safe zone...

J continues to walk through the forest looking at the forestry and just takes in how beautiful the area is. He fiddles with his bag and puts everything that he has that is equipable on. He feels slightly weird even wearing armor, its his first time.
Continuing through his journey he feels like he is being watched, turning around and looking he sees nothing. He shrugs continues looking through the forestry. A rustling is heard in the bushes to the far right of him and he instantly tenses, he grows very stiff, his very first battle and he has no idea what he is doing. He quickly takes his shaky dagger out and points it towards the rustling bush.
A lvl 1 Norg appears in front him and he gasps. "Oh my god....you are so ugly!" He laughs at the creature in front of and it appears that the monster seems to get angry and comes charging at him. Before he can even realise what he is doing he kicks the nag away making him run into the tree opposite of him. Not knowing where that came from he looks at his hands completely shocked where it came from.
"Woah, maybe we CAN do this." He says to himself, he looks at the nag again and notices that the nag is quickly recovering. Getting ready again he puts himself in a fighting that resembles the one of a shield, placing his fore arm behind his dagger. He charges the nag as fast as he can. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!" Just as he is about to hit him, the nag easily smacks him to the side and J just sits there wondering why he came at him like. "Well that didn't work out..."
The nag seems to come up to him and the nag quickly pins the poor player down almost ridding him of his movement of his upper body,
the nag digs it's claws into the sides of his and he screams in agony as his health seems to be decreasing quickly.
"Am I really dying already.." He thinks to himself, is he dying? J starts to remember why he is here, he is here for a new life, this is now survival for the fittest, this lvl 1 monstrosity of a being cannot possibly beat me.
J goes into a state of focus and adrenaline, accumalating all his strength and lifts up his and stabbing the dagger on the leg of the nag, as the nag screeches in pain and gets off him, J is quick to react and pins the Nag down and continues to stab it through the neck letting the blood splatter over his face and his armor. Stab after stab the nag starts to die down, after the 12th stab to the nag he jumps off the monster and pants heavily. He did it, he killed it! "WOOOOOT I DID IT!"

And I'll save you when the sky falls...
So together we can break down the walls...
                                Now I'm everywhere, you know,
And I'll never let you go.
'Cause I'll save you when the sky falls.
Can you hear the siren call?

Sylvia stepped out of the City of Beginnings with a quiet groan, shielding her eyes for a second against the onset of the sun as she surveyed her surroundings again. Adequately quiet, for the most part - honestly, what she could expect from the outskirts of the city was about what she'd found. Still, things were rather set into motion, and she had to take advantage of something before it killed her. Honestly, she was still psyched out more than a little at the sense of elitism left behind. Shaking her head, she chuckled quietly at herself with a small smirk. "Sorry." She offered. "I have a real solid dislike of anyone out there with a bigger ego than my own.. and that's Legacy-class levels of insanity in there." She blinked, realizing the term 'Legacy' probably meant something very different to Nightengale from what it meant to her.

"Right... there was this other game I invested in called Convergence. Very territory-based system, but territory's a little hard to reach when all your starting towns are hostile to you, which is exactly what this cult of elite asshats ended up doing. Called themselves the Legacy, and par for the course if someone like me remembers that much. That in there?" She furrowed her brow, referencing the earlier NPC slaughterer. "That's Legacy-level insanity, even if we weren't all trapped. That's why I needed your help specifically; you have a lot more say in Jules than I ever will - maybe you can bring in some kind of middle ground until this whole thing's fixed?"

Desperate offer though it was, it was a pliable alternative to simply pushing to the end - and, something the so-called 'weaker' players could accomplish all the same. If it boiled down to crossing the finish line as a team, why not make the team as big as it could be to begin with?
Now watch me find a thousand ways
to tell you I love you and we'll be okay...
I'll run to the moon and walk on the sea.
I'll start a new world for you and me.

Do I Really Want To Leave...

An update. Gabriel opened it to reveal a system patch update revealing a whole array of entirely new monsters. "hm." Gabriel read through them with interest. More monsters meant more exp and the diversity would break the boredom that would eventually come from mindlessly hacking away at Nargs. The boy decided to head back to the forests to find these new creatures.

To his disappointment there were none of the promised creatures in the forest or at least none that he could find. "Well this blows." He mumbled leaning back against a tree to check the time. Where would he sleep when night came? Suddenly a noise came from nearby calling his attention. Following it he witnessed a boy struggling to fight against a Narg much like he did when he first had to kill one. Killing one was like a right of passage in FAO. Gabriel decided to watch from a distance what would happen of the boy. Interfering would not help him in the least. "You should help him." The Dark Passenger said beside him. Only Gabriel would see it. "Aren't you feeling like a true hero today?" Gabriel mumbled with his arms crossed still watching the fight. "I mean if you did the boy would obviously be in your debt. You could use it to your advantage. How far can being a solo player take you?" It asked. Not really looking in any direction seeing as it was a black cloud. "I don't think he'll need it." Gabriel added as the boy killed his enemy viciously. "He might have a little of spark." Gabriel saw the madness somewhere in there as the boy stabbed repeatedly even after the creature was dead.

"Hey kid." Gabriel announced walking up to the player.

J hears the other player call out at him and J is quick to reach for his dagger, not even hesitating he quickly gets into his fighting stance. J seems to be in a blood lust still and is not afraid to fight the opponent in front of him. He looks at the guy, he definitely looks like someone who knows his way around this game, could he have already played this game before it restarted?! Can I really fight him? "Survival of the fittest, Survival of the fittest....Survival of the fittest....." He whispered to himself just as he watched as the man calmly stared at him. "WHO ARE YOU!" He shouted at the unknown player. "WHOEVER YOU ARE, STAY AWAY FROM ME!" He was starting to shake, he was getting scared, J's fear seemed to be getting the better of him.

Do I Really Want To Leave...

The Dark Passenger was still beside Gabriel as he stood emotionless in front of the beginner. The boys panic did only enough to irritate Gabriel. Reminding him of the initial offset panic caused by the realization that you could no longer leave the game. With his hands in his pockets Gabriel watched the boy enter a fighting stance with his very own dagger. "He's in shock." The Dark Passenger said before Gabriel nodded in agreement. Even though it wasn't real killing something with so much detail could leave an impression on someone. He studied up the boy for a purely aesthetic understanding of who he was dealing with. The boy's level was obvious. "You still think he's worth our time?" Asked the Dark Passenger. Gabriel hated it when it referred to the situation with our instead of your. Putting his hand up slowly, Gabriel tried to calm the beginner down. "My name is not important." He started before walking around the boy. "For now call me...Kirito." Gabriel thought about the name. A little social experiment to throw out there. If he gained some notoriety people would think that it was the famous Kirito from the original SAO that was making a name for himself. "I am not here to hurt you." Gabriel continued still walking around him. Giving the whole situation an eerie vibe. "I am just seeing a fellow gamer in need of some assistance. Who would I be if I didn't help you." Sitting down on the grass, Gabriel crossed his legs and smiled at the boy. "I am actually a beta tester!" Gabriel lied. He knew the boy couldn't have been a beta tester. His lie was solid. "I know the ins and outs of this place and how to level up exponentially in no time! Maximum results!" Behind Gabriel a loud stomping could be heard. His smile never wavered. "Would you look at that?!" He announced as the steps came closer. The birds flew away and the passive forest animals all ran away quickly. The reason for the commotion was an enormous Fungus Tyrant. A monster of impressive stature and stench. Around it were two smaller Fungus Soldiers just absolutely ready to wreck someone. "You see in this world you need to always be ahead of the curb and you can't see a challenge as something to slow you down. The rules here are different! If it is challenging and takes up your time do it!" Gabriel got up on his feet before finishing his thought. "Stand up and fight so you can live. Do what you did to that Narg to the rest of this world. Stab until it doesn't get back up and the only thing standing is YOU!" The Fungus Tyrant let out an ear piercing screech at the two including the two soldiers around it.

Gabriel equipped his starter sword. Nothing special about it, but what he did with it was. His armor was already equipped. "Ok then." He mumbled looking a the tyrant without showing any fear. The colossal beast lifted both it's massive arms to aim at both the players. Then something went wrong. The monster started to show glitches in it's particles. "Huh?" Gabriel said confused by what was happening. The monster gave out a roar of defeat before falling to the ground apparently dead. "Well that was easy..."Gabriel joked honestly shocked by something in a while. Then soldiers began to crawl out of the Fungus Tyrant. Many of them as a matter of fact. They all rushed towards the two players with killing intent. "Get ready kid." Gabriel said finally entering a fighting stance with his sword.

In battle, Gabriel felt like he did when he punctured the lungs of his victims in the middle of the night. Plastic wrapping the entire room to avoid any evidence splattering on the floor or walls. At that moment he was peaceful and oh the joy when the victim woke up wrapped in plastic wrap and could only look at him. Not even squirm. Gabriel would wonder what they were thinking based purely on their eyes. That was him in battle. The Fungus Soldier exploding as it bled to death due to Gabriel's passive which caused anything he attacked to bleed. There were more spawning from within the tyrant. He couldn't stop. The rush of carnage was filling his mind again. "This world." He mumbled as he cut his way through several fungae. "This world is mine." He continued stabbing his blade into what appeared to be the stomach region of the Fungus soldier. He could feel the blade rupturing what ever it was that resided in that disgusting creature. Pulling his sword out, Gabriel noticed that he was becoming surrounded by them. "Heheehe. HAAHAA..." Gabriel began laughing and couldn't control his mentality. "Keep it together idiot." The Dark Passenger advised returning the boy to his normal self. "Do not lose focus. You are not a savage." Then he was gone. Gabriel, once he regained his cool, returned to hack and slash at the Fungus Soldiers even weakening some of them for the other boy to finish off. Gabriel hadn't been hit once by a single soldier. Unlike his previous fight with the Nargs he had more points invested In Dexterity and speed. He was becoming a monster step by step and could tell. Hopefully he could get the boy before him to the same height.

Remember, when disarming an armed opponent lock their arms and render their free movement useless. Never show them your back. Gabriel thought in regards to his self training during his early killing days. Back then he had no idea what he was doing nor what he wanted to actually do. He simply knew he had an urge which needed to be sated how and with what methods he'd use to sate it was the tricky part. A Fungus soldier slashed at the boy's face his reflexes just barely dodging it. He could see the fungus infest, jagged nails almost grazing his skin returning him to reality. Ducking and sweeping the legs of the creature it fell immediately to the ground. Just as the boy was about to send his sword straight into it for an execute two Fungus Soldiers grabbed him by the arms from behind even with his reflexes being relatively high for the current situation he had invested too much movement into the execution. "Hmph." He let out trying to free himself except his strength had not seen much investment although it was enough for him to kick one of the soldier in the stomach region and free an arm. Looking over at his arm he looked at it to see if he had been scratched or poisoned in any way. "Everything checks out." He mumbled looking at the two Fungus Soldiers that had grabbed him and the fallen Fungus Soldier that got back up instead of being executed. "You are slacking." The Dark Passenger pointed out behind Gabriel. It was true the boy couldn't deny it. While he was in fact level 5 it was not an extremely high level for him to be taking on a horde of enemies without pause. "How come you don't make an avatar and play?" Gabriel mocked wiping away digital sweat from his forehead. The darkness of his subconscious actually laughed somehow before vanishing again. The Fungus Soldier that had fallen before and escaped execution rushed towards Gabriel once again only to be cut down quickly. The other two Fungus Soldiers apparently left to go fight the lower level player leaving Gabriel alone to rest. Then something weird happened. The Fungus Tyrant was getting back up.

Gabriel had to compose himself for the potential life threat to come. A Fungus Tyrant from what he had read in the PATCH UPDATE earlier before reaching the forest was a creature with a certain set of abilities and relatively higher stats than other creatures by a very, VERY sizable gap. It shot out poisonous spores and something else he couldn't quite remember at that moment. "If you fight this you might die." The Dark Passenger warned spinning around Gabriel. The boy sighed waiting for the battle to start and tried to ignore it. "Stop doing this to yourself. It's clear you want to gain more power, but this is counter productive. Finally, Gabriel replied to the annoying thing. "If I die I'll lose a couple of crap items. I am willing to make this gamble." He said as the Fungus Tyrant got one foot planted on the ground. It would proceed to gain balance. "Stop this, Gabriel." It ordered. "STOP THIS AT ONCE!" It's shouting pierced through the boy's mind causing a mini-migraine. "You don't know when to shut up." Gabriel said with a much more gruff voice than usual. The Dark Passenger floated silently for a second before ultimately dissipating. "Finally." He mumbled as the Fungus Tyrant finally got back up completely. It looked down at him silently before picking one leg up and moving it so to stomp Gabriel into a gooey mush. It was far too slow, however and he quickly jumped out of they way. Gabriel tried slashing at the legs, but it proved to deal nothing or at least show nothing. The bleed did, however stack on the Fungus Tyrant, but one stack would get the boy nowhere. "What are we going to do about you?" He asked himself as a fist came flying towards him. The boy dodged again, but this time climbed on top of the arm and began to run up the arm length to finish the trek on it's shoulder. The view was so amazing from up there, but it would go unnoticed to the serial killing psychopath. He only wanted to get his god damn XP. A massive hand came up to swat at the boy as if he was a fly, but before it could end Gabriel's adventure the boy jumped away towards it's back and stuck his blade into the back of the monster. There were so many mushroom caps growing on the back of the monster that he could pull out and fall safely on one of them. The monster couldn't reach Gabriel from that angle and the boy could tell. It's arms could bend enough. "Looks like I'm going to be here for a while." He mumbled before beginning to stab repeatedly at the monster while sitting.

The monster would fall after a good 15 minutes of Gabriel just stabbed it non stop with his sword. His passive proved to be very useful in the situation and it was his luck to find such a sweet spot on the colossal beast. He was panting. How long had it been since he actually felt that way? Utter helplessness. "Well you did it." The Dark Passenger said appearing again next to Gabriel who was sitting against the carcass of the dead Fungus Tyrant. The boy didn't respond. Only sat there watching the sun go down. Fungus spores filling the air. "Do you think the boy managed to kill them all?" Gabriel could literally not care for the moment being he was extremely spent front all the non stop fighting and stayed quiet. A notification popped up in front of his face revealing the reply from Splatter Party member Divinity. Sure. Whatever. Meet in the Center Plaza. You will see me and a green haired girl. We will evaluate you there. If you are below level 5 we will just use you as a meat shield for the boss.

Gabriel disliked Divinity's disrespectful attitude, but shrugged it off. Getting up from the ground he limped over to the boy and added him to his friends list. "I'll see you around kid. Gotta go save the world or something."

Nightengale listened quietly to Sylvia, but she couldn't hold back a snort as the woman said something about her pull in Jules. "I don't have any say in Jules, no one even knows I'm there anymore. Not only do I not normally work with people, but I've also been on a hiatus for a few months. People in Jules have most likely forgotten about me, you're out of luck." She sighed silently, thinking about what Sylvia had said about people taking over cities and cities being hostile. "Cities are almost always safe areas, I don't think anyone can usually take over cities like that. Sure there'll be red players here and there; but most of the problems with the two guilds can be solved by us vouching for eachother when we go in to cities." She shrugged, adjusting her arm plates. Her head snapped back as she heard some rustling in the bushes behind her.

Her hand snapped to her back, her cloak billowing out as she did so. Before the bow was even in front of her, she already had an arrow notched and ready. She drew back the arrow and shot it in to the bush. She waited a moment, her eyes focused on to the bush for a moment. Within seconds, there was a screech and two nargs exploded from the bush. She hadn't hit one of them, only grazed; she must have missed it. She dodged out of the way as her narg made quick work of rushing at her while the other rushed Sylvia. Janah rushed a bit away so that she had some distance between her and the narg and then notched another arrow. She focused, her bow glowing as she shoved mana in to it about as quickly as she could. The narg rushed at her again and she dodged it, letting the mana in her arm slowly build up. This was the first serious fight she had gotten in to since the reset and blood was pumping quickly through her, usually she would be the one surprising her prey but it was switched around this time. As she focused on the Narg, time seemed to almost slow down for her as adrenaline coursed through her veins; she could feel the blood pumping in her face and her heart pounding in her chest. She was probably a bit more excited then she should be. The narg rushed her one more time and she let the arrow fly about as quickly as she could. The arrow landed, hitting square in between the beast’s eyes and the thing dropped to the ground with a screech. She notched another arrow and pointed it towards her pray as it twitched on the ground for a few moments, then exploded in to pixels right in front of her eyes.

As the player in front of him reveals himself as someone who doesn't appear hostile, as he looks at the "friendly" player he starts to grow very wary. How can a player that seems to be this calm in a situation where their life is completely on the line every second of every minute while being inside this hell hole of a game?! J starts to listen in on what the player in front of him appears to be saying. "For now call me...Kirito" Kirito....that name sounds so familiar to J, where has he heard the name...when the name Kirito comes into his mind the first thing that pops up is FOREIGN...could Kirito be that one foreign guy who used to deliver mail to me every sunday? Nooo...his name was kurto, not Kirito.
"I am not here to hurt you." Well that's good to hear, just as long as he isn't here to kill me i'm completely fine. With his shoulders relaxing themselves he lets out a huff of air that he didn't even realize he was holding. J zoned for a while before he heard the words "...beta tester!" Oh my gosh! A beta tester, from what I recall from my research on the game before I joined, beta testers are generally the people who come into this game with the most knowledge out of all the players. Maybe he isn't such a bad guy.
As Kirito continued to smile at J, he started to feel like something bad was about to happen. Loud stomping was heard from the nearby forestry surrounding the current players, as the stomping grew closer and louder he saw the forest animals running for their lives, a lot of which came running towards our direction. Noticing how fast the animals were scurrying away he knew that what was coming towards them was definitely something large.
A giant monster with fungus surrounding it appeared with 2 other smaller monsters flanking him from both sides, they appear to be soldiers of some sort, he can handle those smaller guys, but can he handle that huge ugly excuse of a monster. The Giant fungus let out his piercing screech and J had to cover his ears becuase of how loud the screech was, it was completely piercing, how could Kirito not be affected? This guy means business. J saw that Kirito was getting ready to fight, fighting....OH RIGHT, J took out his dagger remembering that he too can fight.
J started to feel this feeling that is starting to grow familiar, the feeling is...intense. Could this be the adrenaline of fighting? Maybe it's something else, well whatever it is it feels great! As he got in his fighting stance he noticed something going wrong with the Big fungus and it seemed to be...glitching? "What...." He watched as the giant creature fell in defeat. "What just-" before he could finish his sentence small little soldiers that seemed to be what were flanking the Big guy started to come out of the creature in growing numbers. "Get ready kid." He gave a simple nod towards the warning that Kirito was sending at him.
Before he could even begin to fight he stared in shock at what Kirito was doing. Massacre, a massacre is the only word that seemed to cross his mind when watching Kirito fight these monsters. "Woah!" His gawking was cut short as one of the fungus soldiers actually acknowledged his presence and came charging at him, this what he was waiting for, the feeling is coming back. "Survival to the fittest..Survival to the fittest..." he repeated to himself as the soldier charged at him. Charging towards the soldier he positioned himself vertically, dodging the blade barely, using his shoulder J shoves the soldier back making him fall.
Before the monster can get up J quickly gets on top of him and puts his dagger directly in the throat of his enemy. He stabs one more time watching the life drain from the poor soldier. Removing his dagger he watches as a wounded warrior is being guarded by another one of his fellow helpers. "Easy prey." He charges towards the 2 soldiers and uses his shoulder once again and shoves the healthy soilder away leaving the wounded soldier open and defenseless. Without any hesitation Judgement brings his dagger towards the torso of the soldier, twisting it so the wound gets even worse. Before he can pull his dagger out, it breaks.
"Damn!" J watches as the soldier that he knocked away is noticing the obvious loss of weapon and watches as the face of the horrendous looking soldier turns into a jagged tooth smirk. "Poker face." He whispers to himself, as he quietly equips the other dagger that he had in his bag just in case of a situation like this. Hiding the dagger behind his back he watches as the soldier gets closer and closer to him.
J decides to do a little acting, he puts on a complete face of worry and fear. As the soldier appears right above him, J kicks at the soldier's shin and takes out his dagger stabbing it in the lag. Watching at the annoying thing screech in pain, he takes out his dagger and continuously stabs the creature in the exact same spot, again and again, the feeling, it was coming back to him. He just kept stabbing and stabbing and stabbing not giving a care that the pest has already died. After an 8th stab J stops and turns around looking at the progress that Kirito has done.
He did it, Kirito actually slayed the humongous fungus creature. Wow. J got up from the floor that he was still on and wiped off some dirt that was on his clothes. He watched as Kirito limped to him, oh no, he is hurt. He noticed a notification appear that Kirito has indeed added him, yay a friend. "I'll see you around kid. Gotta go save the world or something"
"Wait!" He called out at his new retreating friend. "Let me heal you." He turned around and concentrated, a little bit later he felt blue wings appear from his back, wings that were almost too transparent to see. "Let me just see your hand real quick!" He gleefully said turning his head to the side smiling. A glow of light transfers from the wings through Kirito's body and it closes up all opened up wounds and patches up all cats, healing him back up to full hp. "Yeah, I will see you later." He said turning aronud from Kirito and walking deeper into the wilderness, in the hopes of finding another friend.

Still, she had to admit her results for her efforts in diplomacy had been stifling at best; the only cooperation it seemed she was going to get was born entirely out of self-interest, which itself struck a cold chord in the infernal depths of her mind. Even with her question still hanging in the air, the siren found herself suspecting she already knew the answer; when a conversation was predictable enough to reach that point, it was almost always bad news.

Ultimately, all she could do was shrug with mild resignation at the reality of her situation and move on. For now, there was still the matter of reaching a level of personal competence that allowed well enough for advancement; a situation that Sylvia very much found herself no longer threatened by, but she was as attached to their deal as Nightengale was - which meant almost inherently that she determined the terms of her release, as it were. Not that she minded; she seemed reasonable enough anyway, and there didn't seem to be a lot of harm in the matter.

This World Can Satisfy My Desires...

Player: ???
Creep

Do I Really Want To Leave...

Several notifications cluttered the front of Gabriel's face all at once almost giving him a small seizure. "What in the hell?" He shouted shutting his eyes in an attempt to block out the notifications. Without looking he clicked on one of them opening up simultaneously all of them. Opening his eyes the boy would see several updates about the games which not only included the monster of which he already faced, but apparently there had been area expansions. Gabriel had planned on grinding once again since the crew of people deciding to take on the floor boss didn't seem to appeal to him and they also had a decently sized team. "What are you going to do?" The Dark Passenger asked manifesting by the boy's side again. "Seems like you can find more opportunity there and if you look at the notification correctly you will be rewarded for finding this area." The Dark Passenger explained. Gabriel did not respond. He would only look at the mission description contemplating his future actions like usual. A decent reward of XP with a potential monster along the way which he was more than equipped to take on. "Ok." He said closing the digital panel in front of him. "I'm heading back to The Wilderness." And with that he was off.

The wilderness was just as he left it. Teeming with life spanning from insignificant insects to the newly spawned Fungus Monsters. Grass Imps waddled around everywhere now. The boy got close to one once and felt himself being watched by something. Something dangerous and decided to leave it be. The XP he would gain from it would be insignificant. The Tree Ents were so kind to the players and it was rare to find them being killed for XP and when he did find someone killing one the death scene was horrifying even for Gabriel. The serial killer actually felt odd watching it. Almost as if their soul turned into pure darkness and went somewhere else. He tried not to think too much into it.

After some time walking the boy stumbled upon an area his map did not represent correctly and it almost seemed bugged out. He didn't immediately consider that to signify him approaching the new area, but he had no where else to go so he just kept on walking. Upon entering the area the boy would receive a notification rewarding him for discovering the new Wilderness level expansion area. "Hmm." He hummed sitting down with his legs crossed. He observed the land for a brief minute. Stayed completely silent to hear the call of the wilderness. Once he found himself ready to proceed the boy continued.
"What was that?" The Dark Passenger asked appearing next to Gabriel while floating around the boy slowly. "Since when do you meditate?" It asked with curiosity in it's eerie voice. "I wasn't meditating you idiot." Gabriel replied without looking at it and walking through the new area. "Then what was it?" It asked again. Gabriel sighed trying to ignore it, but it just did not seem like he would be able to free himself from the nuisance that was the Dark Passenger. "You shou-" Gabriel had invested in dexterity and that would save the boy from getting hit in the head by an arrow. He grabbed it just before hitting him and looked towards the direction where it came from. He was in an open field surround by dense forests. What ever attacked him was hiding itself. "Isn't this something?" The boy mumbled walking in the direction where the attacker was hiding. Another arrow swooshed past his head. This time dodging was not needed. It was off. Who or what ever was shooting at him was clearly scared. "Sword." Gabriel commanded. Apparently, manually selecting a weapon was not needed as one could voice command it to materialize. He could it see it now. A hooded figure hiding atop of the trees with a bow aimed at him. "You going to shoot me?" He asked waiting to dodge the Elven Archer. They were level two monsters that attacked and travelled in squads of three Gabriel remembered reading about them. So far they seemed very weak and insignificant to him. Then when he stepped forward and felt his foot trigger something he remembered. "They set up traps..." He mumbled before flying up in a sac. His vision completely blocked.

"Why are you kidnapping me!" He shouted from inside the sac. To his surprise the Elven Archers had not killed him once he fell into their trap. Instead they took him down and started dragging him away with them. That was not written in their description. "This is so stupid!" Gabriel shouted completely unlike himself. The calm and collected boy did not like losing control of the situation. He had no power. The sac they put him in simply would not break. "I WILL KILL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU DO YOU HEAR ME!!!" The Elven Archers all giggled while two dragged and one led. Then something happened. He could only hear the Elven Archers whispering to each other in something that was definitely not Japanese or English. Then he hear them run away. "WHAT?! GET BACK HERE!!" He shouted jumping up and down in the sac. After some struggle he managed to get on both feet and hop. Then something hard blocked his body. It smelled foul even from behind the sac. "Oh crap." He could hear it. Pleading for him to kill it. Pleading for Gabriel to end it's suffering. Then the gargling began. Like some zombie movie. It began to mercilessly attack the boy ripping at the sac with it's bare hands and actually managing it. Once it ripped it up Gabriel could see what he was dealing with. A Corrupted. "********." It screeched grasping at his head to spread it's infection. The Dark Passenger would appear just at that moment and say, "You should really get out of the bag." It said casually watching the confrontation go down. "You think?!?!" Gabriel shouted keeping the Corrupted back with his arms from behind the sac, but he could only push so much. Eventually he would use his shoulder and shove it away in order to gain some time to get out of the bag completely. Just as he was about half way through freeing himself he heard a noise. Like something getting stabbed and dying. Looking over to where the Corrupted should have been, Gabrel saw an Elf like female standing over the monster with a blade. It looked down at Gabriel with scorn. Gabriel was out of the bag at that point and pointed his sword at the Elven Queen. It only attacked if provoked and at that moment, Gabriel was very upset with how the Elven Race had treated him. "You die here." He stated just before the Dark Passenger vanished. The Elven Queen's look of distaste only grew with the challenge, but her stance proved his acceptance.

The two would dash towards each other. The Elven Queen would send a bolt of lightning at Gabriel who would dodge it and continue towards it. Their swords would not clash as Gabriel's speed was too great for the Elven Queen to block or counter. With this Gabriel would attack it with a frenzy of slashes stacking bleed on the Elven Queen five times. It fell to one knee as it's hp slowly drained away before looking up at Gabriel. "You kidnapped the wrong player." He stated bringing the blade down into it's skull. XP flowing through Gabriel. It was the second level 3 monster he took down. Much easier than the Fung Tyrant.

Gabriel left the new area behind. He grew tired of the Wilderness area and if his notifications were correct there were several more exploration missions to exploit. The Dark Passenger would appear as he walked alone and ask, "Where will you head now?" Gabriel contemplated where or not to answer and also, where he in fact would go to. Then another thought. "Why do you ask questions you know the answer to?" Gabriel asked before it disappeared again.

She noticed all of the monsters around the field, and she could just as easily get started. But she'd prefer waiting for the moment until they all come. She watched the monsters walking around, wondering what they felt like, but she wasn't about to go up to one and just poke it, that might anger it. There were others players training in the field, as she watched them fighting the monsters, and winning some experience. Waiting patiently was starting to bore her, she wanted to get started, the faster they leveled, the faster they'd escape. But there was no use in fighting without them, she didn't like to do things by herself anyways, training with others was more enjoyable. In case not to get noticed by a monster, Litzy stood as far away from the pack of monsters as she possibly could, wondering when they'd all come. Maybe she shouldn't have hurried there, but she was just so excited, she couldn't contain herself any longer!

Opening up her item inventory, she just wanted to check and see if she really lost all of her items she had before, or maybe she was just in a horrible dream. Going through them all, nope. They were certainly all gone. That really kind of pissed her off, she worked so hard to get all those items. And she was grateful to have help getting it, and it just made her feel like she never did it with any of her friends in real life. Though the people in this game, seemed much more nicer and because of that, she could be much more herself. It was nice not having to change herself to better fit in, she was more comfortable being the person she was deep down. Sighing a heavy breathe to release anything in her mind, Litzy began to twirl around which began to make her dizzy, and she waited for the dizziness to go away. She continued to wait, looking all around for any sign of them as she did.
