The shadows grew and engulfed the knight's mind. Memories flashed and overtook one another. Koray recalled his mother only to have the Sidhe Queen's image plastered over her as his weapon roared in his head....
The shadows whipped and furled like they always did...everything was chaos. Everything was destruction. She was always there. Caring in her own right. Mothering him...she was his world. His Queen. He would treat her like a mother, though he knew he was far from son to her. Her butterfly's tickled and fascinated him. Though the small creatures balanced delicately on his hand they took off as his Queen came forward...
Her hands on either side of his face. She smiled. He smiled in return before blood splattered on his face. He slowly looked down to see his blade through her...no...no...no....
YOU KILLED MOTHER!!!!!!!!
Koray jerked as he felt a intangible blow. Panting he felt madness take over. She gave him a task to perform...what was it...what was....
The grail.

Koray sat up as he gripped his head. The grail...Galahad had...no..he wasn't suppose to. That wasn't his to take...
She asked him and others to guard the artifact. No one was to touch it...then he came. He hurt him and the others...he hurt them and got the grail. She was going to be upset with them for sure. But they wouldn't make it easy...turning him mad was easy. Turning him against all the others....
Priceless.
Koray felt sick. His eyes watered as he thought of the Great Knights who went mad. Of those...who were slaughtered....he fought back sobs.
Lancelot...oh spirits what did he do? Koray blinked...he saw Lancelot before tho...but...where?
Oh...that one festival.

Koray felt lighter as he fell onto his back. Light dancing in front of his eyes most likely weren't signs of good health. But...he was remembering something...
It was a festival that his village threw for the harvest. Firelight danced with the figures the child watched readily. He and the other children were told they could stay up for as long as their little minds could stand it. Koray saw Mordred there...the knight was passing through with another. Though the violet knight was seemingly bored. The white knight beside him smiled and clapped at the preformance. Koray thought it was odd, his village praised the knights and held the serpent in high honor for the values he upheld. Yet...he yawned?!?
Koray blinked...who the heck yawned at a festival?!? The child was distracted at the clamor of a small fight. Uh - oh...Koray knew that those two uncles always fought after drinking from their mugs. the child watched the white knight spring up and part the two. Koray wandered out into full view as the male walked back shaking his head. The knight stopped smiled down at the child then ruffled Koray's hair. Koray giggled then held up his hands. "Up, sir knight. Up!"
His mother let out a gasp and the knight luaghed. "Very well then..." Koray let out a high giggle as he was lifted into the air and placed on a broad shoulder. "And the name is Lancelot..."
Koray felt the tears and knew he was crying. The youth let his mind wander as he recalled the valor the knight showed. Valor he lacked one summer not long after...

Koray twisted as he felt the shadows curl around him. He was restrained...NO! Not again!!!
It hurt...it hurt so much! This was punishment...for failing. For letting the grail fall. He didn't know why or who was sealing him. But they were and it HURT!!!!!!!!!!!! Feeling nothing he felt his soul cry out as the chains kept him standing....
Koray glanced to his voluge. Eyes hazy with water.

He cried...for his weapon. His family always taught him to value everything given to him.
He held up the serpent pendant Efe made him. Smiling up at his eldest brother. He giggled when he heard that another sibling complained about his gift. Leaning back into his elder brother the youth was content...
Though he recalled a moment when he wasn't so content...

Koray shuddered...
He had found something interesting. It was a piece of jewlery once he picked it up the youth saw seomthing which chilled him to the bone.
He laid out on the rock...gutted. Bloody. Dead.
For weeks after he had nightmares of how he got there.
Koray panted...there was that one summer.

He was suppose to help a few friends do something...
What they didn't tell him was that is was playing pranks and hurting someone. There they were nursing a cut knee due to their prank.
He had a choice. To leave with his friends...or help. He helped...turning his back on his friends. Running from them as he assisted the person who they hurt...

It was that urge to help which lead him here....
He was swinging his staff, twirling it as he recalled the movements he was taught. He was here. He was going to do this...He was going to be a Knight....
