Koray sat on a fallen tree near the Lake, watching the calm waters as he thought. There were a lot of Knights here he could recall and...many he didn't. He sighed...socializing wasn't his strong suit. He was fine once the conversation started...as long as he didn't have to start it that is. Looking around again he leaned his chin on Yildirim, ignoring the chains on the weapons blade as he did so.

The Lake was an adequate place to rest and rejuvenate oneself as Ruth found. Holding More or Less aloft because she sullying either end of her weapon with the ground or belittling their worth as a weapon into a mere walking stick was unthinkable. (Up until the situation desperately called for physical support, in which case her javelin was simply serving a higher purpose. Namely her survival.) For now, she was aimlessly wandering around until she saw a familiar young man, "You managed to survive this far?"

A pause as he heard that unmistakable voice...oh no. Oh spirits no. Oh please bane of darkness---he looked. OH CRAP ITS HER!!!!!!!!! Koray didn't pale...nah he wouldn't do that. He did however scoot ever so slightly away. Blinking slowly he nodded. "Yeah...good to see you again, Ruth. How's all this---" he waved a hand around. "Been treating you?"

Brenley was glad for this respite, especially after that harrowing fog horse ride. He knew that one of his knightly vows had been to become proficient at riding, but at the rate at which he lost horses while questing up the mountain, he hadn't had much time to practice.
The boy meandered over to a small group that had gathered near the lake and took a seat on a log, resting Lat across his lap and watching the other knights for a while.

Ruth ought to be offended at the way Koray seemed taken aback by her presence. She was a White Knight, God damn it! She was supposed to be a beacon of Hope, Openness, Kindness and- oh who was she kidding? If she kept on that train of thought she wouldn't be able to keep a straight face.
So she didn't. Her lips pulled into a smirk as she answered, "As well as lack of adequate food, rest, and shelter can afford anyone. Oh and I hope you didn't take offense at my statement. It was a compliment and an admission that I had severely underestimated you." The sweet smile did nothing to ease the condescension in her voice.
But she did shift her stance a little, lowered her head to seem more meek and humble. Mostly because she spied from the corner of her eye a third knight had joined them. She vaguely recognized him, perhaps she'd recognize him better if there were shadowy creatures about.
"Hello, are you well?" she called out.

"Tired but alive," he replied to the white knight, smiling rather bleakly. And then, because the other had asked, he creaked back to his feet and joined the pair with a shrug.
"If only we had some dice or cards or... something," he sighed. With their history sacrificed and the future uncertain, all they had to talk about was the horrible recent past. Somehow he didn't think that would be all that relaxing.

"Tired but alive is marginally better than tired of being alive, is it not?" she smiled in what she hoped was a warm and welcoming way. "You have a habit of gambling?" her lips pursed in a disapproving fashion but given their circumstances, any sort distraction would be a welcomed one.
The curve of her mouth turned from disapproval to curious pondering. "Though what could one wager here in this place? At this time?"

Koray blinked as he pulled his satchel into his lap. He had a host of random objects in the darn thing he knew he had something...AHA! He pulled out a deck of cards with a smile. "So...who's up for a friendly game? Maybe after we meet up later for a Quest? Winner decides."
He thought of the offer as soon as he saw that it was the three of them there. Perfect group for a outing he thought. He hummed..."Though, honestly I don't know how to play with others." he looked away. Still holding out the deck in case either of the other two wanted to take the lead.

"I suppose," he said with a brief laugh. He was certainly not yet tired of being alive.
"And no, I barely know how to play either," Bren continued, smirking at the violet knight's cards. "Maybe we can just declare the one who draws the highest card the winner?" There was still the question of what they would bet, if they were going to bet anything at all, but he had no answer to it. All he knew was that no one was getting his armor.

After he had gotten himself cleaned and patched up (for the most part), Shun went on to stroll around the perimeter of the lake. He was mostly looking to have some peace and quiet to himself, and perhaps think over the things that had transpired as of late, in order to try and mentally prepare himself. Things have been...trying, to say in the least. And soon, they would all be heading back to Camelot to finish things. Many of them were likely to not live past the battle. The Great Knights, whoever they may be, likely will not be the only 'sacrifices' of the war.
He heard a bit of chattering somewhere nearby. Shun turned towards the source to see a small gathering of Knights. It looked like they were playing with cards, or something to that effect. It wasn't too easy to see from where he was currently. He wasn't sure how they could go about doing that. Distractions such as that did not seem like a very good idea to him at the moment.

Koray nodded. "Sounds reasonable...Highest card wins." as he spoke the youth looked up and over to Lancelot. "I think he's decided...you all up for what's to come?" Clearly ready to get up...but scared at the same time. Koray shuffled before holding out the deck. He slipped off a card and smiled at the other two.
He sat up a little higher seeing another knight. "Hey...did you wanna play too?" he thought he'd ask.

No, he could very easily admit to himself that he was not at all prepared for what was to come. At least it seemed like Lancelot didn't appear inclined to choose anyone who hadn't volunteered. Like the guy standing disapprovingly above them. Somehow Bren had a feeling he wasn't going to want to play cards with them, even if he wasn't one of the ones chosen.
He took one with a small shrug. "I'm ready enough. I know I can help with the infirmary, at least. What are the violet knights responsible for?"
