Johan ran into one of the smaller enemies when he next entered the battlefield.
It wasn't a hard hitter, or terribly tough. But it was feisty. Johan spent the better part of an hour pursuing it, avoiding its claws, and attempting to corner it long enough to land a hit. When he finally did, he hit it hard. He didn't have the energy to keep this up for much longer.

Back in the fields on patrol, Damien was not sure if the guy who was fighting was just good at his task or if he was always getting into trouble. The beast this time was much smaller than the snake and not as vicious as the Crab. He was glad to lend his weapon to the cause and taking a stab from behind the swordman. It was in this fight that Damien was feeling particularly spry, taking the initiative of not providing only cover but leading the attack, and cleaving at the beast's neck till it was on the ground. "Have at thee!"

And then a godsend. Another fighter jumped in. One he'd fought alongside before!
"Indeed." Johan replied, in between gasps for air. As the other Knight-Apprentice finished off the wily creature, Johan recovered from the chase. "Many thanks. I don't think I ever learned your name last time you came to help me."
He didn't expect it to be felled so fast, but Damien was already standing over the beast, and greeting the person who helped him before. "I just wanted to make sure that you were ok." bowing back "Damien Gavenkrantz, Well Met."
