Virtues:

Steadfast – Very little has been known to shake Beau's resolve. Not fear or sadness, not anger, not hope, not uncertainty. Once he's made a decision about something or someone, he tends to stick with it. He faces life unwaveringly, with a resoluteness that could be commended. Years in the military have conditioned him towards dedication and unswerving loyalty. Beau isn't the sort to go halfway. Rather, he dedicates himself to a task and remains firm in purpose. Beau is faithful and unflinching, both in regards to the people in his life as well as his duties.

Assertive – Beau is not the type to shy away from a challenge. Indeed, he's the type of meet challenges head on. Though not cocky, he is nonetheless confident and self-assured. He isn't the type to doubt his own abilities. He's had years to learn what his limits are, and he's constantly pushing them further. Beau is bold and courageous, nearly fearless, and has a bit of an adventurous streak that makes a calm, serene life seem like a boring life. He's the decisive sort, able to make quick decisions without second-guessing himself.

Diligent – If there's one thing that can be said about Beau above all else, it's that he's hard-working. He faces a task with persistence and industriousness. But his actions are not made without consideration; he is careful and conscientious, aware of his surroundings as well as the people who may be affected by his actions and decisions. He makes observations and comes to a decision over after he'd been over every last pain-staking detail. Beau doesn't miss much. He's always on alert even now that he's retired and living a strictly civilian life.



Flaws:

Temper – Though he isn't one to show much emotion, Beau nonetheless has quite the temper. In his youth it was hot and explosive, ready to be set off at any moment. His time in the navy taught him restraint; he's learned to control his temper and channel it into more productive pursuits. Unfortunately, he tends to hold back and bottle things up now, and though his temper doesn't explode quite the way it used to, it's fairly easy to tell when something happens to ignite it. These days, his temper tends to be calm and cold instead of hot and explosive. He doesn't even have to say anything. Just by a look, you know when you've done something to cross him.

Hardass – Decades in the military have taught Beau loyalty and dedication. As a result, Beau likes rules and regulations. He finds that rules are rules for a reason, and he makes sure he follows them. He believes others should follow them with the same diligence. Beau has expectations, and he has expectations for those expectations. Often, he comes off as being quite uptight. That assumption isn't entirely inaccurate, though Beau would rather someone believe otherwise.

Impersonal – Though he gets by well enough with his family, Beau isn't usually the type for grand displays of affection. He is formal and distant from most people, with the result that he comes off as cold and impersonal. Someone who doesn't know him well might even assume that he just doesn't care. The truth is, Beau cares quite a lot, he's simply conditioned himself not to show it. He doesn't laugh when he finds things amusing, he's s**t at the small talk people use to get to know one another, and he has a cold, distant air about him that can seem rather off-putting.
