Holding onto a pouch of grains Sy walked with her familiar. She had noticed that lately she was able to walk a bit farther than usual due to her comfort with the scorra at her side. The red head was smiling fondly at the flightless bird as he tried his best to reach around her and peck at the pouch. He wanted his treat but she was saving it for when he learned a trick. "Stop that, Elyam." Her laughter would fill the air as she twisted away from him. Syqvara held up a stick instead and showed it to him. "Remember what I said. You learn a trick and you get a treat." He tilted his head at her and eyed the stick in her hand and even watched it as she threw it, however he didn't move. It was enough to make the leaf girl chuckle. "Silly, you are supposed to go get it." The scorra took a step toward her and went after the pouch again. Sy shook her head and made to run away, still amused by her familiar's antics.

Xarnith was sent out to gather kindling for the fires for the night. The twins had been sent with him...standing he looked around. The two idiots weren't seen so he let out a low groan. Just great. The twins went off to do their own thing. Well, he couldn't control them so whatever. The male refocused on his task at hand to look up in time to see a Sccora. The female with it seemed to be playing with it...but you never could tell if she wasn't being harassed or not. The male strode over. "Miss. Are you alright?"

When Elyam went for the pouch again she gave a squealing giggle and gently swatted at him. The large bird was enjoying the game and avoided her hand before he flapped his small wings in mock protest. When the voice of someone else chimed in Sy lost focus on what she was doing, her green eyes going toward who spoke, and at the same time she fell backward onto her bottom. Giving a small yelp on the way down she dropped the pouch of grains and did her best to catch herself with her hands. "Oof.." Syqvara ended up scraping the palms of her hands and giving a wince as her cheeks flushed a charming pink. "I-I'm fine, th-thank you." The scorra, after having watched his owner's reaction, turned his head to eye the male that had come over. It took a moment before the flightless bird stepped in front of Sy and fluffed up it's feathers. He was determined to not let the male any where near his companion.

A soft smile grew on Xarn's face as he watched the companion, "Well, aren't you the faithful one. It seems my thought was mistaken. Sorry for scaring you both." The male turned his head as he shifted the kindling bag on his side. He looked back up to notice she was hurt. The male shifted the pouch to a compartment on the side where a small healers kit had been stowed. Xarn was taught to tend to scuffles as the twins were prone to foolish antics. He pulled out a small bandage, "If your friend will let me, I can tend to those palms...a few cousins of mine are prone to scratches so most of us in their age group got pretty used to it." He wished he had his own friend, it was lonely out here sometimes.

The scorra made a vague motion with his head, almost as if threatening to peck at the male if he got closer. When Xarn spoke to the bird Sy looked up at him and made a bit of a face. It seemed her familiar was still not too sure about others getting near her. At least this time it hadn't been the overgrown bird that had knocked her down. Her gaze went back to the boy as he mentioned her palms and that he tended to his cousins often. Sy gave a small nod of her head before she cleared her throat and spoke to the scorra. "Elyam.. it-it's okay boy." Her hand came up so that she could pat the beast but she stopped as she noticed the blood beading to the surface and the sand stuck in the open skin. She cringed at the damage she'd done to her hands. Hearing her voice the bird turned to look at his owner then moved out of the way so that he could circle her and lean his head down to rub against her cheek. He was showing affection but also checking to see if she was hurt.

With a semi bow the male steeped forward to kneel in front of the female. He glanced up to the flightless bird. "Elyam, was it...thank you for letting me check on her." he offered both another smile before taking the bag off. Setting it down he then took one of her hands in his own. The female would feel his callouses from his daily training and tasks with his family group. The male's eyes were gentle as he turned to rummage in the compartment for something. A long lock of white blonde hair slipped to tickle her palm as he shifted through the pouch. Turning back, he let go completely to toss the lock back with a grumbled, "Stupid hair." He hummed, "Now then...let's clean this." Picking up his water flask he dabbed a piece of cloth then gently wiped the palm clear of dirt and beading blood. He then smiled at her before taking out a small jar. Opening it he balanced it on the side of his knee, dipping a few fingers in he then spread the balm on her palm before taking a leaf to cover it. Lightly wrapping the whole thing he chuckled. "Its a lot I know...but in a few hours the abrasion should calm down and the bleeding should stop." he repeated the process for her other hand. "There we go...hows that feel?"

When the male spoke to the bird it lifted it's head so that it towered over both of them. Turning it's head this way and that it eyed the boy before it leaned down to peck at his hair. The strand that ad gone to touch his owner's hand was something he attacked in particular. Sy saw the bird going at Xarn and blushed even more, embarrassed that her familiar would do such a thing. "E-Elyam!" As the boy cleaned her palm she gave a small hiss and closed her eyes in a wince. Sy did her absolute best not to pull her hand away though. When one hand was finished she brought her gaze up to meet Xarn's and nodded her head before surrendering her other hand. She'd take both of her hands back when he was finished, giving a small nod of her head before she answered. "I-it's better, thank y-you." With the male no longer needed to help his owner the flightless bird flapped his wings and did his best to step between the two.

Xarn chuckled, "He's fine. I was expecting worse out of him to be honest." the male moved to datnd. Offering a hand to the slender female, "Here. Let me help you up. We can find a place to take a rest at to make sure your okay for real." he was concerned for the female. She was out here alone, well...not entirely alone. Still though.

Sy shook her head a bit. "I-I'm sorry, he d-does that." Again she made a face at the bird. Shooing it out of the way she offered her hands to the boy so that she could get to her feet. Of course he'd have to be gentle since he did just wrap them. As Sqyvara shooed the scorra out of the way he seemed to balk a little and moved around Xarn, trying to better protect his owner from the boy. However, the large east would end up knocking into the male and pushing him forward. The bird would think of this as a good idea and move to put more weight on him, seeing it as a way to keep him from going anywhere with Sy.

Xarn was in the process of straightening his back to allow Sy the ablitiy to stand, but it seemed the bird had other ideas. With a short yelp the male found himself pinning the smaller female under him. He caught himself last minute so that he was leaning over her as his weight was fully on his braced arm. He let out a groan as the bird proceeded to sit on him. Pushing his lower body into hers Xarn repressed the blush. He blinked as he fumbled for his voice. Finding it he stuttered out. "B-by the way. My name's Xarnith."

With Xarn's help she went to get to her feet, relying on him to hold her weight for a second, but before she could even manage to move her feet she was back on the ground. Only it wasn't just her bottom that was met with the sand, it was her back as well as Sy was practically sprawled out from the sudden weight that pinned her. Cheeks blazing she could only stare at the boy for a moment. That hadn't been expected. Her heart raced a little and when he stuttered she looked away. "I-I'm Sy-Syqvara." It was then that she noticed the scorra. The little devil had pushed Xarn over! What's more is the bird was sitting on him! Syqvara felt even more embarrassed now and her redness spread to her ears and neck. Biting down on her bottom lip she moved her arms so that she could reach around the boy and swat at her familiar. Of course she had to lift her body a little bit off the ground and get closer to Xarn but she couldn't think of anything else to do. "Elyam! B-Bad!" She whined.

The male couldn't move back that far as he felt her rise up. He still felt her press against his chest. Breath catching a little in the back of his throat as he gulped. The male glanced over his other shoulder at the birdy, giving it a good glare before turning his head. Sadly as he turned the male felt his lips press against Sy's cheek. His face now a blazing red, he jerked his head back to avoid further embarrassment. "S-sorry! Uhm...Elyam...if you get off I got a fruit with your name on it in my bag." he attempted to bargain with the creature.

"Sh-shoo... Shoo.. Elya--" Sy blinked as she felt something press against her cheek. It was her turn to gulp. She turned her head to look at Xarn with a surprised expression. Her body was still lifted up as she had been mid swat but as she heard him try to bargain with the flightless beast she lowered herself back down to the ground. Shifting and squirming beneath him she tried to locate her pouch. When she found it she reached for it, only to notice it was just our of her reach. "Uh.. X-Xarnith... can y-you.. can you g-grab my b-bag.. his t-treats are in it." Her bright green eyes were looking up at him innocently as she waited for him to answer. The bird on the other hand had yet to move. He had not yet looked down to realize that the boy he was sitting on was also on top of his owner. The scorra thought that he was on the ground and Sy was trying to save him. When Xarn had tried to bribe him with fruit the bird only shifted so that he could sit more fully on him and nose at the bag to see if there was indeed a treat.

Xarn looked down at her with a shaky nod. Feeling her squirm the male had to take a sharp breathe. Oh boy that felt...odd. He wasn't usually this close to females, being as his main tasks back with the group was manual labor. He sucked in another breath before looking down at the bird. "Oh sure. Go and search it out you lazy bum..." He sighed before shifting his other hand around the female's waist. Finding her pouch he knew they were close. Way too close together. Opening it he pulled out a treat. "This it?"

She turned her head so that she could focus on the nearby grass rather than Xarn. Sy gave a small squeak as his hand touched the crystals on her side and arched her back a little. Oh spirits this was embarrassing. Syqvara would make sure Elyam got no treats for a week for this. When the boy found the bag and what was in it she nodded. "Y-yes.." The red head fumbled to take it from his hand and waved it around at the scorra, once more bringing her body close to Xarn's. "Elyam.. h-here boy.." The scorra's attention was snagged when he saw Sy's hand with the treat. He took interest in that and when his owner threw the treat he went after it. Elyam left Xarn alone to go in search of his treat that was now on the ground some feet away.
