. FRIDA . ..."peace" or "beautiful, beloved" .gender. female .race. venator .creation. hen + egg dye .personality. protective, watchful, insecure Frida has some aspects of her personality that might almost seem contradictory. She is extremely protective of those she deems need it, especially the young - although she feels as if she shares a lot with older people. Despite her strong convictions and need to protect, Frida is extremely insecure - always wondering if she is doing a good job, if the souls are 'happy', and really concerned about what the other reavers think of her (to see if they find her weak enough to attack or steal from her). This aeterna is anything but impulsive. She watches, plots, and waits. Frida has all the time in the world. Despite her traits, Frida is overall a kind reaver. She truly wants the best for everyone, but will refuse to do so at the expense of another. .collecting souls. There are two types of souls that Frida is most drawn towards. The first are the young, the ones she can gather in her arms and take under her wings. The second are the old, who have live fulfilled lives and are more than happy to come with her. She also tries to stick around the mothers, for they are not happy to leave their children (which Frida can relate, for her own soul is tugged towards her home and collected souls every time she leaves). For the mothers, Frida does what she can to assure them that their families with survive and continue to live with their memories so she is not forgotten. .Earth and Vocivus. When Frida is not reaping, she spends her time two-thirds on Earth and one-third at her home (with the occasional wandering the rest of Vocivus). Even though Frida doesn't like leaving her souls, she must go out and help the ones that are passing. People don't just die whenever she is around, so she waits - and who says she cannot enjoy her time waiting. On Earth, the Aeterna watches children the most. She loves their innocence, joy, and energy. Frida can pretty much see their strong souls around them - swirling in their brilliance with such promise. Because she watches the children, she also gets to know their families (like the one she doesn't have). At the other end of the spectrum, Frida likes to watch the elderly - more specifically those that are not yet done with living. They truly live it up until it is there time to go, and their (sometimes) eagerness gladdens her own soul. How the humans interact, both with themselves and with the young, also intrigues her mind. Because of this, she is usually in city settings or rural gatherings where there are more people. .emotions.The best way to describe it is that Frida's 'soul'/feelings/etc are visible. Now, she usually is very colorful, as she really has multiple things on her mind at any given point in time. Listed are some basic colors, which will be updated as Frida develops further. black. grief, fearwhite. puritybrown. aggressionred. love, excitementpink. sinceritypurple. authority, confidentblue. content, nuetralgreen. envy, jealousyyellow. happy . . HEN . ...a female chicken especially over a year old .about.The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a domesticated fowl, a subspecies of the red junglefowl. As one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a population of more than 24 billion in 2003, there are more chickens in the world than any other species of bird. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food, consuming both their meat and their eggs. Chickens are omnivores. In the wild, they often scratch at the soil to search for seeds, insects and even larger animals such as lizards, small snakes or young mice. Chickens may live for five to ten years, depending on the breed. The world's oldest chicken, a hen, died of heart failure at the age of 16 according to Guinness World Records. Roosters can usually be differentiated from hens by their striking plumage of long flowing tails and shiny, pointed feathers on their necks (hackles) and backs (saddle), which are typically of brighter, bolder colours than those of females of the same breed. However, in some breeds, such as the Sebright chicken, the rooster has only slightly pointed neck feathers, the same colour as the hen's. The identification can be made by looking at the comb, or eventually from the development of spurs on the male's legs (in a few breeds and in certain hybrids, the male and female chicks may be differentiated by colour). Adult chickens have a fleshy crest on their heads called a comb, or cockscomb, and hanging flaps of skin either side under their beaks called wattles. Collectively, these and other fleshy protuberances on the head and throat are called caruncles. Both the adult male and female have wattles and combs, but in most breeds these are more prominent in males. A muff or beard is a mutation found in several chicken breeds which causes extra feathering under the chicken's face, giving the appearance of a beard. Domestic chickens are not capable of long distance flight, although lighter birds are generally capable of flying for short distances, such as over fences or into trees (where they would naturally roost). Chickens may occasionally fly briefly to explore their surroundings, but generally do so only to flee perceived danger. .impact.Frida definitely took on the protective side of her hen personality. She wants to be there for others, even if she is in their way. However, when it comes to perceived danger, this aerterna does not back down. She will fight, peck, and claw, to protect what she thinks is her's. This mostly comes out during her reaping, as well as her home in Vocivus. And always ask before you try to take one of her eggs! Speaking of eggs, perhaps one of the most obvious side effects of her hen side is her ability to create (not really lay) eggs. Inside each egg is the actual creation, no matter how big or small. Her home in Vocivus is packed with eggs. Some open, others do not... but she hides them all. . Classification . Breed . Type . Roost . Standards . Nest . Gallery . Pecking Order . Credits .

. EGG DYE . ... a soluble or insoluble coloring matter .about. It's pretty much common knowledge that Easter is a Christian celebration of Christ's rising, but this holiday also has pagan origins. Where did the colored eggs, cute little bunnies, baby chicks, leg of lamb dinners, and lilies come from? They are all symbols of rebirth and the lamb was a traditional religious sacrifice. Easter falls in the spring, the yearly time of renewal, when the earth renews itself after a long, cold winter. The ancient Egyptians, Persians, Phoenicians, and Hindus all believed the world began with an enormous egg, thus the egg as a symbol of new life has been around for eons. The particulars may vary, but most cultures around the world use the egg as a symbol of new life and rebirth. A notation in the household accounts of Edward I of England showed an expenditure of eighteen pence for 450 eggs to be gold-leafed and colored for Easter gifts. The first book to mention Easter eggs by name was written five hundred years ago. Yet, a North African tribe that had become Christian much earlier in time had a custom of coloring eggs at Easter. Long hard winters often meant little food, and a fresh egg for Easter was quite a prize. Later, Christians abstained from eating meat during the Lenten season prior to Easter. Some European children go from house to house begging for Easter eggs, much like Halloween trick-or-treaters. Called pace-egging, it comes from the old word for Easter, Pasch. Many old cultures also attributed the egg with great healing powers. It is interesting to note that eggs play almost no part in the Easter celebrations of Mexico, South America, and Native American Indian cultures. .applications....dipped ...dunked ...submerged ...crackled ...painted ...screened .impact.The egg dye has a significant importance on Frida's personality. As the dye of the egg can be used to define the purpose of the egg's "new life", so the color that is prominent can be used to indicate her mood. Most of the time, she has a myriad of colors because one feels multiple different things at any time, depending on what is playing out in the back of your mind. When Frida is feeling an extreme emotion, that color become predominant. She literally wears he heart on her sleeve, or arm as she doesn't really wear sleeves. . Classification . Breed . Type . . HOME . In Frida's home on Vocivus, everything is all about color. She has a meadow splashed with pinks and blues, greens and purples. Flowers of all kinds dot the rolling hill, with a small cottage-looking hut hidden under the boughs of a goldenrod-branched tree. In fact, the whole meadow was surrounded by trees. They acted as a visual border and security blanket for the hen aeterna looking for a comfortable place where she can relax and just enjoy the company of her collected souls. Many of them stuck around, just like the eggs scattered across her home. There are rainbow-colored and multi-designed eggs everywhere. T hey are hidden among the grass, flowers, and branches. Some are etheral, even here, while others are fully solid. Some have a seam and are meant to be opened, and others are completely sealed and obviously not ready. Frida's cottage is quite the sight. It is the only thing white (not even the clouds are so). It is stark white with not a speck of color or dirt. The roof is thatched with straw. The windows are uncovered, there is no need for windows or bars. The climate is always serene with just a little breeze. If one were to walk inside, they would be pleasantly impressed with the calm colors. Whereas outside appears to be a spattering of color everywhere, it is almost planned inside the single-roomed cottage. The walls are white again, the table and bed frame a rich dark pine. The bed spread is just a pastel quilt. Matching floating shelving cover one wall and hold what possessions Frida deems worthy. Another wall is completely made up in an abstract, colorful design that she recreated to match an art gallery exhibit style she saw once (complete with raised paint). This wall is never the same. It changes every time Frida returns. Looking around, there are still more rainbow eggs. How many does she have!? . Classification . Breed . Type . Roost . Standards . Nest . Gallery . Pecking Order .
