It's Easter!
What does the Aeterna do?
Does she watch the human festivities (such as Easter egg hunts)?
What does she think of the holiday?

Easter was one of Frida’s favorite holidays. The human families came together, but they also do so with other families. This time, she scoped out and found a town that was having a community-sponsored Easter egg hunt.

Who doesn’t like a good egg hunt?

In the middle of the park, on the sunny Easter day, Frida perched on the shoulders of the statue sharing in her vigil over the children. The parents of the older children picnicked in the open area where they could keep an eye on their kiddos while the younger children were aided by their much larger counterparts.

Unbeknownst to the humans, Frida added some of her own eggs. Of course, her ability to interact was nil but she had strong faith that she could influence. So, as she surveyed all the kids squealing with delight over their plunder, the Aeterna could only smile broadly when her glowing influences remained with the eggs she had placed them with.

Those children’s faces lit up just a little more than the others – and Frida’s soul lifted with them.

It's raining and her colors may or may not look a little faded
(it could just be a trick of a lack of sun).

How does she feel?
Does she like the rain?

Frida looked outside of the school with a forlorn gaze. She had followed a janitor here, but it was only mildly overcast when she entered. The man was old and his aura was weakening, but he just wasn’t ready. She decided to stay awhile and watch the children. Their antics always lifted her spirits. Now, however, it was raining…and it was her first experience! She had heard about it, but never had the opportunity – until now.

The Aeterna made a goofy grin and bolted outdoors. The rain felt wonderful! The water soaked her hair, dripped down her skin, and she just loved the way swirled around when she flapped her wings. It did not take much longer for her to take a look at her arms. It was like she was bleached! Her colors were muted, and sometimes she had to squint just to see what color it was. For someone who could not hide her feelings, Frida was ecstatic and other Aeternus would have a hard time knowing that just by her colors right now.

How wonderful! She should come back for more reaping when it is raining.

The Aeterna returns to the Vocivus after a day of soul reaping.
What does the Aeterna do?
What does her version of the Vocivus look like?
What does she reap?
How does she feel about it?

It is great to be home, Frida thought as she sprawled in her meadow. The multi-colored grass tickled her skin as some almost-white pastel flowers gently petted her face. Above, pink clouds drifted along a yellow sky. The ambient light didn’t seem to have a source but it bathed everything in a welcoming hug. Everything about her meadow and cottage spoke of home.

Closing her eyes, she could sense the souls she brought back being enfolded in the affection of the others. Frida smiled, those were her souls! She always felt proud of them, for they did this every time. It helped the new souls to acclimate and adjust to their new existence with ease. These ones were going to need it this time.

There was a whole group of them that went at the same time. It was a traffic accident of horrendous proportions. Frida was standing on a pedestrian walkway and saw the whole thing. It was the beginning of the blizzard, but her keen eyes saw exactly when the car lost control. Silly humans, they were suckered into false security on the roads and everyone was going too fast – in too much of a hurry. They paid with their lives.

The multi-car pile-up did not discriminate, and not a single one of them was ready to go. These reapings were hard on Frida. She never felt confident that she did enough to help their passing – she was lacking, but she did what she could.

…and where she was done…her souls picked up the slack.

Frida opened her eyes, her big-toothed smile offering its own light to the meadow. “Welcome home!”

User ImageUser ImageSpring is in full swing and as the Aeterna goes about the human realm to do her job,
she notices she's being followed by a clutch of baby chicks!

Does she panic?
Does she enjoy it?
What does she do?
(Remember, interaction with anything in the human realm is extremely limited!)

Yes! Number seven!

Frida did a little happy dance while digging her toes in the freshly cut grass. Her trip to the senior home for this visit to Earth was winding up to be a wonderful day. To make matters even better, all of the souls she had just reaped were wonderful. They had had full lives filled with love, accomplishment, and fulfillments. In return, she was quite a colorful Aerterna right now: pink, pink, blue, and yellow, swirled around her.

After one more twirl, she saw a solid bright color out of the corner of her eye. Frida stopped mid-twirl, balancing back on both feet to get a better look.

Chicks! How adorable!

There were seven of them, clustered together and appeared to be looking at her. Wait, looking at her? Frida leaned to one side, and seven pairs of eyes followed her. She leaned back, and of course they watched her every move. Slightly concerned, the Aerterna stood up and walked a couple steps away. The chicks formed up in a line and followed.

Well, that doesn’t seem right…

She checked their auras, but they were all stronger than ever. Frida didn’t think she could continue reaping with seven little chicks following her, and even if she ditched them then she would only worry about their safety and where their mother might be. Her decision made, she looked around and started walking. She had to find their mother. While seven chicks walking in a line was slightly suspicious, she knew she would just have to take whatever risk was needed.

Frida was pretty certain that the chicks couldn’t have gotten too far away from their mother. She tried the little pond first, but there were only some male ducks.

Next, she led her temporary children to flower garden but still with no success. Frida chattered with the chicks, even though she was confident they could not hear it – it just made her feel a little more full of heart.

The cherry tree, picnic table, and porch, were all a bust. Frida was at a lost, so thought to give the parking lot a try.

No way.

There she was, chattering around in the middle of the lot, moving around the vehicles looking for her babies. The lead chick waddled around Frida and when he caught sight of his momma started waddling faster. The others soon joined in. The Aeterna took a seat on the curb to watch the reunion, her heart swelling even more.

Though she can't interact with the human world,
it's full of things that fill the Aeterna's senses.

Does she have a favorite thing?
Does she wish she could interact with that which stimulates her?
Does she improvise and make it in the Vocivus?

She was taking a day off to herself. Frida started the day like she imagined any normal human might – at the coffee shop. It was the beginning of the day and so it was hopping. She sat on the corner of the counter, watching people order, wait, chat, and take off with their cups of liquid of gold. The aeterna pretended to have a cup of her own, smiling and nodding as if she were a part of the conversation.

Acting as if her caffeine intake were satisfied, Frida strode along the sidewalk toward her destination – a new art gallery exhibit that was the star of a party tonight. While she will return for the party tonight, she wanted a first-hand view without the crowd of people so she could enjoy the art.

It was an abstract artist, with each piece hosting a lot of color. This was exactly the style Frida liked to soak in on a relaxing day. The art pieces were already set up, but the workers were running around to get the details in order.

Entering through the front door, Frida was bombarded with the delectable smells of roses, cookies, and drying paint. She swirled around, allowing the scents to wash over her before making her way to the first piece. It was wonderful! She found herself lost in the swirls, specks, and blends. Her eyes feasted along with her nose. Frida reached out and touched the raised paint, using what touch she had on Earth to do all she could to fill all of her senses.

Each piece was remarkable. The Aeterna was almost half way through the gallery when the first guest arrived and still had two left after the last guest left.

Her heart and soul filled, Frida went home to recreate one of the walls in her cottage to match what she saw.
