Team Sunstrike's team quarters can be identified through a small wooden sign attached to their front door. On it, the team name and symbol (a bright sun) are delicately carved by a skilled claw.
In the center of the room is a large, woven floor rug that feels soft and comfortable under foot and paw. It sits between the door to a small, private garden and a large stone fireplace. While neither are very extravagant, both were requested by the team's captain (Skye) in order to provide adequate heating and food resources.
In the right corner of the room, opposite the door to the hallway, is a large wooden table. Cushioned benches line the walls to provide comfortable seating, and two cushioned chairs sit at the opposite sides. These chairs hide storage underneath, as do the benches.
The other side of the room contains a large shelf, stocked with several baskets for holding essential items such as medicines and food. There is also a section of the shelf reserved for belongings that are shared between teammates, and the shelf as a whole is well-organized due to a team effort between Skye and Vyra.
The final component of the room is a pool of water, walled off by wide flat stones on which the team members can comfortably sit. The water in this pool is cycled through by a series of pipes, and keeping it clean and fresh for cooking, drinking and bathing.
The garden can be found through the back door, and containing both a substantial flowerbed and a large planter for growing herbs and vegetables. These are primarily tended to by Zahra, and several of the plants seem to be somewhat foreign or tropical in nature (from her home forest, of course). There are also several large stones embedded in the ground, perfect for sunbathing and socializing.
The bedrooms are through the hallway to the side, with a separate space for each team member. Each contains a bed and a shelf for holding any belongings personal to each Pokemon. Quil's room is the exception to the rule, as his room only contains a series of beautifully-constructed cobwebs and a thickly-woven nest in the far corner of the ceiling.xxxxx ( ☼ т є α м ѕ υ η ѕ т я ι к є ) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Skye & QuilSkye stepped into the center of the vast, empty room. There was little here, aside from the bedrolls and a bundle of food and other necessities, but clearly there was potential. She had lucked out in having the information network that she did. Without it, she doubted that she would’ve been able to arrive so early to the guilds and secure herself a quality space for herself and her team. Not this high quality, anyway.
There was a thin layer of dust on the floor, leftover from renovations where they had installed the freshwater bathing pond in the corner, as well as the fireplace that she’d requested. The furniture was apparently to arrive later that week, but in the meantime she was quite pleased with the results. There was room for expansions with later additions to the team, much in the same way that her mother’s team had lived, and there was a set of glass doors leading out into a small green space. In time, they could create a garden for themselves.
The Espeon felt a strange emotion well up in her chest, torn between the nervousness and excitement of something new and the nostalgia of what she had once left behind. At her shoulder, she felt Quil tenderly pat her neck in comfort. She could sense the warmth that radiated not just from his physical form, but also from within his heart. It was a pleasant sensation, and one that she was more than delighted to have back into her life.
”This is our room, Quil. What do you think?” she asked him quietly, her voice soft and anxious. She wanted to know what he truly thought of it, whether or not he could be happy here. If he could, so could she.
”Skye, this is our room, but it is also our home.” The tiny bug crawled down onto her leg, clinging tightly a she lifted it to look him in the eyes. ”My mom always told me that home is more than where you rest your head at night. It is where the people you love enjoy their lives together. Our families aren’t here, but that does not mean we can’t make a home here between the two of us.” He spoke softly, and with a reverence that might have held the attention of even the angriest person. Still, there was a note of concern and insecurity that broke his voice toward the end.
Skye sat down, careful not to dislodge her partner from his place on her leg, and she drew him in for a warm hug. ”Quil, you have always been my family,” she assured him, blinking tears from her eyes. ”Welcome home.”

Skye & Quil & ZahraZahra stood in complete silence, her eyes wide with surprise as she surveyed the scene around her.
The bland, green space in front of her had been partially dug up, revealing a large swath of thick earthy soil. The grass was a little overgrown, but trimmed more neatly around the smooth, flat stones in the center of the garden. Many small bags of seeds and bulbs were piled haphazardly against the fence, and several large shrubs lay sideways in the grass. There were a few flowers already planted, the damp soil spread around their base indicating that it had clearly been a recent effort.
Quil and Skye stood in front of her, with the Espeon’s feet coated in mud and the tiny Joltik still holding a flower bulb in his claws. They didn’t really move for a moment, looking as surprised as she felt, and perhaps a little embarrassed.
Skye stepped closer, smiling sheepishly. ”…Well, we were hoping that we might have it a little more… completed, by the time you woke up this morning. We didn’t really count on how long it would take to get things started,” she explained quietly, flattening her ears. ”I’m used to tending gardens, not planting new ones. We wanted to do something for you, to give you a garden like you would’ve had back at the forest.”
The Espeon’s expression was open and honest, and Zahra felt her expression soften as she realized what they had been trying to accomplish.
”You were trying to start a garden- for me?” the Togetic questioned, her heart lifting. She could see the nearly imperceptible nod from Quil, and a brilliant smile broke out onto the fairy’s face. ”You two are idiots,” she laughed, her eyes bright with excitement. ”You’re supposed to plant the shrubs first.”
Skye grinned back, butting her head lightly against Zahra’s shoulder as the Togetic pulled her into a hug. ”…Thank you,” she murmured, a little more quietly now that she’d gotten over her surprise.
”We’re forgiven for yesterday, then?” Skye questioned a little nervously, her tail curled around her back paw. Zahra could feel the anxiety floating off of her, and wondered vaguely if Skye was intentionally sharing how she felt with psychic.
”I’m the one who needs to apologize for that,” Zahra argued, shaking her head. ”I was being unreasonable. I just get kind of… snippy when I’m worried about other things, you know?” The admission didn’t come without embarrassment on her part and she couldn’t bring herself to meet Skye’s eyes as she spoke.
”It’s okay, Zahra. We understand.” The small words were filled with concern, and she could hear the compassion in Quil’s voice as he crawled forward to stand between herself and Skye. Zahra bent down, lifting him up in both hands so that she could see him properly.
”Just, maybe talk to us in future?” Skye offered dryly, her lopsided smile bringing back Zahra’s own.
”That… might be an option, yeah.” There was a quiet laugh from her team captain, and Quil beamed up at her from the palms of her hands. ”I think maybe we should start with fixing up the garden, though.”

Neo The last Team on the list—assuming that his teammates had all done the deliveries he’d assigned them to. Neo’s expression was bright and excited as he carried his last three gifts to the door of Team Sunstrike. He’d taken great care in this set, just as he had with the last set, and he wasn’t disappointed; a Vespara never went halfway when it came to Christmas gifts—never.
There were two individual presents, a large one wrapped in silver and a small one wrapped in gold addressed to Skye and Quil respectively. Both of them contained matching scarves that Neo had made himself, after many painstaking hours of work, assisted by Air of all people. The Ditto helped in a number of ways, from taking on the shape of an Espeon and Joltik to help ensure the scarves were the right sizes, to instructing him on how to knit when he first began. Neo knew that Quil was surely capable of making better garments, given the quality of the earplugs he’d been made in a matter of seconds, but it seemed to be in the spirit of the season to make something nice for his first Guild friends, especially since Quil most likely rarely made special things for himself. Beside the pair of presents was a basket of muffins filled with various spices and berries addressed to the whole team, and Neo placed his card atop the basket with a smile. Giving gifts was so rewarding, there was really nothing like it in the entire world. With a gentle knock on the door, Neo turned and headed back toward his room, leaving the gifts to be discovered on their own. The card he left said everything for him.
Sending you warm holiday wishes! Hope you’re doing well! -Team Essence
And on the back:
P.S. Come by and visit sometime! I’d love to meet the rest of your Team, and for you to meet mine! -Neo
